Stuck in temporary user after restore point - no access to internet & apps

On Satellite laptop internet start up access via wireless very slow "busy circle running on wireless systray icon", and applications would not run - sometimes up to 10 mins at startup before system settled down.
Suspected application recently installed making early internet access before system ready so decided to restore to pevious save point.
After recovery in safe mode windows 7 error messages starting with ie4uinit.exe cannot start also several other progs will not start...temp user is now only access to machine...no ie or applications...office or outlook either...
network wireless ok...can see files and folders on hdd and on local network computers
Although admin user cannot seem to regain old user profile or set up new user...no passwords used
How do I get back to my old user profile please?

thank you for your support, currently working from second pc on home network ; this 2nd pc operating on xp.
on laptop toshiba on w7 I am trying to avoid complete rebuild as i have many emails with long term threads both on outlook and firefox; as well as 'office 2010' files, sage accounting, and sage payroll [sage data files are backed up on to the network.
...and with advice this could be a windows 7 issue I have tried this forum too...
also thinking of upgrade to w8 so if i can sort this out then maybe I can modernise with more confidence...

No Apple Airplay after restore point :0{

i had to restore my g7 to an earlier time due to a spyware problem. Restore point worked perfect....but now my Apple Airplay does not stream. The laptop recognizes the Airport Express and allows wireless internet connection, but no Airplay...

For those of you that don't have a second computer, you can try to clear out (backup and move) all the iphone backup folders. This way it's almost like being at a new computer because a backup wasn't done before. Furthermore, you can isolate which encrypted backup files contain sms, which contain contacts, etc. So you can do a free restore with only certain files restored. Stuck on grey screen after restore

Ok, I thought I was a Mac power user until today with over 20 years using them, but I'm stumped.
I installed Lion and had the now-famous "lost user account" issue. So I "added" my old account and everything seemed ok. But when I tried to use Aperture, it couldn't find my library, which is one of the main things I use the Mac for. Not finding any solutions after quite a bit of Internet research, I reluctantly did a full restore (from 2 days before Lion was launched). The restore took literally all of yesterday. When I woke up, I was greeted with a notice saying that the restore had been successful. Great, right? Not so fast.
Since I hit restart, the machine has been stuck on the grey startup screen. (I'm typing this on my iPad)
I am about ready to break out my trusty copy of Disk Warrior, but before I do I thought I would ask the friendly folks here if you have any helpful suggestions so I don't make things worse. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Well, I got off the grey screen by doing a force shutdown and re-installing Snow Leopard, in case anyone else is having the same problem. I'm now in the process of verifying that everything that was on my machine is still functional before I contemplate "upgrading" to Lion again. Needless to say, I recommend regular backups. I've been doing so for a long time and have never needed the backup until now -- I'm glad I have it!

Phone stuck in recovery even after restore :(

hi guys, i just bought an iphone 3g in italy for like.. 3 weeks now, i've already downloaded alot of programs from the app store so it was kinda slowing down a bit, and since im lazy to reorganize them, i ended up using the restore function from the itunes.. after that.. my phone went crazy and is currently stuck in the recovery mode thingy.. there's a picture of a cable and itunes... i tried using restore again but it doesnt work at all....
i havnt seen anything like this in this forum or over the site's i've visited... i hope u guys can help or atleast give me a clue on whats going on..

Received excellent tech. support from Apple on this issue and after a full day of screwing around was able to get our Iphone up and working again without many of the aps and contacts that we have recently added. I'm an older guy and this reminds me of my early windows experience and not what I would expect from Apple. This is not a comment on the quality of the tech support but on the software glitches. Get it right guys or someone is on your heels who will!

Iphone 5s stuck at activation screen after restoring to factory setting

I had deleted my Apple ID and created one same Apple ID again. After i restored my iphone to factory setting, it stuck at the activation screen, even if i filled in the correct Apple ID and password, it shows "cannot use this Apple ID to unock this phone'. Seek for help.

You need the AppleID and passcode used to originally activate the iPhone.
This is a new security feature in iOS7 called Activation Lock. There is no
workaround.
Without the AppleID and passcode used to activate the iPhone, it will be useless
to you and everyone else.

I had my 3gs running at 4.2.1 and I wanted to update my os recently.. since my itunes is kinda old it was able to get 4.3.5 after updating and restoring the

Is there a SIM in the device? A SIM is required for activation.
The most common reason for activation issues is due to the device being hacked or jailbroken. If this is the case, no support can be provided here and Apple will not touch the device.

Honestly, If you are stuck in recovery mode. I would visit the nearest apple store and meet genius specialist to get you squared away. They may get you over this hump or simply swap out your device if is a hardware issue. I'm sorry you are faced with this issue.

Ok, so I was having the "searching..." signal for a long time, and then I decided to restore, after the restoration was done the iphone entered into recovery mode, i tried restoring again many times with no success, itunes keeps giving me an error (-1). The iphone is not jailbroken.

i really dont know what can cause it... best guess, somehow the iOS is not being saved correctly on the device...

IPOD Stuck on Language Screen after restoring

My IPOD, a 30GB video IPOD purchased a few years ago, has been getting stuck and not able to go further for the past couple days. I tried all the options and ended up doing a restore - but the restore has caused it to lock on the Language Screen.

Ipod Touch 2g stuck in recovery mode after restore, no error msgs

Help, please. I have an Ipod Touch 2generation that was my older sons and I wanted to restore it to factory to give to his younger brother. I get the message that is was restored successfully (Windows 7, no error messages or codes from Itunes) but when that message goes away and the ipod shows back up in itunes is still says its in recovery mode. I've tried different usb cables, different usb ports, turning off my anti-virus firewall protection, using a different pc (Windows Vista) and still the same thing.
