+1) if i have passed all oracle 10g dba exam but have not submitted my hands on practice
    at this situation
    a) can i attempt for 048 rac exam ?
    b) if i attemt all 10g dba & 048 rac exam & later i submitted my hands on practise then they will send my 10g dba kit & rac kit too ?+
You can attempt the 048 exam at any time. However, you will not receive the RAC certificate until you have finalized your 10g DBA OCP certification by submitting the course form and having it approved. If you have passed all the exams in the 10g DBA OCP path and you have also passed the 048 exam, but have not submitted the course form, you will receive the 10g DBA OCP kit as well as the RAC kit once you have submitted your course form and it has been approved.
+2) how soon i can attempt rac exam after clear all 10g dba exam,
    a) before submitted my hands on practice.
    b) hands on practice in under process.
    c) i can see shipping status of 10g dba kit .+
You can attempt the RAC exam at any time. If you have not submitted your course form and had it approved, there will not be any shipping status. You can view your exam and certification history at certview.oracle.com.

  • How to study for the MCSA: SQL Server Exams?

    Hi guys,
Forgive me if this question has already been answered but I'm simply trying to find out the best way to tackle the three exams required for the MCSA in SQL Server. I read a blog post on the Pluralsight website which, in discussing the MCSA in Windows
Server, it was advised that the best approach is to study for all three exams rather than one at a time as there's a certain amount of overlap.
My question is does this apply to SQL Server 2012 too? Or would it be bets to study for, and take, the three exams separately and one at a time? I'm just completing the Trainsignal (now Pluralsight) SQL Server 2012 Administration Essentials 28-video course
and was just about to begin going through the equivalent book when I read the blog post.
My background is mainly in desktop/server support (10years following an IT degree) and before now, have had no real exposure to SQL Server. I was asked about a year ago by my current manager to "keep an eye" on the SQL instances we have and began
by replicating the our fail-over cluster in a virtual environment for testing purposes and to gain an understanding of the set-up. I've since developed a keen interest in SQL Server and plan to get certified...
    Many thanks in advance.
    Marcus.
    Exams are:
    1
    Querying Microsoft SQL Server 2012
    2
Administering Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Databases
    3
Implementing a Data Warehouse with Microsoft SQL Server 2012

    Hello,
My humble recommendation is to study for each exam one at a time. I found 70-461 most difficult exam of SQL Server I have
taken to this date for its XML content and the extent of the exam. Go for 70-461 first.
You will find tips and recommendations on the following Channel 9 resources:

  • Studying for PL/SQL Certification, which ver of DB to install

Just a quick question, I am about to embark on studying for Oracle PL/SQL Developer certification and wonder what version of the database people recommend installing on a home machine.
Would people recommend Express Edition, Standard Edition, Standard Edition One or Enterprise Edition?
    Thanks

Given that the differences in PL/SQL between them are effectively non-existent, I'd recommend installing XE since there would then be no question of the legality of your install. Nothing that you'll need to know for the exam will require anything that you can't get from using XE.

  • Studying for 3.0 Certification exams -- Any useful books??

  • What to study for the Microsoft 70-680 to help me get Microsoft Certified

    Dear Microsoft Tech Forum,
I have taken the Microsoft Certification Exam 70-680, Configuring Windows 7, and failed the first time around earlier this month. The reason for this is very simple. I have been studying out of date material. You see, the book that Microsoft Press issued
for the Microsoft 70-680 which I have in my possession was published 5 years ago. I never found out until it was too late that the exam underwent a change in March of 2014. Now I need updated material to help me study for the exam. May you please suggest to
me some new materials I'll need to study for the Microsoft 70-680 and where I can get notifications that they changed the exam and what to study? I have the ability to do this again.
    Regards,

If you're doing self-study via book, then check Amazon to see what books they have and what the user review/ratings are.  That should provide you with information as to which book may be a better choice.

  • FROZEN SCREEN need to study for finals!!!

my screen froze while i was studying for my finals. i have tried restarting and force quitting but nothing is working. what do i do?

Boot from the installation DVD that came with your machine. Launch Disk Utility from the Utilities menu and run "Repair Disk" on your internal drive. Repeat, if needed, until no problems with the volume are reported. Then try booting as usual. If you still can't, boot again from the same DVD, or from the retail Mac OS X disc you used to upgrade, if applicable, and run the Installer. After the installation is complete, reboot and run Software Update.

  • Any other sources to studying for oracle 12 upgrade?

    Hi,
I have been studying for about 150 - 200 hours.
I have gone over self test software many times.
I have read Matthews upgrade 12c book.
I have read Sam upgrade 12c book.
Are there any legitimate things I can look into.
I hope to take exam within week.

I assume you also read the articles linked from my 1Z0-060 site, but since you didn't mention it, i'll point that out as a possibility:
Oracle Certification Prep: Exam details and preparation resources for 1Z0-060
One other possibility is Tim Hall's Oracle-Base site.  He creates 12c articles prolifically.  I link to many -- possibly most -- of his articles from my site, but he adds new ones all the time so I am almost certainly missing some:

  • What to use to study for the Clad exam?

Hello to all who may read this.
I will be going for my CLAD exam in just a few months and I hope that I will pass it and finally attain my certification.
I have a question for anyone who can answer it. What materials should I consider using to study for this test? I have been to the Basics 1 and 2, with Daq following that. I was a novice using LabView and could write a fairly decent program measuring temperatures and frequency sensors / transducers. However, I transferred to a new lab and haven't been able to even crack the book to maintain my level of knowledge for approximately 1 1/2 years. I haven't ever built a state machine or anything like that. My test will be in about 2 months, and I need a little direction on the study materials. Any help for me cramming all this in my head would be useful and appreciated. Preferably an app engineer or a clad, cld holder advice would be most helpful.
Please email me with any questions and / or advice you may have.

    thanx in advance,
    Myke

To add to one of the previous posts, if you can get a hold of a newer (7.x) version (while there are differences between 7.0 and 7.1 they're not huge) write programs using as many of the main concepts (Loops, cases, etc.,) as possible. It will help you in the CLAD exam, things that are theoretical will also be remembered in the practical part of your brain!. Plus, if and when you are ready to take the CLD exam being _very_ familiar with the environment will really help. The following only applies when you are ready to take the CLD exam:
As an addition to the previous post, (when you are taking the CLD exam), while you will be tested up to the version previous to the latest release, the test center may have the latest release on the computer you will use. Not much difference between 7.0 and 7.1, environment wise, but if all you have programmed in were the previous to 7.x releases, the environment (look and feel) of the "out of the box" installation is very different. The biggest problem that many have with the CLD exam isn't the difficulty of the problem as much as thinking of a solution and then implementing it within the test time. A good friend, and one of the best LabVIEW programmers I've known, wasn't familiar with the new lay out and didn't know that NI had given switches to make 7.x look like 6.x and the mental context switching and the looking for familiar tools in unfamiliar places cost him the exam (CLD) the first time he took it. The exam(s) are not terribly tough if you are prepared, but they are definitely not trivial either. Which is as it should be for them to have any validity!
    Study hard and good luck.

    Hi
I recently passed my IZO-051 exam .I am now preparing my IZ0-147 PL/SQL exam .I read many threads about the preparation guide .
I want to prepare from oracle docs .I have a doubt regarding two links .
    link 1
I am not able to find the pdf version of this

    link2

    I think
Oracle Database documentation, 10g Release 2 (10.2). is the latest release and i should go use this guide for the exams
although i saw there is no major difference in both the documentations
    (i mean 10g -10.1 version and 10g 10.2 version)
I hope i am getting it correct .
but also i found that not much matches the checklist of oracle of exam IZO-147 ( with respect to exam)
    Please guide me .
    Thanks in anticipation

Edited by: to_learn on Sep 14, 2011 7:07 AMIn general it is better to learn the latest version that is available unless you have a need to study a lower version because that is what is being supported (or you need it for a certification exam).
And in general te facilities of an older version is superset of the older version ... but the are exceptions, however for PL/SQL here is generally the case.
In your case ... 1z0-147 ... is orientated towards oracle 9i and has a slight tendency to reference its use in Oracle Forms. In fact this exam is an update of exams from earlier PL/SQL versions.
There is an altenative exam available, 1z0-144 which is orientated towards Oracle 10g/11g PL/SQL. From where you are at i would seriously consider whether you would be better following that exam.
While studying the PL/SQL 10g document for the 1z0-147 exam will be generally appropriate, ...
HOWEVER ... you may find one or two questions in the 1z0-147 exam that from a PL/SQL 10g2 Viewpoint the question may seem inappropriate or possibly the 'best' answer(s) would note be the same as for 9i PL/SQL. The best may to do this is to note any 'new features' since 9i to 10gR2.
If this all seems a little confusing the best thing to do is to take 1z0-144.
And if you still wish to take 1z0-147 learn wha you think you need to first and then review the new features.
I personally think this is yet another reason why 1z0-147 should be retired (as well as 9i DBA OCx) as the online manuals for it are now no longer available ... but hey wait they are still available and candidate has been unable to find them. What a plonker I am. Candidate still persuing mission to 1z0-147 should view one of:

^Hi.  yesterday, after trying to study on my iphone 4, i accidentally clicked okay on something that poped up while flipping through notecards.  it told me that it was "updating", i had my phone updated to ios7 but not 7.0.2..  i tried to shut if off to see if it would stop the update, because i didnt want it to do that.  after a few minutes i turned it back on and it was still updating.  it then shut off and a screen poped up telling me to plug my phone into iturnes.  itunes recognized my phone and said it was in recovery mode and i would have to restore it.  i have tried to restore it three times and nothing has happened.  it will go all the way through the restore process, say it is finished, and then nothing will happen.  my phone will not stay in DFU mode, i have tried for 20 minutes to get it to.  i have even uninstalled and reinstalled itunes.  i dont know what to do and i have been without a phone for alomost 24 hours.  how do i get my phone back to normal?  can i fix it or could at&t replace it?  or do i have to take it to an apple store? Please help me.

Has your phone been jailbroken in the past? If yes, this could be a reason for not being able to finish the restore process.
If not, did you try to restore it on a different computer?
