The device manager does detect my player as "Other Devices", then "USB 2.0 Device" with big yellow question marks next to them. Is this a positi've sign?

Delete this device as well as everything listed under Uni'versal Serial Bus Controllers. Restart your computer and let it rescan all those devices, once finished reconnect the player.

this is under the apple id security section...it would not let me select not now so i have to use this set up security...i set up my questions and now i am at the end and its asking for the email....

Yo its stuck in rescue mode could you please help me. When I click on something such as "Format All" It says their is a "Hard Disk Problem." I can't do anything.

<FONT face="Comic Sans MS" color=#0033ff>your hard disk probably needs to be replaced - the same thing happened to me and when i called customer support they gave me an rma number (return merchandise authorization number) to return the player to have it serviced. i tried everything - even had my husband open it up to check it out (he's an electrician) and he couldn't get it working. call the customer support number (i can't remember it right now), and even though it talks about calling only if you're still in the warranty period, you can still get help with returning the player for servicing. good luck

That makes no sense . Can you take a screenshot and show me? hold home button and power for about 2 sec then on computer import the photo (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4083) and upload it here. Have you restarted the iphone yet?

Shut down your device restart the activation proceed once you have a credible rescuse email.

Updated my iPhone to the new OS, and now I'm stuck in the setup mode on the "rescue email" page. It won't go on the next screen.
Backing out of the Apple ID Security doesn't work either!
Help!

Reset iPad and continue with update.
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

Zen Xtra froze..stuck in Rescue M

I was playing a song, and my mpe player started skipping and finally froze. So I tried to reboot it, but it wouldn't shut off. So I took the battery out and it rebooted. But now, I can't get passed the Rescue Mode screen (v.3). I tried "Clean Up", but it doesn't do anything. I am unable to upgrade firmware. So what can I do?
its a Zen Xtra 30GB. I've only had it a few months, and use it once every few days. I only have a few GB's of music on it. and this is the first time I've ever had a problem with it.

You can try the advice here in the Zen FAQ at Nomadness.net at your OWN RISK. If you don't want to try this or are under warranty then contact Creative Support.
If you aren't under warranty you can contact Creative Support to see if they will repair it. If you want to try repairing it yourself, taking the risk the hard disk is at fault, then you can follow Rudi Cheow's excellent guide. There's also a thread here at the Zen Nomadness.net forum on compatible dri'ves, and the last page of Rudi's guide also has information on this.

You can follow the advice here in the Zen FAQ at Nomadness.net, but you do so at your OWN RISK. Alternati'vely contact Creative Support to get the player repaired.

Stuck in rescue mo

i just dropped my MP3 player. had the leather case one, but lucky me it fell right on the corner. it then froze, and i couldnt turn it off. so i opened it up, and took out the battery. now when i boot it up it boots to a rescue mode v.3 screen and it wont do anything. i tried clean up, and nothing happens. i then tried reboot, and it just reboots to the same screen. how do i get back to my music library? i really dont want to have to reformat this thing. please someone help!

If it's booting in rescue mode this is a very bad sign, and means the hard disk has sustained some damage from the fall. Really it's up to you what you do at this stage. If you're under warranty it's between you and your conscience what you tell Creative. If not, or you don't want to return it, you can try other things like an out of warranty repair, or the advice here in the Zen FAQ at Nomadness.net.

No mattter what I do my mp3 returns to the rescue mode. When I go to format it says Harddisk Problem. I don't know how this happend or how to fix it could anyone tell me what I should?

I have a 5 month old Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra that recently developed the same problem. I went through all the postings on this site and followed the link to www.nomadness.net. This is an excellent site. Check it out.
After a number of days of research here's the bottom-line:
> You can try the "Clean Up" option in Rescue Mode. Don't give up - let it run for a few hours, and then try to reformat. Some people report results after trying this 0+ times. (Unfortunately, it did not work for me.)
> You can try the "whack it" method. A number of people have recommeded this. (Unfortunately, it did not work for me.)
> You can send it in to Creative Labs for a repair. Very mixed reviews on this.
> You can go to www.nomadness.net and follow the link to www.blurbdesigns.com/ZenUpgrade and see how to replace the hard dri've yourself. This is what I'm doing. I opened up my Xtra, got the model number of the hard dri've, went to the Fujitsu site and followed the links to places to buy it. I found an exact replacement 60GB hard dri've for just under $00.

Stuck in Rescue & Recovery

I have a T61 and it has been working fine. No issues. However, today, I rebooted and when I reboot now, instead of going to Windows, it goes to Lenovo Rescue and Recovery. There are no prompts and it appears to be booting normally but when the mouse appears on the screen instead of Vista, I get R&R.
Once this appears, it stays on the screen for several seconds, then appears to restart windows at which point I get a hard disk failure.
What gives? Is there some way to cancel R&R? I am a bit perplexed b/c the shut down was not "normal" but for some reason, I am in this endless loop.

Welcome to the forum!
It's unclear from your post whether you're installing Win 7 from RnR discs or MS retail version DVD, I'll assume the former here.
With the discs removed from CD/DVD drive, when the thinkpad enters rescue and recovery look for an option like 'Restore your system' or do 'Full Restore' and then click it. Basically what the discs have done so far is that they have copied the files on your thinkpad, what needs to be done next is it needs to be instructed to restore the system.
