I wanted to buy the Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Student and Teacher Edition which I would be eligible to buy
but as it seems, the Paypal option in the adobe store doesn´t seem to work.
I already contacted the customer service "Kundendienst" but they told me that they don´t offer paypal - odd because as you can see it is on their own site..?
Since I don´t own a creditcard nor do I ever want one *, I also asked for a secure and good payment method called "Lastschriftverfahren" so I could easily give adobe money from my bank.

like being forced to stay of photoshop just because a hacker again compromised the adobe servers.
I would be actually glad to give money to adobe but what would be a possible way now?
there are alternatives like Photoline, Corel and so on but I would love to try it with Adobe first.

Putting Photoshop CS6 Student and Teacher Edition on a second computer

So I just got a new computer because the old one got a lovely looking crack in it.
I purchased Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Student and Teacher Edition a couple of months ago.
I want to know how to put it on this computer.
Also, info on how to do the same with After Effects CC would be helpful as well.

JBoss1995 did you receive the software on DVD? If so then you will want to insert the DVD into your computer and begin the installation process. To obtain your serial number please review the documentation given to you with your purchase. Depending upon which country/region you are in and where you purchased the software the method to obtain your serial number will be different. I would encourage you your use the e-mail address associated with your educational institution to decrease the eligibility verification period.

My daughter just took a photography class at her H.S. and used Photoshop in that class. How close would anybody guess that Photoshop CS6 Extended Student and Teacher Edition is to what she used. I don't know the version of what she used.....

You can check the version of Photoshop by launching it, and selecting 'About Photoshop' from the 'Help' Menu at the top.

i would like to know what is the difference between Adove photoshop cs6(normal) and Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Student And Teacher Edition wich is available for around 120 to 165 $ on online shops.

The educational package is the same.
Extended has 3D capibility. Will not work with Windows XP or video card with less than 512 meg of VRAM.

You can do licensed install on two systems same platform(Win or Mac). This depends for which platform you bought the SN for.

I bought cs6 student and teacher edition, but it says in the instruction if i wanted to install it in mac, i should click the install.app.

but the dvd only got set-up.exe (only for windows)??? how can i install it to mac?

I downloaded Photoshop Extended CS6 Student and Teacher Edition from Amazon yesterday and I have not recieved a serial number via e-mail. I also went onto Adobe.com and they do not show any recent purchases of their product. How do I get my serial number?

Also since you purchased the software from Amazon.com you will not see a listing on Adobe.com for your purchase.

I bought Photoshop CS5 Extended Student and Teacher Edition a few years ago. Now I want to upgrade to CS6 Extended. Is there any chance to do this without buying Photoshop CS6 Extended new? I don't want to subscribe to the Creative Cloud. I just want to buy an upgrade. If there is one, please tell me, where I can find it.

There are no upgrades from educational vesion to educational version at the new version is cheaper than then upgrade price.

Where's The CS6 Complimentary Upgrade for The Student and Teacher Editions?

I bought the student and teacher edition of CS5.5 Design Premium a couple of weeks ago and got the email telling me how to get my complimentary upgrade to cs6 a few days ago. When I went on to adobe.com to look up the pricing for the student and teacher editions of the cs6 programs, there is no upgrade option (the only price shown says "Full from 449.00"). When I looked up pricing for the non-student and teacher editions, the upgrade option is there.
Are the upgrades for Student and Teacher Editions not available yet? Is there anybody else who bought the Student and Teacher Editions having this issue, or is it just me?

I talked with someone from Adobe earlier and they told me that I cant upgrade to another student and teacher edition but I can upgrade to a retail version still at no cost. They also sent me a link to a page telling me more about how to claim the upgrade, and the page mentions a "coupon code" that I have to enter during checkout.

The email didnt include a coupon code, and I followed the steps but the price remains at the regular upgrade price. I read on the "how to claim" page the associate showed me that I would be getting a code no later than May 31st. Hi I was wonder can I still purchase Adobe CS6 Master Collection Student and Teacher Edition? As I am a student and I don't have the money to purchase the the full software for 2 grand. Also I don't want to get the creative cloud as I don't want to be paying say 250 dollars a year for the software.
Another question is how many devices can I have the software on? As I have a desktop which I will use for heavy work, and a laptop for light work.

Hi, I have an i-mac 27" bought in 2010 OSX 10.6.8. Yesterday I couldn't open the software PS CS6 (extended student and teacher edition) anymore - that I have bought on May23, 2014 and dowloaded from internet. (I don't want a I-cloud version).

Your Mac should certainly be able to boot 64 bit. Just to test, restart and hold down the 6 and 4 keys. Then check the System Profiler to see if the 64-bit Kernel and Extensions says "Yes".
Yet, when I look in my Activity Monitor, I see Intel (64-bit) under "Kind" running for almost all the processes except for a couple.
That's normal. The kernel can boot 32 or 64 bit. But all 64 bit software, system or third party, can still run 64 bit under a 32 bit kernel.
Also, does enabling 64-bit mode have any effect on Rosetta?
No.
Is there any disadvantage to running in 64-bit mode (ie: will certain things not work)?
Not really. The only real issue is drivers that must load during startup. If they're 32 bit only, they won't load if you start up to a 64 bit kernel. You would then be unable to use the device the driver is for.
Here's the configuration file approach for always booting into 64-bit. This is the best way to make your Mac always start up 64 bit as the only thing necessary is to alter one line of a configuration file. You can do that by opening the Terminal and entering (or copy the next line and paste in into Terminal):
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot 'Kernel Flags' 'arch=x86_64'
To return to 32 bit mode, you would repeat the command but enter an empty string, which would just be the single quotes (where arch=x86_64 is in the above command) with nothing in between.
sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot 'Kernel Flags' ''
