Stuck loading on "verification required" screen.

I am trying to download an app. It asked me for my mac id and password. I entered both, and then it asked me for it again saying it needed me to verify my billing information. I entered password and id again and it just sits there loading...have tried closing down app store and trying again and again to no avail.

Click Account on the right side of the App Store window under Quick Links then sign in.
In the next window click Edit to the right of Payment Information.
Make sure your billing info is correct as well as the expiration date and security code then click Done.
Now try downloading an app.

  • Apple TV stuck on What's New or Verification Required screen after v5.1 update

After updating my 2 Apple TV 3 to v5.1, my Apple TVs no longer respond to remote commands though I do get a blink response from the boxes when selecting. The atvs periodically blink, the screens go black and return me to the screen that was up when it went black. In one case, it's the What's New screen. In the other, the Verification Required screen. I only got to the Verification screen by a lucky remote recognition after unplugging the atv and plugging it back in.
I have not tried restoring from iTunes. Cannot locate any of my microUSB cables. Any suggestions or solutions?

I have this problem too.  It actually seems like the "What's New" screen is in front of the regular menu/navigation.
My original remote broke, and I've been using the Remote app.  If I swipe left and right, i can hear the clicks.  If I press to select, it sounds like I might be choosing an item from the menu... which I can't see because the "What's New" screen is in front and won't go away!

  • Import Screen Stuck Loading!

    Hello,
I am having an issue importing a video to edit in Adobe After Effects CS5.5 on my Macbook.  I make a new project and make a new comp, but when i go to file and select import a file, it brings up a screen that it normally would, and its like the Finder menu, and i have it selected under Photobooth so I can upload Photobooth window, and it begins to load, but then my computer says "Community Toolbar" (I have my computer set to read out things that need attention) and it is stuck loading, everything else works though but it doesn't let me do anything with the window, including quit it.  HELP!

No idea what you are trying to tell us. Your description sounds confusing. Screenshots perhaps? And if some sort of system extension is blocking file access, while not simply disabel it for the duration? This is by no means normal and definitely not related to AE. Seems more like whatever tool you are using has associated itself with specific file types...

My MacBook Pro fell and now when I turn it on its stuck at the apple logo screen with a loading circle underneath it. What can I do to get passed this?

Sounds like something internal was damaged in the fall, probably the disk drive. Take to Apple and ask them to fix it.

  • IPhone 3G -- 4 upgrade; apps won't update/install - verification required?

I upgraded my 3G to a 4. I backed up the 3G, went to the AT&T store, they switched over to the 4. I plugged the 4 back into my PC and restored the 3G backup. I had to re-enter some passwords but otherwise everything was restored.
However, I cannot install or update applications. When I try to do this, it says "Verification Required" and I have to hit "Continue." Then it says "Sign In Required" and I hit continue and enter my iTunes MS password. Then it pops up a credit card screen and it wants my 3-digit ID. I enter that and it Done and it pops up an "Address Verification" screen to pick my county.
At this point it gets stuck in a loop and no matter how many times I pick my county, it clears my entry and goes back to that screen.
I tried logging out and back in on the phone, no luck.
I tried updating from Settings, no luck.
I tried logging out and back in from iTunes, which let me enter all of this information, but the phone still keeps asking for it.
    I have restarted the computers.
    I have restarted the phone.
Unlike the other thread about this, I'm not using multiple accounts. This is very frustrating and irritating.

i can verify that this abject failure occurs on a 3G iPhone running iOS 4 as well.
do NOT NOT NOT "upgrade" to iOS 4 unless you absolutely must.
i get no requests for verification or agreement to boilerplate.
    i get no password prompts.
i have no restrictions in iTunes or on the phone to prevent apps installing.
i have restarted phone and computer repeatedly.
and yet the imbecilic software simply grays out the Apps tab in iTunes/Devices/my phone. it's not even as if it lost connection to the phone - if i rearrange apps on my phone itself, when i reconnect to iTunes the grayed-out App tab reflects the changes. music syncs fine. it just won't let me
    sync apps.
oh, and iOS 4 brought back the infernal 2-second delay every time you touch the screen in iPod mode. really effing annoying whenever you scroll in cover flow, or actually just all the time.
it makes me think Apple might actually have become evil enough to sabotage customers' old hardware in order to drive new iPhone and iPad sales. the less-cynical view might be that they're just really busy fixing antenna issues, but you can no longer be sure.

  • Ipod touch wont load past apple screen. I have tried resetting by holding home button and on/off but after it resets it still only loads to the apple screen. When I plug the device in It stays on the apple screen and itunes does not recognize it?

Ipod touch wont load past apple screen. I have tried resetting by holding home button and on/off but after it resets it still only loads to the apple screen. When I plug the device in It stays on the apple screen and itunes does not recognize it? I fear it may be stuck in some sort of reset loop which is stopping itunes from recognizing it. How do I go about the process of sending it in to apple if I cannot find a fix? Thank you in advance, it is greatly appreciated!!

    - See if placing the iPod in Recovery mode will allow a restore.
    - If not successful and you can't turn the iPod fully off (that is required to place in recovery mode), then let the battery fully drain. After charging for at least an hour try the reset, restore again
    - Then time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apples store.

  • Macbook Pro won't load past a grey screen on startup!

I apologise for what will most likely be an essay ahead.
I have a Macbook Pro (2.16ghz) that is just over three years old. It is running on Leopard with all the up to date patches / updates. Over the past week or so, it has been 'playing up' in the sense that the spinning loading icon would appear at random intervals and stay there for a good 20 to 30 seconds or so, not allowing me to do anything. If I would be listening to music, the music would pause and then come back on.
It would normally appear when something was trying to load. For example, the final straw was when I was using Adobe Bridge and it was taking an extremely long time to load up the photos I had imported and in the end I gave up. Speed has never been an issue before and my MBP has 2GB of RAM.
So I backed up what I needed and proceeded to do an 'Erase and Install(Leopard) format. Once formatted, the MBP booted up and I completed the registration, took my User picture blah blah etc. Once done, the MBP booted into OS X - this is where the problems occurred. The spinning loading icon appeared and after about 30 seconds or so, the Finder window / toolbar at the top disappeared, as did the Macintosh HD icon on the desktop. All I was left with was my wallpaper and Dock with icons in. However, if I clicked on any of the programs, nothing would happen.
Naturally, I tried restarting it and the same thing happened again. I figured that because my MBP was connected to a second Dual monitor, that this might have been the issue so I decided to boot from the OS X Leopard CD and do another 'Erase and Install'. I once again got past the registration screen, but this time, instead of booting into OS X my MBP stuck itself on a grey screen. It would not go any further.
I then decided that the spinning loading icon issue may be a RAM problem. When I first got my MBP, I upgraded the RAM so I knew how to take it out and replace it. So I tried taking out the RAM stick (1GB) I put in orignally and booting it with the original 1GB stick. The same problem occurred. I tried the other way round, putting in my 1GB RAM stick and taking the original out - nothing worked. I tried every possible combination, even swapping the sticks around.
Eventually my brother tells me he has some spare RAM which I also try and once again, this does not solve the issue. So I figure it cannot be a RAM problem.
So next I try booting from the OS X Disc on startup and run Disk Utility. I verify and repair the Mac HD which comes up fine. No errors, no issues, nothing.
I finally scour the internet for info on what could be the cause of the problem and the biggest suggestion seems to be formatting. So I once again try formatting my MBP for a third time - however this time, I get the original problem. It boots up into OS X but then the Finder toolbar and Mac HD icon disappear, leaving me with Dock and Wallpaper.
The final thing I try is resetting the MBPs PRAM on startup. This does not solve the issue.
So here I am. If you could be bothered to read all of that, well done haha I'm not sure if I could have.
If anyone has ANY suggestions or advice, please post!
I do not have Apple Care so if I was to take it to the local Genius bar, would they look at it for free and diagnose it? Or would that cost me? I have never had to take my MBP in before.
    Thankyou again

I just skimmed over this because the post is like a small novel! lol Try a Apple Hardware Test. I think it's probably a bad logic board.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1509
Don't take it to a Genius Bar until you've done this, saves time and you might have a little more info to give them. Also that way you won't feel pressured into anything. It's out of warranty, so sometimes I've noticed they can be a little pushy especially on a very high dollar replacement such as a new logic board on an out of warranty item. Also the "enhanced diagnostic" is around $100, so you might have to at least fork over a hard earned Benjamin and not get anything fixed. And whatever you do, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT tell them you upgraded the RAM yourself. If they are feeling in a good mood and decide to knock off any money or waive any sort of fees, this will kill it instantly. RAM is considered "user serviceable," but they normally try to plead "the part you installed is not Apple Authorized" or the "installation caused the issue and was not an ACHT." Put back in the original stick and leave it alone. Hope this helps you out!

  • One last doubt about the Verification Required message when trying to download anything.

Hello guys, so this is the thing.
Like a lot of people here I'm getting the annoying message "Verification Required: Before you can make purchases, you must tap Continue to sign in, then verify your payment info". OK right now my son is using my iPad and I setted my credit card payment info to None, so he can't purchase anything. He's just trying to install free apps like messengers, alarms, free games and other free stuff, but so far he only installed Yahoo Messenger, which is a free app like everybody knows. However we haven't be able to download anything else because that message which prevents to download anything. Also I'm in a new address and can't update my personal data because I have selected the None option in credit cards.
So this is my doubt: If I checked None, it's suppossed I can't pay for anything, which is good to me right now because my son is ussing my iPad so, why I can't even download the free ones? I mean that's not logical to me.
Why I can't navigate through the App Store getting free apps without this annoying message which prevents me to install even free apps?
    I just don't understand it.
I hope anyone can help me.
    Best regards.

    Try 3 things -
    1. Double tap on the Home button, scroll through the appas until you get to the Apps Store one, press on it until the minus sign appears on it and then press of the minus sign. Go back to your Home page, selec the Apps store nd try again.
    2. Do a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank power On again in the normal way.] It is absolutely/appsolutely safe!
    3. Delete your card details in your Account details and try again.

  • Verification Required HELP!!!!

Hello everyone in the apple community, so recently i got this little problem with my itunes account but then it became a nightmare. So i got this prepaid Visa credit card as a gift. It has 25 bucks loaded in it, that means once you used the 25 bucks, you cant use it anymore. I used 15 bucks before and i had 10 remaining. So i decided to buy some gems in clash of clans using the credit card. The gems costed $6.49 so i had $3.51 remaining. Then i accidentally pressed it again then trouble happened. It just kept saying there was a billing error with your previous purchase. Everytime i need to download an app, it would say verification required. When i press continue it would just force me to type another payment type. But the thing is i don't have a credit card with me and i cant purchase gift cards at the moment. I searched it online before and i think paying the debt is the only way. Is there anyway to bypass this???? I cant even download or update apps at the moment. And also, there is no "none" option for me to choose. If any of you can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

If you owe iTunes money then you won't be able to download anything else (including redownloading past purchases and app updates) until you've paid what you owe - and you won't potentially get the 'none' option until it's paid. You don't have a store nearby that sells iTunes gift cards ?

  • IMac makes a loud beep on start up, won't load past the blue screen and the black ticking dial appears every few seconds in centre of screen.

    Urgent help!
Out of the blue my mac lost the mouse cursor even though it had connection so I rebooted only for the mac to make a loud beep on start up then get stuck at the blue loading screen. It won't load past the blue screen. I've tried to reboot holding down the shift key but no change. I've also shut down, unplugged the main for 15 seconds, re plug and wait 5 seconds before starting up again but no change. Does anyone have any suggestions?
PS: I'm not too sure which systems I am running without being able to check in about this mac. I bought my imac in January or February 2011 if that helps.

The power on self-test resides in the ROM of the computer. This test runs whenever the computer is turned on after being fully shut down (the power-on self-test does not run if the computer is only restarted).
If a fault is detected during the test, you will not hear a normal startup chime. Instead, the system will beep as explained below. If you experience one of these beeps, you may call your Apple Authorized Service Provider for additional troubleshooting assistance.
1 beep = no RAM installed
2 beeps = incompatible RAM types
3 beeps = no good banks
4 beeps = no good boot images in the boot ROM (and/or bad sys config block)
5 beeps = processor is not usable

  • Captivate 7 Stuck Loading after installing Microsoft Office 2013

Before the problem started, I initially had Adobe Captivate 5 (not 7) and have been working fine until I installed Microsoft Office 2013. As I tried to start Captivate 5, it gets stuck on the loading page—the welcome screen never shows up. After I checked this blog on the forum, which is blaming 3rd party fonts that may cause this issue to happen—I never installed any 3rd party fonts—I wasn’t sure if Office 2013 come with additional fonts that are not compatible with Captivate 5. So I removed Captivate 5 and installed the trail version of Captivate 7 (32 bit) thinking that Captivate 7 will be okay with any additional fonts that come with Microsoft Office 2013. Still having the same issue—can’t get the welcome screen—stuck on the loading screen. Regardless, whether I try to start the software or try to open an existing Captivate file by double clicking.
As per another blog on the forum, I also tried removing/renaming Captivate folder located in C:\Users\MYUSERID\AppData\Local\Adobe but that didn’t help either. Now I have completely removed Captivate 5 folder from the directly as I have installed Captivate 7—still stuck with the same problem.
I am running Window 7 Professional (32 bit), have the latest version of Java SE 7 Update 25, downloaded latest AIR update and of course every time removed any software, I did restart the computer to update the registration keys before installing a newer version of a software.
You help and advice will be greatly appreciated! Many thanks!
    Regards,

    Hello Parth.
Many thanks for your help! It worked!
After deleting every font I could (out of 820 fonts, ended up deleting 687 fonts--only 133 remined that were proected-system fonts) I am successfully able to launch Captivate 7. I guess Microsoft Office 2013 did install some fonts that conflicted with Captivate 7 (even version 5). By the way, Myriad Pro, my favorite font when it comes to Captivate, is also system-protected that I couldn't delete. I now just have to work on Part B, and slowly reinstore the deleted fonts in small batches to keep Captivate working.
Thank you again for the tip ... much appreicated!
    Regards,
    Farooq
