Stupid mistake, please help

i recently deleted quicktime to revert back to an older version and in doing so, i seem to have messed up my built in isight. it still works with imovie and photobooth but every time i try to open up video chat in ichat and skype, it says in ichat "camera is in use by another application" and in skype "no camera detected"
anyone know how i can fix this problem?

See if you can use the install disks that shipped with your iBook. If so, then again erase and try installing 10.5.
As far as retrieving your data (if you have no backup) before you do another operation on that drive your best bet is Prosoft Data Rescue. There is a free trial to see if it can recover what you need. But don't do another operation on that drive until you've downloaded and run it. Also, a service that has been recommended but I cannot personally endorse is DriveSavers.

Big problem and very stupid mistake, please help me

I was about to put leopard on my iBook g4 when on the read before installing thing it said if you want to start fresh delete your hard disk. I did that and the cd didn't work so now I'm stuck with nothing on my computer. Oh and by the way I don't understand why it didn't work, when I put the cd in and I restarted my computer it just made weird noises for a few hours and nothing happened. Thanks for helping!

hey guys i just unpaired my apple remote by mistake i think by holding play/pause button and the menu button for like 6 seconds and now i cant re- pair my apple remote with my ATV2 , when i click something on the remote the led light on the atv2 flashes twice and nothing happens, please help me , how do i re pair my apple remote?

If you unpair the remote, the Apple TV will (or should) respond to any appropriate remote, so the problem isn't that you unpaired (assuming that you actually did unpair).
I have had this happen a few times with my Apple TV 2. After power-cycling the Apple TV, it responds to my remote (and then I can re-pair it so that it won't respond to other remotes).

I deleted all my sync info, and I need it back I deleted it today by mistake please help me here.

Sorry, when you create a new Sync Key your data is erased from the Sync server and there are no backups made to the Sync server.

About listener mistake,please help me!!

Typing sqlplus and getting a response may simply mean that you have the PATH set up correctly.
The listener also needs to find things like the listener.ora file, and for that it wants to have the ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID.
When I have problems, the first thing I do in RedHat or SuSE is:
set | grep -i ORA
and make sure I have reasonable entries for ORACLE_SID, ORACLE_HOME and PATH
To set everything properly, I use Andreas' suggestion and enter
. oraenv ... to use the /usr/local/bin/oraenv routine (/user/local/bin is hardcoded in my PATH)
As a matter of fact, the .profile or .bash_profile for all the userids that are supposed to access or manage oracle have the lines
export ORACLE_SID=orcl # change orcl to the default SID you want to use
ORAENV_ASK=NO
. oraenv
ORAENV_ASK=
just to make sure the SID, HOME and PATH are set properly. You would be surprised how many problems this resolves.

A really stupid question - Please Help

Hi Just learning Java, so please forgive my ignorance
I've built a splash screen for an appilcation and cannot get the applicationMain, to initialise the Splash, this is the code I have:

Hey there guys. I could really use a hand here. I created a DVD for one of my friends after she went overseas, and burnt a copy, that went fine and sent it off. She then wanted part of it changed; so I did. I sent it back to her, and she said that during part of the film, the sound cut out and was silent. I STUPIDLY deleted all the original files for the project (movies, MPEG, DVDSP3 files everything) because I needed the space. All I have now is a disc image of the DVD itself, fully made. I do NOT want to go back and redit it, because that will take months. Is there any way i can extract the footage from the DVD, saving it as MPEG, .mov or something, to import back into Final Cut Express to edit, then just recreate the menus and burn another DVD? Is there a trick, software, anything that will help me? I'd like to keep the quality the same too, if possible.

I use SmartRipper , only thing is it only works on a Windows PC.
It lets you rip the mpg 2 file & sound file be it 'Dolby AC3' or 'WAV' to your hard drive then you can import that into a NLE programme that accepts these files & edit away...
or you can import the files into a new DVD project
(NO loss of quality at all if you don't re-encode the files)

Stupid friend please help

yea my friend stole my ipod cuz he likes the songs i have to put them on itunes the idiot doesnt even have an ipod now my music in my itunes will not go to my ipod instead there are his songs i need my music back on my ipod please help

so you plug in your ipod to itunes on your computer and it wont update with the music on your computer? when you plug it in, open ipod preferences and turn on auto update and pick a playlist or a few to put on it. close it, then right click on your ipod in the left window and choose update. that should delete the music that is currently on it and replace it with the music you want on it. if this doesn't work, you'll have to restore it. instructions are on the main support page here.

upper arrow key).$ksh -o vi
ESC k combination will put you in command mode enabling you use arrow keys for previous commands. Pressing i or a will allow you to insert or append to the command.

this will start from root / dir to search from any other dir substitute / with dir you want.

You should never try to sync your phone with more than one computer or you will lose your data. The pictures were not deleted because the sync process does not touch Camera Roll pictures (it only includes them during the backup step of the sync process).
If you had these voice memos on your phone when you last synced it to your first computer, and if you haven't synced to this computer since then, you could restore from the backup created during your last sync. This will replace the data on your phone with the data from this older backup so anything new will be lost. If you think that is the case, do not sync your phone again to the first computer prior to restoring from this backup or you will overwrite it and the backup will be lost. Instead, prior to connecting your phone to your first computer, open iTunes and disable automatic syncing by going to iTunes Preferences and on the Devices tab checking "Prevent...from syncing automatically". Then connect your phone and when it appears in iTunes on the left sidebar right-click on its name and select Restore From Backup and choose your last backup (containing your voice memos).
If you didn't have these voice memos on your phone when you last synced to your first computer, or if you have synced again to your first computer since losing your data, then your voice memos and other data are lost.
