Student in Need

At my school, the still have the CS3 Suite of programs, I own the CS5 Standard Suite.  In my graphic design processes class I am unable to work on my homework at home due to the versions differences when we use Indesign.  Are there any plugins or ways to save a CS5 Indesign file to be opened in CS3 Indesign without access to a copy of CS4?  Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

We can't help, when you have InDesign CS5, but on InDesign CS6 has a support of CS4 InDesign files. You can upgrade it from InDesign CS5 to CS6 or install the free trial to CS6, it will be not delete it. You can try this to get for free: http://goo.gl/dFBHV, can be this helpful.

    You could use Microsoft Office for Mac, but I would recommend iWork! It's a better set of applications for a much better price. I have used both and I prefer it over Office. And Pages can not only open Word documents, you can also save documents in Word format. My brother and I both used iWork as an Office substitute when we were in college (I graduated a few years ago and he just graduated last night) and haven't had any compatibility issues.     If you know that you will not be asked to design GUI interfaces, and the C programming course will adhere to command line compilation environments, then get the Xcode command-line developer tools, and skip the extra complication of Xcode until you absolutely need it. Apple has kicked GNU C to the curb and is rightly so, using Clang/LLVM compiler technology.
    Sign up for a free Apple Developer account using your Apple ID, and then visit the Mac Dev Center, and towards the bottom of the page, you will see additional downloads. Click on the associated, all down loads link. Know your OS X version beforehand, as the command-line tool releases are tied to general operating system versions, and the most recent Xcode version.  That said, there are currently two March 9, 2015 command-line tools for Xcode 6.2 — one for OS X 10.9 Mavericks, and the other for OS X Yosemite.

    No such thing is sold from any authorized source in the US. The Sprint phone is not unlocked. It can be unlocked by Sprint for use on international (non US) carriers for current Sprint customers in good standing after completing (I believe) 60 days of service.
    If you are having problems using certain features on an unsupported carrier, you'll have to work it out with your carrier.

    Hi, Im ICTstudent. Im trying to finish school before the summer holidays and find a job so I can afford an appartment to live in with my girlfriend.
    I have an assignment that I need to finish asap because of the nearing summer holidays. My coach told me that it should take me about a weekend to finish it, so I asked my teacher to send me all the relevant data. after downloading oracle express edition etc, i installed them on vista and encountered a lot of problems (which I finally resolved thanks to this fantastic forum!)
    However, this means that I have been working on this assignment for 2 days already. Just when I wanted to start working on the Form I need to build, I discovered that my teacher had sent me the wrong DB model :s :s :s I now had to rebuild the entire db =(
    So, almost 2 days later I built the new db and basic form (which is filling the tables on the form with the db records) in Forms Builder. Now ive spent almost double the time i should have on this assignment, and I have to build a number of constraints... I have no clue how to even start with these =( That's why I'm asking you guys for help. I know its a lot to ask for, but I really have no other ideas.

    You get marks for honesty. Often students who post here don't admit to their status. Some responders seems to be wound up by students asking for help. I don't know why, maybe they've forgotten what it was like to be a beginner. Me, I'm happy as long as I get a course credit.
    By the way, a set of CREATE TABLE scripts is generally more helpdul than bald DESC statements.
    Your BID table doesn't seem to have a column for amount, which will make it hard to implement Number of highest bids Unless that is what the BID column means, in which case it needs a clearer name.
    Include the following constraint will have to be done as a input validation in the form, as these sorts of cross-table constraints are hard to implement in the database. Come to think of it, you probably want to include some input validation to ensure that a new BID meets the MINAMT.
    Add a function that not sure what the point of that function would be.
    Having read through your post I think you are in the wrong forum. This is a database PL/SQL forum; really you should be asking your question in [the Forms forum|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=82]
    Which leads me to my last point: what is your question? You have given us lots of info but you haven't explained what you need from us.

    These are actually SQL*PLUS commands, and not sql commands. SQL*Plus is Oracle's command line interface to sql.

  • Student Project - Need Help With ViewPlatform Rotation

    Hello folks,
    I'm a student in Strathclyde University, Glasgow, and I'm currently doing a small project for one of my programming classes. I'm doing a 3D knots and crosses game but I'm having tremendous difficulty getting the rotation to work just the way I want it to. Let me decribe what I need.
    Visualise 27 cubes, arranged in a 3 x 3 x 3 structure, space out slightly: a 3D knots and crosses setup. I'm trying to get the ViewPlatform to rotate around the central cube in a spherical fashion.
    I also need this rotation to use the keyboard arrow keys, not the mouse because I am reserving the mouse for interaction using the PickMouseBehavior class as stated in my project specification.
    I have looked up various classes in the API: such as KeyNavigator, OrbitBehavior, and some VisAd class that isn't included with the Java3D API nor is it on the systems I have available at the university.
    The trouble is, all these classes that I have found do not rotate the way I need them to: as described above. They "turn left" and "turn right" the camera as opposed to "rotate left around" and "rotate right around" the central cube (i.e horizontal rotation of the camera on a wide circle around an object).
    They also "move forward" and "move backward" as opposed to "rise up around" and "drop down around" the central cube (i.e. vertical rotation on a wide circle around an object).
    I have previously tackled this problem by creating a dummy cube under the central cube using then attaching the "camera" to the dummy cube in the DarkBASIC programming language and wonder if this method is available using Java.
    I've thought about defining my own arrow key rotation class, but I have little idea how to go about doing that either.
    An additional bonus would be the ability to limit vertical rotation so as not to go over and upside-down the vertical limit.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    If so, could you provide some clarity onto how go about implementing a Behavior to do the type of rotations I stated in my first post? By clarity I mean a little bit more about the recipe for creating a Behavior: the API is lacking documentation on this I think.
    I'll go do a bit of reading on it and tell you where I get. Nonetheless, any further advice would be much appreciated.

    I am a international student, I bought a GE60 from Amazon the day before yesterday. And now, I can't adjust the brightness. I rememberwhave updated the Geforce drivers. I don't know if it is the reason. But I am sure it did work when I use FN+ UP or DOWN yesterday. I tried to reinstall the Intel and geforce video card's drivers. And even the SCM software. But it still not work. I Can't suffer the brightness at midnight. Please help me how can I do?
    And then, I think Id better to try the onekey recovery. But it also doesn't work! it says that "the partition is not factory default (can't find hidden partition for recovery)"just like this. I have used EaseUS tools to creat a new partition from C:\(it is the os install partition, it too large for only a system, almost 460GB, so I want to get some place from it and make a new partition). now the F3 recovery is not work too!!how can I do??
    3rd question! If I want to add a ssd to my ge60, can I do it myself? Because there is a tag which says "warranty sticker void if tampered ". If I want to add a ssd I have to break it. Is it meas the warranty will lose efficacy???

    Did that machine come with Win8 or did you install it? Also what GE60 do you have exactly.
    Once you formatted the drive and changed size the F3 recovery is destroyed and can't be restored. C: must be named OS_Install if not already wiped the drive and hidden BIOS_RVY partition must be present else there is no F3 recovery.
    Despite the Warranty void sticker your system is upgradeable and you can replace the hdd with an SSD. As long as you don't damage anything upgrading warranty is fine.

    Hi everyone, I’m a student who's completely confused using labview. I've a project due in a couple of weeks and it's wrecking my head trying to figure it out. I've got most of it done, but i can't get the rest of it.
    I have to modify the attached file to tell a function generator (HP 33120a) to perform a frequency sweep between 100 hz and 10khz with a 1 volt amplitude. The sweep duration has to be 10 seconds and the digital multimeter (hp 34401a) is to be programmed to perform 100 ac voltage measurements. The results are then to be converted into dB and displayed on the front panel as a waveform graph.
    Any ideas?
    Any sort of help at all would be great. It's a small but annoying part of a big project.

    Well, there's a shipping example in LabVIEW 7 that does exactly what you need but giving it to you as a 6.1 file would probably give you too much. There's a couple of things that you need to do in your example. It's set right now for a single frequency. From a start freq, end freq, and step size, you need to calculate the input frequency in a loop. For example, starting at 100 hz and 100 hz increments, you would set the arb to 100, 200, 300, etc., until the max frequency is reached. LabVIEW has a both a while loop and a for loop. You can enclose your program with either. You also need to change your dmm dunction to read ac volts instead of dc. You don't need to use the dmm to measure frequency because the frequency would be calculated by the VI. Look on the Numeric>Logarthmic palette for a function that you can use to convert your RMS reading from the dmm into dB. Finally, you should use an XY graph to plot the frequency versus gain. The XY graph takes an x array (frequency) and a y array (gain) as inputs. The measured gain and the input frequency can be output from a while loop or for loop and be automatically built into an array. For a while loop, click on the output tunnel and select Enable Indexing. This is the default behavior of a for loop so if you use one of these, you don't have to do anything. I hope that's enough to get you started.

  • Student Association needs help!

    Here is my situation. I'm part of a student association at my university and need to send out emails for events and notifications to students. The faculty gave me the names and emails of thousands of students who are enrolled and i need to create a database so i can easily send emails through the universities email system. I have mail set up to work with the universities email service. Now all i need to do is work out a way to efficiently send thousands of emails in batches to members of the student association. The faculty gave me the details in an excel file. I can copy and paste individual details but that is tedious.
    We first started off with less than 200 members which was easy enough to create individual contact cards in address book but since we're become so big and have been given access to every student in the faculty we cant figure out an efficient way to email everyone. I was thinking of using address book but i really dont want to enter 3 details for thousands of individual people. Does anyone know of a easier method of essentially creating a database?
    We would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions of programs to use.

  • Help if you can, student and need phone now.

    Hi, yesterday morning when I unplugged my phone from the wall charger I noticed there were too small black oval shapes on the top center of my screen. Being late for school I didn't really mind it.. Through out the day do, it's as if it extended to my right side of the screen and to my left. There are still two black oval circles on the top, now one side of the screen flips from different colors and lines and the other flips from white to black. I can't see anything!!
    How can i fix this? Will blackberry cover me for this? I run my hand over the screen and I can't feel any scratches or bumps or marks. I dropped it once the first time I got it, but it was less than a foot, and nothing happened to it. I'm with telus and in canada.. Any and all help is appreciated.
