  • RHEL4U5 X86-64 HVM guest has the mouse stuck in the middle

I just created the HVM RHEL4U5 guest and the mouse is always stuck in the middle of the screen. Pressing Ctrl+Alt does not help either. tried restarting the guest and the VM server multiple times but to no avail. My vm.cfg file already has usbdevice = 'tablet'. Also tried mouseconfig. Anyone else has experienced this issue?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Thank you so much. Actually Centos is almost same as RedHat. They just change some images and texts containing RedHat copyrights and replace them with CentOS.
Thank you for your suggestion though. I'll use those templates. However, this mouse problem is kinda known problem I guess. I applied the suggestion in troubleshooting section (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11081_01/doc/doc.21/e10898/troubleshoot.htm#insertedID7) but did not work.
    Thanks,

  • Flash movie gets stuck in the middle

    Hey,
I have simple sliding pages mechanism in my flash file, all done with AS3 code. Now the pages, which are movieclips, are slid off the screen on a button press. Sometimes, everything goes smoothly, but on some people's computers the sliding pages get stuck in the middle, and then the next slide starts from the wrong position. This throws everything off the loop...I cannot understand why this is happening..as it only happens sometimes...I have rechecked the code millions of times...why is this happening??? Is it the code??
The file can be checked out at http://cleatbeat.com/halftime/issue5/index.html.
Any suggestions will be greatly welcome..am I doing something wrong in the code...??
    Cheers,
    Aditi

Can't say anything without seeing the codes.
I guess you have some errors at calculating the sliding effect.
When clicked too fast sliding errors occur.
You have to disable the click event till the the page stops at the right position  (removeListener for the button, then addListener....)

  • Stuck in the middle of HD replacement!

ifixit.com provides real good help with their guides. Cheers!
However, I'm stuck in the middle of replacing the HD and am just looking for a shoulder to cry. Why stuck?
At the electronics store where I bought the HD they mistakenly (or on purpose?)gave me a S-ATA drive instead of the Ultra ATA/100 (or ATA-6), it's just one letter difference in the specs. Unfortunately I did not check on the drive itself, but the bill states the corect drive. I hope they will still be ale to change the drives after 10 days of purchase now. Hmmm... old little iBook taken all apart and waiting for a HD on the kitchen table...makes me sad.

Sorry to hear of your misfortunes, but the store should definitely exchange the hard drive they gave you for the one you actually ordered and paid for. Very likely it is just an error--it serves no one's purpose to intentionally substitute one for another. With just one letter different, it would be an easy mistake to make.
Hopefully you will get the right one in soon and can reassemble your iBook and go back to using your kitchen table for eating.
    Good luck!

  • Stuck in the middle of install of snowleopard

my son is stuck in the middle of installing snowleopard,.
He has a macbook pro. and had leopard before.
The installation went for an hour but is now stuck on the gray screen with the apple and the little circle going round and round, no other progress bar and has been like that since YESTERDAY! yikes.
We couldn't get the disk out, shut down comp with the power button but when started again is still on that screen.

I had the same Problem on Saturday. Booting with "C" Key pressed and reinstallation helped...

  • 2.1.0.1526 software update stuck in the middle

Hi, I have connected my playbook to laptop and downloading the 2.1.0.1526 software on to my playbook.. For some reason it is stuck at installing module 32 of 46 for the last 1.5 hrs. At this point it looks like i cant cancel the update..would my playbook become unusable if i disconnect from the blackberry desktop software and force cancel it? I have backed up the playbook before this update..Not sure how long i need to wait. Please advise. Thanks. ,

Is the playbook connected to laptop for power purposes and you are downloading the update via wireless or did you download the update to the laptop and doing the update via connection to laptop..If you are connected to laptop for power/charging..that method does not offer enough power for a charge..via the wall plug is the recommended and only working method other than purchasing a rapid charger for about $40 which uses the three prong connection on the bottom of the PB..As for removing the PB now in the middle of the update, I am not sure...If you do, worse comes to worse, you may have to zeroize the notebook and start over again...just dont use the usb to laptop for power anymore

  • Disc 2 damaged - I'm stuck in the middle of a installation process HELP!

    Hi, folks.
I sold my iBook last thursday and I was preparing it for delivery. So, I started a Erase & Install of Tiger with the DVDs I received from Apple in order to give it to the new owner with a brand new system and none of my files. The problem is that after disc 1 had been popped out by the system and I inserted DVD 2, I found out it's damaged. iBook won't read it at all.
I tried several things such as copying the DVD in other computers but neither my MacBook nor my wife's PC can even read it. When it's about 20% read, a error messages shows up and process stops.
So, to make long things short, my iBook is stuck in the "Please, insert Disc labeled Mac OS X Installation DVD 2".
Is there a way I could force the system to skip this disc and log into Mac OS X even though I woudn't have the additional software installed? My priority now is to see the computer working.
    Thanks in advance.
    JP

I would call AppleCare and get a replacement disk, and just wait for it to come. Keep the machine where it won't overheat on a surface made of metal or stone glass, or plastic, and keep it plugged in.

  • Program gets stuck in the middle of a click

When I'm using Google Chrome for browsing this happens a lot. It's when I'm clicking something, like a new tab,  a link that opens a new tab or basically anything, Chrome gets stuck, does not freeze or anything, just stuck. The mouse, keyboard and everything works. But because of that, all pages stops loading until I click the trackpad once again. Then everything is back to normal.
It almost seems like the OSX thinks I'm "dragging" something. But I can't see that there is anything under the mouse pointer.
The issue have been present for more then a year.
I've also never ever had any issues with my trackpad in any sense. I think this is software related.
The problem occurs frequently in Google Chrome. I can't remember if it happens in any other application.
I also can't reproduce it. Problem seem to happen randomly.
Anyone else have the same issue?
Suggestions on how to fix this? Or what it could be?

Hi IamMille and welcome to Apple Support Communities,
First update your software to at least 10.6.8.
    Then reset PRAM and SMC:
    http://www.guidingtech.com/30498/what-is-pram-smc-mac-reset/
    >It almost seems like the OSX thinks I'm "dragging" something<
It might be that there is a cable problem w/ the trackpad or the track pad needs an adjustment.
Worst case, replace the track pad.

  • Reboot stuck in the middle of encrypting drive with file vault

I did a clean install of OSX 10.8.3 on my MBP's internal drive.  After doing that (256 GB Crucial SSD) I turned on FileVault encryption.  The encryption process has been running for 10 hours and the Estimated Time remaining is still at 33 days.  I don't think that's normal.  I read on one of the Apple Support pages that says you can power off during the encryption process:
FileVault should finish the initial encryption of your entire hard disk within a few hours. This happens in the background, and won't interrupt normal usage of your computer. In addition to using your computer, you can sleep, log out and even turn off your computer during this time.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4790
So I tried to reboot to see what would happen.  The computer was in the middle of a shut down and now it shows a gray screen that turns gray/blue every 15-20 seconds and then turns back gray a second later.  The screen is a solid color except the mouse pointer is visible.  I've been waiting for it to shut down for 10 minutes.  Should I HARD shut down (hold down power) or wait?  I could kill it and do another clean install, but I'd rather not if I could help it.
    Ideas?

There's nothing you can do but to force a reboot. If you continue to have problems, check with the manufacturer to see whether there's a firmware update for the drive. Some aftermarket SSD's seem to be incompatible with FileVault, for reasons that aren't clear.

  • IPod Touch 3rd gen stuck in the middle of 5.1.1 download?

I started a remote software (5.1.1 I believe) update on my iPod touch 3rd gen (through the settings), but I am on vacation and do not have access to my own iTunes account to plug in to for another two weeks. Now my iPod is stuck on the connect to iTunes screen and I've tried restarting it and everything and it just won't budge. How do I cancel the installation and get it off the screen?

    - Yes when you go home you can restore from backup.
    - You can also restore now. If you have no iCloud backup you can redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
and at least have some use of the iPod now. When you get home you can restore from your backup
