I am stuck in guided access and I don't remember my password.  How do I get out of it without losing all of my picture and apps and such?

Connect the iPod to its syncing computer and restore via iTunes.  If the iPod asks for the passcode and you can't enter the passcode or if you do not have the syncing computer, place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore.  For recovery mode:

  • STUCK IN GUIDED ACCESS ON IPAD. TRIPLE-CLICKING AND FORCER REBOOTS DON'T WORK, THE IPAD JUST UNLOCKS ITSELF AND GOES BACK TO THE APP I WAS IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stuck in Guided Access on iPad. iOS 7!
    - Triple-clicking won't work, the Accessibility Options pop-up and I tap Guided Access, it unticks, but no passcode input screen comes up, and the iPad stays in guided access.
    - Forced reboots don't work, the iPad just unlocks it self (no lock code) and goes back to the app that I am stuck in, which is Google Chrome.
    - Lost Mode is not an option, location services are off.
    - When I plug it into my computer, iTunes says that it is locked with a passcode, so I can't back it up.
There seems like no possible way to get out.
    Help!?

If you are prepare to wipe your iPad.
    FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
    1. Hold Sleep/Wake button down and slide to turn off iPad
    2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
    3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
    4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug.
    5. Release Home button.
    ON COMPUTER
    6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.
    7. Select "Restore iPad"...

  • Ios 8.2 stuck on guided access

    HELLPPPPP
My iphone 6 ios 8.2 is stuck on guided access.
I couldn't exit during Youtube as the passcode screen kept glitching only showing half of the keypad, so I thought id wait for the time to expire (60 mins)
The time has now expired but I now cant access anything as it saying "Time Expired please triple click......" but i cant do anything.
Ive tried holding Sleep and the home button but it does nothing as the sleep is disabled.

Pressing the Home button quickly three times will turn it off again.
    Accessibility Shortcut
Use the Accessibility Shortcut. Press the Home button quickly three times to turn any of these features on or off:
    VoiceOver
    Invert Colors
    Grayscale
    Zoom
    Switch Control
    AssistiveTouch
Guided Access (The shortcut starts Guided Access if it’s already turned on. See Guided Access on page 156.)

  • Ipod stuck on "guided access"

5th generation Ipod touch ios 7.
I do not know how it happened but it suddenly is stuck on "guided access" and it says to circle apps I want disabled. I don't want any apps disabled but I tried what it says and it don't work. It wont turn off, nothing works

Two moons maybe this will help, comes straight out of the manual. If you don't know the passcode try resetting, Press and hold the power and home buttons together, until the Apple logo appears, usually takes about 10 seconds+/-. Then release both buttons. If home page comes up then try Settings>General>Accessibility>Guided Access. Good luck.  Cheers.
    Guided Access
Guided Access helps an iPod touch user stay focused on a task. Guided Access dedicates iPod touch to a single app, and lets you control app features. Use Guided Access to:
Temporarily restrict iPod touch to a particular app
Disable areas of the screen that aren’t relevant to a task, or areas where an accidental gesture might cause a distraction
Disable the iPod touch hardware buttons Turn on Guided Access. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Guided Access, where you can:
Turn Guided Access on or off
Set a passcode that controls the use of Guided Access and prevents someone from leaving a session
Set whether other accessibility shortcuts are available during a session
Start a Guided Access session. Open the app you want to run, then triple-click the Home button. Adjust settings for the session, then click Start.
Disable app controls and areas of the app screen: Circle any part of the screen you want to disable. Use the handles to adjust the area.
Enable the Sleep/Wake or Volume buttons: Tap Options and turn on the buttons.
Ignore all screen touches: Turn off Touch.
Keep iPod touch from switching from portrait to landscape or from responding to any other motions: Turn off Motion. End a Guided Access session. Triple-click the Home button, enter the Guided Access passcode, and tap End.

  • Stuck in guided access (Not setup with find my iphone)

I am stuck in Guided access. I have an apple iPad 2, and resetting the iPad does not fix it. Also, "Find my iPhone" is not enabled. I can no longer triple-click the home button to enter a pass-code (The passcode that I do not know). I am so mad!! Please!? Does anyone know how to fix it?

    Hello KendraEM,
I can see how that can be frustrating. I would try to do a reset on your iPad by holding the Sleep/wake button and Home button until you see the Apple logo. Let me know if this helps or if you need further assistance.

  • HT5509 I am stuck in guided access on ios7!! HELP PLEASE!!

I am stuck in guided access on ios7, reboot and lost mode are not getting me out. HELP!

On iPhone 4s hold the circle button and the one on the top of the phone(as if you were taking a screenshot) down for 10-20 sec until the phone shuts off and then proceed to turn it back on. When the phone powers back on you'll still have to put in your code for the lock screen if that's enabled, but after that guided access will be turned off. Took me 45 minutes of pure frustration to figure this crap out being that I didn't even know I ha a GA password or that it would be any different than my lockscreen code. F*ckin rediculous I tell you!!!!!!
    But it does work, yw.
OH!!! and when you hold the buttons down it will still give you the messege saying you have to triple-click and enter your code, ignore this and slam those buttons down anyway. They are a decoy. And furthermore, F*CK YOU APPLE. That is all.

  • My iPad is stuck in guided access and triple clicking the home button is not working.... Suggestions?

  • Phone is stuck on guided access

Help used the new guided access feature and now wont let me unlock

Same here.  My daughter was playing in guided access and a notification interrupted her application.  After closing it, triple clicking the home button did nothing.  It just shows the "Guided Access Mode Enabled - Triple Click Home Button to Exit."  No easy fix, but you can plug it into iTunes and do a "Restore."  Make sure you do a backup before so you can just restore the whole thing exactly as it was before it got stuck.
Apple really needs to have an override for this in case it gets stuck; like plug it into iTunes and enter your AppleID. Until then, no more Guided Access for me...

  • IPad stuck in Guided Access, forgot password

I lost the password for Guided Access. It's stuck online. How will I stop it eating my 50GB Internet connection?!

Force the iPad to restart by holding down the power button and home button until the screen goes blank. The iPad should restart and will take you to the lock screen. From there, you need to go right into the Settings app and turn off Guided Access.

  • IPad stuck on guided access?

I turned on guided access on my iPad, but when I triple click the home button to exit, it nothing shows up but a message saying 'Guided access is enabled. Triple click the home button to exit". How can I fix this? It won't turn off or anything.

You're right sberman, that is how it is SUPPOSED to work but the problem is, Guided Access doesn't always work like it should.  I use this for my 11 month old, and in the FIsher Price apps (and some others) once you enable guided access and try triple clicking the home button to end Guided Access, the screen just says "guided access is enabled" – (no kidding!)
Short of whipping the iPad across the room when the iPad is making tinkerbell noises with every gesture from a kid's app and you need to get back to work, you can force reboot the iPad by holding down the home & sleep/wake buttons at the same time for 15 seconds.  When the screen goes dark, press the sleep/wake button and the the iPad will reboot and you can use it again.
Hopefully Apple solves this bug.  It's potentially a great feature, but this bug really kills it.

  • HT5699 iPhone stuck in guided access

My niece accidentally started the guided access mode, and i don't know the passcode
    Please help!!

Didn't work for me. The first thing it brings up is "Starting Guided Access" on the reboot and I can't do anything. Maybe I am doing it wrong or am just too slow to try and close the Safari window (Safari was the locked in app). Apple support said restore as "New phone", disable setting, and then restore from a back up. Sounded wrong but I tried it. As soon as I restore from back up it is back at the "Starting Guided Access" again. Had no choice but to restore to factory settings and rebuild phone from scratch. Kiddo lost a few photos but had all the contacts backed up to iPad and music in iTunes so it wasn't too painful.
