Stupid Me! What Was I Thinking ??
OK, I know, everyone on here is gonna' Laugh & say "WHAT AN IDIOT!!" I agree with you, believe me. A friend of mine gave me the M2452 Keyboard. I wanted to clean it a bit, so instead of taking the keys off & taking it all apart (the Correct Way), I took a semi Soapy Sponge and ran it along the Keyboard. This was 5 hours ago. Believe it or not, I did this with a PC keyboard many years ago & after a day of drying out, it still worked perfectly and was clean. So anyway, I plug it into my PC, which it was working with, prior to the cleaning, and now it does not work. It types different letters words, commands, etc... Could I be Lucky & perhaps after a day or 2, it may completely dry out and start working. I know it's not that big a deal. I can get another. Just wondering what you think and wanted to share my Silly story. I'll keep you posted as to what happens. Hey, what do you want from a PC User ??
The great trick when washing electronics is to ensure that they are fully dried before attempting to use them again. Often, assuming no residue is left, you actually can washed such things as keyboards, and even far more complex equipment, and return them to use, but powered them up (or in the case of a keyboard, connecting to a running system) before it's dry can cause shorts and component failure.
Sometimes, a good rinse with cold, clean, water and a lengthy period to air dry is all that's needed.
In the future, you might find a soft paintbrush is a less risky took for cleaning debris out of a keyboard, and for cleaning off key caps, Blu-Tac (for those in the UK) rolled on the key tops works rather well. Never found an equivalent in the US, but I'm sure there must be something similar!

Quit iTunes.

Do a few preparatory steps by making sure all iTunes components are not running and cleaning old files. See https://discussions.apple.com/message/20475394. Do steps 3 and 4. Steps 6-8 may be also useful but I don't know if they are essential. Some of the other steps are not necessary, duplicate steps listed later in my post or are perhaps even unhelpful in the process.
Replace the iTunes 11 application with iTunes 10.7. Simply dragging the application to the trash may not work. Lion (OSX 10.7) and newer systems have iTunes integrated into the operating system and deleting is a bit more involved. Two ways to do this are:
1. Use the shareware Pacifist utility (http://www.charlessoft.com/) to install iTunes 10.7 including all associated system files. Details at http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=16400819&postcount=6
2. Check this reference on how to delete the iTunes application itself:

After deleting the application there may be other files that need downgrading too. See the note about error -42408 at the end of this post. You may want to tuck these away somewhere safe until you have completed the installation of iTunes 10.7. I have not tested this but ideally if newer versions are not found then the installer will put in the old versions. This may include these files in /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ which apparently get updated by iTunes 11:

MobileDevice.framework
After doing one of the two procedures above you will have to rescue the most recent old iTunes library from your iTunes > Previous Libraries folder. Rename it "iTunes Library.itl" and replace the existing one in the iTunes folder. A newer version of iTunes irreversibly updates your library file so you have to replace it with the old one or you will get an error message. Note, this will revert your library to the version at the time of the upgrade and you will have to update any changes made since. See:

iTunes 7.6 is a DISASTER!!!!!!!!!!! What was Apple thinking when they released this update?????????? I can't play audio CDs, can't burn CDs. I've tried ALL suggestions in these discussion threads. I've given up on fixing this. I just want to get the songs I've recently purchased from the iTunes Store to my new iMac which, thank God, is running iTunes 7.5. I can't make a CD to transfer the songs. I think Apple should give me a credit so I can download all these songs on my new computer without paying for them again. How do you contact them? I've looked at all their contact info in the Apple site and none are appropriate to address this issue. I've owned an Apple Computer since 1984 and never had a problem of this magnitude. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got the same problems here. Since the update 10.5.2 iTunes doesen't work at all for me. I don't have any Plugins for iTunes or the system at all. I did a PRAM deleted, User rights fixed, iTunes new installed, deleted preferences, all with no help.
iTunes is still nor working properly ...
I thought it could be because in Switzerland we don't have the iPhone or the rental store, but since you have the same problems in NY, it's not that neither.

I clcked before I thought about it. Initial stimulus the word annual (means once a year).. The gotcha annual monthly fee. I guess 50 dollars a year may have been a dream cost. Also, CLOUD usually reference is to software you can run from any location on whatever computer you are using. If you install it directly to a computer it ain't in no cloud. So if your gonna use it might as well buy it. Much cheaper that way.
I clicked to quickly and downloaded the creative cloud trial. After that it was buy me trial. It took me a a little bit to figure out how to un-install the thing. I did use the adobe uninstall tool. Which got most of it. I did find it embeded itself into my Nikon View NX2 (really anoying). The Adobe team must really have a low opinion of it's user base.
I guess you can fool some of the people all of the time. Anyway... Just sayin.Great news! Now could you explain what it is you are actually trying to tell us?

Well here's my story, I'll try to keep it as short as possible.
I have a 4s on pre-order with estimated delivery date 24-31 oct. I'm in Ontario.
Today I decided to go to my local futureshop and maybe try to play with a live demo of the phone, but to my surprise there were tons of new 4s phones in stock for my carrier bell mobility, there were 4 people in front of me and the guy said maybe a 2 hour wait, so I said what the heck I'll wait and buy it today and just cancel my pre order from apple store. So I waited about 2.5 hours until the others were all served.
Finally my turn came and he got the new phone out for me and looking at my account he said I'm not eligible for an upgrade, I say I know it's no problem i will pay full price and just sell my old one like I did last time, he said apple forbids us from selling it outright for the first couple weeks. Boom all that waiting for nothing, now I have never heard of this and he couldn't explain any further. Does anyone know why apple won't let them sell the phone at retail value yet?The 5G is my first iPod and first apple product and have got to say I love it, it trully is a wonderful product however I must say that the lack of a proper case is very poor when you consider what a trully beautiful item the pod is, and it really should come with a half decent case in order to give a £300 paying customer half a chance of keeping it looking tip top. 2nd the aftermarket manufacturers have seriously missed the boat in not getting cases on the shelves in time.
My only other gripe is I feel that apple`s logic or should i say lack of control over file creation ( sub folders ext- ) is very poor, it would have taken very little extra code to put that feature in, anyway that stinks. -

What do you think of the new creative cloud cc that was just released? I'm using it now and I think it's great. It's cs6 on stereroids lol More new features that people who fully paid for cs6 should of had.
I do wish the cloud standard price changes to 29.99 a month for all users so everyone gets a chance to enjoy the cloud.I just downloaded CC, and still have all my CS6 apps as backup. Bridge CC (64-bit) is showing the same unacceptable performance I had with CS6 version. Can't believe that Adobe is so inept. I did fix the CS6 version but I forget how I did it. CS6 version of Bridge is near instantaneous. And it's not a matter of building the cache. It takes the program forever just to respond to a simple mouse click in the menu bar.
Photoshop CC crashed my machine, whereas CS6 version runs perfectly. Afraid to download any further apps.
Adobe 11 failed to install because it think's prior version of the that program is still on the computer. I never installed Acrobat 11 on this machine. Just Acrobat 10, which also got the stupid 30-day "refuse to start" bug, so I'm using Acrobat 9.5 which works flawlessly. Funny how the newer the code from Adobe, the worse it gets for its customers.

My daughter was trying to update her itouch and somehow lost everything on it, but itunes seems to have restored it back to what was on an older ipod she used to have. I don't think we ever registered her itouch, and I know she didn't back it up to the computer. Any chance of getting her stuff back? She lost hundreds of pictures.

- On the computer go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backup of her iPod.
Note that the backup does not included synced media like apps and music.
- Is she update the iPod via iTunes on other then the computer she syncs with the media on the iPod gets erased. Same for if on the syncing computer if the media was not in the iTunes library. -
My Macbook was hacked by somebody right after activating downloaded VLC player.
I couldn’t control my machine. Every thing was messed up! Finally after reboot I realized that even my administration password was changed. Stupid hint I was able to reed: What located in box above low case ? I used my friends computer and founded hot to fix my problem using Unix commands to reboot in a single user mode. I founded a lot of different solutions which had prity the same beginnings but very complicated continuation, which, I understood will force me to cach during restoration anuther crap – time bomb in my mac! Finaly I did restor. somehow. But still feel somebodyies presents. Safary messed up – I will send you a log Itunes – messed up. Speaker in a top menu – grayed, and I can’t control my volume. But the most triky thing – bouth my Apple keybords – internal and mostly bluetouth external also working and typing wired! I am sorry for my spelling, because I cant check spell for Mac’s Word (in Microsoft it was F7) I have also several attacks from my neighbors by community I know their names, because they are somethere very close to me – I can see them throuth FI-FI connection. They often kick-me out from my place and started to use my resaurces. And also Mackeeper make me a hard time!

Is there a way of knowing what was downloaded/received by an iphone at a given time?
A week ago I was abroad and kept data roaming at all times to avoid surprises. However, at some point I had to use data roaming for sending a message and unfortulately something of around 24MB was downloaded. Before that my data roaming consumption was below 1MB. I would like to contest this charge but for that I would have to know what was downloaded. My guess is that probably a pending app update was the cause of this but I would like to be sure. Is there a way of finding out details of network usage history?

This is indeed possible, at least in the newer versions I use.
Take the array refnum from the click event data terminal and get a reference to the array element. This refers to the element that was clicked, but you do need to work out how to get the index. My method is to use property nodes to get the screen position and size of the element and the screen position and size of the array, as well as the array's Visible Index property. For each direction, take the quotient of the relative position of the element (account for padding!) over the size of an element.
I suspect that taking the mouse coords and comparing to the array's sizes in pixels is similar, although I trust my method for events that don't have mouseclicks (what coords does Array:shortcut menu selection(User) return if you used the keyboard?)

I think we should have been given the option to have our books moved from iTunes to iBooks. All mine were CD booklets and inserts downloaded with the CDs, and the obvious place for them was in iTunes. As it is now, I can no longer use my own convention for naming, sorting etc. The sort facility in iBooks does not work. What do others think?

Lack of SD card slots what do you think
I don't know about the rest of you, but I like my stuff on an SD card. Not in a cloud. It seems Motorola, Verizon, and android all want you to put your stuff in the cloud. I'm sorry but I like my privacy and I like to access my content even when I have no signal. The cloud is for morons who don't realize their stuff can be hacked. If the Pentagon can be hacked, so can the cloud. Verizon, give us the option. Quit force feeding us stuff that a bunch of techno geeks sitting around and dream up. I have been a loyal customer for years and your trying my patience. I like my Droid Razr MAXX HD. It has served me well for 2 years in some of the worst environments. It has never failed me and I think you hit the nail on the head when you introduced it. But you took a moronic stance and quit offering it. You got it right and then screwed it up. The only complaint I had was all the bloat ware. Give us the choice. We buy the phone, it is ours, we should be the ones to decide what stays and what goes. Not some ***** sitting in marketing. If you want to introduce it, then do so but allow the people the choice of what stays and what goes. It will cost you customers in the future if you don't, including me. Have a nice day!!!!

You/we will never win the "argument" over what you term "bloatware". Verizon enters into financial agreements with the providers of that software to be able to install it on the devices. They make a lot of money (presumably) on this, so it is not likely to end. -
User writes on console(client) and sent what was written to server

As said in the previous post I have a server which contains a folder with files and I am sending the name of each file to the client. I managed to do this successfully. Now the problem is that I want the server and client to wait until the user will enter the name of what the client wants to receive from the server (i.e. choose a name from the list received). Though I am having a problem from reading from the console. Following is what I tried to do:

I altered my thinking to the following, the user doesn't have to specify an exact path just displays whatever is written then I will use the concat string and add what was inputted with the path that I want, by doing the following:

All of a sudden today my battery life just started dropping off on my iphone 4s. I charge it every night. I double clicked the circle button on the bottom to see what was running and there was minimal running but i turned them off anyway. I checked back in a little bit, the same, turned the couple things off again which were like phone and messages... nothing major running. Battery percentage still plummeted til it just turned off.
Are there apps on your phone right now?
I think one of your apps is causing this.
The only way to find out is to delete them all and then add them one by one to see what app maybe causing this.
Especially if you've gone thru 3 iphones already.
When you restored as new - did you sync back your stuff - apps/music or did you restore from backup?
