Stuck on Signing In...

Like it said, forever signing in,latest version 6.21.
I have Bitdefender Internet Security 2013
Windows Firewall is not blocking it, neither is Bitdefender.
I've reinstalled, chkdsk, set old Roaming>Skype to Roaming>Skype_old
Reset my Skype Proxy port
Skype /has/ worked before
I've restarted my computer.
So...what?

Try to disable Bitdefender Firewall:

  • I can't log onto facetime on my mac.  My apple ID and password is correct and it is working on my ipad/iphone.  My facetime preferences is grayed out and I keep having to turn facetime on.  My screen gets stuck on signing in or verifying.

I have used facetime on my mac recently and have not had this problem until today.  Facetime seems to have logged out on all of my devices but after putting my password in on my iphone/ipad it is back to normal however my Macbook will not allow me to log in.  I also noticed that facetime preferences is grayed and I keep trying to turn facetime on and that is graying out as well.  I put in my email and password and I get stuck on "signing in".  Or I get past that and I verify my email and password and I get stuck on "verifying" only to get booted back to the sign in page.  My OS is up to date, my wifi is on and working and I have no firewall on my home network.  I cannot figure out how to fix this.  I have tried some previous message troubleshooting such as updating the DNS entry to add 8.8.8.8 and that did not work.  I have tried to toggle facetime on and restart but that did not work.  I can't delete and reinstall facetime as it is connected to the OS and will not allow you to do that.

I have the same problem. Unfortunately, the troubleshooting link you added has the first step listed as "Verify that FaceTime is enabled in FaceTime > Preferences" which we (the original poster and I) can't do as our Preferences are greyed out. We can't click on them to verify anything.
In FaceTime itself it's verified my apple id (also double checked via the site) and then it says the email is "verified" but then it freezes and after a minute or so it says "Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again."
After checking the network connection, it still doesn't work. It's rather frustrating as it all worked fine until about a week or two ago.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Reinstall Mavericks but stuck on sign in to the app store !!

HI, yesterday i try to update Yosemite but it was not success
Then i try to reinstall Mavericks and everything is fine until i sign in an apple account .
i stuck on "signing in to the app store" and cant do anything
    what should i do?
    Thanks

    Hi .
In order to reinstall Mavericks, you have to use OS X Recovery. Not re downoad Mavericks from the App Store.
Startup your Mac while holding down the Command + R keys.
From there you should be able to access the built in utilities to reinsstall OS X.
Read prior to reinstalling >  About OS X Recovery
Make sure to backup all your important data prior to reinstalling OS X.

I'm running Windows 8 Pro (RTM -> TechNet). Everything seemed OK the first day of use. Now onto the next day, I can't "Sign In" to any of the Xbox Apps and the Bing Weather app doesn't update its Live Tile with local weather. Other tiles/apps like Finance

I am able to sign-in to the SkyDrive App without issue, and the Store App works fine as well. I have tried uninstalling Games, Music, and Video apps and reinstalling to correct the issue, no dice.
My Microsoft Account still signs into this site, my regular Xbox, iPad Xbox App, and Windows Phone just fine. What is up with Windows 8? Thanks in advance.

It appears to end up having been a time sync issue. I must have only been off a couple of seconds?!? I decided to try Armed! and it reported a difference in Time when creating my profile for the game and I was like.. hmmm. So I went ahead and hit Internet
Time settings (under Date and Time in Control Panel) and did a Update Now with time.windows.com. I am now able to login on all the apps I was having issues with before where it was stuck at "Signing In".

    Yes, It works.
    Solution:
    1. Exit and uninstall skype completely.
    2. Remove all other settings and data from "C:\Users\admin\AppData\Roaming\Skype\"
    3. Restart Computer
    4. Download latest version of skype and install it again.
There was some issue with existing settings saved in AppData Skype directory. When deleted, it reset everything and new installtion setup it again with default settings.

  • Stuck on signing in for Version 6.21

my skype just randomly stopped working on monday night after i got home from school, i tried to log in but it just froze on signing in. it worked fine on sunday. so now ive been running scans to see if it could be other problems but now it just stuck on signing in and it wont do anything else.

Try to reset all Skype settings.
Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata% and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old.
Next go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %temp%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. Delete the DbTemp folder.
    Restart Skype.
N.B. If needed, you will still be able to re-establish your call and chat history. All data is still saved in the Skype_old folder.

  • HBO GO stuck on sign in

When I go to log in to HBO GO the sign in screen gets stuck on "Signing in..." and does not progress at all. I have tried it on several different browsers and computers. I was able to log in during the month of June, but when I went to sign in during July I was unable to.

Well, when I do it (and I am using chrome Version 36.0.1985.125 m) I do the following with pretty good success.
    I go to www.verizon.com/fiostvonline
I log in, and navigate to HBO GO and select GoT
and it plays right there on the vz website.
    http://entertainment.verizon.com/tv/3/player/vendor/HBO/player/embedded/asset/16186581/
double check or try it with the latest version of chrome.

  • HP Pavilion all in one starts but stuck on sign on page

    Hi,
I bought this at Best Buy and it didn't come with a recovery disk or manual.  I am having a problem with it staying stuck on the Sign On Page.  I put in my password and it will stay on "think" mode and not let me into the system.  What do you suggest? I know there isn't anything wrong with the password as I can get into other computers in the home with it.  I have tried shutting it down and re-starting it as well and get the same problem.

  • Stuck on signing in on Windows 8.1

  • Skype stuck on "signing in..."

I've been having a problem that seems to be a common issue on the forums for many Skype users.  My Skype just stays stuck on the blue "Signing in..." screen whenever I try to log on, with the white circle just continuously spinning.  For me the issue started about a month to a month and a half ago. I am running Windows Vista with the most updated version of Skype.   My Internet Explorer is 9.0.8112.16540 Can anyone help?

    1)  You can try the following:1. Open Run command (pressWin+R buttons) and in the window copy/paste:%localAppData%\Skype\Apps\and hit Enter. Location will be opened in File Explorer.2. Delete everything from that folder.3. Quit and restart Skype. Skype login window should be displayed correctly allowing you to enter your Skype credentials PLUS 2) Try now this: Go to Windows Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right click on Command Prompt, select 'Run as administrator'. The Command Prompt window should show: C:\Windows\System32> If this is not the case, then in the Command Prompt type:  cd c:\windows\system32 and press Enter. Type this and then press Enter: regsvr32  jscript.dll Next type this and press Enter: regsvr32  jscript9.dll After each Enter you should receive a message saying that DllRegisterServer in XXX.dll succeeded. Reboot your computer. Make now the test showing if your Internet Explorer can execute JavaScript. Open in your Internet Explorer (no other browser but only IE) this page: http://www.mistered.us/test/alert.shtml Click on the “Simply Click This Button” button and watch the response. I DID THIS 2 THINGS, this helped me.
    TRY IT ! ! !  100% WORKED FOR ME.

  • Stuck on "signing in..." frozen there

My daughter just received her brand new iPod Touch 4th generation, 16 GB yesterday. While we were working through the set-up process, after I had typed in the correct Apple ID and password, the iPod became stuck on the Apple ID and Password page and keeps grinding away there with the message "Signing in..." When it goes to sleep, and we turn it back on, it's still stuck right there.  I can't get it to clear the message or navigate away from that page.  SOOOOOO disenchanted with Apple right now that it isn't even funny.  My daughter worked so hard to save her money for this, and she SHOULD have been able to use this when it arrived yesterday, but thanks to this glitch she couldn't.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • Sign-In Troubles - Stuck on Sign-In

For the past few months now, my Skype's been having the commonly-reported issue of getting stuck at the sign-in screen, where the white circle goes over and over. With the update to the new version, I was hoping the issue would resolve, but it has not. The swirling animation just plays for a good ten minutes or so, then stops with an error message that simply says it can't sign in.
I've been browsing the forums for hours now. I've tried just about every solution I could find:
    Uninstalling Skype, and the re-installing
Uninstalling, then re-installing with the MSI downloader
    Deleting the temp files
Completely deleting everything related to Skype manually, then re-installing [both standard and MSI]
Uninstalling and r-installing Java [That was having issues as well, not allowing me to update tot he latest version]
Making exceptions for both public and private networks on my Windows Firewall and Avast! Antivirus
I attemtped, but failed, to downgrade IE to IE9 [the instructions I've been finding were either innaccurate, too complicated, or flat-out didn't work]
I've tried just about everything I've seen suggested, from the most populat solutions to some obscure ones that did nothing for me as well.
I run Windows 7 on an HP Pavilion g-series laptop.
I've been at this for hours, actively trying to fix the issue, and the issue itself has been going on for months now. Even with the newest update, nothing's changed.
Aside from what I listed above, have there been any more ways to fix this problem? It's pretty ridiculous, in my opinion, that so many different things have worked with some people and not with others. How flawed is the program itself?
I just want to be able to get back to talking to my friends and family and playing game son call with them, who I can only contact via Skype, and not just on my iPhone.

  • Skype stuck on signing in until I restart PC

Alright, many people have made threads like this before but I usually have a somewhat different(?) problem than others.
When I boot up my computer I turn on Skype, and I put in my info and what not to sign in, but it usually has a 50/50 chance of signing in. It either gets stuck at a log in screen and I have to reboot for it to work, or It works and I am good for the day. If someone could actively help me with this issue then that would be greatly appreciated.
I hope you all have a great day!

Please,  run the DirectX diagnostics tool. Go to Windows Start  and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post. Be aware that you will have to zip this file before attaching it here.

  • Stuck on "Signing in..." have tried everything I c...

The last time I was able to log on skype was a week ago when I left my house to go to the hospital for a procedure. I spent a few days away from home, not logged into skype, and when I returned home today I found that I was unable to log in on the same computer that I was using before I went to the hospital. It is stuck on the "signing in..." screen.
Things that make this different from other threads that I was able to find:
The computer was offline for several days preceding the inability to log on
The three other computers in my appartment are able to log onto skype just fine
Things that I have tried to fix the problem:
I have tried clearing the appdata and temp files and doing a clean reinstall
I have disabled all of my firewalls and antivirus (Webroot)
I have made sure that my version of skype and Windows is up to date
The only antivirus this computer has had on it to my knowledge is Webroot (so no McAfee or Norton or some other such nonsense could be causing the problem).
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit. Please let me know what other information I can provide that might help find a solution.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I was able to find the solution after some digging through failed solutions in another thread. I had been using a VPN to access Skype and didn't realize that the problem had started when I stopped using the VPN because of the timing of my hosiptal visit.
The working solution was to download and run the program here.
This program finds the windows registry settings changed by the VPN and reverts them. The above link was found here.
Here are a couple other solutions that did not work for me but I will include them for the sake of completeness for other people having this issue:
in the command prompt, type "ipconfig \flushdns" and press enter to refresh the dns cache
restart your computer in safe mode with networking, log into skype, then reboot normally

  • Mac App Store Stuck - Cannot Sign In

    Hello,
    I've recently upgraded my Mac OS X from 10.6.2 to 10.6.6 .
Now the App Store is installed and shown in my dock , but I can't use it because it cannot connect to iTunes Store .
When I open the Mac App Store , "Connecting to iTunes Store ..." appears after a few seconds but it really does not do any other actions .
The main problem is that I can't even sign in with my Apple ID . When I click "Sign In" from the "Store" menu , the login form appears . After entering my Apple ID and password , the loading icon appears , and the applications sticks in this situation ( nothing happens after that ) .
Maybe I should notice a few things :
    * I'm sure that I have an active Internet Connection and there's no problem with it .
    * I'm not using FruitMenu and similar applications ( which makes problems for App Store and are already discussed in similar topics )
    * I'm not using any firewall or something similar that prevent app store from any connections .
    * I already tried opening iTunes manually ( as described before ) but nothing changed .
    * I tried signing in with other Apple IDs and the same error occurred .
    * I can use my Apple ID in iTunes Store , Apple Developer Section , ... without any errors .
    * I'm sure that I'm not making mistake in entering ID and Password .
    * I was monitoring my network activity and I found out that no request or packet is being sent by App Store application through Internet ( after the application sticks in that situations )
    * I quitted every other apps while doing this , but nothing changed .
    * I'm using iTunes 10.1.2 and App Store 1.0 (54)
Any ideas and helps are really appreciated ... ( I really need this )
    Thank You

    Do you repair permissions ever?
    Try downloading the Mac OS X 10.6.6 Combo and manually applying it;
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1349
I would repair permissions before and after the installation.
Also you could use iTunes to sign into your account and reset all notifications in your account info section. After opening the iTunes Store click your Apple ID in the upper right, enter your password and view account. At the bottom of the page you will find the reset button.
