Stuck at 7 o'clock

No matter the time of day, whenever I save something it will always be 7 o'something. The minutes are accurate but the hour is stuck at 7. The date and time are set and correct on the desktop and system preferences. Not a big deal until I try to use lesson planning software and everything is at the same time. This is only occurring on my Intel iMac, same file on my Intel Macbook the times are correct.

No one here can answer your question. We are all users and have no knowledge of Apples supply situation, order fulfillment or how long delivery might take. Your best bet is to contact Apple directly or be patient until your phone is shipped.

Limited to 5 Clock widgets ?

Hi,
in the past I had 7-8 different clock widgets with several timezones. It was quite handy to check about the time of day of my connections around the world before calling them.
Since the ML upgrade, some of these clocks are weird: there is no button, so I can't change the timezone/town base. I tried to remove them, and add new ones, but they pop in, without button, so I'm stuck with only 5 clocks...
I know I can use a paid widget to display different timezones, but I liked the clocks in a row...

The limit is there by demand of the record companies to prevent basically just what it appears that you're doing; sharing with multiple users without proper licensing. They will allow a certain amount of sharing, but they presume that the average family would not use more than five systems, so attempting to connect more goes beyond "personal use". I can't say for certain what the fair-use laws are in the UK, but in the US, your use as described on your posts would not be covered and so would be illegal unless you obtain a license from the record companies specifically to share/broadcast the music. If you're in a school, I would suggest you consult your school/district copyright office.
Sorry, but the five-user limitation to iTunes Sharing is fixed and cannot be altered.

Adobe Extension Manager CC frozen

Hi,
I have been having some serious problems with the Adobe Extension Manager.
I while ago, I updated from Photoshop CS6 to Adobe Creative Cloud and when I saw my Photshop extensions were not installed in Photshop CC, I launched the Extension Manager CC and was trying to install them to get the extensions in Photoshop.
What happened was, the Extension Manager froze somewhere in the middle of the isntallation and wasn't doing anything for more than 8 hours when I was installing the first extension. The Extension Manager wasn't reacting at all so I had to kill it, and ever since I open it up again the Extension Manager can't load and it gets stuck with the working-clock icon (see the attached image).
After I restart the computer I can open up the manager, however, when I try to install any extension again, it gets frozen again in the middle of the installation and I have to forse quit the app again. I uninstalled it and installed it again, but no change.
The Extension manager was running smoothly on CS 6 but I had no luck with the CC. What is intersting though is when I install extensions not through the Extension Manager as "Subtle Patterns" it's showing in Photoshop and there are no problems with it.
I'm running on Mac OS X 10.8.5
Hope to get some help because I would really need those exptensions. Thank you.

Please make sure you have write permission to "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC" and all its subfolders. And please delete "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Configuration/DB/ExMan.db" if this file exists.
If it still doesn't work after you granted sufficient permission to yourself, please try to run EM as administrator.
1. Run "/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app".
2. Input the following command then press "Return" key. Don't miss the double quotation marks.
   sudo "/Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CC/Adobe Extension Manager CC.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Extension Manager CC"
3. Input password of administrative user then press "Return" key.
If it works, you can try to run EM in normal way.
If it doesn't work, please generate log files and send it to [email protected]
1. In Terminal window, run the following commands in turn:
   cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/Extension\ Manager\ CC/
   mkdir Log
   cd Log
   touch ExManCoreLibLog.YES
2. Open Finder, hold down "option" key, click menu "Go"->"Library" to go into hidden Library folder, then go to its subfolder "Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CC/Log", check whether file ExManCoreLibLog.YES exists.
3. Launch EM.
4. After EM hangs, force quit it, send the log file in the Log folder above to us.

Not familiar with your board particularily, but i've used a lot of different ones in the past.
If you don't get anything on the monitor, often its something not connected correctly. Check your cards (start with graphics card first), and then your processor, memory etc are all plugged in correctly.
If you have a modern graphics card plugged in, check if it needs power plugged onto it, some won't power up unless the fans are powered (e.g. my voodoo 5 won't).

Why does Home Sharing require an active internet connection?

I have noticed when my internet goes down I have real difficulty streaming content to my Apple TV from my iMac. I can see it but I get stuck on the spinning clock. Some audio works OK but video not. This makes no sense. I shouldn't need any internet to access content on a local device.
It seems to be by design, per Troubleshooting Home Sharing (n.4) "Home Sharing requires a home network with an active Internet connection."
But why can I play music but not TV shows? And why is there not an error message instead of spin? In any case why require it at all? I reset the home wireless, and the modem. My ISP confirmed there was cable trouble at that time. When the internet went back up, home sharing worked.

IBook G4 won't boot past white screen gray apple.

I'm having problems with my iBook G4 booting up. It won't get past the white screen with gray Apple and clock thing turning. I successfully hooked the iBook to my G4 tower via firewire and can get files off of it as well as run a series of TechTool Pro tests and repair procedures. However, I still have the same startup problem. It never gets past the white screen with gray apple. It's stuck there with the clock continually turning. Is there anything else I could try before getting everything off and wiping the drive clean and starting over? I don't know if it's a hardware or software issue at this point. Thanks for any help you could suggest.

You should at the very least backup your Home folder from it before attempting this, but it appears to be time for a relatively painless Archive & Install, which gives you a new/old OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space and no Disk corruption, and is relatively quick & painless...

Unable to Save Responses As PDF

We have several users that have access to view responses to our Adobe formcentral forms, lately we are having issues with saving the responses as a PDF. We are accessing formcentral via IE (we have tried alternative browsers and doesn't seem to matter), and it happens to different users at different times during the day.
When we are in the respective account and try to download the response as a PDF (doesn't matter whether we use the arrow to the right of the row, or the save as PDF feature at the top) sometimes the sytem gets stuck on the spinning clock. Is this a formcentral server tie up or is it on our end? Anyone else experience this? Do we need to clean out old responses?
It seems to work sporadically, we are now stuck with using the "view details" feature to see our form responses and print them out that way but we would like to be able to use the download as PDF feature like we used to do. This issue has been going on for about a month on and off and seems to be worse now. We have tried to contact someone through the Formcentral support (No.: 0185350898) and they gave us a "FIXITWIN" file that did not resolve the proplem. We have one user that tried to download the desktop formcentral client to see if it would work through that method instead of through the browser and that did not make any difference. We have had our IT support check this issue out at one station and he's unable to determine what could be the problem and seems to think it's on formcentral's end.
Please help.

Yes I've tried to download them via the method you indicated and also by using the save as PDF feature button, once we get stuck with the spinning clock, we have to completely close out of formcentral and log back in to attempt the whole proces again. Unfortunately it is not linked to a specific form, we have several forms, all which were once working properly and now are encountering this issue. Again, this incident is not tied to any particular form, it sometimes works and sometimes it gets stuck, and I can't seem to pinpoint any pattern to a specific time of day (we thought maybe it was a many users accessing the forms at the same time).
This morning I attempted to download responses from several forms and was successful, however, when I had another user try they were unsuccessful. I just attempted it on one of my forms and no luck. Is there a capacity limit? We have some forms with over 300 responses.

Using NI PXIe 6544

Hi,
Im wondering how can I use NI PXIe 6544 to test chip like stated here (http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/8715). Im pretty new with labview, and I need to program the card using labview. Anyone have idea?
Btw, the digitizer card is NI PXI 5105. Any helps are really appreciated.

thanks for your reply and the link of developer zone. I'm not using any NI power supply, so I'll take a look at the example without NI power supply.
For the time being, I think I'm going to test ADC chip using NI card. Since I'm starting from scratch with labview, I'm pretty sure I'll need loads of examples from NI Labview.
My mentor asked me to make some programs at first:
1. High speed clock to test the chip (40Mhz).
2. Decimation filter to lower the sample rates.
3. Data Acquisition
4. Ramp Signal and FFT.
I've been searching for those examples in labview examples and this forum, and I've been getting this simple programs to run (in attachment). Now I need to put all together and using the NI cards that I have to test ADC (later).
The problem is, I dont have idea how to put all together to test a ADC chip. The idea is:
1. making ramp signal and put it to ADC (means here to test the ADC?)
2. getting bitstream from the ADC and filtering it with decimation filter
Now I'm stuck with generating 40MHz clock using 6544. I've seen the example, Dynamic Generation and Acquisition Demo.vi, but I dont know what to do next. Can I test the clock from 6544 using oscilloscope?
The isntrument that I have here: PXIe 1082 chassis, 6544 HSDIO, 6674T timing module, 6733 analog out, 5105 digitizer.
Any help would be very appreciated,

Can't re-flash my 8100

Hi,
I have a problem with my 8100. One day all of the sudden the phone stopped loading the software and got stuck in the sand clock then rebooted and again showed the sand clock, this continued constantly. I researched and found a page that showed how you can wipe the blackberry and install again the software. I followed the steps, I was able to install two different versions of the software and the problem remained. I am now not able to load the blackberry. Is there any other way to solve this issue?

I rarely have problems on it - I do occasionally have drops in video quality, but nothing consistent. It does require a very strong and stable network connection, and I also wonder if they have periodic "crush time" incidents on their end, considering the rapid growth of Netflix streaming.
Updating the queue is a pain on it - you can't do it on the app, and have to go to their website. I generally find it easier to do on a computer.

ICal, Mail and Finder times all stuck since upgrade! System clock O.K.

Very strange problem:
All of my calendar event times (in iCal), email message receipt times (in Mail), and file modification/creation times (in Finder) are listed as some time between 7:00-7:59 AM or PM, regardless of time of day! My system clock (as it appears in the menu bar) is fine!
More details:
iCal: the events still look like they're at the right times, i.e. the blocks are in the right places, with the correct spacing, etc etc, they are just labeled with times between 7:00-7:59 AM/PM. Similarly, alarms go off at the correct time. Also, in the day or week listing, the column on the left which is supposed to show times instead just says "Sat" for all times, except "Noon" (at noon).
This is continuous since upgrading to snow leopard a couple weeks ago. Seemingly no other problems besides this.
I don't know much about the OS, but I don't understand how the system clock (in the menu bar) could be fine, but every other sign of time-keeping is completely off. I just its just something about the labeling of times, instead of the actual record of them?!
I have screen shots of the problems if that might help clarify (apparently I can't attach them however).

Just found my Mom has the same 'time stuck' problem (iMac OS X 10.6.7) Finder 'Date Modified' is stuck at 2/14/2011. Also, the Time/Date displays correctly on the Menu bar but when click on it, the drop down menu shows a gray out 2/14/2011, etc.

In order to backup to iCloud the iPad must be plugged into a power source, connected to WiFi and locked - meaning that it must be asleep - or with the lock screen only visible. This is for automatic backups.
If the iPad is not responding at all to any user input, try restarting it or resetting it and see if you can take the steps necessary to back up. You can initiate the backup manually as well.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Open a Finder window.
Select your user account on the left in the Sidebar. It has a small house icon.
Now open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.systemuiserver.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
Restart your Mac.

my clock works, but in apps, the minute is stuck on :08 despite the hour and seconds being correct. Like in Skype and calendar, when i put in the time, in the small window it will say "setting for 10:08" even though it's 10:30, and it'll show correctly on the visual.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Clock in iPod gets stuck

Ok heres a new one. I got the 60Gb iPod and i've noticed that the clock in the title bar gets stuck at one time and refuses to move until you go to the settings/date&time/Set Date & Time and accept that time, which is the correct one. So as I type this i've restored the iPod and reinstalling my songs/videos. I was just wondering if anyone had any clues as to why this is happening or if they've had this happen to them as well.
