Structure name display in reports

HI all,
I have designed a query in that I am using two structures(one in coloumn and one in rows)
In coloumn the strure name is "order",and for rows the name is "Education".
But in the out name the names of the structures are not displaying in the report.
How to do this?

hi expert i have little query , in ax 2012 R3 there is report vend-invoice Report, actually i want to display vendor name on that report,by default there is no vendor name,for this i just added vendor name(extended data type) in vendinvoice temp table,and

A condition to avoid displaying a product with the same Product Name in a report

hello,
Is there a condition to avoid displaying contents of two similar product names in a subreport?
here is the scenario:
Need to display Parent information in a separate List - Good
child Product information in Sub-report,
I'm passing both ProductID and ParentName parameters into Sub-Report to display the contents of the sub-report. If there are no similar Parent name, the sub-report works fine. But if there are similar ParentName, my sub-report
starts listing all Products from the parent name.
example
Parent Product 1 ->
Sulphate
Product_ID -> xx345
child Product1 -> SulPhur (details...) in a SubReport
Parent Product 2 ->
Sulphate
Product_ID -> xx3342
Child Product1 -> Sulphuric Acid (details...) in a SubReport

Per my understanding that both the subreport and the main report contains the field "ProductID" and "ProductName", and some of the ProductID will map the same ProductName which will display some duplicate subreport in the list like below,
right?
I have used some sample data as below and you can see when the different ProductID have the same values of "ProductName" and "Amount" and some other field value, it will display all the duplicate information
in the subreport when add the main report in a list:
ProductID   ProductName Amount:
    1               ZXITest         220
    2               ZXITest         220
    3               ZXITest2       100
    4               ZXITest3       200

Displaying current user's first and last name on a report.

I would like to dispay the current user's name on a report. I've tried using User() and NQ_SESSION current user .
These two options display the User ID (i.e. User name is Jon Smith. there ID is COMP/JSMITH.
Using the two methods above the ID (COMP/JSMITH) is displayed. Is there a way I could display Jon Smith?
I thought their might be a way to use Full Name or First and Last Name.

Passing Display Name to Portlet(report) as a parameter???

Does anyone know if we can pass the Display Name for a report dynamically to the portlets?
For now, I have had to create one page for each report(portlet) by Overwriting the report display
option and using specific Query Option for each portlet. Preferably I would just call the report
with two parameters, one used in the sql to narrow down the query and the second for the Display
Name.

Text data is not displaying at Report level for an Infoobject Item name

Hi All,
Texts data is maintained at Info object level but text information is not displaying at Report level for an object. I have set the property at query level as "Text", but at report level it is displaying key values of the object, not displaying texts information. This problem occured in QA(Quality) system but not replicated in Production system. I have checked all properties at backend and query level and compared the same between QA and Production system didn't find any difference.
Please suggest what might be the cause: at report level it is displaying key values instead of the textual information even text data is mainintained at backend. In production it is displaying textal data for the IO.

Thanks for your valuable information. I have changed the setting under Advanced tab as "Master data" for Access type for results values, but didn't solved the problem still it showing key information for the IO.
In Production system the report displaying texts information for the IO, but in QA its displaying key information. The problem exits only in QA, its working fine in DEv and Production.
As per my understanding might be the issue with Patches will be checking with Basis team on the same.
Please suggest if you have any alternatives to fix the issue.

Error in displaying hierachry report with TableView and Tableiterator

I tried to create a BSP as shown in this tutorial:

When starting the BSP I get an error that a field symbol is not assigned in the method get_column_name.
When debugging the method get_column_name I can see that row_ref is initial. So the field symbols <row> and <col> are not assigned to any values, which causes the error some lines below.

Display Different reports depending on values in a User Selectable Dropdown

Hello,
I want to create a report which has a Drop-down and depending on the value selected from the drop-down, i want to display different reports.
Say, a drop-down has 3 values, v1, v2 and v3. Now, if a user selects v1, he/she should see report r1. If v2 is selected, the user should see report r2. if v3 is selected from the drop-down, then report r3 should be visible. All the 3 reports have different structures (even different no. of columns). Also, v1, v2 and v3 are 3 different values belonging to a same picklist type field.
Do you think this is possible? If yes, How ?
Any sort of help will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The only way i could see this working would be to create a picklist on a object and then create your three reports placing them within the same folder and name the report something under 30 charters then place the same name in the picklist value and create a weblink to the report which at selection of the report will run either report.

Structure name for a particular Tcode

Hi Experts,
Is there any way to find out the structure used for a particular Tcode.
For Eg: for Asset Balance Reports there is a structure FIAA_SALVTAB_RABEST where i can add certain standard fields from ANLAV Table for displaying in ALV Report.
I want to find out the structure names for other Tcodes also.
Pls provide solution for the above.

If you want to create ABAP Query fist you should identify the required fieldu2019s technical names and which table they are in. Second thing is we should have one field act as a primary field in all tables then only you can join the tables and pull the data from tables.
Give a name to the query and click on the Create button give the description and specify the output length. Select the functional group that you desired
The Select Field screen gets displayed. Select all the fields from the user group that you need to display on the output of the query.

Once you have all the data in the internal table, just use function module 'Download' or 'WS_Download' and pass the parameters in function module like the below for example.

Display the reports under all subfolders at a time in the content area?

In SAP EP portal,We have a requirement to display few reports wherein we have 7 roles with the same names but different ID's and they are merged together so that even if the users have 7 roles assigned he will see only 1 tab in the first level navigation and uder that there will be one folder at the second level.Now the requirement is like this
1st level navigation : Role Name
2nd level navigation :Folder Name
Detailed Navigation : Folder Name
                                 Sub Folder Name
                                 Sub -sub folder1 Name
                                 Reports   --(one or many)
                                 Sub -sub folder2 Name
                                 Reports   --(one or many)
                                 Sub -sub folder3 Name
                                 Reports   --(one or many)
Under al the sub-sub folders a workset map iview is added to display the reports with a pictogram in the content area.In the detailed navigation, as soon as the user clicks on the Sub folder the user should be able to see the reports under all the Sub-sub folders( Sub-sub folder1,Sub-sub folder2,Sub-sub folder3) .But currently the user has to explicitly click on each of the Sub-sub folders to view the reports(thrice in this case).Plz give a solution in which all the reports under the 3 Sub-sub folders should appear simultaneouly in the content area at a single click on Sub Folder

After looking into ur BW url , i think u r not using webtemplates.
u can follow below steps
Creating an BEx Web Application iView :
1.Right-click on the iViews folder, and choose New → iView. The iView Wizard displays.
2.Select iView template create an iView from an existing iView template radio button.
3.Choose Next.
4.In the iView Wizard, select BEx Web Application iView radio button.
5.Choose Next.
6.Enter a name, iView ID and iView ID Prefix.
7.Choose Next.
8.Choose SAP BW2.x/3.x radio button from Version.
9.Choose Next.
10.Select the SAP BW system alias SAP_BW and in the BEx Web Application Query String, copy the query id from the URL of your desired query from the string text &INFOCUBE onwards (for example, &CMD=LDOC&INFOCUBE=0MKTG_C01&QUERY=ZMKTG_C01_Q7001).
11.Choose Next.
And also maku sure u have configured WAS settings in system object u have created
