Stuck Ipod Rookie!

Hello everyone!
I bought my first ever ipod yesterday (a 30GB video one) and Im stuck on a few things....please can you help?
First of all, Ive downloaded my albums, but no album art is showing when I play them?
Secondly, Ive downloaded photos onto it, but theyve all come up in one album together. How do I seperate them into albums of my choice?
And finally, I have videos stored on my PC from my digital camera, how can I download these to my Ipod? Is it possible?

You will need to go to the original folder that you used to download your photos. Put those into albums and re-sync the ipod.
I have downloaded my digital videos from my camera by first converting them using Videora and then adding to ipod. Of course that was before the update to iTunes. iTunes now has an option to convert files to the proper format, so you may not need to use Videora first.

    Hi,
this is my first post here.
My iPod touch 4th gen has been experiencing some problems with the home button lately. The home button is semi stuck. It works but I have to press it really lightly at times and really hard at other times. I don't know what happened. I let my little brother play with it for a day, and when he returned it to me it was like this. I tried recalibrating it but it was no good. I would try the alcohol method, but there's no alcohol allowed in my house. I tried asking my parents to get me a swab for this purpose and they refused lol. Should I try using a wet q-tip around the home button? Or should I try using my vacuum cleaner's pipe suction things on the usb port thing while holding down the home button? Any and all help is appreciated

  • Stuck IPOD

My Ipod nan 2nd gen, which i got last Nov is stuck.
I was listening to it this morning when the battery ran out, so i connected to the mac i use and the screen cam on but went black straight away with a slighty faded white apple symbol on it, no backlight. It didnt appear in itunes either. I left it for an hour and nothing changed except every now and then the screen did a refresh went blank then the same black screen with apple symbol appears. No buttons or wheel works at all.
I unplugged it and tried different usb port then different mac still the same.
If i leave it for half an hour it turns itself off. But as soon as i try anything it does the same again.
    Any ideas

  • Stuck on rookie Ajax test

    Hey Gang,
I'm trying to do my first Ajax test, and I can't figure out
    why something
    isn't working.
Basically, I'm sending the contents of a text field to a 3
    line asp page,
and sending the results back via ajax.
    Here's the thing...
On the asp page, I can return response.write time / and
    response.write "Any
    text at all"
    But I cannot return a Request.Quesrystring, or a Request.Form
If I change the Asynchronous attribute to False, then the Get
    or Post will
    response.write as expected.
It's just when I set it to asynchronous (to keep from
    changing page), that
it returns the hard coded string, or time.. but not the
    Querystring.
    Here's the code.
It's very simple and short, I'm sure I'm just missing some
    programming logic
that I'm not up to speed on.
Any info would be very appreciated.
    Thanks
    -Dave

  • Charged indicator seems to be stuck, ipod won't turn off!!! help

I took my ipod running last week and it got a little damp in my trousers!!
Since then it will not turn off anymore. I have let the battery die down. I have reset it on the ipod and on itunes, but nothing seems to help.
It just won't turn off, the charged sign (large battery with a plug in it) shows all the time.
If I leave if as it is over night, the battery is then dead.
    Can anybody help me.
It's an ipod nano 1gen. not even 6 months old.

If it got wet, set it in a cool, dry place and leave it there for at least a week. Then connect it to power (preferably a wall charger) and let it charge for at least 30 minutes, then Reset it (hold down the menu and center buttons for at least 6 seconds). If it comes to life, connect it to your computer, Restore it in itunes, then let it fully charge.

  • Failing transfers from iMac to iPod

I've won a free 30GB Video iPod and last night I set aout transferring my iTues Library to the new iPod. I had no idea how long such a step would take so i decided to do it overnight.
Just before going to bed I noted that it was transferring a Queen track. 12 hours later it was still tansferring the same track - it had obviously stuck.
Ejecting the iPod didn't, so the only way I could stop the session was to unplug the USM lead - not recommended practice I guess.
I started again and it stuck at the same place so i deleted that track from iTunes and started yet again.
This time it stuck on another track so I had to repeat all the "pull out the USB lead, delete offending track and start again" routine.
This has now happend five times and I'm still nowhere near copying the whole iTunes library - and the offending tracks play fine on the iMac.
    So:
    1 Why is it happening?
2 How can I stop it happening again when the "offending" tracks are put back into my iTunes?
3 How can I ever "automatically" synchronise if everytime I plug in the iPod it is going to stick?
I am an iPod rookie (and, for that matter an iTues very basic user) so any advice would me very much appreciated.
    Cheers.

Thanks, Jeff. I've followed your tip and some loaded correctly after I'd reimported them from the original CDS and a couple didn't. Those latter have now been binned permanently.
But I have another problem: I am now importing my iPhotos onto the iPod and it has again "stuck". The problem is that, unlike iTunes imports, iPhoto seems to give no indication as to which specific snap is causing the problem. How can I identify and remove the offending picture?
If I just pull the USB plug on the iPod (the only way I've found of freeing a stuck transfer session), will all those prior to the sticker remain on the iPod so that I can just count to the offender, or will it lose some of them and leave me none the wiser?
    Cheers.

  • Should i send my ipod for service?

I have some issues with my ipod atm.
-Ipod goes into (please use itunes to restore ipod...) after being switched on. It happens after being switched off after awhile.
-Freeze during playback. (At the now playing screen)
-Ipod freezes and needs reset when scrolling/browsing the ipod too fast.
I have tried the latest itunes to restore the ipod countless times but the problems above still persist.

Try uninstalling, then reinstalling the latest version of iTunes. after that, go to Apple Software Updater in your Programs list, and do all the updates you can, then restart your computer. Plug in your iPod, then try restoring it in "Disk Mode", to put it in Disk Mode, turn hold on and off, then hold the Menu+Select buttons simultaneously. When the Apple logo pops up (before the backlight turns on, now be quick!), hold Play+Pause simultaneously until your iPod looks like an old school iPod. Then plug it in and restore it using iTunes. Reply me the results when you are done.
    Hope this helps!!

  • Center Button Stuck. Anyone else with this problem?

My center button got stuck on June 1st and I took it in to Best Buy where I bought it because I had a warranty on it. They said it had to be sent in to be repaired and I got it back on June 12. On June 20, after playing with it twice since I got it back, it broke again. I took it in to Best Buy again yesterday and they're supposed to be "fixing" it again. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Is so, how and if it was fixed.
    Thanks.

I just got that same problem today - my iPod classic got a stuck center button, and the screen was staying lit with "Do Not Disconnect".
So I used my nylon tool to pry open the case, and the tiny phillips screwdriver to separate the screen cover from the LED screen. I found a web page which shows exactly the condition of the central button, with the misaligned rubber dot:
    http://scrap104.blogspot.com/2008/10/stuck-ipod-center-button.html
It was fairly easy to fix the center button by moving the adhesive pad back, but I would advise to avoid using a metal tool around those microcircuits, to avoid shorting out the CPU. And I filed the edge of the plastic center button for smoother operation.
When the iPod was put together, pushing the center and menu buttons together set it back to normal.

  • Help!  my classic 80g  ipod is frozen

my relatively new ipod is frozen again. this time i it doesn't turn off, nor does itunes recognize that it is connected. i'm waiting to see if the battery will run down, but it looks like the battery on the screen hasn't moved. btw the screen is the main menu - nothing works. the wheel doesn't do anything, the screen doesnt' dim.
    words of wisdom out there?

    NewiPod25 wrote:
...ipod is frozen again... the wheel doesn't do anything, the screen doesnt' dim...
This suggests that it's "stuck" - doing something. Mine got stuck with the screen off!
First, try a reset on the iPod: turn the Hold button on, then off again and then press-and-hold the menu button and the select (centre) button and hold them down together for ten seconds. This should cause the Apple logo to appear on the iPod and then it will reset itself. Experts (of which I am not one) say you may have to try this more than once!
If that doesn't work, I would try letting the battery run down. The fact that something is displayed on the screen proves that the battery is being used, so eventually it will drain down and the iPod will turn off. This may take 24 hours. (It did on my 160GB Classic.) When you then re-charge the iPod, it will wake up after charging for about 30 minutes, with the low-battery warning, so give it enough charge time before unplugging it. (This fixed my stuck iPod, although I then had to remove the video which caused it to get stuck.)
By now I would hope that your iPod is behaving again. If not, try the 5Rs. I'm not familiar enough with the procedure to describe it, but it is documented at: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/classic/
Let us know how you get on, it helps all of us.

My power button is stuck...i think in on postition, any way to fix this, can apple fix at minimal exspense??  or do i need to buy a new one

Apple can fix this, but I don't know the price.

Try switching it back from landscape to vertical. Or, go to settings and see if you have any special setting turned on that enable only landscape view. Also, try hooking it up to your computer and charging it to see what happens.

If you go to the Now Playing screen, the Repeat control is the the arrowed racetrack icon on the left side right below the scrubber bar. Tap the icon to change. It is white when Repeat is off.
