Stucking trackpad movement

Hello everyone.
I just recognised some issues with my trackpad on my MacBook Pro (8.1). The mouse movement is sporadically not very fluent and stops at certain points. Additionally the two finger scrolling shows the same symptoms. My MacBook is not connected to AC-power.
Anyone has a solution?

Totally agree. What's the point on disabling it?! I have woken up my MBP this way for at least 2 years. I MISS THIS FEATURE APPLE!!! Please give it back to us! Terminal command any one?

Stuck on movies

I am trying to attach a file to email, and for some reason the attachment file is stuck on movies. I can not select another option, and don't actually want to attach a movie.
Any ideas help would be much appreciated.

Apple tv stuck loading movie

Down loaded movie and that took about an hour.This a rental.I hit button to play and now stuck on loading and no movement on the progress bar ?
Does the Apple tv store the movie when down loaded ?

Full Screen cancels on trackpad movement

After choosing Full Screen in Messages, any mouse or keyboard movement, moves full screen away.
I have to double click on the camera icon of the other persons's name, to get Full Screen back.
Using Bonjour via ethernet router, on a LAN.
No Wan.

Only the main Messages/Chat window has the diagonal arrows to out it into Full Screen Mode
You can of course use the View Menu > Full Screen Mode or the keystrokes listed (CMD+Control+F)
It cannot be done with Buddy Lists.
Buddy List can be stretched using the bottom right corner to be as tall and after placement to the left, as wide as you want and may look full screen.
The clues are that the Dock and the Menu bar still appear.
Using the green button of the "traffic light" ones top left causes the window to move between "Full Screen" (or rather "full size") and the default size for the Buddy list.
I have no Buddies signed in so it looks smaller than some others.
I have captured part of the Menu bar as reference.
I cannot replicate anything else from your post about the window resizing itself based on mouse movements or any keyboard entry.
Any possibility there is a stuck key ?
In System Preferences > Keyboard enable the "Show Keyboard and Character Viewers in the Menu Bar" option.
Use this Menu item to show keyboard.
You may have one key that is dark all the time

Stuck in .mov file - need MPEG2!

I have a wedding ceremony I filmed, and exported to both a high-def .mov quicktime file, and to an MPEG-2 file with AAC sound. Once both were finalized, I got rid of the capture footage (mistake, I know). Problem is, the MPEG-2/AAC files somehow were corrupted so I have to trash them. So now all I have is the high-def .mov file, and I need to get it into mpeg-2/aac. MPEG Streamclip grays out the demux option, for some reason. I think that's because you can only demux from an mpeg-1 or mpeg-2 file. And if I send the .mov file directly back to Compressor, and choose the "DVD - 90 minutes - best quality" option again, it just keeps saying time remaining: --:--:--. Like it's stuck. So then I imported the .mov into an FCP7 sequence, and did a "Send to Compressor" from there. Same result. I really need to convert this to mpeg2! Any help is appreciated.

Ok, this is a little embarrassing, but I guess we all have to learn somehow. Apparently even if the "time remaining" in compressor gives a blank, it may still be running. Even if you click on the drop down arrow for more results and your jobs say "waiting". I opened up batch monitor and viewed it from there. Everything seemed to be running fine. Not sure why everything was working differently than normal, but I'm just glad to have an answer - thought I'd pass it along!

Stuck trackpad button on Macbook Pro late 2011?

I have been experience some problemas lately with My Macbook Pro late 2011, which I bough in december 2011. The problem now is that the trackpad button seems to be like stuck, when you try touse the click not just the tap, the button seems to be down, I heard the problem mit be the battery or overheating, which is weird, because personally I believe i'm a great owner and take well care of my MBP.
Normally I solved any trouble related to hardware of software but this one seems to weird to me, so there's anyone know if theres something I can do, or should I take it to the Apple Store?? The thing is that I want to avoid the Apple Store because I work every single day with my computer and I need it, so It would be a big problem for me not to have it with me.
Other fact is that usually I take a Wireless magic mouse with me and a Wireless keyboard, so the computer hardware on keyboard and trackpad is practically new, but doesnt mean i dont use ít either... Help!!

If you're having trouble 'clicking' using the trackpad, you really need to take your unit into your local Apple Store for service. It might be something minor. But the trackpad is one of the most delicate pieces of your computer and it should be working.

Is my stuck trackpad covered under Apple Care?

I spilled food on my trackpad last night and now it's stuck! Is this covered under Apple Care? I know water is not but I'm not sure if food has the same policy.

Change Magic Trackpad move cursor, select functions

I just got a Magic Trackpad for my iMac and it's great but... it's too sensitive to my admittedly heady-handed use. Can I separate the single-finger cursor movement function from the "touch and click" selection function so I can move the cursor but need a specific (two-finger?) touch/tap for selection?

Nope, the magic trackpad doesn't do this. That's the problem.
Huh, how odd. Mine does. Did Apple change the Magic Trackpad since I bought mine? Or maybe yours is defective?
The press-down-till-click is also used in either the left or right bottom corner to activate a right-click. Chosen in the trackpad preferences. Though I've gotten used to the two-finger tap for that instead.

Stuck on Move Tool

I'm am attempting to edit a multitrack project into which I imported a stereo .wav file. I had been editing the .wav file as a simple audio file but I imported into the multitrack so that I could add more tracks. However, now SB is stuck on the Move Tool. It WILL NOT let me use any other tools in the tool bar. I cannot finish editing! What is going on!?!

This JUST happened to me as well. SO annoying!!!! But however I did find a workaround.
First let me address my problem...
When I start a new flash file (doesn't matter what version, AS2, AS3, whatever..) the default stage settings are incorrect...590x300, the actual stage is stuck in the upper left hand corner...and if I import a picture or make a new object...it's cut off at the edges of the canvas.
The main problem with the stage is the Pasteboard setting. ...Somehow it's become unchecked by default.
To Fix this:
- Go to the View menu and make sure the Pasteboard setting is checked.
But you'll still notice when you start a new file that the ANNOYING characteristics mentioned above are still there (pasteboard unchecked, stage size wrong, etc).
So as a workaround I created my own template with the pasteboard checked and with the correct default stage size.
I about had a meltdown trying to fix this considering how much it was hampering my ability to work! I'm still looking to fix this completely and I'll let you know when I do. I fear I may just have to uninstall/re-install Flash...but I'd rather figure why it happened to begin with.

Stuck on movie screen in apple tv - help!

I can view the entire opening screen for Apple TV - but the remote won't permit me to click on anything but movies...I can't access Itunes, and other applications other than movies. I reset the box - didn't fix the problem. help.

You need to select "MacintoshHD 10.5.8 not "disc image" in order to run Disk Utility and Verify and if necessary, Repair the disk.
That's why you are seeing this dialog.
