Stuck in connect to iTunes after update.

After the update my iPhone 4 has been stuck with the screen no matter what I try I have even tried the editing the host files thing I found on the web earlier. Can someone please help me.

Found the issues apparently Apple servers weren't writing off the update don't ask me why but after editing some stuff I found off another website I finally got through to iOS 4.2.1!

  • IPhone stuck at Connect to iTunes after update

I just did an update to my iPhone 4 to 5.1, but the installation failed and now it's stuck on the "Connect to iTunes" screen! I tried to do a restore, that failed too.
    Help? :'(

At what point does the restore fail?
Also, is there a number next to the error?
If so, check out this article:

  • IPad asking me to connect to iTunes after updating to iOS 8.1.1

iPad asking me to connect to iTunes after updating to iOS 8.1.1
I have iPad which was updated to iOS 8.1.1 recently and after boot up of the iPad; it is asking me to connect to iTunes.
Please let me know what might be the issue. Why is it asking me to connect to iTunes? How will I be able to restore the iPad to a working condition.
    Thanks in advance.

It means that the iPad has gone into recovery mode (all software has bugs, operating system updates don't always go smoothly). You will need to connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes by its cable, and that should recognise the iPad and let you reset it back to factory defaults - you can then restore to you backup, or just resent your content to it.

  • Iphone 5 stuck on connect to itunes after iOS 6.1 update

I connected my iphone to itunes to download a few songs and the iOS 6.1 update.  I come back to the phone 15min later and itunes says the download was incomplete it is stuck on the connect to itunes screen.I try to restore the phone, but the device is not recognized in itunes.  I tried to turn off the phone but it keeps on turning back to the connect to itunes screen.  Whenever I dissconnect the usb cable to my windows laptop, i hear this notification sound, but there is no pop up thing.  The iphone is also not recognized on the my computor tab.  This is extreemly frustrating, and I would like to avoid going to the apple store.
    Thanks

  • Ye olde stuck in 'connect to itunes' after attempting to restore to factory

    Hi everyone.
(I'm sure you've all seen this problem a gazillion times, and in-before-anyone-says "use the search feature", I have done, extensively all day, and have gotten nowhere despite applying the advice)
I've been gifted an iPhone 4, which was locked to EE. Online guide from Vodafone claimed that choosing to 'restore' your iphone via iTunes would restore to factory and remove the lock. Unfortunately what seems to have happened is, iTunes has attempted to update me to latest iOS, and in the process something has gone horribly wrong, now I'm stuck on the 'connect to itunes' logo. Connecting to my computer results in iTunes error message saying: "Your iPhone can't be updated; you must restore it to factory settings. If you previously backed up the iPhone, click Restore Backup after the restore process completes."
After completing the loading bar for 'Extracting software' I keep getting an error code 3014 which I've been able to ascertain is usually a connectivity issue. So far I have:
Put phone into DFU mode as it crashed on the Apple logo (with a grey line beneath), which is what imo created this loop
Setup port forwarding for all ports necessary for iTunes / iCloud
Attempted to use 3rd-party program to Exit Recovery mode, worked but then went straight back into recovery mode.
Disabled my firewall (Comodo) during attempt, still results in error code 3014
Created a new user profile with admin priviliges, error code 3014
Attempted to install an older firmware in case it's trying to update me to iOS8 or above, error code 3014
Reset my hosts file, zero entries yet again, error code 3014
I'm now at a complete loss as to what to try next... something tells me 'throwing at wall' or 'jumping up and down on' will not be viable solutions to the issue! Would greatly appreciate some help from the community.
Oh also worth mentioning, I don't have another PC or access to one at the mo to see if it's my PC's settings that are causing the issue.

Check this support document, if you haven't, for some additional troubleshooting steps. http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201442
If that will not do it, you can take a look at this and see if Recovery mode helps. If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
The last resort would be to make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple Store or Authorized Apple Service Provider for assistance in restoring.

  • I cannot connect to ITunes after updating to IOS 7.0.2,cannot update my apps nor download new apps. When I tap the quick test for IOS diagnostics it says it cannot verify the ticket number.

After updating to IOS 7.0.2 in my Ipad mini I cannot update my apps nor download new apps . It says "cannot connect to ITunes. " it's been almost 3 wks now. I have tried resetting it  and trying other options like changing the DNS to just 8.8.8 etc but to no avail. I try to run the IOS diagnostics but it couldn't verify my ticket number. Everytime I open my mail it cannot identify server identity " Apple.imap.yahoo.com." But I just clicked "continue" anyway so I could get my mail.

    (A) Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.
    (B) Reset all settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings will be reset.

  • My iphone4 is stuck on 'connect to itunes' after i have done a full back up and restore. Why won't it back up onto my iphone? I can see all the data on my computer but it wont sync to my iphone. Please help!

    Hello. Please can anyone help?
After having issues with my iphone4, I was told to restore it as it was probably a software issue.
So today I have made sure to back up to icloud, and onto my computer / itunes. After restoring my phone, you go through the steps on the iphone, to resore the back up from itunes there shows a symbol of the itunes and a wire to connect. I have connected to itunes and it will not sync. All the information is there on my computer, it goes through all the steps to sync, 1-6 then goes back to itunes. But none of the data is on my iphone, my iphone is still on the 'connect to itunes' symbol!
Am i doing something wrong? How can I get all my data back onto my iphone?
    Thank you.

Try on another computer with another USB cable.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • IPod touch won't connect to iTunes after update

I updated my iPod touch but now it won't connect to iTunes, all I get is the connect to iTunes screen. I followed all the directions for the Apple support including shuting down my iPod, uninstalling all Apple programs from my computer, restarting my computer and reinstalling iTunes, as well as "using Msconfig to troubleshoot conflicts in Windows 7," but nothing has worked. Is there anything else I can do?

This is a step they should make MUCH easier to find for Ipod users. Here's the link: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538?viewlocale=en_US
I don't know how directive the link is, but the short and easy of it is this:
    1. Go to your device manager
    2. Click 'View' and select Devices By Connection
    3. Make sure ACPI x64 (or 32) - based PC is expanded (Windows 7 users)
    4. Scroll down until you see 'USB Composite Device'
       - you should see Apple Mobile Device (recovery mode) in there or something similar
    5. Right click the composite device and choose Update Driver Software
    6. DO NOT automatically install software; choose 'browse my computer' instead
    7. Choose to pick from a list of devices on your pc
    8. Click "Have Disk" and browse your computer to this address:
         C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
    9. Double click the usbaapl.inf file (it may have 64 next to it)
    10. Click OK and continue the install process, including the 'Restore step when iTunes opens...AND THAT'S IT!!
Your iTunes will take all the appropriate steps (5-10 minutes) to restore your iPod. If I missed anything let me know. Otherwise, pass this on to your friends as Apple has made it inherently difficult to hunt down. Good luck!!
