Stuck in vibrate mode when someone calls on my iPhone 6

So on my iPhone 6+ when someone calls sometimes it gets stuck in vibrate mode and won't stop until I turn the phone off. It's only happened twice tho. And the vibrate switch is off its on ring mode.

You share the same Apple ID and in iOS 8 there is a new feature, which if you didn't share the same ID, you can answer a call on another device if one is another room as long as they are both on iOS 8. To stop this, go to Settings > Facetime and turn off iPhone Cellular Calls. That will stop this for you.

Try a reset. To reset the iPhone, press and hold the home and sleep/wake buttons until you see the Apple logo (ignore the slide to power off prompt). If that doesn't work, perform a Restore via iTunes (from backup).

look in settings:sounds and be sure you have a ring tone set, and both vibrate buttons are off. Also be sure the volume slider id as far right as is comfortable.

Ringer and alert messages won't play on iPhone 4 when someone calls or sends a message, just vibrates.

Hello, I updated my iPhone 4 and after updating it to 5.0.1, all my sounds won't play, it vibrates when someone calls me, but it will not ring, or notify if there is a new message, however when I go to setting n tap the song to preview it, it will play, what happened to my phone this has never happened before I updated to ups 5.0.1, I already turned it off and back on but still no good, please help.

Rebooting the phone seems to have solved this for the time being. I will let everyone know if it recurs.

When receiving a call, my phone only vibrates once even if its on silent or not. I have checked all the settings and all appears ok. It works sometimes and doesn't other times. Does anyone know how this can be fixed?

Maybe your buzzer gets stuck when it vibrates? Try playing it by creating a custom vibration. Does it keep working properly then?
If that works, try setting up another vibration that should be played when someone calls you.

This is when the phone is unlocked mode. My snapshot is when the phone is locked.
Remember when you get a call when the phone is locked and you used to have slide to answer in iOS 6 and if you slide up you would have options to reject, reject with a message and reject with a reminder. We dont have that in iOS 7. iOS 7 *****, I cannot get back to iOS6, apple needs to be user friendly. Screen shot 1 when the phone is locked, screenshot 2 when the phone is unlocked.

My iPhone 4 does not ring when someone calls. I have checked volume and it is turned on. Left side button is up for ring sound. Volume buttons don't do any good. I updated my phone to IOS 5.1 but no difference. Please help with this issue. Thanks

I had the problem a few times. I had a faulty toggle switch (between vibrate and sound). I took it into the apple store, and I was covered under apple care. I walked out with a new phone, free of charge.

When someone call me on RTX 3088 either on Skype or on landline the unit closes by itself ! It initiates a die command and it shuts down immidiatly and i have to press power again to open it. I tried to update the softaware but it says that its the latest one.

I had exactly same problem, I could hear ringtones and when someone called me if I tuned on speakerphone I could hear them. My iPhone was constantly in headphones "mode" and I was not able to hear music over my speaker.
So this advice may be funny or stupid but that helped me: - try to suck air from your power connector on iphone. So make a closing with your mouth all around lower part of iphone where connector is, and suck air as hard and as long as you can. Again do not blow, just suck air.
My GF was laughing at me but after 5 min of constant sucking of my phone (looks weird) I got everything to work normal as before.

As far as trying to power up your device, make sure it has a good charge and then hold the button on the top of the phone and the home button on the faceplate together until the apple appears on the screen.

I have a IPhone 5 and Iphone 5s. Both are set up with the same account ID and running IOS 8.0.2. When the phones are connected to the same Wifi at home, both phones will ring when someone call in to one of the phone. Anyway to solve this problem?

If you answered using the wrong phone, then anyone calling the other number will not get through. Anyway to solve this problem?

Thanks for the question. It sounds like your devices are set up to use continuity together. Specifically, it sounds like you are signed into the same Apple ID in FaceTime, and have iPhone Cellular Calls enabled. To resolve your issue, simply disable this setting:
Connect your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch using Continuity

Turn off iPhone cellular calls
To turn off iPhone Cellular Calls on a device, go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off iPhone Cellular Calls.

My wife and I both have iPhones recently when someone calls her phone mine also rings. How do I stop this?

Both my wife and I have IPhones (5C and 4S). For some reason for the last several months when someone calls one of our phones it rings on both phones. It seems to have started with the OS updates but that may be a coincidence. Is there a way to stop this?

Correct, I wouldn't lead you astray with a false response. It happens because you and your wife are using the same Apple id for facetime - which you shouldn't do, either you or her will need a separate id for facetime.

My ipod touch 2nd generation is stuck at recovery mode when I tried to update from a 3 software to a 4 software. I tried puting it in DFU mode to fix it but a window pops up about the computer found new hardware and needs a cdrom. What do I do?

My Ipod is stuck at restore mode, when I downloaded fixrecovery and zlib1, they gave me a file which I can't open iBSS.n72ap. Fixrecovery wanted me to put it in DFU mode and I did but a window from my computer pops up telling me that it found new hardware and wants a CDrom to install. The ipod did not come with a CDrom software. It wont go back, and iTunes does not recongnize it. What should I do?

In the commercials for the iphone, when someone calls, the phone defaults to the wallpaper (in the commercials its most often the photo of earth) and the photo of the person is a small square in the upper right corner. When people call me, the photo I've chosen for them takes up the whole screen.
How do I make my phone look like the phone in the commercial?!
PS, I understand this question is pretty hilarious and non at all an important one.

Not silly at all, many have asked.
In general, the answer is....
When you sync contacts from your comptuter, if you are using a Mac or Outlook 2003 (I think) or higher, then in your computer's address book, you can assign an image. Your computer makes (saves) a thumbnail of that contact with your contact data. When you sync, that thumbnail comes over to the phone.
When you assign a picture via the iPhone to a contact, it stores a full screen version of it instead of a thumbnail.
So when a person calls, if the image was from a sync with a picture that was assigned from the computer you will see what you saw in commercials. If the image was assigned from the iPhone directly, then you get the full screen view when they call.

I know this seems trivial but I have difficulty seeing, so one of the reasons I actually purchased this phone was for this feature. When the photos do come up they come up in the top right corner in small boxes / windows. I already google'd this topic and they suggested importing the photos - to itunes and than directly on to the iphone, I did this and it didn't work. Additionally I took a few test photos from the iphone and tried setting them to contacts. This didnt work either. I looked in settings and could not find anything that discussed this issue. Although I do believe I have seen iphones that ring with large pictures. Am i Crazy?

You aren't crazy.
Adding the photo to contacts on the computer gets you the smaller pix when people call.
Assign the photo on the phone itself and you get full-size pix.
Additionally I took a few test photos from the iphone and tried setting them to contacts. This didnt work either.
So, that certainly should work. Try it again? Try it with a brand new contact, maybe it is not overwriting a previously existing picture.
I suppose there is a small possibility that Apple thought this differing behavior was a bug instead of a feature and "fixed" it with a recent update, but I doubt it.
