Stuck with a number attached to a Microsoft accoun...
We have a Microsoft Account and then we purchased a Skype Number. Because we have a Microsoft Account we can't use a DECT phone with Skype function because the username (which starts live isn't accepted.
This means we're stuck using the PC connection for incoming calls and not a real phone as we'd planned. All of our literature has the Skype Number on it, but I'm starting to think we'll have to ditch the Skype number unless we can transfer it to a proper Skype account.

Strange Crosshair with a Number Attached
So lately, there's this annoying reticle or crosshair with a number attached to it, that does not move or go away. I don't know how it got there, or where it's from. It appears when I use most tools, with the exception of the move tool, marquee tools, lasso tools, magic wand, and crop tool. This only happens to this particular document.
In the past, those numbers have appeared before, sometimes creating a 2 and 3 as well across my document, but they went away. This time, however, it's been there for a long time.
Any clue as to what it is, what it does, and how to take it out?Colour Sampler tool (behind the Eye dropper. You stamp it down on a colour you are interested in, and it shows the colour values in the Info panel. You can have up to four of them on any image. They are a bugger to delete. The shortcut is Shift Alt click on them, but I have to kind of sneal up on them, hold down Shift and Alt, then press and release the Ctrl key. Then I see the scissors and can delete them.
I guess it is a use ful tool _if_ you want the numbers for a colour and want to know its location, but what a lot of people do, is make a colour palette on the image they can sample from. You obviously place it on its own layer, and with the brush tool selected, you can Alt click to select one of those colours. If the palette is in the way, you have to select its layer, and hold down the Ctrl key to 'spring load' the move tool. Or you can temporarily select the Move tool, and click on Auto Select in the Options bar. Then go back to the brush tool, and so long as you place your cursor over the palette, the Ctrl key will auto select the palette layer, and return to your painting layer and the brush tool when you release the Ctrl key.
But no such thing as a free lunch, as they say. Auto-select can be a PITA especially if working in a group of layers.

Do you have to have a phone number attached to iphone 4 verizon to get past the activation screen?
I got an iPhone 4 32gb off of ebay, I do not have it yet. what made me buy it was that it said that it was a unlocked 32gb iphone 4 for $44.99 stuck in a boot loop, I googled that and seen as easy fix got excited then I ordered and paid for it and it is on its way. then I was just looking at the photos again a few minutes ago then noticed that in the one photo there is NO SIM slot, then I said hahaha that is not unlocked as it is a CDMA, then figured that it is a Verizon iPhone so now I am needing to know if one can get past that activation screen if the iPhone does not have a phone number?
I too have no idea what version iOS is on it. I do know it is a CDMA as it does not have the SIM SLOT on the side of the phone.
I do not know if Sprint iPhone 4 is without a SIM slot or even if they use the iPhone 4 on Sprint so it has to be a Verizon then yes?
reguadless the question remaines the same, does it ( a CDMA) have to have a phone number attached to it in order to get it to work using everything on the phone besides the phone part ie making Phone calls and texting?as I stated I have NOT recived it in the mail yet, I discovered that it is a CDMA by looking at the pictures again. as just moments before I was reseacring the psychial differences between an iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s and it showed and said that the major way to tell the difference is them cuts in the band on the phone where iPhone 4 has one on top and the iPhone 4s does not, the iPhone 4s has four cuts in it two on each side so when I seen the picture of the top of the iPhone and seen that it did NOT have a cut in the band on top I said to myself wow they miss that it is an iPh9one 4s and not just an iPh9one 4, so I googled how to fix a boot loop and found the answer more then once being the same answer so I bought it.

so I got that iPhone 4 16 GB for under 100 dollars in good working order and looks off of ebay just about a week or so before then found that I cannot get it unloceked due to that new law that was passed about unlocking phones. so now I am in comminications with AT&T getting the old run around about getting a stright answer out of them if I keep it ( a second hand phone) on there gophone plan for 6 months can I then get it unlocked, question to them and get an answer that does not state a yes or no as it is a yes or no question.
but so yeah I am to get that iPhone 4 32GB ph9one in the mail on firday(tomorrow) I do want to open it and see if I can get it out of the boot loop just to see if I can and I may just keep it for an ipod use that is way I am wondering if I got a have it attached to a carrier to activate it in case I restore it at any time. -

It sounds like your iCloud Apple ID has a phone number associated with it that you would like to update. If this is the case, after signing in to the linked website below, you will see a section on the left side of the screen labeled Phone Numbers. You can edit the phone number associated with that account from there.

Is there a way to send a message with a photo attached using imessages. I am not able to send a photo to one of my contacts because I am sending the contact a message text messages. I don't want to send contacts text messages. I want to send them iMessages.

Have your brother create a contact in his phone for himself. Inside his own contact, have him add his phone number and his iCloud address.
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive Have your brother select both his phone number and email addresses where he would like to receive iMessages. -
I have lightroom 5 with 5.7 verson updated. I use windows. My problem is with the spot healer or remover in the develop. It worked perfectly for a while and then suddenly the other circle with a line attached to it where you can move it to a better spot stopped showing up. I uninstalled the software and re installed it again but it didn't fix the problem and its still the same. Help please.

Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Compare with the iPod that does work/connect.
I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1

Replication of BP linked with Customer number from R/3 to CRM

We are trying to replicate BP linked with the customer number.
In R/3 when a BP is created automatically a customer is created for this BP (due to activation of synchrozination- BP -->Customer ) with different numbers and is available in the customer-general data tab of the BP in the field - Customer number.
Both BP and Customer are having different numbers this needs to be replicated to crm as a BP with the Customer number appearing in the Identificatio tab as R/3 customer number (identification type).
Example - A BP with number-100 is created then automatically a customer with number 2000 is attached to this BP -100. The same needs to be replicated to CRM. Both BP and customer shud have same GUID.
With the settings that is done now two records are getting created seperately one with BP number and other with customer number based on settings in PIDE.
How can we configure this?

I think you are using some IS component in ECC. Hope you are using BUPA_MAIN and BUPA_REL objects for downloading BP's to CRM. In PIDE you do not need to maintain mapping for customer. -
Stuck with Foreground and Background processing in Workflow
Hi All,
I have a BDC that is acting as a method in the Business Object. The requirement is something like this: The scenario is in the Utilities System. When a customer pays a security deposit a PM (Plant Maintanence) Service Order has to get created automatically in the background. I have a BDC for creating the Service Order but the thing is that if I make that task which runs the BDC as foreground and give the agent assignment it works absolutely fine and the service order gets generated, but if I make the same task as background the Service Order does not get created. I am heavily stuck with this issue.
Has anybody encountered the same issue ?

Are you checking for errors after the BDC Call Transaction? What I normally do is to use the Messages into option of the BDC call and return the messages to the Task Container in case of errors.
Reasons why the method does not work in background is possibly due to authorizations or the WF-BATCH user being not known to the PM system. For instance when I create PM notifications in WF in background, I have to translate the WF initiator's user id to their Personnel Number for the Resp. Person field. If in your workflow the prior step to creating order is a dialog step, you can also try the Advance with dialog option on the background step.

I had an iphone 4s and it worked nice with facetime and imessage using my phone number but it was stolen on December so I buy a new iphone 4s using the same cellphone number but now imessage and facetime does not work with my number, it only works with my apple ID. Do you think that apple has to reset in their database of the old serial number attached with my phone number and that’s why I can´t activate imessage and facetime with my number in the new iphone 4s??I understand all of this Meg; that is why I bought an Iphone; but never expected my phone not even give a at least a 24 or even 12 hours....I work 12 hour shifts and also would expect to have to charge each night but not twice a day or more. IMessage and FaceTime not working with phone number.

I've had this issue for days. My iMessage had been linked with my email. So I sign out of "my Apple ID" to enable me select my phone number as my preferred option for use. Unfortunately, I have my former phone number (which does not exist anymore) in grey and not my present phone number. So I'm stuck with my old contact and my email address for iMessage and FaceTime. I have tried toggling iMessage off and on, it keeps me on "waiting for activation" mode, deducts some airtime for SMS charge but still goes back to "iMessage unsuccessful".

Can't print PDF files from Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.3.0 on Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.2) to Brother MFC-7820N Printer (connected via USB). Print queue consistently shows "pstopdffilter/pstocupsraster failed with err number 13".
Steps to reproduce
Launch Acrobat Pro 9.3.0 on Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.2
Open SimpleOnePageDocument.pdf (attached)
From File menu select Print
From Print Dialog select Brother MFC-7820N printer
Click Print Button
Results
Printing immediately fails. Print queue shows "pstopdffilter/pstocupsraster failed with err number 13" (see attached picture)

My printer is a Canon MP610 but this has nothing to do with the printer and it's software. Adobe seems to be completely deaf to this issue which is very annoying as most of the downloaded documents you need to print are pdf nowadays.
I surrounded the issue by copying/pasting the pdf image in a jpeg file... This is very time consuming and I'm still waiting for a proper answer to this bug by Adobe.
Let's continue to write, hoping Adobe will begin to move on the subject... -

Stuck with a "lookup up" question

is there a function to search a column for a particular string, e.g. "*pic1*" (wildcards needed) and if there is a match than just return "pic1"? Somehow it sounds very simple - but right now I´m stuck with it. I tried "lookup" but could not get it to work that way.

I think you could build a formula to do what you are describing starting with COUNTIF(). It can count how many times "*pic1*" shows up in a column and return that number. You could then test that value and return "pic1" (or whatever) if a number value is not enough.
You could also use conditional highlighting on those cells to highlight the cells containing "pic1".
Wayne's request is a good one. You have an idea of how you want to solve a problem but it may not be the simplest or most direct way. As an example, many people come to the forum with a question about IF() and end up using LOOKUP().

That is, if there is a repeated value in any row or column, or if there is an incorrect value (the number 1024 for instance) anywhere, or if any of the constraints is violated isLegal should return false; otherwise it should return true.
-if the puzzle is not legal, getProblems should return a String describing all the things that are wrong with the configuration.
If anyone may help, I will be eternally gratefull.

this is not a programming problem, but it seems that i am stuck with the basic , i am trying to implement my custom PushBufferDataSource and a PushBufferStream, but i am not able to understand that how the read(Buffer buffer) method and the transferHandler thing work..(i.e. when they are called and by whom)
i would be thankful if someone can briefly explain me these things..There are 2 functions on a processor, setMediaTime (start time) and setStopTime(end time) that you can use to make a processor play only a portion of a file and then stop. So, if you use those to make a processor only play part of a file, you can make the datasink attached to the processor only save a portion of the file. No special implementations needed.
Take a look at the API, and play around with it.
