STUPID Problem! Of course that email's taken.. by MY Apple ID! {Please help!}

A lot of people are having similar issues...
There has to be SOME kind of solve for this,
or have Apple's servers really gone that dumb..??
I made an Apple ID in 2007, last year, I linked that ID to an email address
upon Apple's request--a gmail account.
It's the one I'm using right now: quiet_dime
Updating to iOS5 on my iPad asks me to enter my Apple ID (login name)
and password. No problem; it's already in.
Then it asks for my Apple ID.
(Wait... Didn't I already..? Oh well..)
This is an email address, so I enter my email associated with MY APPLE ID...
Nope!
"Try Another Apple ID
This Apple ID is already being used."
Well, OF COURSE it is! By MY APPLE ID!!!!!!!!!
What the H3LL is going on???
It tells me if this is my account to reset the password (which I don't
understand how that would help anyway, because it's not asking for
a password associated with my email, just my login name...)
That doesn't work either.
Has there been ANY solution to this?
Because I've been looking for a few hours now and have found nothing.

(EDIT: Oh, and btw, I'm not keen on creating a brand new email I have to
check constantly in order to setup my seperate Apple ID for iCloud. This makes
no sense. I have an Apple ID for iTunes; why can't they be the same??)

I think I've found (part of) the problem..
When you start to set up with your Apple ID, the device will
automatically put in your iTunes username (like it did before...).
The problem is that the Apple ID form is asking for your email address.
This is why it asks you to enter in an email address (which won't work)
on the next screen.
If you erase the iTunes username that is filled in you'll see that it's asking
for "[email protected]" NOT your username.
I'm wondering WHY the device is setup to remember your username when
it's asking for an email. If it hadn't done this, then a lot of confusion
could have been avoided!
So I ended up reseting my password on my iTunes (Apple) ID, and to match them
up, just reset the password on my Apple ID..
I've reset the password to the same email address for Apple twice to the same
password. (???)
AND NOW MY iCLOUD WON'T VERIFY!!!!

    Welcome to the Apple community.
    This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
    However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
    The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone".
    You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, verify it once again, delete the iCloud account from your device and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

    Three hours if definitely NOT normal. I get at least 48 hours out my 2 year old iPhone 4S' battery with light usage. Did you do the iOS 7 update on the phone it self (OTA) or through iTunes? In my experience most problems are caused by the OTA updates. For this reason I ALWAYS update using iTunes on my computer.
    I would suggest restoring your phone using iTunes on your computer and setting it us as a new phone. This downloads a fresh copy of iOS 7.1 from Apple and installs it on your phone. Just make sure that you transfer all purchased items (apps, music, etc.) as well as photos to your computer before restoring as the restore will completely wipe your phone. Do not restore from a back-up. Yes, you will loose all your data on the phone but restoring a back-up can restore the problem you are currently having back to your phone. Once your phone has been restored you can manually sync back your apps and music.
    Before restoring you can also check to see that battery-killers like Location Services, Background App Refresh, etc are only turned on for the apps that really need it. I recently read and article that said that the Facebook app can be a real battery killer. If you have this app installed turn of location services and background app refresh for this app and see if that helps. Also go to Settings / General / Restrictions / Location Services / System Services and turn off all the options in that menu. Your phone does not need any of those to function. Constantly using your phone's GPS is a huge battery killer. I only have Location Services enabled for Find my iPhone and Background App Refresh is turned off completely.

    I'm sure I will be calling AppleCare, but the problem is, they charge for the phone calls don't they? Because I don't have money to be spending to be on the phone with a support service.
    In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
    When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
    Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?!

    If the phone is locked to a carrier then you will need the carrier to unlock it And only the carrier can do that.

    The card must be issued in the same country as the store you are trying to use. If you're trying to sign up for the US Apple Store, it must be a US card with a US billing address. If you're trying to sign up in India, it must be an Indian card with an Indian billing address.
    Apple will run a small charge, which will be credited back, to make sure the card is valid. If it is a debit card and you do not have enough in the account to cover the authorization, it will be declined.
    It is possible the currency conversion you mentioned may be causing a problem. Contact the issuing bank if you are sure you have enough in the account and you are signing up for the correct store.

    Okay, so you are sending mail from a work account on the iPhone 5, however if you try to send it to your hotmail or gmail accounts from the same work account, they are not received on the hotmail or gmail account? Is that correct?

    NO - I dont have any hotmail/gmail account setup on my phone. Its a new work phone and I only have work email account setup on the phone. I was just trying to send a test email to my hotmail and gmail account but failed to receive those using my work email account on iphone 5.
    I have tried receiving email on my work account on iphone, sent from my hotmail account (using web) and received it.
    Incoming is all fine and I am able to receive emails from all sources but outgoing is only sucessful if I send it to anyone using my company's email account.
    Sorry if my question wasn't clear earlier. I really need to fix this..

    You will need to obtain the original Apple id ,that is the only way to unlock it
    Speak to the original owner .If you cannot it is likely the iPhone was stolen and the activation lock is preventing use by a third party that is you

    Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

    The Arrangement tab only appears in System Preferences Displays pane if a second display is recognized by the system (the OS).  So it seems like your MacBook is not seeing the TV as being connected.
    Describe the video connection between MacBook and TV...  What type of video out port does your MacBook model have?  How is it converted to the type of port used on the TV?
