Stuck in Reset mode Any way out?

Currently trying to reset my new airport extreme and now the LEDs are flashing. Tried both a soft and hard reset. Just bought the base station today. Thanks in advance.

First, could you make your seller check it.
Then, if it's OK,
you may be in a case were you're trapped in a bad channel
automatic choice you can't escape through an AirPort
connection.
To check this, could you turn off your AEBS.
From your Ethernet connection to Internet,
download iStumbler (http://www.istumbler.net/),
and check if you have other wireless networks in your
neighbourhood.
If you have neighbour's wireless networks, you will
have to reconfigure your AEBS by its Ethernet
LAN port with "AirPort Admin Utility" (use an Ethernet
cable from your Mac to your AEBS).
You have to change its channel to a free one:
one which is separated from your neighbour's
ones by three empty channels. For example, if your
neighbours use channels 1 and 11, you may choose whichever
channel you want between 5, 6 and 7.

C1140 Radio stuck in "reset mode" any fix?

This question was posed before a year ago, but not answered.
Some of my C1140's Radio-0, the BGN are going in to "reset mode". The code level is 12.4(21a)JA1. Is there any fix out for this. The are running in AP mode, not connected to the WLan controller. Rebooting the AP seems to fix the problem for several hours, then Radio0 is back down.

Extreme Stuck in Reset Mode

I have an Airport Extreme Base Station that appears to be stuck in reset mode...
It has the middle light blinking slowly and right/left LEDs stay off
Looking on Tech Articles, this means the base station is in reset mode
This Airport has been in "reset" mode for two days
Things I've tried...
soft and hard resets per Tech Articles
Also attempted to connect Base Station directly to my laptop (that has Airport Admin Utility installed)
While connected, used suggested ip addresses
192.42.249.14 as well as 192.42.249.15
255.255.255.0
192.42.249.13
also tried with DHCP
swapped ethernet cords in case this was an issue
The end result is that I can never see this base station in Airport Admin Utility or Airport Setup.
It appears to be stuck in reset mode.
Any suggestions appreciated

i have tried to restore via itunes as i would have usually, half way through i get an error code 3194 pop up.....and yes i do back up.

Barbara, Thanks very much taking the time to respond to my posting. Your input and directions were just what I needed.I accessed the print settings in the pull down menu, setup the print options including the color profile for Elements and the Printer to sRGB, and printed my picture. This resolved all the invalid color problems I was having, but I did notice that there was a hint of magenta overall in the picture. I had read an article that said to use Canon Color Matching instead of Color Sync to prevent that but I couldn't make that change in the pull down menu. I tried in the Presets dialog box but that didn't appear to be possible. Should I make that change as well?
Also, in my travels through Elements 13 I notice under Edit->Color Settings that there were options for No Color Mgmt, Optimize for Screen, for Printing, or ability to chose one or the other (real time I assume). How do those options fit into this scenario?

Do you mean Importing mode? Use the Force Quit command. It's under the Apple Menu.

Stuck in recovery mode no way to get out.

I tried to update my ipod 4G but after finishing download it went to recovery mode and when I connect it to itunes it it doesn't restore my ipod and show that error: software update server could not contracted. so I tried to get away the recovery mode but none of the ways work I try recboot and tinyumbrella and dfu mode but they didnt work.
Now I'm stuck in recovery mode I can neither restore nor get out recovery mode.
Please someone help me.

Update Server
Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- For one user uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes resolved the problem
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem

Solution to 5G iPod stuck in reset mode

I wanted to share what worked for me. After 11 months, when I went to synch my iPod, iTunes said it saw an iPod in reset mode and that it had to be reset before it could synch. I tried the 5R's many times, but to no avail. What worked was when I completely removed iTunes (via the installer) and then reinstalled it (before I had only repaired iTunes with the installer). After that, the synch restored everything to my ipod, and it's back to normal (knock on wood).
Hope this helps people out. Basically, do the 5R's but be sure to actually delete and reinstall iTunes by running the new installer twice.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My ipod is showing an "activation required" message on my home screen and the slider to unlock it is not working. I've had it for 2 years and had no problems and then it randomly locked up on me and won't let me do a reset. Any way to fix this?

next thing i would think of is to ask bestbuy apple retailer or bestbuy pple to help u out from here bc im not sure what to do next if u cant get it into dfu mode.
all i can think of is to hold home and power for 30 seconds in the meantime of showing the apple sign at least once or twice.
either that, home and power flashes once and 1/2 sec later release power while holding home still and plug it in wihout trying to let go the home button. dont even let go until itunes says somthing remotly saying anything ...lol

I have haerd that if you hold the reset/sleep + home button to reset, the when the apple logo appears let go of the reset/sleep button and hold the home button and it will put it into discovery mode when this happens plug it into itunes............... it might take a few tries

Wireless strength weaker in clamshell mode- any way to remedy?

Why is my wireless connection (via Time Capsule) much weaker when my MacBookPro is in clamshell mode? Is there a way to strengthen this other than opening the notebook? We already have an Airport Express very close to strengthen the signal. When opened fully, there is full wireless strength but in clamshell mode, it drops to 1-2 bars/rings and is noticeably slower to do anything online. Thanks for your tips, folks!

If the MBP is close to the AirPort, then connect the two using an ethernet cable (about $20 from your local computer store). It will be both faster and more reliable than any wireless connection

Apple TV Stuck in restore mode- any tips?

I updated my Apple TV to iOS4.3 and was having some annoying wifi issues, so decided to do a software restore on my Mac. I hadn't done that with the ATV previously, but have with iPhones.
The install seemed to be just about done, then popped up with an unhelpful error message-
"... unknown error (9)"
I've tried plenty of times, and usually get the same error, but sometimes it's 1610, 1611 or 2006.
I tried on a Windows XP laptop and got error 12.
If I plug it into HDMI I get the 'Connect to iTunes' logo on the TV.
Other things I've tried: uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and Quicktime, quitting iTunesHelper, trying to force the ATV into DFU mode, swearing, getting grumpy, and googling like crazy.
I think I've run out of options, and would already have taken the little black box to an Apple Store, except the nearest one is almost 2 hours away.
Does anyone have any suggestions, or any educated guesses about what my error messages might mean that could save me that 2 hour drive?

Annoying - my iPad bombed out during the iOS 4.3 update recently but eventually sorted it.
The codes are not all covered here but take a look anyway:

Couldn't find similar for AppleTV but someone else may post link.
I think it sounds as though you've tried most steps like different computer/restarting etc.
Ensure firewalls aren't blocking things, try disconnecting other devices, or if there's a possibility the USB ports aren't providing enough power try connecting via a powered USB hub.

Stuck in reset mode

I've been having issues with my Iphone4s (non jailbroken) I decided to "reset all settings" when I did that the little apple logo popped up and I assumed it was reseting. well its been stuck in the same spot for more than an hour now. I plugged it into my Mac to sync with itunes but because my phone is stuck on that screen you have to respond to itunes on your phone. Not possible. (FYI my sleep/lock button is broken) any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I ended letting my phone completely die, and then plugged it into my iTunes. And it worked! Hope it works for you also!!
