Student & Teacher - after 12 months reverts to FULL individual plan? Surely not!

I'm coming to the end of my 12 month Student & Teacher plan for CC and want to know how much my payments will increase to.
Sadly no-one has been able to tell me with any sort of confidence. Both the online chat and phone support didn;'t have this information to hand and after putting me on hold, they both came back to tell me that the Student & Teacher plan will move to a FULL individual CC plan - that's moving from £15.88 to nearly £47. Over 300% rise!
This is staggering, if true.
It seems that the Student & Teacher 'special price' is really a bit of a con. As a student I can afford the £15 a month payment, but I'm alarmed that once I've got all my files and software installed, Adobe will increase my payments by over 300%.
To make things worse, this isn't clearly mentioned anywhere.
Can someone in support please look into this and actually make some sense of this? There simply HAS to be a 'Standard' Student & Teacher plan, as I can't believe it will get moved to a Full Individual plan. If so, I'm going to have to cancel (as there's simply no way I can afford £46 a month), which is going to cause me a lot of problems. I'm extremely disappointed in Adobe for this.

Bev
Thanks so much for your fast response.
I'm happy to continue with plan at £22.46 which seems far more realistic
than the £46 quoted to me from two Adobe customer service staff.
I would appreciate it if you could raise my concerns that it took me nearly
2 hours of my time speaking with two Adobe representatives who both gave me
incorrect information, and further that the 'standard' Student & Teacher
pricing doesn't seem to appear anywhere on the Adobe site. I'm sure these
are both oversights, but it's important to get the message right to
customers.
Thanks.

Carine17088327 which Student and Teacher edition are you referring to?  This forum is primarily regarding perpetual version of Adobe Creative software which included a discount for education users.

  • Renew student/teacher discount after the first year?

    G'day.
In the terms it states that the subscription fee will change to the then standard fee after 12 months, I was wondering if the student/teacher discount is renewable after your first year so you can continue paying the discounted fee as long as you are eligible for it? I am a teacher and I use adobe products occasionally.
    Cheers!

    Hi Justin
The offer terms can be viewed from the plans page: Creative Cloud pricing and membership plans | Adobe Creative Cloud

The plan will automatically renew so if you wish to cancel or are no longer eligible you would need to contact us.

  • Student & Teacher Edition - license question after upgrade

Hello, I have a question about the license after an upgrade.
I understand that I cannot resell the CS6 Student & Teacher Edition. But it can be upgraded to a following, full commercial CS7 version later, when I'm not a student anymore.
In this case, can the new version be sold?

    Hello,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums.
You can buy Retail CS7 in future and then you can transfer or sell it
    Thanks,
    Vikram

I've been charged 30.74 EUR instead of 19.99 EUR for my creative cloud student and teacher membership this month. Why is this the case?

Hey ! Welcome to the community ^^
The student discount only lasts 12 months. This is maybe the reason why it's expired.

  • One year subscription stopped working after a month

I purchased the one-year student & teacher subscription and after exactly a month it said my subscription is over and that I had to download creative cloud, so I did that thinking it would work.. it didn't.. I then checked my e-mail and it said my creative cloud subscription got downgraded, so now I don't have to pay anymore, but if I don't pay, my software won't work (I paid €19,99/month i purchased my software when the discount was still running and i'd like to keep paying the 19,99 euros instead of the full price) I need help as soon as possible because I have exams and I need this software to make them! Please help me..

I have responded to you by email to resolve the issue. My email is [email protected]

  • I just updated my iMac to Mountain Lion and now my 2004 Student/Teacher Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, and Excel) won't work. Do I need to update those apps to the Mac 2011 version?

I just installed Mountain Lion on my mid 2007 iMac but now my 2004 Microsoft Student Teacher Word, Excel, and Powerpoint won't open and are x'd out on my dock.Do I need to update to the 2011 Student zoffice version?

Microsoft Office's 2011 version is compatible with Lion and presumably either works with Mountain Lion or an update will make it so.  The problem with this approach is that Office 2011 will "convert" your earlier data files and there lies the rub!  For example, I have the need to weekly open a chart created in Excel 2004, but Excel 2011 trashes the chart in its "conversion."
So I have approached the overall problem differently.
The reason your applications do not work in Mountain Lion is that they were written for the older PowerPC CPU that all Macs used up to 2006.  When Apple made its transition to the Intel CPU, they licensed software that they included in all versions of OS X (from Tiger to Leopard and optionally, Snow Leopard) called Rosetta.
Rosetta miraculously allows PowerPC applications to work on the Intel processor transparently; you do not know it is even present.
The problem is that after 6 years of the transition, Apple's license to use the underlying software expired for OS X Lion and all version thereafter (and it is doubtful that the current owner of the software, IBM, would relicense it, even if Apple were inclined to do so).
So for those of use that need to run Lion, I have offered the option to install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels 7:

    And now Mountain Lion:

  • What's missing in the Student/Teacher Edition?

I'm looking into purchasing the "Adobe Creative Suite 5 Production Premium Student and Teacher Edition."  I imagine, because it's the Student/Teacher edition, After Effects (as well as the other Adobe programs) will be missing some features/tools, that are only available in the non-Student/Teacher edition.  What are those missing features/tools?

    Nothing is missing.
from the "Student and Teacher Edition FAQ":
"Adobe Student and Teacher Editions are the same full versions of some of  our commercial software titles, priced at discounts for students,  faculty, teachers, and administrators.          "

  • Web Premium CS5 Student/Teacher Edition - Cannot Register :(

I have a serious problem with a copy of  Student/Teacher Web Premium CS5 that I purchased in March 2011...
I am mother to 3 college students, we have 5 Macs in our house (27" iMac, 23" iMac and 3 MBPs).  We need all 4 of these registration activations to keep peace in our home.
I purchased and activated a copy of Student/Teacher Web Premium CS5 on July 2, 2010. On March 24, 2011 I purchased an additional Student/Teacher Web Premium which failed to register. I understand why the registration attempt failed in March. I attempted to register again on July 15th and it has continued to fail.
I've had a trouble ticket open with Adobe support since last Friday (15-July). I have isolated the problem, explained the fix, but the offshore support group has shown no interest in providing a solution for my problem outside the realm of their canned responsibilities. They are very disengaged - one guy offered me a cup of coffee while I waited on hold... how do you answer a stupid question like that ???
Meanwhile, a system error in Adobe's licensing database has triggered my new purchase to wait until March 24 2012 before I can activate. This just blows-the brains out of the employees at the offshore company, causing them to read me passages from their training manuals each time I mention it.
Does anyone know of a US BASED escalation path for support issues ?
I have some VERY EXPENSIVE software in a box that's been sitting unused on a shelf for 4 months
I'm starting to question my decision to "Do The Right Thing" and register the software all under one account...
Perhaps in the future I should create a new account with a unique email address every time I purchase a product ?
    Thanks in advance -
    - Jane

As a follow-up, I sent an email to [email protected] as recommended. Awaiting reply
A silly side note, after waiting 4 months to re-install (per Adobe Support's instructions, back in March) I received the following conclusion from the off-shore support group :
We apologize for the inconveniece. We did not realise that you have already
purchased the application. We were under the impression that you wanted
to apply for one. Unfortunately, the application you purchased on March
2011 will not be approved and moreover the request has to be made within
    the 30 days of time.
Therefore, you need to place a new order because this one will not be
accepted. Also since it has already over 30 days since, you bought the
    product it cannot be returned.
Did you catch that? My license request has been denied because it has been more that 3 months since I purchased the software - even though I was instructed to wait 4 months before attempting to re-register.
    UN-believable !

  • In installed CC then photoshop and lightroom, after 2 months it disappeared from my computer, won't reinstall

I got the student and teacher edition 12 month subscription, paying the subscription monthly in November 2014. I downloaded the CC app, then photoshop and then lightroom. It worked really well for a couple of months. I last used it in January. Then today I go to use it and it is not on my computer. I didn't wipe it, haven't changed anything on the computer but it has completely vanished. So, I go to Adobe to download it again, but now it tells me it can't because it isn't compatible with other adobe programs. What am I supposed to do?

First, Does your Cloud subscription show on your account page?
https://www.adobe.com/account.html for subscriptions on your Adobe page
Second, Sign out of your account... Uninstall... run the Cleaner...
    -http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html (and uninstall)
-using the cleaner after uninstalling and before reinstalling is needed

  • Lightroom 4 - Registering Student & Teacher Edition

I need to register and obtain a password for Adobe Photoshop Lightroon 4 - Student Teacher Edition for my step-son (DOB: 23 Nov 1995), however the instructions given with the software are not clear to me about how I should do this.  I have an electronic copy of his Student Card.  Any help with this would be appreciated.

Hi Jim, Thanks for the information about registering Lightroom 4: student edition.  I did eventually manage to work it out myself, however the information provided by Adobe was very confusing. Regards

Packaged with the student/teacher edition is a little yellow card.  On that card there's a web site referred to.  When you go to that website you will be asked to provide certain information to verify that you qualify for the student/teacher edition and discount.  When that is verified you'll be asked to enter the code included with your Lightroom package.  It looks like a standard serial number.  After that number has been verified, along with all of the other information you are asked to provide, you will receive an e-mail with your serial number that you use to activate Lightroom.
