Stuck In Widescreen Position

Hello,
Videos on the iPod touch does not rotate when held in a vertical position. Only album artwork rotates to Cover Flow position the way it suppose to but videos only play in widescreen position only. I have no clue on how to fix this. Thanks.

    To back to the normal scale you have to disable the parallax.
    Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Reduce Motion (turn off)
    You won't be able to put the wallpepr out of frame as ios 6 (earlier), but it stop to putting the annoying zoom.

  • Texting on new 3GS stuck on widescreen?!

    Just put the sim card from my old iphone 3G 8 gig (AT&T) into my new iphone 3GS 16 gig, and when I go to send a text the keyboard is stuck on widescreen instead of changing to the regular upright keyboard when I turn the phone. Is there a way to change this?

    Ok so apparently it's something wrong with the sensor in the phone. I went to the zippo app and the flame is sideways even when I hold the phone upright. Guess I have to go exchange it tomorrow. Faulty iphone.

  • What does Restore do? iPad stuck in widescreen.

    My day old iPad is stuck in widescreen view and will not rotate. It worked last nite, but not this morning when I turned it on.
    I am going to try the Restore function, but wonder what effect that has. Will I lose all my data, programs, passwords what have been added?
    Thanks,
    Bill

    As far as losing anything, assuming you had a good last sync/backup it'll restore everything just fine. I did several restores yesterday (not because of a real software problem, don't ask!) and they worked just fine. I got an apparently bogus "you have iPad purchases that haven't been synced" message, did another sync, STILL got the message, and went ahead and lost nothing.
    But definitely check the orientation lock as the previous replyer suggested!

  • Stuck in Horizontal Position

    Good Afternoon Community,
    I have an ipad 2 bought last Christmas. The other day I was using the ipad with no problems and shut it down. When I opened the ipad everything was in a horizontal position. This includes Safari, books, apps, etc. I went into setup making sure the ipad 'stay in one position' was NOT clicked on. I fully powered down the ipad and also shook the ipad in case the leveling mechanism was stuck. Nothing has worked so far. Any suggestions other than sending it back for repairs?

    The side switch is the key.  Depending on your settings, it may affect the mute or it may affect the rotation lock.  Whichever function it supports, the other function is performed by a "soft switch."  This support article from Apple provides detail.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085
    In case you're wondering, here is the history.  Originally, the mechanical switch affected only the rotation lock and the mute was a software switch elsewhere.  In IOS-3, it was changed to be the mute switch and the rotation lock became a software switch.  This was done to ensure consistency among IOS devices.  Unfortunately, a large quantity of users complained loudly, alleging that they turned the rotation lock on and off several times every hour and the convenience of the mechanical switch is essential.  In IOS-4, Apple bowed to the whiners and made the switch function selectable and now we're stuck with a mess.
    There have been some problems accessing pages on the Apple web site.  If the hyperlink gives you a "We're sorry" message, try again.

  • S110 Flash Stuck in Out Position

    I have just turned off my Power Shot S110 and the flash is stuck in the out position. I have turned the camera on and off and tried to take the battery out to no avail. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Please excuse my late reply, I have been traveling.  I contacted Canon on 10.21.13 and they asked me to remove battery, memory card and hold on/off button for (1) minute. Then I was instructed to replace battery, memory card and turn camera back on (some sort of reboot, I guess.) This did not correct the problem.  Next step is to send my camera back to Canon for repair. I guess it's lucky my camera is only 6 mos. new, so no cost except shipping to me.

  • Ipod stuck in locked position.

    My iPod is stuck in locked, regardless of which position the sliding switch is in.  Does anyone know how to resolve?

    If a restore of the iPod in iTunes does take of the issue, your iPod likely needs servicing.  In this case, you'll probably need to have the hold switch swapped out.

  • Printerhead is stuck in right position

    This morning my printer gave the 0x61011bea message (paperjam);  after checking the entire machine I didn't find any paper left in the printer. The only thing I can't check is if there is any paper left in the printerhead because the printerhead is stuck in its starting position. Even after using considerable force, it will not move to the centre position. Even after resetting the printer and cut off the power, it will not move. Can some one give me some suggestions how to handdle? Because the printer is already 4 years in use, I will not let it be repaired because of the costs. yours scincerely, Bouke

    Hi , Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see that you're carriage is stuck in the right position on your HP Officejet 6500A Printer. I will certainly do my best to help you. From what you're describing, it sounds like the carriage is not moving correctly, this guide will help you determine if you have a hardware issue. I would try the steps within this guide, A 'Carriage Jam' or '0X610000F6' Message Displays for HP Officejet 6500A e-All-in-One Printer Series. NOTE: If the printer does not print a test page, there is an issue with the printer hardware. Continue to the next solution. Contacting HP for service in all countries/regions except Asia Pacific.If you completed all the preceding steps and your product still has an issue, service the product.First, go to Check your product warranty to check your printer warranty status, and then go to Contact HP Support to find an authorized service dealer or to schedule a repair.Repair fees might apply for out-of-warranty printers. What you can do, is use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:
    Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
    Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect

  • Actionscript Tweening stuck in mouseover position

    Here is my code for rollOver() and rollOut(). This code is
    applied to a small movieclip that moves the movieclip up 10 pixels
    on mouseover and back down on mouseout. It also gives the movieclip
    the elastic effect. Sometimes when I rollover the movieclip when
    viewing the swf, it gets stuck in the mouseover position when I
    have already rolled out. Any idea why it does this?
    on (rollOver) {
    var adobe = _level0.controls.Dock.graphics.adobe;
    var adobereflect =
    _level0.controls.Dock.graphics.adobereflect;
    var adobetxt = _level0.controls.Dock.graphics.adobetxt;
    import mx.transitions.Tween;
    import mx.transitions.easing.*;
    var Tweenadobe1:Tween = new Tween(adobe, "_y",
    Elastic.easeOut, 27, 12, 15, false);
    var Tweenadobe2:Tween = new Tween(adobereflect, "_y",
    Elastic.easeOut, 55, 65, 15, false);
    var Tweenadobe3:Tween = new Tween(adobetxt, "_alpha", None,
    100, 0, 30, false);
    Tweenadobe1.onMotionFinished = function() {
    Tweenadobe1.stop();
    Tweenadobe2.onMotionFinished = function() {
    Tweenadobe2.stop();
    Tweenadobe3.onMotionFinished = function() {
    Tweenadobe3.stop();
    on (rollOut) {
    var adobe = _level0.controls.Dock.graphics.adobe;
    var adobereflect =
    _level0.controls.Dock.graphics.adobereflect;
    var adobetxt = _level0.controls.Dock.graphics.adobetxt;
    var Tweenadobe4:Tween = new Tween(adobe, "_y",
    Elastic.easeOut, 12, 27, 15, false);
    var Tweenadobe5:Tween = new Tween(adobereflect, "_y",
    Elastic.easeOut, 65, 55, 15, false);
    var Tweenadobe6:Tween = new Tween(adobetxt, "_alpha", None,
    0, 100, 30, false);
    Tweenadobe4.onMotionFinished = function() {
    Tweenadobe4.stop();
    Tweenadobe5.onMotionFinished = function() {
    Tweenadobe5.stop();
    Tweenadobe6.onMotionFinished = function() {
    Tweenadobe6.stop();
    }

    stopping your tweens in an onMotionFinished isn't going to do
    anything useful. stopping your rollOver tweens when you rollOut
    would be helpful and stopping your rollOut tweens when you rollOver
    would be helpful.

  • IPhone 4S power button stuck in down position

    I just got 3 iPhone 4S's for Christmas for my kids through Sprint.  I am having a problem with one of the Power buttons stuck in the down position.  Sprint won't swap out the phone because they say I "ordered" them more than 14 days ago, even though I activated them on Dec. 25th.  So, now I have to drive 2 hrs to an Apple Store.  WHY????? Why can't sprint swap out this phone?  Why do I have to drive two hours to get to an Apple store so they can swap it out??

    Apple will cross ship you a replacement. They will require placing a hold on your credit card, but you will not be charged so long as you return the old one.
    As for the drive, I guess it's all a matter of perspective. I make the drive from West of Cleveland, OH to near Pitsburgh every few months to take the wife to the outlet malls where there's no sales tax on clothing. I don't know whether it's a good thing or a bad thing that my wife usually manages to buy enough that I save enough in sales taxes to cover the cost of gas back and forth...

  • Volume button stuck in down position

    my volume button is stuck in the down position on the + side.  How can I fix this?  Is there a fix for this?  Appreciate any help.

    I had a broken home button within 6 months. It was replaced under warranty. Now I have a broken volume up button less than a year later. They want $65 to fix with 90 day warranty. This is a major defect and they should have recalled these units. It is insane that they are still ignoring this problem and telling people to pay to have it fixed. I'm filing a complaint against Apple.

  • Trackpad stuck in "click" position

    I came back to my Macbook Pro (13" mid-2012) with the mouse part of the trackpad stuck in the "click" position. It's not currently clicking/dragging anything, but I am unable to use the trackpad like normal; instead I have to tap the pad. Nothing was spilled on it, and there is no debris stuck in the crack. Unfortunately I'm in a country far from an Genius Bars- is there anything I can do to fix it? Thanks!

    Problem eventually gets worse after lengthy usage. I'm noticing that the system is also hot when it gets like this. After putting it to sleep for a bit and coming back it wirks fine again. Overheating seems to be a likely cause and I'm sad to think about leaving my machine with Apple for however long it takes to fix it. Seems that I have little choice, especially after reading the many posts here about similar trackpad issues.
    Quality control feels like it's slipping at Apple.

  • Apps stuck in waiting position

    Ipad3 several apps stuck in a waiting position and unusable, what can i do please?

    If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

    Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
    If that doesn't work:
    •  Log out of your iTunes store account.  Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
    • Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
    • After restart, the Waiting should be gone.
