March 2012 i bought a stundent license cs 5.5..
Is it possible to upgrade or go to student Creative Cloud due to the fact i already bought a license this year ?
Greetings,

Hi Armed,
depending on when in March you bought the CS5.5 you should send in you request with all documents to Adobe Customer service. They can tell you for sure if and how.

  • After recently buying a new computer and installing firefox, sometimes firefox does not open webpages completely for website such as facebook, and reddit.

Hi, i recently bought a new computer and installed firefox on it, but sometimes when opening webpages such as reddit, or facebook, it only loads part of the page or very little of it.

If you use extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) like <i>Adblock Plus</i> or <i>NoScript</i> or <i>Ghostery</i> that can block content then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.

  • CS5 Student License after Graduation

    Hello,
I have a quick question about CS5 Design Premium and a student license.
I have been using CS5 as a media production minor at Purdue.  However, I am graduating soon.  My question, can I still use my license after graduation for personal use?  Such as, editing photos, updating my website, etc.  I have read the student agreement, and it states:
"...If a product version changes, however, current students, faculty, and staff my purchase the new version to continue to take advantage of the spectacular discounts offered in this program.  If a student has graduated and is no longer eligible for education discounts, he or she may purchase a standard commercial upgrade of the new version."
That was regarding upgrades, and would suggest that Adobe is saying that a current student should just buy the new version at a discount and consider that the upgrade, and graduated students are not eligible, but can still upgrade as any normal user could.
So my question is simple, can I still use CS5 after graduation, as I always have?  Also, if I choose to upgrade to CS5.5 at some point in the future, I can still purchase the upgrade like someone who bought CS5 outright, correct?
One other question, while we're here.  If I buy a new Mac well after graduation, let's say two years from now, and I am able to continue with my current license, can I deactivate it from my current computer and install it on a new one?  Still using one activation, just on a newer computer.
Thanks, I greatly appreciate the help in clarifying this matter.

For some reason, I was under the impression I need to uninstall CS5 and destroy my activation key.
Whether it matters or not, just so my status here is clear, my degree is through Purdue, but I attend a university that is both Purdue and Indiana Univsersities, and my Adobe discs have the IU logo on them, in addition to the standard Adobe print and so on.  They were purchased through the university bookstore, and I signed all necessary forms and provided the proper identification.  Thanks.

  • Change from regular license to student license

    Dear Community, dear Adobe!
Last year, I got invited by Adobe to the "Random Acts of Creativity". that Invitation included a free 3-month license for the creative cloud.
When I now check my Adobe ID, the account owner is "Peter Griffith" (which is obviously not me) and he holds the license for my creative cloud.
This license is running out in 2 days and what I want to do is change from this regulart license (which is 70 € a month) to a students license, as I am a student. Where and how can I change this?
I know, it's a kind of specialized problem but I couldn't find it in the support area and there's also no option to ask directly in a chat or give a call so I'm goona try it here!
    Thanks for your help,
    Daniel

  • UK Student License questions

    Hi all,
Two quick questions about the licensing for Student Versions.
    1) Does being a student at the Open University (open.ac.uk) qualify for a student license?
    2) Is the student license granted depending on the course being studied?  I.e. Would a student studying say, English Literature, be able to purchase a student license just as a student who was perhaps doing a Film Editing course?  Or does there need to be some relevance to the software being purchased?
I'd be looking at getting the Premier Production Suite, and I'm doing a course which starts with a module in Forensic Science.  Later on there are courses in digital gaming and digital photography which the production suite would really come in handy..
    Many Thanks in advance

I will become an iPhone owner this Friday when it launches here in the UK, but being that I have never had a contract phone before, can anyone tell me how the Edge feature works on the iPhone? I assume if you wander out of range of your home network it will give you the option to connect to Edge? Also, does it cost to use this feature on top of your monthly fee? If so, what are the fees per minute.
Edge use is free and now that O2 has decided to give unlimited Edge use to iPhone owners use it at will, you connection speed with Edge should be between 120k and 220k on average
    The iPhone searches for friendly
WiFi spots first then will connect to Edge as a second choice.
While using WiFi you will see a WiFi icon near the top left of your screen, when connected to Edge you will see a "E" as the edge icon

  • CS5 update date issue with CS4 Student Licensing version

Before downloading the Flash Pro CS5 update, from Adobe's web-site, I called Adobe and asked this question, " Will the Flash Pro CS5 upgrade work with my Student Licensing version?"  The answer I received (after being put on hold), was "Yes, the CS5 upgrade will work with my version of CS4."
However...after paying for and downloading the Flash Pro CS5, I am finding that it is not working. The serial number asked for, from my version of CS4, comes up as being not valid.
Any suggestions as to resolving this issue would be appreciated!
    Thanks!
    ~BG

There are no restrictions against you using your student-licensed version of CS4 (either any of the suites or individual programs) for commercial work other than that you may not sell or otherwise transfer your license to anyone else.

  • Adobe Master Collection CS5 Student Licensing Use Questions

I have a desktop and a laptop computer and I want to install the software on both machines. I currently have it on my desktop machine ONLY. Does the student license allow you to install on two computers like the regular license does? I am fixing to have to format the hard drive of my desktop PC. Will I need to deactivate the software on my desktop in order to reinstall it after format if I can install on my laptop?  I'm running Windows 7 64-bit on both computers. Thank you.

It seems you already know your way around some of the EULA documentation:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/eulas/
(Scroll down to Adobe Creative Suite CS 5.5, CS 5 PDFs)
I will continue to look for the EULAs for the Educational Store but you might find them before I do by visiting the Educational Store and looking around for the documentation.

  • CS5 Student License Question

    Licensing question:
In 2011, I purchased a student license to CS5 for my mac.  I have installed it on one laptop that I am the primary user of.  The laptop has two user logins, mine and my husbands.
Can my husband use CS5 on the computer on an occassional basis (either through my username or his) and still be okay from a licensing point of view?  There are several questions that hint at this, but I can't find a clear answer.  I've read the EULA, but I'm still confused whether this is permissable or not.
    Thanks for any help.

That's into the area of legal interpretation, but you don't need to overthink it. You may have purchased the license, but technically the activation is per computer, is it not? So one could simply assume that this is perfectly intended or at least within the freedom that the EULA provides... It's not like you're letting your neighbors use it for a buck an hour, or is it?

  • Photoshop CS5 student license

I can only find the CS5 extended version. Is there a link to photoshop CS5 that is not extended? My serial number is only for a student license.

The serial number dictates whether it is standard or extended, otherwise the installer is identical. Use what you have found.

  • I'm horribly confused about student licensing and commercial use

As the title says I'm horribly confused about student licensing and using it for commercial use.
I currently have a Student Licensing version of Adobe Creative Suite 4 that I purchased through my school's journeyEd portal.
Seeing how CS5 is now out I was browsing looking at prices (why not upgrade while I'm still a student, right?) and while browsing I bumped into one source that says that Student Licensing can not be used for commercial purposes, and this is when the confusion started. I remember reading before that we are able to use student licensing for commercial purposes, okay time to google search. I found one Adobe FAQ that says I can. .
    http://www.adobe.com/education/students/studentteacheredition/faq.html
" Can I use my Adobe Student and Teacher Edition software for commercial use?
Yes. You may purchase a Student and Teacher Edition for personal as well as commercial use. "
    and I found this old thread;
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/314304
Where an poster listed as an employee of Adobe states
"There is no upgrade from the CS3 Educational Edition to the comparable CS3 editions sold in non-academic environments. If you have an educational version of for CS3 obtained legitimately (i.e., you qualified for the educational version when you obtained it), you may continue to use that software for the indefinite future, even for commercial use! You cannot sell or otherwise transfer that license, though! When the next version of the Creative Suite is released, you will have two choices: (1) If you still qualify for the educational version, you can buy a copy of that next version (there is no special upgrade pricing from one educational version to another; the price is already very low) or (2) you can upgrade from the educational version of CS3 to the full version of the next version of the Creative Suite as an upgrade from CS3 at the prices published at that time. "
Okay cool, hmm what this? Adobe is asking me if I want to IM with live costumer service agent, sure why not? Then the conversation started and I asked her my question about using my CS4 license for commercial use, she asks for my product code and email to verify my product, then informs me I can purchase the upgrade version of CS5 and use that for commercial, okay great, but not really answering my question. I reword it and give her a link to that FAQ page it goes like this. ..
"[CS Rep] : [My name], I would like to inform you that Adobe Student and Teacher Editions are not allowed for
    commercial use.
[CS Rep] : However, you can upgrade your current software to a normal upgrade version, and you can continue
    using it for commercial purpose.
[Me] : Then is the FAQ page mistaken? Because it is very misleading if it is. But thank you for the information.
[CS Rep] : You are welcome.
[CS Rep] : I apologize for the misleading information in the FAQ."
. .And after that, I went back to being confused.
SO my questions are. . . Can I or can't I use my Adobe Creative Suite 4 student licensing for commercial purposes? and If I purchase a Student Licensing of CS5 can I use that for commercial purposes as well?
Sorry for the long post, I just want to be perfectly clear on what I can and can not do with my purchase.

The rules differ in various parts of the world. In North America you can use it for commercial work.
There are no student/academic upgrades. The pricing is so low that in many cases you're better off buying another full student license but you are eligible for upgrade pricing for commercial versions once you're out of school.
You may not transfer the student license in any way.

  • Student License for commercial-use, in Italy

    Hi there!
I would want to buy a student license for Flash Professional CS5, but I have some doubts about it.
Can I use this kind of license for commercial use, like creating websites for works, or selling my games on Steam?
I've read a older topic, and someone said that policy varies depending on the states, so I would like to be sure before buying it.

Hey there Attilio, you should find the answer in the student edition FAQ for your country:

  • Help with student licensing

Hello!  I purchased CS5 standard student edition from the university I was attending a few months ago for the discounted price.  I've used CS4 for two years, and am still registered as a student under that version.  My question is - Now that I graduated (in December), will I have any problems installing my new CS5 student licensed version?
    Thanks for your help.
    John

    Hi John,
You said you already purchased it, but did you also prove your eligibility to Adobe and get a serial number? (they don't come in the student boxes)
If so, then you should have no problem after school... see the excellent Student FAQ.

  • Upgrading a student license to commercial

    Hey,
I'm posting to ask how much it costs to upgrade a student license of CS3 Design Premium to the commercial license - it's unclear in the Adobe online store.
    Can anyone help?
    Chris

    Hi everyone,
Was there any resolution to this last question? Is the Adobe Student Edition a newer incarnation different from previous educational/academic licenses?
As Walter mentioned, the Adobe Student Edition FAQ page seems to be at odds with the other information, as it states:
"Adobe Student Editions are for installation solely on private computers and for non-commercial purposes only."
I would be truly, truly appreciative if somebody could once and for all help shed some light on this subject for me. I've gotten so many differing and conflicting responses from web queries, EULA readings, and Adobe customer service.
My long-winded post today is spurred on by the confusing response from Adobe customer service that I received today. It read:
"With regard to your concern to use Adobe Educational Software for
commercial purposes, I need to inform you that the educational versions of our software are specially priced for qualifying students and faculty. Even though they are restricted for educational and
institutional use only, educational versions are fully functional."
Are the products restricted in terms of who can use them, what qualified users can use them for, or both?
I'm a student (in North America) and received my CS3 Design Premium through my school over a year ago, but I'll be darned if I know how to tell what license I exactly have. Looking at the DVD case in front of me, it says "Student Licensing." I've read the EULA, which basically says you can use the software if you qualify as an educational end-user. Does that mean you have to qualify when you buy it, or forever on? How do I know if my version different from the above mentioned Adobe Student Edition which does, indeed, restrict commercial use?
I'm not sure if this will help anybody help me understand, but I do know that a couple hundred of students (both undergrad and graduate) are enrolled in the same Adobe license deal as I am, so I'm guessing that is probably some sort of volume licensing.
It would be absolutely wondrous to know once and for all that it was OK to use my software for commercial purposes both during school and after graduation, as it seems like a shame for the software to become legally derelict if not upgraded.
If anybody has any thoughts, it would be fantastic to hear them.
Dov, you seem to be a beacon of Adobe clarity, so I would love any advice you might have.
    Thanks so much!
    Ryan
