Stuck on Safari 7.1. Any way to downgrade?

Hi,
So, for some reason, it looks like Safari on my laptop was upgraded to version 7.1. I did a little googling and found that 7.1 is a developer version. I am not, nor have ever been part of the developer program, and 7.1 breaks a feature of one of my more frequently used plugins (ClickToPlugin). Is there any way for me to downgrade to 7.0.5? I'm running OS X 10.9.4. I haven't been able to find any download links to 7.0.5. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much!

Yes. See the link I posted previously on this thread.
At this point, you need to restore OS X using OS X Recovery
Takes about 35 to 45 minutes on a broadband connection.
Make sure to backup all important data first just in case.

No way to downgrade... Apple does Not support downgrading.
    However... Try these Troubleshooting tips...
    Try this First...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons...

    2)  Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and “ Restore “...

Also consider Deleting any Apps you have Purchased / Downloaded but you now never use..

No, you cannot downgrade your iOS device. That's not supported by Apple.

No, Apple does not support downgrading of software.

  • Any way to downgrade to 2.1.2?

Please let me know if there is any way to downgrade to MS 2.1.2?
The original link ( http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1011 ) is no more available.
MS 2.1.3 practically ruined my setup. It's the most unstable and buggy MS version ever.
    Thanks.

ReWire in 64-bit also requires ReWire slave applications to be in 64-bit. Which ones are there? Live is not, as they state on their website - anything else? Otherwise ReWire 64-bit is kind of useless...
Is Live 8 a 64-bit application and how much memory can it address running on Mac OS X 10.6?
Live is a 32-bit application. As of Mac OS X 10.4, the Mac version of Live can make use of up to 4 GB of RAM. This still holds true for 10.6.
When will Live be released as a 64-bit application?
A 64-bit version of Live for Windows and Mac OS X is planned, but there's no release date announced so far.

  • Since i have downloaded the new IOS 8 my ipod touch 5G has been much slower, is there any way to downgrade and get the MUCH better IOS 7 back?

I have recently downloaded the new IOS 8 and it has made my Ipod much slower.
is there any way to get IOS 7 back or a way to speed up IOS 8?

Downgrading the iOS is not supported by Apple:
    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Any way to downgrade 7.6.1?

I am using Windows Vista with iTunes and so far have gone without any hitches (hate WMP) but I just recently upgraded to 7.6.1 and now my taskbar player is no longer working, the volume is not in sync with iTunes, it is not responsive at all and the only way to maximize iTunes is to actually attempt to launch the application again.
I am wondering if there is any way to either fix this issue or downgrade to maybe version 7.6.

There is no reason to wonder why my friend. Iphone 4 is now way cheaper. Something which would sabotage the long-waiting Iphone 5s and 5c. In my point of view, by releasing iOS 7 in Iphone 4 causing it to lag, Apple possibly thought of it as a solution to make people upgrade to a newer Iphone. This is the global market. Nothing you can do about it. If apple cares about their fans, will do something to overcome this ridiculus lag on Iphone 4. If not there are plenty of options you can choose. Personally if my phone won't "get better", i'll go buy the Samsung S4.

  • Any way to downgrade only one user's account?

My son's school has informed us that we need to downgrade Firefox to version 3.5 in order for him to be able to use PowerSpeak for his German lessons. I do not feel safe in doing this. Is there any way to just change the version of the browser on one user's account, instead of on my entire computer?

It gets a bit complicated when doing that; all users are affected when it comes to the "default browser" being the last installed version. Your best course of action is to install an older version of Firefox Portable in that one user account, as the Portable version installs in its' own folderset and doesn't write to the Windows Registry.

  • Is there any way to downgrade to 3 from 4 without the shsh blob

I recently updated my itouch 2g to os4 and then found out that one of the apps I had won't run on 4. I didn't save the shsh prior to the upgrade so I'm guessing there is no way to downgrade. Does anyone know if it is possible without the shsh blob?
    thanks

Alternatively, check for updates to the App. If not, contact the App's developer to ask if and when there will be an update for it that will cause it to work with iOS4.
It's odd though, that an App should stop working after an update to the Touch's firmware. You'd think the App's developer would sort that out very quickly.

  • Any way to downgrade from 64bit to 32 bit Vista OS

Is there any option to downgrade 64bit machine to 32 bit vista OS...Most of the application is not working with 64bit and Its hard to keep purchasing all softwares for 64bit machine...

There are simpler VPN apps than Citrix, Hamachi for example. The compatibility mode is simply a case of right clicking the executable, going to the compatibility tab and setting the options. I've got a feeling the only thing you'll need to do is set the privilege level to Run as administrator. It's nothing to do with 64bit anything.

  • I messed up my Safari font. Any way to reset?

So I was trying to play with my fonts on Safari, after realising that the Appearance panel had disappeared.
Searching online, I found this script to edit the font:
    #!/bin/bash
    if [[ $(ps -ax | grep -i safari | grep -v grep | wc -l) -ge 1 ]] ; then osascript -e "tell application \"Safari\" to quit";  fi
    defaults write com.apple.Safari com.apple.Safari.ContentPageGroupIdentifier.WebKit2StandardFontFamily '%filltext:name=font-face:default=Lucida Grande%'
    defaults write com.apple.Safari com.apple.Safari.ContentPageGroupIdentifier.WebKit2DefaultFontSize %filltext:name=default-font-size:default=14%
    defaults write com.apple.Safari com.apple.Safari.ContentPageGroupIdentifier.WebKit2FixedFontFamily '%filltext:name=fixed-font-face:default=Consolas%'
    defaults write com.apple.Safari com.apple.Safari.ContentPageGroupIdentifier.WebKit2DefaultFixedFontSize %filltext:name=fixed-font-size:default=11%
osascript -e "tell application \"Safari\" to activate"
Entering it on Terminal caused Safari to quit, and when I restarted it, the script had worked, but the font was way to small.
I have tried resetting Safari but it hasn't worked.
I highly prefer Safari over Chrome and want to use it again, but the fonts are now too small. Please help

you can remove most all changes to Safari's default preferences by trashing this file :
    ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
you should be able to triple-click the line above to select it, then ctrl-click & choose Services - Reveal
a Finder window should open with the file selected. Quit Safari, trash the file. This will reset any changes you made in Safari preferences & also those for some extensions.
Safari - Preferences - Advanced has a setting for 'never use font sizes smaller than...' which may help. The size can be selected & entered manually for 15/16 which aren't in the drop-down

  • I updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 6 and lost all of my safari bookmarks. Any way to get them back?

I updated to the iOS 6 yesterday and just noticed all of my safari bookmarks are gone. I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 6, I use iCloud for backing up my phone. Any help is appreciated.

What were you syncing your contacts with? If you were not syncing them to a contact manager or cloud service as intended, you may have to purchase 3rd party software to try and extract what informaion there is from the backup.

  • Safari-Is there any way to stop the tab bar from disappearing when you scroll down?

It's really annoying.  I know tapping it makes it come back, but still.

You will find that this is application dependent.  Most Apple applications such as Safari and Mail will use the "sheet" type of dialog boxes that you are referring.  There is no way for the user to change that behavior.  Other, non-Apple, applications like Firefox use a "modal" dialog box for printing etc.  The modal boxes can be moved around so you can see the page behind.
