Stuck at phase XPRAS_UPG step 6 Downtime on EhpInstaller

Dear experts,
We're now at step 6 downtime on phase XPRAS_UPG. But nothing activity for a hour. we check at SLOG701, it finished but still retry to run RDDIMPDP job again. we try to login to SAP but we can't. Please help how we can stop this RDDIMPDP, because we see it finished actualy, but stil starting again. Or any clues?
Thanks
Erwin Wijaya

Hi,
By any chance did anyone get any solution. I am also stuck at the same phase where in I get the warning message in SLOG "Starting RDDIMPDP", though it has finished.
Just wondering if I stop DSUGui and then restart, upgrade will stop with error and then it will start from same phase where in if the phase is unable to update any logs, it will be cleared.
Thanks
Shailendra

  • ECC6 upgrade phase XPRAS_UPG running for long time

    Hi,
    I am performing a Downtime minimized upgrade (MODPROF_TRANS) from R34.7ext2 to ECC6.0 / Windows2003/MSSQL2005
Currently i am in the phase XPRAS_UPG .It is running for really long time.I tried to reset the phase but still went on for more than 10 hrs. I initialized the phase now its running for more than 7 hours. There are no processes when i check in SM50 and no log files updated. There is no log file called XPRAS_UPG.ELG.SM37 no jobs running.
Though if it takes long time , How do i confirm that my upgrade phase is running ??????????as its not updating anything
In PARDIST_SHD phase when there was en error , i have manuall deleted the DB trigger acording to the note 956198. And the phase went on.
Now after reading few messages reg this error , i checked DB02 but no locks on any table . Have cheked note 558197,1292069,1142410,1138351,1062559,597885,551298. But nothings applicable in my case.
    Please suggest ...
    will really appreciate your help.
    Chandra

    Dear Chandra,
Regarding long runtime for XPRAS phase kindly note the following:
    1. The reason of slow performance of XPRAS phase can vary differently.
Basically during XPRAS phase, there're a lot of reports to run. These
reports are inlcuded in the transport requests(both upgrade
requests and support packages). If there's a performance problem,
it very likely the database performance problem, such as wrong
access plan was chosen, or missing index, etc.
    2. To find out the performance problems in the XPRAS, you can always
logon into the system. During the XPRAS phase, the system has to be up and running.
In SM50, usually you can find which report is running, and/or which table is being accessed.
If you find some table accesses take unusually long time, please
record the table name and find the SQL statement. Sometimes a simple
index can solve the problem, sometimes you need help from Oracle
    to get the solution.
    3. If you want to shorten the downtime, you can select less support
packages since all SPs have a lot of reports to run in XPRAS. But
remember you need to import them soon or later. But if you prefer
    import them later it's fine.
Currently if you check in SM37 then you can see RDDEXECL job in active status.
Check for the job log, if there are any errors reported?
Thereafter check the SM50 and see if its taking unusually long time for some particular table.
If so then it might be because you might have not updated the statistics for that particular table.
Also check what was the parameter value of Number of batch processes defined by you
for upgrade. If you have defined very less number of batch processes for upgrade then also
    it will take more time.
Check accordingly and let me know for further help.
    Regards,
    Abhishek

  • Upgrade 4.6C - ECC 5.0 stuck in phase parmvnt_shd

Performing an upgrade from SAP 4.6C to ECC 5.0 the upgrade stucks in phase PARMVNT_SHD with the same symptom as described in sapnet note 198879, however this upgrade runs on an iseries, with os level V5R3. Here is the exact message I get in the tp log :
    3 ETP379Xactivating Nametab "/SAPDMC/LSCPROGS":
2 ETP399   >> Name of inactive nametab to read  : DDXTT?
2 ETP399   >> Format of inactive nametab to read: 5.0
3 ETP399 ntab export with reset DBTABPOS
    2 ETP399  -
    DB-ROLLBACK() -
2AETP344 sqlerror "-901" occured at location "LOC095"    (object "DDXTT?")
    3 ETP379Xactivating Nametab "/SAPDMC/LSCRULE":
3 ETP399 ntab export with reset DBTABPOS
    2 ETP399  -
    DB-ROLLBACK() -
and so on, for all objects. TP keeps on repeating these steps, so the logfile keeps growing and the upgrade stays on the same point.
    Please advise,
    Kind regards,
    Robert Visser

    Hi Robert,
as you see SQL0901, the problem will ly in the DB2/400. You should have a look at the joblog of this process and find out the messages before the generic message SQL0901. This should put light into the shadow ...
    See you,

  • EHP4 - sapephi get stuck in phase BIND_BATCH

When I upgrade from ERP6.0 to EHP4 with sapephi I got stuck in phase
    BIND_BATCH
    The error is:
ERROR: Unable to generate addon queue due to missing addons or support
    packages.
    Missing Support Package(s):
    (C-CEE)
    (HR-CEE)
You need to add the missing Support Packages or to repeat the current
    step
and change the Add-On selection in phase IS_SELECT.
But this two component are already in our system.
    Current level for C-CEE is 110_600 / 0021
    HR-CEE is 110_600 / 0048
I would like to update without this two component.
In phase IS_SELECT I choose this two component on the current level.
    I was insert vendor key.
    What could be wrong?
    Thank you,
    Mirko

Sorry for the delay .... I work on other project ...
In the IS_SELECT phase, were you asked for the Vendor key even when you selected "Keep Version"?
Even  when I select "Keep Version", I was asked for the Vendor Key.
Also make sure that the Package mentioned in your XML is the same as the one extracted to your EPS/in folder. Sometimes the XML lists packages which are not available in the eps inbox. This happens when you don't use the solman to create the xml, or if the system product details are not correctly maintained in the Sol man.
Our SOLMAN works and the packages are the same in SOLMAN as they are in the system.
I create xml via SOLMAN .... and I don't have in xml file the C-CEE packages ...
Maybe I should create new download for EHP4?
    Thank you,
    Mirko

  • Windows 8 installation gets stuck during create partition step in bootcamp. Any suggestions?

windows 8 installation gets stuck during create partition step in bootcamp. I tried to restart the bootcamp with same results. I have given it more than 6 hrs for last 3 times but I was able to go past this step previously where I got stuck during registering windows8.

    Hi,
According to your description, it seems that your all Windows 8.1 computers connect to network via normal wireless network.
Did you have wireless router for them?
Please delete this adhoc, then check if these computer could connect to network.
If no, follow below guide to create and connect to adhoc :

  • My iPad gets stucked in the last step of the sync with the computer.

When connecting the iPad to the computer the iTunes starts, reconizes my iPad and starts the sync of the iPad.
It syncs the contacts, calendars, pictures, music, etc, but in the last step (7th; "finishing Sync") it stucks and stays for ever without finishing.
I cannot load a previous backup because as soon as I connect the iPad to the computer the Sync process starts and no button is available.
I've tried to load again iTunes to start from the begining but it is still saying the same, that the Sync process is finishing and is blocked there.
    Any help?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Demo,
I've tried what you say but, if I'm doing it right, it doesn't work because after rebooting it goes again to syncing and stucks on the last step.
Nevertheless let me check if I'm doing it right; When you say "Before you restore from the backup, quit iTunes, ...." you mean "Before" or "After" because I don't understand how I could reboot the iPad BEFORE I restore from the Backup if it is already restoring.
Just let me write down the procedure to check that it is the right one:
1- I launch iTunes (iPad not connected) and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices, and I check the box to Prevent the iPad to syncing automatically. I click OK.
    2- I quit itunes.
3- I connect the iPad to the computer.
    4- I launch iTunes.
5- I go to Restore from Backup
6- Restore from Backup is finished
    7- I quit iTunes
8- I disconnect the iPad from the PC
    9- I reboot my PC
10- I reboot my iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons... iPad stars.
11- I connect the iPad to my PC.
    12- I launch iTunes
13- I click on sync button.
If the procedure is right then my problem must be another one because when I do it and it starts syncing again the same problems comes back again and the syncing never stops at the last step.
Thank you anyway for your time and support.
    Best regards,
    Francisco

Measuring a 1% discharge is likely not very helpful.
Why not see how long your battery lasts on a full charge?

I have no idea, what's going on. Tool setup seems to fine, since I can simulate dummy testing design.
Please advise how to troubleshoot this.
    Thanks,

Thanks a lot for looking into my issue.
I am quite certain, my design source confused tool somehow; My project is messy uncompleted code base with a lot of critical warnings. But it implemented with some timing failure.
I was expecting just to get behavior simulation. I also reduced testbench to just one process of $display and clock generation.
I've tried 2015.1 same stuck. I was expecting to be able to pull a bit more info or trouble shooting log. Any verbose log?
But on the other side, simulation kicks off quickly in ModelSim.
Will keep investigating and share my finding here.
