Hi everyone, I know this is unrelated, but I didn't know where else to post this and the iBook boards have helped me the most in my past questions so.... Anyway, I'm soon to purchase my first iPod and iBook G4 and I'm having a problem with my school. See I was accepted to a school that I applied to this previous spring and now I've also been accepted to a different school (which is the one I plan on attending). When I created my AppleID I put the first school in as my college, and now I'm wondering how I can change that to the school I actually plan on attending. Any assistance would be much appreciated and like I said before I know this is irrelevant to any other topic, but I didn't know where else to go.

If you can't change in on the Apple site, open your browser's preferences and delete any cookies from Apple. When you visit the site again you will be able to enter the other school.

I'm going to be a university student in the fall. While I have a .edu address, I do not get my student ID until school startsl. Can I still get this discount? Should I just bring my college acceptance letter and my highschool ID?

Questions about Student Discounts for CS6

I know for a fact I want to get the CS6 Production Premium from B&H, but only recently did I realize that my media production class could potentially make me eligible for a student discount. I have a few questions regarding getting a student discount as I have never gotten one before.
My first question is: will I ever have to pay the rest of the full price? Or more importantly, will the student version stop working after a period of time?
My second and most important question is about installing on more than 1 PC. I'm currently on my beast of a laptop. The iMac at my school with CS6 runs smooth as butter, and it's lower spec than my laptop. Despite this, I plan on getting a monster desktop PC in the future for my productions, and I'm confused about my rights of installation with a student copy. I fully understand that I cannot install it on another persion's computer; only on my own computer. It mentions (for teacher's I assume) that you need to purchase additional licenses for installing on other computers. Does this mean that when I buy a new computer, I need to buy a new license as well? Or can I just use the one that came in the box?

Your license doesn't expire and you never have to pay the price difference.You can only install the suite on one type of computer, even if you have 2 activations. A PC serial won't work on Mac and vice versa. Only 2 PC installs will work or 2 Mac ones, respectively. Activations can be managed from within the apps or by giving customer support a call to reset them, if you used them up and forgot to deactivate.

Question about Apple's Student Discount

Has Apple always given a student discount the past few years? I don't want to wait for the new OS if there won't be a discount and a free printer and iPod.

Question about Student Discount

To get the student discount, does college need to have already begun? Because I have been having trouble getting the student discount even though I am already enrolled in NAU. When just saying what college I am going to didn't work, I had to verify by sending my acceptance letter. And that didn't work. So can I only get it once college has actually started?

What's the error message you are receiving? If you're currently a Spotify Premium customer, you have to wait until your account reverts back to Spotify Free before the discount can be applied.

Am I still eligible for a student discount if my college grants degrees requiring not less than the equivalent of two years of full-time study but my program is less than two years in duration?

Is there a student discount for Photoshop CS6?

I am slightly confused about this, looking for an answer on my own I went through this process:
I found the page for the Creative Suite 6 Products, and on the right side it says "CS6 or Creative Cloud? If you want all-new versions of your favorite creative software — including Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC — join Creative Cloud. If you prefer the previous version, CS6, you can purchase it here. For upgrade eligibility and purchasing options, see the Creative Suite 6 FAQ."
So, I went to the Creative Suite 6 FAQ, where I saw the question, "Does Adobe offer education discounts?" with the answer, "Yes. Qualifying full- or part-time students, faculty, and staff of accredited educational institutions can purchase Adobe products at a reduced price." So, I poked around on the checkout page for Adobe Photoshop CS6, but there seemed to be no way to apply an education discount. I then clicked the Purchasing FAQ link on the checkout page, next the Education FAQ link, and from there the student and teacher product catalog under purchase options, but Creative Suite 6 is not listed in any form. The only options presented on the page are Creative Cloud Membership, Photoshop CC, Photoshop Lightroom, Creative Cloud Photography Plan, Photoshop Elements 13 & Adobe Premiere Elements 13, and Photoshop Elements 13.
Is there another spot with other student discounts, is the CS6 FAQ misleading and there's not really a student discount for CS6, or am I missing something else?

Student discounts are only available for college and university students. Proof of enrollment is required when you place your order. So, yes, you will have to wait until you have officially enrolled in a university or college.

We are not Apple, just end-usrs like you so cannot speak with authrity about Apple policies. However this Apple site covers educational purchases. Links therein will show terms and conditions:

That is from the US store. If that does not answer the question for a UK user, open the UK Apple Store and enter "educational" in the search window. One hit should be "Educational discounts."

Aperture 3 Student Discount

Honestly, this isnt really a question for the general community, but if you know the answer that would be awesome. I'm hoping for an admin to pick up this thred. I've had a lot of trouble going thought customer support to ask an extremely simple question. At the moment, I'm in Italy and I have a decent SLR camera, so with all the pictures I have been taking I was thinking about upgrading to Aperture 3. I was just wondering if I, as a student at a prominent university, could get a discount on the $80.00 cost of aperature? Grazie a tutti.

Upcoming is not a word I'd use with Lion. It won't be out for at least 8-10 months. Most OSX upgrades have been reasonably priced. Snow Leopard was like $30.
And, there is no "upgrade" vs. full version of OSX (although that might change, but I've heard nothing about it).
Basically, you have nothing to worry about, and certainly not anything to complain about. This is not Windows with complex upgrading schemes. Usually Apple provides the upgraded OSX if you buy a new Mac within a few weeks of the upgrade, but they would never offer that after nearly 2 years. And I'm sure there will be a student priced version of Lion.
Your rant, therefore, is a bit illogical.

Spotify Student Discount after email change

I started my Spotify Premium account with the 3 months for $0.99, but when I originally made my account I used a personal email rather than my university one. The 3 month trial ends on the 16th of this month, and I just changed my email address to my university one. How can I make sure that I get charged with the student discount rather than pay the full $9.99 a month for premium?

Hello, Ive been on Spotify Premium for over a year, and I have been using the student discount (bless). However, I am now getting charged for the full $10 for premium. Don't ask about the specifics of Black Friday, because they are probably not allowed to tell you (and may not even know), but just ask if your student discount and any other discount from the Black Friday event can be applied at the same time.

A couple of weeks ago, I signed up for the student discount code with an edu email address and verified my information with the email that was sent from Best Buy afterwards. I have not received the code yet. Is there something else that I need to do? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum! The college student deals coupons are a great way to purchase the technology you need for school. It sounds like you have taken the necessary steps to receive yours.
Usually the new deals coupons are sent around the beginning of the month and expire a few weeks later. It is possible that the coupons for November have expired and you should be receiving the new December student deals. I would suggest waiting until the beginning of December and if you still do not receive them, let me know, and I'll look into how we can get those coupons sent out to you.

Student discount for Osher?

Does enrollment in the University of Utah Osher Lifelong Learning Institute program make one eligible for the student discount on Adobe products?
Osher is a nationwide program for seniors. It is House Bill 60 in Utah. We pay a reduced registration fee to audit classes and receive a U of U ID card.
I tried asking this question in the Adobe chat window, but the person is always helping other customers in line ahead of me. I cannot find a telephone number for Adobe.
