Struggling with Ant Task

I have not success trying Kodo's ant task.
Can you give me an example of how to use it without relaying on the system
classpath, since I running ant inside jbuilder, I will like to know which
is the right format to get the task working.
<target name="enhancer" depends="compile,clean">
<copy todir="${classdir}" overwrite="yes">
<fileset dir="${srcdir}">
<include name="**/*.jdo"/>
</fileset>
</copy>
<taskdef name="jdoc"
classname="com.solarmetric.modules.integration.ant.JDOEnhancerTask"
classpath="${kodohome}/lib/kodo-jdoee.jar;${kodohome}/lib/jdo_0_95.jar;${kodohome}"/>
<jdoc srcDir="${classdir}">
<fileset dir=".">
<include name="**/*.jdo" />
</fileset>
</jdoc>
</target>
this is the exception that I get :
D:\JavaProjects\DatabaseLayer\build.xml:38: Could not create task of type:
jdoc due to java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

jdoc due to java.lang.NoClassDefFoundErrorYou are probably running into a general shortcoming of ant: the classes
which define custom tasks have to be in ant's classpath. That
"classpath" parameter to the taskdef does not define where ant looks
for the taskdef itself -- unfortunate but true! This is something the
ant people have talked about fixing.
In the meantime, you'll just need to put the necessary Kodo jars in your
$ANT_HOME/lib. Hopefully that will fix your problem.

  • Change manifest file in existing EAR file with ANT task

    Hi,
    I use ant task (ojdeploy) to create EAR files from ADF application.
    Now I want to add the application version number to MANIFEST.MF.
    Is it possible to do the manifest file modification IN THE EXISTING EAR FILE (or while creating the EAR file with ojdeploy) with ant task or do I have to do the modification in the source MANIFEST.MF and after this create EAR file with ojdeploy?
    BTW: I tried the <ear> task to create the EAR file instead of using ojdeploy but I was not able to find the needed deployment descriptor (appxml="application.xml") in my ADF appication.
    regards
    Peter

    Hi Peter,
    I don't know of a way to do it directly in ANT/ojdeploy. However, you could try exploding the EAR, updating the manifest, and recreating the EAR - cumbersome and slow, but it should work.

  • How to generate not nillable complexType with ant task autotype

    Hi all,
    The file types.xml created by ant task autotype contains, among others, all element definitions of my java classes.
    For testing purposes I have a simple class that holds (wraps) only a string. In the types.xml it is shown as followed:
    <xsd:complexType name="StringHolder">
    <xsd:sequence>
    <xsd:element name="mystring"
    type="xsd:string"
    nillable="true"
    minOccurs="1"
    maxOccurs="1">
    </xsd:element>
    </xsd:sequence>
    </xsd:complexType>
    Somehow nullabel is always true, but I want to be false. Does anyone knows how?

    Hello digitxm,
    Since the hardware you have is the limiting factor, with the NI 6008 you can perform a software timed pwm output if timing in your application is not critical (your cycle time is in the seconds range and you do not mind some milliseconds of delay) you can use a digital output with software timing control for your PWM generation. Also, see how to use AO channel(s) to control the voltage level of a square wave output (period of the square wave can be varied). Otherwise, this can be accomplished by using the following example on generating a digital waveform using non-regeneration in order to update frequency and duty cycle on-the-fly using National Instruments M Series or X series DAQ devices.

  • Is there an ant task on FlexUnit to open browser with swf embedded?

    Here is the same (unanswered) question asked by someone else: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/740495?tstart=0#740495
    Basically I need to open my flex app in a browser window from ant, and the FlexUnit task apparently does not support this.
    I have downloaded a sample from FlexMonkey. When they (sample writers) execute flexunit in this sample, one of the arguments to FU is "url". However, I can find no evidence of this version of FU (that uses that "url" argument) existing anywhere. Using the swf argument doesn't work as documented in the previous question above. So I don't know if my problem is Flex version, or it's just not supported by FlexUnit.
    I'm using the Flex sdk 3.2.0 and the FU libraries below:
    flexunit-4.1.0-33-as3_3.5.0.12683.swc
    flexunit-4.1.0-33-flex_3.5.0.12683.swc
    flexunit-cilistener-4.1.0-33-3.5.0.12683.swc
    flexunit-uilistener-4.1.0-33-3.5.0.12683.swc
    flexUnitTasks-4.1.0-33.jar
    Please tell me if this issue has been solved and if so what libraries I need to implement it. If it is done for Flex 4.x, but not for Flex 3.2, perhaps you could guide me to the java source for the ant task for Flex 4.x so that I can implement this for Flex 3.2 or Flex 3.x.
    thanks,
    Phil

    @Linden - Have not heard of this side effect from anyone as of yet, but good to know.  Sounds like the file lock is coming from the Flash Player and causing the spawning process (rundll32.exe) to hang around as well.  The FlexUnit team runs on Hudson using the FlexUnit Ant task, but we don't seem to encounter the same issue.  What's the longest interval you've tried to use with the sleep task?  Does the FP ever release its handle to the test SWF on your development machines?
    Not sure this is a problem with the FlexUnit Ant task, but in 4.2 we could try to explicitly kill the rundll32 process since we'll have the PID when the task launches it.  Head on over to JIRA and file a feature request for us and I'll see what I can do in the new year.  In the short term though, maybe try upgrading your version of the stand alone debug flash player to see if that helps.  Has anyone else seen this issue?  Could you possible just move the clean target to be called before the xci-test target is run?  Just some suggestions.

  • Error with ant build and JUnit task in IntelliJ

    Hi,
    I seem to be having a very annoying error in IntelliJ. Here are the stats:
    - IntelliJ 4.5.1, Build 2239
    - Using own version of ant (1.5.1)
    - removed junit37.jar from my ant1.5.1/lib dir, and instead added junit version 3.8.1 of junit.jar to that dir
    - Specified that same junit.jar in my project classpath (this is the only item in the classpath for my test project)
    - MyTest.java is the only class in my project, and it is specified as a JUnitTest in run/debug configurations and includes the classpath and jdk of my project module
    When I right-click on my test class, and go to "Run" then my simple test passes. I see the results in the run window.
    Here is where the issue lies (and why this is confusing me). When I try to run the same test from my build.xml file in this project, specified with the classpath as the same from my project, and with the following junit task, I get the below error (3 times in a row for whatever reason). If any of you know of a configuration issue that I may be missing, please let me know. It is very frustrating! Thanks a lot, in advance.

  • Problems with wlserver ant task for WL 8.1

    hi
    i have a problem with using wlserver ant task for Weblogic 8.1
    basically i want to start the server that is already preconfigured and deploy
    one ear.
    here's what i do:
    <taskdef name="wlserver" classname="weblogic.ant.taskdefs.management.WLServer">
    <classpath refid="lib.classpath"/>
    </taskdef>
    <wlserver action="start" dir="D:/BEA/user_projects/domains/mydomain"
    output="wls81.log"/>
    (and then the deployment task - irrelevant here)
    the classpath is generated automatically and includes all jars in the specific
    project directory:
         <path id="lib.classpath">
         <fileset dir="${proj.lib.dir}">
              <include name="**/*.jar"/>
         </fileset>
         </path>
    (weblogic.jar is there as well)
    the problem is when i run it, the following happens:
    - if i have action="start" (or no action attribute at all), i get the following
    exception:
    java.lang.NullPointerException
    at weblogic.Home.<init>(Home.java:29)
    at weblogic.Home.getInstance(Home.java:86)

    at org.apache.tools.ant.Main.start(Main.java:196)
    at org.apache.tools.ant.Main.main(Main.java:235)
    - if i change it to action="startup" as specified on "wlserver Ant Task Reference"
    it seems that this task is skipped completely. no error messages, no stack trace,
    nothing. i tried -verbose and -debug options on ant, but there're no logs displayed
    whatsoever. it takes less than a second to run this task so i presume it's just
    getting skipped completely.
    i run this from the standalone Ant 1.5.4 on Windows environment.
    i've followed the topic "wlserver Ant task for WebLogic 8.1" where kind of similar
    problem is described but putting weblogic.jar on the system CLASSPATH is not an
    option for this project.
    anyone has any idea about how to get this going?
    cheers

    sounds bug to me. NPE should be correctly handled with appropriate error
    message. Please contact BEA support to log the call.

  • Help With MXMLC Ant task

    Hello all. I've been using the MXMLC servlet compiler that
    comes with the fds-tomcat tutorial. I have recently tried to
    compile with MXMLC using the ant task. The application compiles the
    swf correctly except it cant seem to find the spring services I had
    configured.
    [MessagingError message='Unknown destination 'xxxxx'.']
    Now, when I go and try to get the servlet to compile it; ie:
    Bringing up the MXML file from the web browser, it works fine. Can
    Anybody identify what i'm doing wrong?

    Hey
    After scratching my head for couple hours and wrestling with
    the FDS configuration I have managed to get the application going.

    Hi,
    I do not manage to generate my JAXWS web services
    using jwsc ant task. It worked when my web services
    were JAX-RPC web services but now I have an error.
    In my build process, I generate first the web service
    artifacts from wsdl files using wsdlc :
    <path id="bea-ant-task.classpath">
    <pathelement location="${java.home}/../lib/tools.jar" />
    <fileset dir="${bea.home.dir}/wlserver_10.0/server/lib"/>
    <fileset dir="${bea.home.dir}/modules"/>
    </path>
    <taskdef name="wsdlc" classname="weblogic.wsee.tools.anttasks.WsdlcTask">
    <classpath refid="bea-ant-task.classpath" />
    </taskdef>
    <target name="generate-artifacts">
    <wsdlc type="JAXWS" srcWsdl="${build.wsdl.dir}/AlarmWS.wsdl" destJwsDir="${build.artifacts.jar.dir}" />
    <wsdlc type="JAXWS" srcWsdl="${build.wsdl.dir}/AlertWS.wsdl" destJwsDir="${build.artifacts.jar.dir}" />
    </target>Then I tried to generate my web services with jwsc :
    <taskdef name="jwsc" classname="weblogic.wsee.tools.anttasks.JwscTask">
    <classpath refid="bea-ant-task.classpath" />
    </taskdef>
    <target name="generate-webservices">
    <jwsc srcdir="src" destdir="${ear.dir}" keepGenerated="yes" classpathref="compile.classpath" >
    <module contextpath="myappli" name="webservices.jar" explode="true">
    <jws type="JAXWS" file="${myappli.path}/alarm/jwsendpoint/AlarmBean.java" compiledWsdl="${build.artifacts.jar.dir}/AlarmWS_wsdl.jar"/>
    <jws type="JAXWS" file="${myappli.path}/alert/jwsendpoint/AlertBean.java" compiledWsdl="${build.artifacts.jar.dir}/AlertWS_wsdl.jar"/>
    </module>
    </jwsc>

  • Deprecation with wlwBuild ant task?

    <pre>Dear All,
    How can I turn on deprecation for the ant task wlwBuild for Workshop applications?
    I have tried the attribute deprecation="on" for wlwBuild, but it did not work.
    Thanks a lot!
    George</pre>

    Well, I wish to find out all the deprecated classes and methods used in code, during compilation time.
    The ant task javac has the attribute deprecation which accomplishes the task.
    Similarly, is there anything in the ant task wlwBuild?
    Thanks a lot!

  • Using xsb files with xmlbeans ant task

    I have got an xsd which references other schemas: for these other schemas I have only the xsbs. The xmlbeans ant task refuse to load the xsd I'm giving in because cannot found the other schemas. I'd like to simply import the existing xsb so that the ant task can use them: does anyone know how to do it?
    Thank you in advance for any help

    Actually it doesn't work properly in SQL Server 2008 R2.  I have a similar EP task.  If I set the working directory to \\server\share\subdir the task fails. However, if I map a drive latter to the \\server\share and set working directory to <drive>:\subdir
    it works

  • Oracle BPM Ant tasks with Oracle BPM Studio cant find jar

    Hello,
    There is this documentation
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/anttasks/index.html
    which states how to run Ant tasks to do different tasks on Oracle BPM. In EVERY example in the doc and the INTERNET there is this line in build.xml
    <project name="OracleBPMExample" xmlns:fuego="antlib:fuego.tools.ant.enterprise">
    Now, could anyone PLEASE tell me where to find fuego.tools.ant.enterprise. Ive searched every jar in my installation, and couldnt find such package. From what Ive found out it should be something like fuego-antlib.jar but while it is well known and well discussed it is NOT AVALIABLE ANYWHERE.
    please, help. Im using Oracle BPM 10.3.2
    regards,
    Pawel

    You are right Mike... The ant tasks help you do process admin stuff... so that in the Enterprise environment, you can script it all, and not require manual deployments and such.
    Just download 10g Enterprise.... the library will be in there...

  • Does new type of unit testing in Flash Builder4 support ANT task ?

    Hi,
    I am using the new way of creating unit tests following this page http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flashbuilder/using/WS27ECA937-059A-4308-A2E2-F3A3AAB64337.html #WSF04FE993-D0BA-4a2b-BDF1-8B8ABF22E448, which is really easier and more efficient than old ways.
    But I then found that the old ANT task "flexunit" for running unit test not working any more.  So if I want to get the results of unit testing from a CI server, how could I do now?
    Thanks a lot
    Michael

    @Michael Lin89 - You can find information on using FlexUnit4 via Ant @ http://docs.flexunit.org/index.php?title=Ant_Task.  There has been a lot of information collected on the wiki as well related to the CI process.  You can see that info @ http://docs.flexunit.org/index.php?title=Continuous_Integration_Support.  There are also an assortment of community projects built to work with FlexUnit which you can check out on the community page @ http://docs.flexunit.org/index.php?title=Community_Projects. There is also a sample project for working with CI, Ant, Maven, and a few other technologies @ http://docs.flexunit.org/index.php?title=CI_Sample_Project_Information.
    Hope this helps to fill in the gaps as to what support we offer in terms of Ant and CI.
