Student discount email

My son has tried to sign up several times for the student discount and never gets the email back from BestBuy. He has checked his spam folder and his email is a .edu email from an accredited college in NYC. We have called customer service also for help but they don't know what to do about this, and we get placed on terminal hold after passing us around to various reps. He is a computer/network engineering major so you can imagine he pretty much has ruled out anything he can control on his end. Please help!

    I signed up to get the College Student Discount Email but when I Received it , it wasan Expired coupon. It expired 5-03-14 and I signed up on 5-04-14.     The college deals page is currently unavailable until December 7th. The coupon valid dates are 11/2-11/19 and 12/7-1/3 so they do not apply to Black Friday or Cyber Week sales.

  • Spotify Student Discount after email change

    I started my Spotify Premium account with the 3 months for $0.99, but when I originally made my account I used a personal email rather than my university one. The 3 month trial ends on the 16th of this month, and I just changed my email address to my university one. How can I make sure that I get charged with the student discount rather than pay the full $9.99 a month for premium?

  • Student Discount Code Not Received after 24 hours of confirming my email

    I signed up for a Student Discount with my .edu email account and got an email within a few minutes asking me to confirm my email address. Its been over 24 hours since I confirmed my email and I still haven't received the discount code. I have also:
    - checked the spam / trash / junk folders of my email
    - checked with the IT admin that the email wasn't blocked
    Please help!

  • Still haven't received student discount verification email.

    It's been about 48 hours since I provided my .edu address,  my spam filter is not blocking best buy, and I've received other emails from best buy in the meantime.  I tried providing the address again, but still nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

    Some schools have been blocking these College Student Deals emails as they do come from a different email address than the standard promotional emails you have received. You may talk with your IT department from your school and reference [email protected] as the sending address. They should be able to tell you whether or not their filtration system would block this sender.   • Student Discount, Double Charges, and Mediocre Support

    I have been using spotify for quite some time now. I have paid my fair share of 9.99/mo, and quite frankly, I don't mind paying money to avoid someone or something blaring obnoxiously in my ear every 45 seconds. The one thing that did, and still does, irk me beyond words was when I attempted to sign up for the $4.99/mo deal for twelve months, I was not given the 4.99 rate for a full twelve months...but that was a while ago, and I had since gotten over it...until... Today I attempted to renew the 12 month $4.99 deal and was not only charged once, but twice; both charges appear on my bank statement and not at all on my Spotify Account Receipts. It gets better, though...I wasn't even given the promised upgraded features, and after reading some fine print (lovely) I noticed that I could reuse this offer 4 times (just as long as I am still enrolled in my accredited university, which I am). So, after realizing that Spotify doesn't have a support number, but rather a bulletin board and more-or-less a system to send complaints to, here I am, posting, hoping that I can get reimbursed the money I was charged. Thanks,A very frustrated customer.

    You need to first cancel your current Premium, and once you revert back to Free, you may resubscribe to the student discount.
    Now for the refund, you might want to contact support directly here so they can help you. Keep in mind they will decide your eligibility for the refund.
    If you receive an automated email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address.
    Support usually answers within 24-48 hours.

    I had student discount, but back in May I started getting charged $10 a month.  When I try to resign up for the student discount, it says that it's unavailable for my account at this time.  What do I need to do to get my student discount back?   • Having problem getting the student deals email for Microsoft Office. Please help.

    I tried to sign up for the college deals to receive a student discount on Microsoft Office Mac 2011. I was told to buy it now full price, go home, & wait for Best Buy to email the code and I could bring it in & they'd refund the difference. Was assured that a code existed. Found out my school offers it for 50% less than you charge but I can't return it. Your staff is hilariously unaware of how to deliver answers or results that right this situation. Please fix this situation. We're talking about a 50% difference here and I was simply doing as instructed by the brick and mortar folks as well as the phone 'support'.

    While our store associates were correct in that we cannot return opened software in accordance with our Return and Exchange Promise, I’m a little confused about your situation, as our current offers do not include any sort of discount for Microsoft Office software purchases (offers found here).     I am planning on purchasing the 13 inch mac book pro. I want to take advanatge of the student discount to save $100. Since this Macbook is on sale for $60 off, is the savings combined, or just the $100?
    Also, if I use my school email (for the code) and ID but my parents buy it (card in their name) does this affect anything?

    Its the sale price plus $100 off.
    An issue might come up with you paying with a parents cc. Technically your name has to be on the card, but if the cc is signed on the back the cashier isnt supposed to check id (or isnt required to) so you should be fine if it is.
    I used to work for Best Buy as an Apple Specialist, but all my comments, posts and opinions are my own and do not in anyway reflect Best Buy. Mostly because I think the exact opposite as Best Buy anyway

  • Student discount has disappeared

    I have always paid for spotify at half price (in the UK) by using my NUS extra card. The card is still in date and I'm still a student but I have started being charged full price subscription again. There is no option to change my payment details and add the student card and when I go to the student subscription page it redirects me as I am 'not eligible for this discount'? Doesn't seem to make sense to me. Want to go back to paying half price without cancelling my subscription and restarting it again if possible.

    The student discount lasts one year before it expires. After it expires you should be able to renew it from the student discount page.

  • STUDENT DISCOUNT HELP

    HELP I have signed up at Best Buy for student discount because I need a new laptop for college and I am yet to recieve my student discount coupon. I have signed up many times earlier this week and the past couple of days and recieved many confimation email but I am yet to recieve a coupon. I checked my junk mail and checked with the school if promotional emails are blocked, they are not. I have called customer support many times, however I have not recieved any help or answers as to why I am not recieving the coupon. Is there anything you can do to make this process go by faster? I am extremely frustrated at this point and will NEVER depend on Best Buy again because as a student my life moves quickly and I don't have time to sit around and wait for a discount they should give at the store with ID verification.

    Best Buy's College Student Deals are a great way to get products that you need for school at really great prices. I was happy to read that you wish to avail yourself of the offers, but dismayed to hear that you have not yet received your coupons after numerous registrations. I very much regret that this has been your experience.
    You mentioned that you've received several confirmation emails. Did you follow the instructions in one of them to confirm your email address? Without this step, the coupons will not be issued.
    The latest College Student Deals coupon message is under the subject line, "Prep for Campus: $150 off select Surface Pro 3." When you open the message, click on the button that says "See the deals" to get your coupons.

    I am still a student and have a valid student email address, but last month was charged $9.99 so I checked my account and it had removed my student discount and is now telling me I am not eligible for the discount. Help me I'm poor!

One of the most common reasons for this occurance is there's been a change in your location, either in your profile settings as a free user, or in your payment information as a premium user. Could you make sure that all of your details are set to the same country for which your trying to get your student discount through (US/UK/DE)? 
    If that's all squared away as it should be, then:
    Has it been about a year since you first signed up for the student discount? 
    Exactly what does it say when you try to re-apply for the discount?
    Which country's discount are you applying for?
    If you could let me know the answers to these, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    I am unsure on how to re-upgrade my account. I was previously using the student discount until I recently realized that I was charged $9.99. I emailed Spotify to inquire about how I could still be granted the student discount. I was then told by them that I simply need to re-upgrade my premium subscription to the student discount at anytime. I am not sure how to do this because I receive the message, "It appears that you are not eligible for the discounted product that you are trying to purchase. If you'd like you can still upgrade your account to premium at any time." I was hoping someone could give me simple step by step directions as to how I re-upgrade my account to receive the student discount. Thank you!
