Stupid question, but i NEED an answer

can the ipod touch get internet anywhere (like the iphone) or only wi-fi
please answer cause im thinking about buying one

Only at wifi spots.
The iPhone uses a phone network that is essentially everywhere.
FWIW, Starbucks has dumped T-Mobile and are going with AT&T and will offer a limited free wifi at all it's locations.

    And I meant go to the apple store physically without preordering it online, and I meant the Southampton one. So could I just stroll in apple store and buy a iPhone 5 in Southampton apple store and buy the iPhone 5 straight away? Because I didn't want to have to wait? I just want to go in and buy it and go out with it, if you guys get what I mean? And felipeV if it is in stock could I just buy it and leave with my iPhone 5?

  • This may seem like a silly question but I need it answered plz

    This may seem like a silly question but I am pretty new to
    dreamweaver but I am learning it. The question I have is this. When
    your typing a paragraph and hit enter to make the next line of text
    it goes down 2 spaces. Sometimes I don't want those two spaces. I
    want no space between the two sentences. How do you put one
    sentence below another with no spaces? Thanks in advance. I seems
    to have figured out all the other basic stuff except for this one
    thing lol. Thanks for the help in advance.

  • Very stupid question, but i need answer

    how do i delete music from my ipod >.<
    plz answer

    How you delete content from your iPod depends how you have it set to update:
    If you are updating automatically then delete the files from the iTunes library and next time you connect they will automatically be deleted from your iPod.
    If you are updating manually, connect your iPod and click on the icon when it shows in the iTunes source list. Find the files on your iPod that you want to remove, highlight them and delete directly.
    To select multiple items such as all the songs in an album, click on the first track in the list hold down the shift key and click on the last track to highlight the selection. Then press the delete key.
    To summarise, you start by highlighting the song/video/selection in either the iTunes library or on the iPod song list as displayed in iTunes then press the delete key on your keyboard: Deleting songs or playlists from your iPod
    There are also a couple of ways that do not involved deleting from iTunes. The default iPod setting is automatically update with iTunes when connected. You can keep the automatically update setting and select "automatically update selected playlists only" then all you need to do is remove the song from the chosen playlist(s) and update, it remains in your library should you want to add it in future.
    Another way but more difficult to manage is to choose the "Only update checked songs" option in the iPod Preferences. By un-checking a song in iTunes, it will not be updated to the iPod and if already on the iPod, unchecking the song in iTunes will remove it from the iPod during the next update with iTunes.

  • Stupid Question but I need to know

    So I just bought an 80 gb 5.5 gen Ipod with video. One thing I notice about it is when I turn down the volume to the lowest level, right before it gets to where I can't hear anything, it is still fairly loud, and with the next click of the wheel it makes kind of a cracking sound before it goes all the way down to where I can't hear anything. Is this normal?
    It is not a big deal but if nobody else's does it, I may want to exchange it for one that doesn't do it. Has anybody noticed this?

    Neither does mine. If an Apple store is near you, take it there and have them check your iPod.

  • Stupid question, but i need to know nonetheless

    if i have written a program according to the following general format, where i declare an instance of the class W from the main method and then send the program directly into the method body to let it bounce around from method to method for awhile... how do i accomplish terminating my program, which i would eventually like to do (in this case after executing the 'lastMethod' method)? I realize that once i go to w.start(), i've left the main method, but i would like to return to it at some point to allow my program to terminate... maybe this is just b/c it's late and i'm not thinkin clearly, but could someone please explain to me what i'm not seeing here?? thanx.
    class W{
    //declare variables
    public static void main (String [] args){
    W w = new W();
    w.start();
    public void start(){
    //blah blah
    continue();
    public void lastMethod(){
    public void continue(){
    finish();

    Try System.exit(0); at the point you want the app. to exit

  • Stupid question, but I need help.

    Do I send my accessories with my new defective iphone 5? Because I already used the headphones,and It'd be nice to get another charger.Do I send just the phone by package?(I got the return package ready to go and it says only phone) The instuctions state " Do not return accessories,batteries,or memory. Seal the device in this pre-paid envelope." and in big words DEVICE ONLY. Also enough with the dumb stuff, do I get a new Iphone 5 box with all the other accessories or just the Iphone 5 is what I really wanna know.

    By new I mean like an hour old, just outta the box. Turns out my first phone was defective , my dad went to the apple store and just told me to send it back. He's not a specfic guy since he ain't fully english and my moms trying to make me send back the accessories too, what I want to keep . This whole week was a major let down because my FIRST phone was defective (something wrong with the screen,camera, mic (*** apple-because of you I had to put a parentheses within a parentheses) and other stuff). So yea, ******* it apple.So remember the question people, do I get a new box like the same one they sent me or just the another Iphone 5, hopefully not defective again.

  • Stupid Question but need help

    Hey Guys
    This is going to sound like a stupid question, but ive been wrecking my head now for about 2 hours on it, and cant find any help on the net.
    Im looking to create an image to add to a j2me application. And basically it cant find the image.
    The image is in my c:\images folder and its called pike.jpg, when i use the following the code it does not find the image
    image = Image.createImage("C:/images/pike.jpg");
    image = Image.createImage("C/images/pike.jpg");
    image = Image.createImage("C:/\images/pike.jpg");
    image = Image.createImage("C:\\images/pike.jpg");Yet when i place it in my working directory and use
    image = Image.createImage("/pike.jpg");It works fine, basically how do i point to the directory c:\images\pike.jpg in java
    Thanks

    Thanks. Now that is clarified, I can see from the documentation:
    The name parameter is a resource name as defined by Class.getResourceAsStream(name) . The rules for resolving resource names are defined in the Application Resource Files section of the java.lang package documentation.
    So it's not a file name. The string you pass must be findable via the classpath.
    So, if C:\images is included in your classpath (which you'll need to do for this example), then just use "/pike.jpg" and have that file live in the images directory only.

    I forgot my answers to my questions. I am trying to buy an app and it says i need to answer my security questions but i forgot my answers. Can i change them or somehow find out what my answers were?

    You'll have to reset them.  Go to https://appleid.apple.com, click on manage your account on the right, sign in, click on Password and Security on the left, look for the link to reset your security questions to the right.  This will send a reset email to your rescue email address.

  • This is probably a stupid question, but what does the red circle with a number in it mean on iCal? It looks just like the emails notification. I do not have anything do or up in my cal.

    This is probably a stupid question, but what does the red circle with a number in it mean on iCal? It looks just like the emails notification. I do not have anything do or up in my cal.

    Actually, another person on the "more like this" had the right answer. It meant I had a notification for an invite that I needed to respond to.
    Hope this helps you as much as it helped me.

  • Stupid Question, but.......

    I run TM on three Macs (two iMacs and a MacBook Pro). I really do not know much about TM other than once set-up it runs pretty much on its own backing up the computers. Does it back everything up including iTunes? I know that this is probably a stupid question but if it does back up iTunes, is there a need to separately back up iTunes to DVDs/CDs or another external drive?
    Thanks!

    Definitely NOT a stupid question. And the answer is . . . it depends on how much risk you want to take. As great as locally-attached external drives and Time Capsules are, they may not protect you from fire, flood, theft, or direct lightning strike on your power lines. So if your music (or other data) is really important to you, and difficult, expensive, or impossible to replace, then yes, you need an off-site backup in addition to TM.
    There are many ways to do this. Some folks alternate between a pair of portable externals with Time Machine, keeping one attached for a week or so, then swapping with the other in their safe deposit box, workplace, relative's house, etc. (You do have to tell TM when you do this, and shouldn't go much longer than 7 days between swaps.)
    Others copy their data to DVD/RW(s) periodically, and take them off-site.
    Still others use a different app, like CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper, to copy just their iTunes folder, and/or iMovie folder, etc., to a smaller portable external and take that off-site.
    Still others, if their data isn't too large, store a copy online, either via a MobileMe subscription on their iDisk, or with a 3rd-party service like Mozy.
    And there is an option within iTunes to do incremental backups to CDs/DVDs. I haven't used it, but it's been recommended here.
    This may seem a bit like wearing a belt plus suspenders, but backups are one area where many of us have learned, often the hard way, that +Paranoia is Prudent!+
