Studio 9: 8 va above more than 1 bars?

hello,
is it possible to make 8 va above more than 1 bars? i found the solution for 1 bar but when i pull the symbol 8 va into the next bar or the naxt bars nothings happened...:-(
have anybody an idea?
(i dont want to use other key-symbols)

After you inserted the 8va symbol it starts to blink, now grab the outmost right edge of the symbol end drag it to a desired destination. If the symbol is not blinking you can not do anything, so make sure it does blink!

Powershell and Client Object Model - no error thrown if user is added more than once to same site or group

I am trying to add a user to a SharePoint site using PowerShell like below:-
New-SPUser -UserAlias MyDomain\jan20a -Web http://SPServer/sites/MySite
If I execute the above more than once, SharePoint does not throw that user already exists or something. This is not the same behavior in AD/Exchange PowerShell cmdlets.
Also, even the client object model behaves the same way.
Another interesting thing I noticed, I tried to remove a user from group in which the user was not part of it at all and still no error..!!
Looks like SharePoint does not care of invalid input and just ignores it.
Can anyone please confirm this and also the reason behind it ?

It's not really invalid input, since the user exists and that is how SharePoint behaves (will behave same way in browser). Try to input a user that and misspell the name, e.g. say you didn't have a MyDomain\Jan21a, then try to use same script above,
only with invalid data. It will bark at you. Or try using a web that it cannot find, one that does not exist. You'll get what I like to call, the red badge of courage if you enter invalid data.
you can test that sharepoint will let you enter a user twice in the browser, and nothing bad comes from it. Powershell is just unable to tell that the user was not in the site, when you removed it the second time.

How can i select more than one song from drop down search bar

sometimes to make a playlist i will search my music library for a word & then add all the songs with that word in the title
the drop down search bar will not allow me to select more than one song
or
will it? & i just can't suss out how... maybe you know?

hey i tried that before i posted this question... i tried all of the normal ways one would use to select more than one item...
any click of any kind at all takes you out of the search drop down & into the main itunes window... where you are deposited back into the songs alphabetically... no longer are you seeing the results of the search...
sigh
at the risk of sounding like one of those people, the "old" itunes did not have this problem...
grrrr... it seems to be that pesky drop down menu~ if only you could see the search results in the main list as opposed to only in the drop down thing

How many URLs can the Awesome Bar hold in the drop down list? I was showing five, but when I tried to add a sixth by cutting and pasting the URL in the address bar and clicking "Enter", it did not show up. Can the Awesome Bar hold more than five?

It is possible that you have an extension that sets this value to a lower setting than the current default of 12.

If you want to work with Mac OS X, you need one computer per simultaneous user.
What you are describing, " Multiple simultaneous logins to a single computer" is not avialable on a regular Mac of any description, unless you decide to use Unix tools instead of Mac OS X.
Server will happily store files for many, many users and provide them to multiple (up to hundreds) of computers at "near hard Drive" speeds over Gigabit Ethernet. It can make the File Sharing part easy.

Apple will continue to evaluate the repair data and will provide further repair extensions as needed.
And a number of folks have found sympathetic managers and had the 2008 logic boards replaced, even after four years.

How to display more than 4 websites on my address bar's drop down list?

I want to display more than 4 websites on my drop-down menu (URL bar).
I know previous Firefox's you can have a lot more but now there's only 4 addresses and i want atleast 8 address as it saves me time typing...

This issue is caused by the FastestFox extension

Binding a component to more than one data source in Design Studio 1.3

Hi All,
Is it possible to bind more than one data source to a component in Design Studio 1.3?
I have 2 Bex queries- one having the current year data(say 06.2013-05.2014) and the other having the previous year data(say 06.2012-05.2013).
I want to create a column chart with x axis labels as 06,07,08.............01,02,03,04,05.
The 05 will show 2 columns for 05.2014 and 05.2013
The 04 will show 2 columns for 04.2014 and 04.2013
and so on
The 06 will show 2 columns for 06.2013 and 05.2012.
Can this be achieved in Design Studio if only one data source is possible for a column chart?

I don't see where this is possible out of the box as the properties for the chart show only one data source
Is the data coming from one InfoProvider? If so could you create one query that shows current year and with a BEx variable/offset show prior year?

Garageband: View more than 8 bars

Agh! I can add up to 320 bars to my song, but I can't ever view more than 8, and when I paste a sample, it cuts off at 8 bars.
How do i:
1. View more than 8 bars at a time (I think this in itself will allow me to extend my samples on the edges)
2. Read a sample that extends over as many bars as it is long?
I do not have a 'cog' on the ipad version of Garageband, just a wrench and there's no 'automatic' setting that I've found.

Hello Aj,
    To view more then the default 8 bars, all you have to do is a reverse pinch, put your thumb and index finger
on the screen and then spread them apart.however you can only view as many bars that you have selected in the Song Section,It looks like you know how to adjust the bars to the song, but just in case, you touch the ( + ) sign after the last bar, under the ( ? ), you can also use the Automatic option that will adjust it automatically.
     I am not quite sure I understand your question about viewing the sample, ( If you have a sample that is 16 bars long you have to adjust the song section to the length of your longest track in the case 16 bars ) if you could explain it in more detail for me I may be able to help.
    As far as 'cog' I am not sure what that means.

WiSM Issue - More than three APs working at the power above threshold

According to the RRM document: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk722/tk809/technologies_tech_note09186a008072c759.shtml , for each AP, the 3rd loudest AP should be heard at the power equal or lower than the threshold (default -65dbm or -70dbm according to different codes). But in our enviroment, I can see it is not true. Many APs have more than three neighbours heard at above threshold. Is it true in your enviroment as well?

It's the way I have deployed the network. When the number of access point increases (though in diff channel) chances of interference increases leading to decreased performance. So Adjust the power settings and the number of access points accordingly.

We have the same problem with our TOSHIBA e-STUDIO6540C. We've tried different versions of adobe reader, even acrobat and many times it will only print some pages of any given document. Did you find a solution? To me it sounds like a toshiba issue but just wondering.

Percentage Bar chart with more than 1 measure

Hi everbody,
i have a new big problem.
point of departure: i want to create a bar chart (stacked vertical) with more than 1 measure.
Vertical axis should be from 0% to 100%. Horizontal there are diverse, let's say departments.
Now it becomes tricky: Every department once more has its own under-departments.
So far so good. The measure is the number of employees per under-department.
So: in one bar you can see the complete number of employees per department AND the number of employees of one under-department in each block of this bar.
-> That's the idea!
Now: The whole chart should be presented in percentage.
-> Therefore i need to divide the particular block by the complete number of employees per bar and multiply it by 100.
My question is: How can i create a kind of dynamic variable, which adatps itself to the particular department

Looks like you need a dynamic variable to hold the value to calculate futher, for that using prompt(this should follow your criteria to get value) with prsentation variable, use the presentation variable in the report to calculate.

Depends on how strong your wifi connection is.
you can try a reset hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release.
