Student Free 1-Year Membership not Applied

Hello!
My name is Patrick Eccles and I am a student at the University of Utah.  I had tried to set up Creative Cloud (for ETLA) with the free 1-year membership Adobe and UofU have partnered to allow for its students.  I have Creative Cloud installed, but the 1-year membership has not bee applied to my account and I am a Free Creative Cloud Member.  I redeemed the code I got from the U, but it hasn't been applied to my account.
Please let me know how I can have the 1-year membership applied to my Creative Cloud account!
Thanks

The University of Utah provides it to students with Adobe Creative Cloud through ETLA.  I tried to acquire it through the U of U.  Now when I try and use my redemption code: [removed] I am notified that the code has already been used.  Did I use it on another account?  Did the code not work when I applied it to my account?
Not having access to the Creative Cloud on my personal computer has been extremely inconvenient.  Please help me get this corrected.

  • Adobe CC year membership not transferred to new computer - How do I get it back?

Earlier this year, I company I worked for bought me a year's subscription to Adobe CC. When got a new computer I wanted to transfer the membership, so I signed out of the desktop app on my old computer and installed it (and signed in) on my new machine. Whilst my premium typekit membership has transferred, I was just offered to start a 30 Day Trial of the programmes rather than showing them as purchased.
I looked on my adobe account and there's no evidence of a paid membership there it just says 'free trial version'. Any suggestions on how to get it back? Help much appreciated

  • SO-Free goods found but not apply

    HI everybody,
Please help me solve this problem:
I've finished free goods and tested OK 2 months ago. It doesn't work when I come back and check again.
I have configed and define master data VBN1, I use free goods analysis to check, system found condition record and display "Condition record has been specified", but when I click on that condition record "The condition record for use N can not be displayed".  And no have any subsequent item under Main Item (system even don't warning when I input quantity smaller minimum quantity of free goods as in the past).
More Infor: I just use Exclusive for Free goods with the very simple way. And I still can input manually free goods by inputting higher level item no.
I have researched every topic and check config again and again but it doesn't seem to work. Please suggest me any way to continue.
    Many thanks for your help.

    Use Tcode VBN2.
Provide your Free Goods condition type - Discount type in VBN2 and click on Condition Information button.
This would take you to display condition record screen.
Don't provide/maintain any data in selection parameter & Execute.
But kee validity period/date in check.
If any condition record is maintain, then you will be able to see the result in List for Condition Type screen.
You can also follow Table KONDN - Conditions: Free goods - Data section to check whether you have any data maintained.
    KONDN-KSCHL

In administering this policy I am a little confused.
We have a policy that distributes proxy settings in the internet explorer maintenance settings section - however when opening this policy up in GPO editor the internet explorer maintenance section is not present.
I plan to apply the settings via User/preferences/control panel settings/ internet settings (or registry settings from article) however I am unable to edit the settings for internet explorer maintenance and these will persist. Ideas????

  • My creative cloud one year membership is not recongnized: All softwares are in trail version!

Recently my imac died, the hard drive somehow failed and never worked again, so I changed the hard drive completely. So when I reinstalled all my softwares, I download the creative cloud desktop app and started downloading the softwares and then noticed that everything was in TRIAL VERSION, I revise that my membership was not finished, and it was not, it ends in july but my creative cloud one year membership is not recongnized, even that I am logged in. PLEASE HELP

I place the solution for the community since it took me almost 25 days to get it resolved, I really hope that this will be able to save you some time:
My case> I logged in perfectly in my CC desktop app, the softwares recognize my account but not the one year suscription, so I was allways on trial version. This work for me>
I had a chat conversation where a really nice Adobe helper that made me change my /etc/host file, and change it's content to something I would never understand, this:
    ### Host Database## localhost is used to configure the loopback interface# when the system is booting.  Do not change this entry.##127.0.0.1 localhost255.255.255.255 broadcasthost::1             localhost fe80::1%lo0 localhost127.0.0.1
And also erase all the files in the Library/adobe/SLStore folder .
That worked for me! hope that this will make your day a brigther one
    Thank you Arunkumar!

  • Windows Server 2012 R2 - ALL HF's Failing to install as "Does Not Apply to this computer"

    Hi,
A general question about hot fix installs.
I have multiple servers that are all Windows 2012 R2. They do not have internet connections, so I have to install the Hotfixes manually. I download the HF's from the ISO download page (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/913086) every month. I collect them and install in a bulk install during a release cycle ( a couple times a year). I just realized that NO HF's have installed since JUNE 2014. Every HF that shows up in WindowsServer2012R2 directory fail to install with a message of "The update is not applicable to your computer". Which is fine if that was true, but.... I get this message for every HF from the ISO's since June 2014. NOT one HF thinks it is applicable to my computer. Could that be the case? No HF's apply to my Server 2012 systems since June of 2014?
This is my system info, and below that is the results from attempting to install 95 HF's.

  • Real Smack In Face (iDrones NEED NOT APPLY)

Having been an Apple purchaser and stockholder since 1992, this is the first time I must say that I'm questioning my emotional attachment to this company. This emotional aspect has made me overlook the issues of their computers, monitors, keyboards from the Mac Classic II to the PowerPC 7100/80 to Color Stylewriter Pro's to iMacs to at one point operating a "microsoft-free" office.
Never once did I feel ripped off, until now.
This entire purchase and all the headaches that accompanied it (losing my corporate discount with AT&T for this phone) to now finding out that less than 2 months after purchase Apple says to the their loyal purchasing base, sorry, but the phone is really worth $200 less, is absolutely unreal.
Apple owners overpay for everything, computers, monitors, etc. and not Apple smacks us in the face.
While I will be going the same route, contacting AMEX to counteract this, I will never look at Apple the same way.
iDrones, need not apply, this is an absolute legitimate gripe and stop acting like you work for their PR dept. Oh wait maybe you do.
And, for those of you using iToner, DO NOT UPGRADE TO Quicktime 7.4.

I am the same way, I have been a mac user for 21 years and literally have spent close to $750,000 with them buying equipment for myself and my businesses. Even before this iPhone fiasco I was feeling like the current lineup of Macs just arn't worth what the once were. Any user can go out and build a machine which will keep pace with the Mac Pro for about the cost of the iMac and with a little effort you don't have to give up the OS X experience either....

  • GCU 20% discount was not applied to purchase

    Hi--
I purchased two copies of Nintendoland with a Luigi Wii Remote Plus and my GCU 20% discount did not apply since it's a special game+hardware bundle. Please let me know the info needed to apply the discount (should be a $12 refund).
    Thanks!

    Hi riptidewahoo,
I've replied to the private message you sent earlier this week, so please make sure to check your private messages when you can.
    cbonet,
Thanks for reserving your copy of Assassin's Creed: Unity with us!
Based on available information, it looks like the GCU discount wasn't applied to your order because your membership expired in February of this year. If you've renewed since then, then I would ask that you send me a private message with the Customer Service PIN from the bottom of your receipt so I can further investigate.

I have two faults! 1, an error comes up in Ps CC 2014 "could not apply the saved panel configuration, restring to default and my tools have disappeared completely and anything ive tried I cannot get them back not even the drop down menu in 'window' helps at all. And 2, Lr everytime I load it up it gives me the option to retry or switch to and it takes a while for me to even get anywhere with it I think it has something to do with the catalogs? I've been using these programs for a few years now on a Mac...no problem but when I use a PC when I'm away coz it's the (only) comp available these happen PC's are so useless! Please can anyone help??...

I can give a few suggestions on Photoshop CC 2014, but Lightroom is a separate forum and you should ask Lr questions there.
    First close Photoshop.
Then start Photoshop by double-clicking on it's icon and very quickly after that, hold down the ctrl-alt-shift keys until you see the reset dialog. answer "Yes" to delete settings, and let Photoshop continue to load.
It's tricky to do and may take a few tries, but at least it should reset Photoshop CC 2014 to defaults.

  • SQL Server 2008 R2 Replication - not applying snapshot and not updating all repliacted columns

We are using transactional replicating on SQL Server 2008 R2 (SP1) using a remote distributor. We are replicating from BaanLN, which is an ERP application to up to 5 subscribers, all using push publications.
Tables can range from a couple million rows to 12 million rows and 100's of GBs in size.
And it's due to the size of the tables that it was designed with a one publisher to one table architecture.
Until recently it has been working very smooth (last four years)) but we have come across two issues I have never encountered.
While this has happen a half dozen times before, it last occurred a couple weeks ago when I was adding three new publications, again a one table per publication architecture.
We use standard SS repl proc calls to create the publications, which have been successful for years.
On this occasion replication created the three publications, assigned the subscribers and even generated the new snapshot for all three new publications.
However,  while it appeared that replication had created all the publications correctly from end to end, it actually only applied one of the three snapshot and created the new table on both of the new subscribers (two on each of the
publications).  It only applied the snapshot to one of the two subscribers for the second publications, and did not apply to any on the third.
I let it run for three hours to see if it was a back log issue.
Replication was showing commands coming across when looking at the sync verification at the publisher and
it would even successfully pass a tracer token through each of the three new publications, despite there not being tables on either subscriber on one of the publishers and missing on one of the subscribers on another.
I ended up attempting to reinitialize roughly a dozen times, spanning a day, and one of the two remaining publications was correctly reinitialized and the snapshot applied, but the second of the two (failed) again had the same mysterious result, and
again looked like it was successful based on all the monitoring.
So I kept reinitializing the last and after multiple attempts spanning a day, it too finally was built correctly.
Now the story only get a little stranger.  We just found out yesterday that on Friday the 17th
at 7:45, the approximate time started the aforementioned deployment of the three new publications,
we also had three transaction from a stable and vetted publication send over all changes except for a single status column.
This publication has 12 million rows and is very active, with thousands of changes daily.
, The three rows did not replicate a status change from a 5 to a 6.
We verified that the status was in fact 6 on the publisher, and
5 on both subscribers, yet no messages or errors.  All the other rows successfully updated.
We fixed it by updating the publication from 6 back to 5 then back to 6 again on those specific rows and it worked.
The CPU is low and overall latency is minimal on the distributor.
From all accounts the replication is stable and smooth, but very busy.
The issues above have only recently started.  I am not sure where to look for a problem, and to that end, a solution.

I suspect the problem with the new publication/subscriptions not initializing may have been a result of timeouts but it is hard to say for sure.  The fact that it eventually succeeded after multiple attempts leads me to believe this.  If this happens
again, enable verbose agent logging for the Distribution Agent to see if you are getting query timeouts.  Add the parameters
-OutputVerboseLevel 2 -Output C:\TEMP\DistributionAgent.log to the Distribution Agent Run Agent job step, rerun the agent, and collect the log.
If you are getting query timeouts, try increasing the Distribution Agent -QueryTimeOut parameter.  The default is 1800 seconds.  Try bumping this up to 3600 seconds.
Regarding the three transactions not replicating, inspect MSrepl_errors in the distribution database for the time these transactions occurred and see if any errors occurred.

  • OBIEE not applying outer join syntax to filters

(Note: I've already thoroughly searched the forums before posting this. Thanks)
    My problem is the following:
I'm trying to build a report that is a count from my fact table, grouped by month from my date dimension for a given year, resulting in 12 data points. The problem is that not all months have actual data, but I still need those months to show on the report with a count of zero. Typical simple reporting requirement.
I have already done the obvious and within my business layer made the join between my fact table and my date dimension an outer join on the fact side, just like you'd do if writing the query by hand. And when tested by hand this includes all dates for the year anyway, and when coupled with the appropriate null test on the count measure I'd get my 12 data points with zeros were appropriate.
The problem is that there are additional filters I need to apply on the fact data (there are a couple text-based code values that didn't warrant full tables themselves so are just degenerate dimensions directly on the fact table.)
When these filters are applied at the Answer level, I'm only getting back the months that actually have data, and lose the months where the count should be zero. A check of the session log for the query that was generated shows the problem. While OBI properly generates the outer-join syntax for the join itself between the two tables (my date dim and fact table) it does NOT apply the outer-syntax to the constant-based filter against the fact, effectively negating the outer join.
Actual query from the log (I simply changed the table aliases from the ugly T##### stuff OBI generates to something more readable for posting here):
    select D.DT_MONTH_NAME as c1,
    D.DT_MONTH_NUM as c2,
    I.INC_TYPE as c3,
    I.INC_EMP_GROUP as c4,
    sum(case when I.INC_KEY is null then 0 else 1 end ) as c5
    from DATE_DIM D, INCIDENT_F I
    where ( D.DATE_KEY = I.DATE_KEY (+) ) and ( D.DT_YEAR = 2010 and I.INC_EMP_GROUP = 'CONTRACTOR' )
    group by D.DT_MONTH_NUM, D.DT_MONTH_NAME, I.INC_TYPE, I.INC_EMP_GROUP
    order by c2
You can see that the outer syntax (+) is applied to the join, but not to the filter on I.INC_EMP_GROUP. If I take this query and drop it in something like SQL Developer, it only returns the months with data. If I throw the (+) after I.INC_EMP_GROUP like I'd do if writing this by hand, the desired zero-months results pop back in.
I have already searched the forums and while lots of people seem to have asked this question, the only solutions involve things like trickery in the business layer using dummy fact tables followed by manipulations at the report level etc. Unfortunately I can't rely on these as the system is eventually to be turned over to users who can't be expected to apply various hacks to write reports.
Anyone ever get to the bottom of getting OBI to apply outer join logic in filters as well, when the filtered table is meant to be outer-joined to?
    Any comments are appreciated.
    John

I know that this thread is a bit old thought it might be helpful to some one...
The Issue is, when using Degener@teDimen$ion ( this is !nner joned to FACT tables in BMM) and if any of the dimensions {other than theDegener@teDimen$ion (Let us say Dim X) } have an ()uter join to any of the fact tables, and you were doing your analysis using Degener@teDimen$ion,  Dim X, Measure value you will face the following issues.
when filtering the analysis on the ()uter join dimension ( Dim X), the IN filter will not work. Reason is that the filter is getting applied to both the Dimension and FACT tables and the values that exist in Dimension Dim X but not in FACT table wont show up.
The above issue can be fixed by changing the join between the fact and Degener@teDimen$ion from inner to outer. I think this is a bug.. because  it is supposed to filter the fact  table after the entire outer joined result is obtained but not filter the fact table for the Dim X values and do a outer join. I think the BI should be intelligent enough.

  • CC membership not visible in adobe ID + How to upgrade LR?

I have a paid membership of Adobe CC since September 2013, but never updated anything after the initial download/install of Photoshop CC.  Lightroom 5 was already on my computer back then.
Now for the first time I want to upgrade to LR6-CC, but when I try to do that from within LR (through Help/Update), I am only offered a trial version or a payable upgrade.
When I check my Adobe ID, it appears that I have many (old) paid orders and products, but the most recent one of 2013 (Creative Cloud) is not mentioned.  I seem to have a "free membership" that can be upgraded to a paid one.
On the other hand, if I launch Creative Cloud.exe, I can see updates offered for Photoshop (not Lightroom), so I DO have a membership (which I pay every month, and I do receive invoices).
I had a VERY long chat with Adobe about this (very long = 10 minutes chat + 70 minutes waiting), and they told me to
    - uninstall Lightroom
    - SIGN OUT and SIGN IN from the creative cloud desktop
    - click on the APPS tab and install Lightroom 5
I am very hesitant to do this, because when I click on SIGN OUT in the Creative Cloud desktop, ALL CREATIVE CLOUD APPLICATIONS I HAVE INSTALLED WILL BE DEACTIVATED.
Does this mean I would have to reinstall Photoshop????   NO WAY !!     I am definitely not going to reinstall Photoshop, just to get Lightroom 6!!    (I would only do that if I buy myself a new computer).
    My 2 questions :
    - Why is my CC membership not visible in my Adobe ID ?
    - How can I upgrade LR from a package-version (with paid license number) to a CC-version WITHOUT having to reinstall Photoshop?

  • Clicking a Paragraph Style Does Not Apply Style to Text

I just switched from a PC to a brand new MacBook Pro (OSX Lion 10.7), and I bought InDesign CS5.5. I have been using CS4 on a PC for a couple of years and had no issues. For some reason, I cannot apply Paragraph Styles by placing my cursor in the text and clicking the Paragraph style. It highlights the clicked style for a moment, and then de-highlights all the styles, but does not apply any changes. The only way I can apply a Paragraph Style right now is by right clicking the style and selecting "Apply..." from the drop down menu. It's very puzzling. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this. I also have Microsoft Office: Mac 2011 installed on the laptop if that makes a difference to anyone. Any help would be greatly appreciated, since I typeset and edit for my living, and this problem is slowing me down a bit.

Neither. Let's say I click into a paragraph. The current style will be highlighted. If I click on another style (or even attempt to re-apply the same style by clicking on it in the styles pane), it momentarily highlights the new style, then flashes a little bar underneath (like the one that shows up if I were to try to re-organize the styles list by dragging a style to a different pace in the styles list), then all the styles become unselected, but no changes have been applied to the paragraph in question. Very definitely not normal. It is almost as if the pane assumes that I am attempting to drag the style even when I am merely clicking on it. Very weird.
