Stuck in recovery, unable to conect to itunes after ios 8,1 update
I have a 5th gen ipod touch, i decided to try and update it to ios 8.1 but it got stuck in recovery mode (the itunes usb icon)
after trying to reconect it to my itunes the laptop knows its plugged in but itunes wont conect to the device so i cant start up the recovery
i have tried the DFU function and again nothing happens
further more i try the restore on a different machine which goes fine till i attempt to update and restore where i get error 3014
ive about had it now cause i dont know what to do.
I had the same problem, except that my messages weren't going through at all (the red-colored "not delivered" exclamation message showed). I resolved it by turning on your cellular data. It does not matter if you have Wi-Fi on/off. This should work assuming you also have MMS and Group Messaging on under the Messages setting. Hopefully this works for you.

Iphone 5 stuck on connect to itunes after iOS 6.1 update
I connected my iphone to itunes to download a few songs and the iOS 6.1 update. I come back to the phone 15min later and itunes says the download was incomplete it is stuck on the connect to itunes screen.I try to restore the phone, but the device is not recognized in itunes. I tried to turn off the phone but it keeps on turning back to the connect to itunes screen. Whenever I dissconnect the usb cable to my windows laptop, i hear this notification sound, but there is no pop up thing. The iphone is also not recognized on the my computor tab. This is extreemly frustrating, and I would like to avoid going to the apple store.
Thankshttp://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 you may need to do this a few times.

IPhone is not syncing with iTunes after iOS 7.1 update
I have an iPhone 4S and an iPad 2, and neither of them will sync my new music from iTunes after updating both of them to iOS 7.1. When I press sync on my computer, the steps start at the top of iTunes, but then it just finishes before it actually starts writing the names of individual songs like it would normally do when syncing. It is as there is no music to be synced but there is. Please help!!
You've tried the following procedure?
Turn your device off and connect your cable to the computer, but not the device just yet. Start up iTunes. Now, hold down the home button on your device and plug it in to the cable - don't let go of the button until iTunes tells you it's detected a device in recovery mode. Now you can restore to factory settings.
If this still doesn't work, you should make an appointment at the Genius Bar to have your device evaluated. -
Unable to connect to iTunes after iOS 6.0.1 update on iPad 3
After I updated the other day I can no longer get new apps or update my current apps. I keep getting a message saying I cannot connect to iTunes. I have tried some solutions that I found (moving the date to 2013 & updating my banking info on iTunes) but nothing works. I am connected to the Internet (I posted this on my iPad). Any solutions out there or do I need to call apple?
You can try these suggestions and see if any work for you. The first one is definitely an iOS 6 only suggestion.
Settings>Privacy>Location Services>System Services (swipe to the bottom of the page to find this)>Location Based iAds>Off.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try again.
Even though you are connected to the Internet, it might help if you reboot your router anyway. Unplug it for about 30 seconds and thenlug it in again. -
My iphone wont connect to itunes after ios 7.0 update. Help!
I can not set up any of my apps after the new update. It keeps telling me to connect to itunes to enable push notifications. The message keeps popping up so I can not even use the app without having the push notifications enabled. I also am unable to activate my imessages. How can I fix this problem? Its rather annoying.
Ok this is how I fixed this. Apparently iTunes uses Safari.
Go to Settings -> Safari -> and Clear Cookies and Data and also Clear History - scroll down to see those settings.
Set Block Cookies to either "from third parties and advertisers" or "Never" (you choose which one)
In Advanced (scroll down its the last setting) make sure JavaScript in ON
Here is the last step I had to make to fix it - which may not apply to you. Some time ago I changed my primary email for apple. I noticed it was asking me to enter the password for the secondary email.
I went into iTunes and App Store, tapped my Apple Id and then Sign Out. I then resigned in using my primary Apple email and password.
Just to make sure, I turned the phone off and on, but honestly this may be optional.
I am now working again.
I hope this helps you. -
Unable to sync iPhone 6 after iOS 8.1 update
I recently updated my MaBook Air to OS X Yosemite and replaced my iPhone 4 with an iPhone 6. I backed up the old 4 and restored it onto the iPhone 6 no problem. Everything was working fine, no issues. A day or so later, iTunes prompted me to update to iOS 8.1 (from 8.02 which was on the phone when I bought it last week). After updating (again no issues), I find that the Health App no longer works (all previous data entries had gone, and when I come to add new data, it just freezes). Also, when I come to sync the phone with iTunes, I get to 6 of 7 steps and then it fails with error code 1723 unknown error. Becoming very annoying now, this has happened several times in the last few days...... grateful for any suggestions before I completely wipe the phone and have to start from scratch again....
Thanks,
IanI have the same problem... My device is overheating and my batteries dies after half of day!
Before everything was ok!
Apple we are waiting for a fix..or give us back ios 8.02!!!!!
I'm using and Iphone 6 as well! -

skCan you try to connect to another computer?
DFU mode would be the last thing to try before contacting Apple Support or visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider or Apple Store.

I tried to update my Apple TV today through iTunes using a microUSB. It gave me an error, I tried again and now it is stuck in recovery mode. If I plug it into the TV, it just shows that I have to connect it to iTunes (just the picture). I unplug everything, plug the microUSB and USB, plug the power, open iTunes, it shows, asks me to restore, I click Restore. It starts extracting the file, finishes, then gets stuck in "Preparing Apple TV for restore..." for what seems forever, when it finally times out, I get an error number 2003. I have tried different USB ports, no other USB device is connecte, I have tried restarting the PC (running windows 7, up to date, iTunes up to date as well), I have tried redownloading the IPSW and even using the shift+restore and manually selecting the .IPSW file, and to be honest, I give up! If anyone can help, I'd truly appreciate it. Thanks!
PS: I also tried pressing menu+down for 6 seconds to restart, I tried pressing menu+play to restart, I tried pressing menu+down 6 secs and then menu+play 6 seconds for the so called DFU mode, nothing works, the Apple TV just restarts back to the "connect to itunes picture" along with the fast continuous white light flashing.typed in appletv error 2003 in google
