Stuck applying SPstacks in ERP2005...

Thanks Jacob for quick response.
I have desktop with Pentium 3.0 GHZ and 4GB RAM, Windows XP.
CPU time and memory use was constant and had not reach to max.
I waited for 65 minutes and then stop the installation.
May be I should have waited little longer.
But, now can not continue EP6 installation because J2EE instance is not coming up. SAP Management Console does not have any process to start/stop.
Any idea how to revert the partial EP6 upgrades or resolve this problem?

I don't know if you found already the solution for automatic restart of messages but there is a possibilty of an automatic restart.
you have to open the url: HOST:Port/pimon
-> Configuration and Administration
-> Adapter Engine
-> Background Scheduling
Here you can create new jobs for restarting messages

Applying SP stacks

Hi Guru's,
I am installing solman 4.0,ecc 6.0 on ABAP+JAVA stack.
As I am planning to apply the SP stacks here I am having some queries.
1)Can I apply the stack through SPAM,if so please let me know how can I do that
2)Should I need to apply the Stacks for both JAVA and ABAP????

Hi rk,
You can apply ABAP SP stack using SPAM and SAINT.
And for Java you can use SAPINST or JSPM (if you have >= NW04s SPS09).

JSPM - applying SP stacks

Hi Guys,
I have just installed As Java 2004s + EP and it is at SP6. Now, i want to
update it to SP8. I have downloaded the stack 8.
I know JSPM is used to apply the stack. According to the documentation i
have,all the files have to be placed in the usr/sap/trans/EPS/in and then
applied.
But do these SCA files need to be extracted with sAPCAR like the kernel SAR
files?
What steps need to be done before starting JSPM and what steps after?
Can someone throw some light?

Hi Cyrus,
No other considerations. Just place them in EPS\in as
stated by Costas. Login as <sid>adm and run go.bat from
.../j2ee/JSPM/ folder. It shows the list where you
select the target SP level for the component. Its
recommended to update <i>only jspm</i> first and restart it and then the other components.

URGENT: How to Apply SP Stacks

Hi everyone,
I am new to the process of applying SP Stacks.
Currently i am going to apply SP Stack 13 for Solution Manager 7 (formerly 4.0).
So i download a group of files, according to the platform and dbms i have on my box.
In the list i see a bunch of .CAR, .SAR and .SCA files.
I know how to extract CAR and SAR files, and after some research i know how to do the same with SCA files. But my first question is , SCA files will be applied also using the SPAM transaction, after decompressing them??
What is the purpose of the SCA files???
Then, is there anyway to extract the CAR and SAR files using SAPCAR tool with one instruction???
Finally, once i extracted everything, the process of applying the patches will be the same as usual?? Meaning, going to SPAM, loading the packages (previously copied to EPS\in folder) and starting the process??
Any help will be great.

ABAP:
1.CAR & SAR, uncar the files using sapcar -xvf *.(CAR/SAR). Copy the PAT & CATT files to usr/sap/trans/EPS/in directory.
2. go to SPAM load the packages from app. server.
3. Define the Queue (DISPLAY/DEFINE)
4. Import
JAVA
1.SCA files, copy the SCA files to EPS/in directory
2. login as sisadm start the JSPM
usr/sap/sid/instance/j2ee/jspm
3.Deploy the components.
If u'r applying kernel also do JSPM first which also updates kernel.

2851 Router VPN - stack for level DMA/Timer Interrupt running low 36/9000

I have a site to site VPN. On my hub router I am seeing the following message EVERY minute in the log!

I have been trying to figure out what the DMA/Timer Interrupt is and what is causing it to run low.
If I run the "show stacks" command I can see:

It just rebooted
This router it just stands in front of a few servers and applies NAT.
So far this had happened a few times but since morning it rebooted already 3 times.
The Sagem ADSL router at my house has longer uptime. wtf!?!?

How do I apply programmatic skins for completely custom drawn components of a Flex library project?

Hello folks,
I am looking for best practices advice when (1) creating
custom components and (2) styling and skinning.
I already know how to skin a component part of the Flex
framework. I can make a class extending ProgrammaticSkin and have
my component skinned using CSS to link the component with the
reference to my custom class.
However what about those cases when you are completely
creating a component from scratch?
Imagine a "Freehand Drawing Canvas" component that allows the
user to draw on it and has some buttons to set color styles, line
styles, etc., or imagine a "Screen Flow Gallery" component that
displays visual objects in a fashion similar to Cover Flow in the
Mac.
In many components I am aware you may reuse other components
part of the Flex framework but I am trying to picture an scenario
where you would need to draw everything yourself because there just
isn't something to base it upon so you will end up drawing it from
scratch.
To learn how instead of building one of those components I
mentioned previously I decided to start with something simple that
would illustrate this like a LiteButton component that will behave
just like the Flex mx.controls.Button but will extend UIComponent
and be completely custom drawn.
The component will have a default look and will also be
style-able and skin-able. I will provide styles for users of the
component to modify and regarding skinning anyone can create a
custom ProgrammaticSkin adding its own drawing logic and link it to
the component via CSS with the ClassReference applied to the skin
selector.
So far so good and it's clear what I want to achieve. I
actually know how to do most of the stuff here but I have one
single problem.
Here is my question, where should I put my custom drawing
logic? If I do it in the updateDisplayList inside the class
extending UIComponent it works, however I thought that it would be
a better practice to do it using programmatic skins, that way I
could provide different skin themes for my component set.
The problem is that I can't make the programmatic work in
this scenario. I tried instantiating the custom programmatic skin
during the updateDisplayList of the LiteButton component and adding
it to my display object via addChild but that didn't do anything. I
also tried creating a "default.css" stylesheet and tried to use
ClassReference as I would normally do to skin an already existing
component (or composite component as well) but that didn't do
anything either.

These aren't mutually exclusive. When you provide a skin with
a
TypeSelector, you have to add it to the display list
somewhere, and this is
typically done in updateDisplayList or addChildren. I prefer
to do it in
updateDisplayList, because you can then change it if the
style changes.

I've never had any problem using an approach similar to
this...but I will
say that I couldn't see any advantage in creating a
default.css style sheet,
since it's not really default in the way that the one that
comes with Flex
is. It's much more obvious to anyone using your component
what's going on
there if you create a style sheet where they're likely to
spot it.

It seems like your approach is fine, but maybe you've made a
mistake in your
implementation.

You might want to consider also adding an instance of
HaloBorder to your
component. That brings a lot of functionality with it.

So, in iTunes, when you look at the shuffle's content (in the sidebar) and click on the playlist under the shuffle, over to the right, the songs are in your desired order, correct? Where do you look, or what do you do, that indicates the playlists are in alphabetical order? Are you saying that when you play the songs while using the shuffle, they play in alphabetical order?
If so, when you listen to the songs on the shuffle, are you using the playlist, or are you using the All Songs list? If you are in the default All Songs list, with the shuffle's power switch set to play-in-order (the middle position), the songs play alphabetically, I believe.
The 3rd gen shuffle uses VoiceOver. If you are in the All Songs list, you need to use VoiceOver to switch to the playlist (see manual linked below for details). When you are in the playlist (with the shuffle's power switch set to play-in-order), then the songs should play in playlist order.

Just as advise:
I would highly avoid any dual stack installations nowadays. You can install the J2EE engine on the same host but use a different SID so you have two separate instances.

Please help me resolve the Lync server 2013 deployment error: "An error occurred while applying SQL script for the feature BackendStore."

I am getting an error in "Step 2 - Setup or Remove Lync Server Components" of "Install or Update Lync Server System" step.
"An error occured while applying SQL script for the feature BackendStore. For details, see the log file...."
Additionally, all previous steps such as: Prepare Active Directory, Prepare first Standard Edition server, Install Administrative Tools, Create and publish topology are done without any errors. The user that I used to setup the Lync server is member of:

I Had similar issue i end up uninstalling and reinstallting but same issue, then i change the drive but same issue. It was I/O issue. After adjusting my I/O it fix our issue and installation went on without any issue.

I am using my AD in Windows Azure VMs. I created new VM of A3 (4 cores, 7 GB Memory) Windows Server 2012 R2, Port 1433 MSSQL added, made it a member of Domain and planned to install first Lync Server 2013 on it.
In "Setup or Remove Lync Server Components" of "Install or Update Lync Server System", got an Red Coloured text "An error
occurred while applying SQL script for the feature BackendStore."
I have not enabled monitoring and archiving server in topology builder. I added "Network Service" and assign "Full Control" in Security Permissions of "C:\CsData" and "C:\LyncShare".
I executed the SQL Setup Wizard and upgraded any instance to 2012.
Please guide.

Please check you have enough disk space for the disk where the folders are.
Check view log for detailed log information.

What should I do when my iPhone is in recovery mode, I'm trying to restore, and it's stuck at the "Waiting For iPhone" stage??

I dropped my iPhone on the ground, and as I went to pick it up, I started to swear under my breath as I realized my iPhone was in recovery mode. I'm like "how would an iPhone be this sensitive -_-," and so as my iPhone's docked unto my laptop, and with relentless attempts to restore my iPhone, I always find iTunes stuck at the "Waiting For iPhone" stage and I honestly have no clue what to do at this point. What should I do to bypass this or fix this problem? Or do I just wait? -_-

Nothing except that when I turn it on, there's a USB cable and an iTunes logo above it, indicating that it's in recovery mode.

I am trying to set a particular background for all the columns in the report(not for all the projects,so that I can avoid option of manually setting background color for complete report.For this I thought custom CSS is best option.So edited custom.css(C:\OBI11g_Middleware\Oracle_BI1\bifoundation\web\app\res\s_blafp\b_mozilla_4) file with below code and went to the Answers-> Criteria->Choose Column->style-> check "Use Custom CSS Class"->MyCell

I started manually writing the code instead of pasting and almost worked.In the mentioned below paths I dont have custom.css file,so I created one and manually entered below code.But does it work for only that particular column and not for all the columns.Is it supposed to work for all the columns or just that column.
For example: I have 2 cols in the report,I used "Use Custom CSS Class" -> MyCell for the first column and when I ran results it shows background color for only col1 and not for col2.I thought this feature will apply background color for all the columns in the report.Please correct me if I am wrong.
