...what purpose does the odd rectangular white plastic piece serve?
Clearly, it holds the base of my iPod Nano Gen2, and leaves room for the USB/Dock connection cable to still be attached, but what is it for?

its a universal dock connector.. like if you buy docking station and your nano does not fit you would use that so it fits snug.

As information, I have been away from SAP and basis for about four years. Due to personnel changes, I'm now returning to it. During the interim, we upgraded from version 4.0B to "SAP R/3 ENTERPRISE 47X110" (according to the system information on SMP). We have some out-dated kernel issues and I am trying to work through them as best and as quickly as I can.

We have several different kernel libraries on our system. I'd like to know which ones I can delete so that I can prepare to upgrade from 6.20 to 6.40 (yeah, we are that far behind).
So, my question is:
For a particular instance, how do you tell which kernel library is currently applied?

I should mention that this system started out as an IBM RRR (Ready to Run) system many years ago. The RRR library still exists and is still used in some places and I am still trying to get all of the hooks out so that I can delete it completely.
In the meantime, if anyone from SAP is monitoring this forum, I would appreciate the source code for the R3INLPGM--pseudo code is fine if you don't want to release the real thing. I just need to know what it is doing because something is not right.

Plz help, was thinking of buying a classic until i read all the negative feed back, are they really that bad ? Do i wait for upgrade or waste my money now.
I was going to use the classic to replace my Cd player and use it in a Intempo ifi-01. If the sound on the classic is restricted will it be restricted in the sound system or will the system volume control over ride this?The purpose of the Tracert is to see where the connection is timing out. This doesn't always work because some nodes are programmed not to respond to ping requests as a way of preventing denial of service attacks
There are really two possibilities.
The IP address of DSL modem is leased, and while it is relatively static, it can and usually does change. You may now have a IP address that has an unsavory past, and consequently is blocked. Often unused IP addresses are used to hack, and/or attack web sites, and as a result end up blocked at the site. Unfortunately at some point most such addresses eventually get assigned to users, but the block will remain in place until someone does something to remove it. I've had that happen frequently after I moved and/or changed ISP's..
That is usually done by contacting the site administrator, and pointing out that the IP address is now valid, and is assigned to Verizon Communications.
The other possibility (and if you really are seeing more than 30 'hops', there is either a DNS problem, or router problem somewhere upstream, and it is doubtful there is much you can do except wait for it to be fixed. If it is has happened, odds are you are not the only one to notice! -
Since the update, when I use ical , and am on the day view, I no longer can scroll down through multiple days; it stops at one day only. Seems like a poor design change. Any idea how to reverse this?

I just update to iOS 7 on my iPhone 4s. The calendars on my iPhone are not keeping the information on the days that should be marked. The info is there in my iCloud on my computer, just not on my phone. Has anyone else had the same problem and what can I do about it? Is it at bug in the iOS 7 update?
What do you mean by "on the days that should be marked"? Are you calendar events displayed on the wrong days?

Hi, Apple community! This summer, I dropped my phone in the water. Due to that incident, I got a new iPhone. Same one, it is an iPhone 4s. On the day of purchase of the new one, I came across a very bad problem... My home WiFi disabled my iPhone's connection, therefore not letting me to use any WiFi-making my 4G Data plan payments sky rocket(I use my phone a lot while I am on the go). After 3 weeks, I realized there was nothing I can do about it. I contacted Apple for help, and I was assisted by a kind gentleman named "Christopher". He went into detail with the problem I was coming across, and he gave me a list of ways to solve it. Unfortunately, after many tries, I was not able to solve my problem. So, today, I am contacting you guys to see if you know about this issue. Oh, and I forgot to mention, I have upgraded to i.O.S.7 just this morning, at around 11:57 to 1 AM (EST). Even then, nothing is working. I am looking into scheduling an appointment with a local Apple Genius bar. What should I do? Should I just take the phone into a Genius bar, or is there any other way of resolving this?

Macbook (mid 2012, 9,2) has very poor performance since the day I bought it (less than 2 months ago)
Problem description:
My macbook is extremely slow since the day I bought it (which was less than 2 months ago)…Came preinstalled with Mavericks and 4GB of RAM. Upgraded it to 16GB hoping that would help, but that did very little…then upgraded to Yosemite. That just made it worse. Formatted the whole thing and installed clean Yosemite. Still, every time I right click, I get the rainbow loading icon and it hangs. Every time I open any file, or click any app, it hangs for a few seconds, again with a loading icon. Every time I play a song on iTunes or even VLC for that matter, it stops multiple times, every few seconds. Feels like it’s “buffering” while I’m playing a song off my hard drive. It’s been bothering me for too long now…Any idea what the issue is exactly?

I have downloaded several books into ibooks. Started reading one and closed it when I was done reading for the day. Now I want to access other books and when I open ibooks it goes directly to that first book. It does not give me the shelf to choose what book I want to read - goes directly to the first book. What can I do? Help please.
There should be a Library button on the top left. If not ap the middle of the screen to get it to appear.

I recently purchased FaceTime from the Application Store. After approx. ±10 meg, the application resets and starts downloading again. I have tried to download it at different times of the day but with the same results. I have been in contact with Apple support and have tried different options with the same result. I cannot download a new Version because in my Purchased List the applicaiton (FaceTime) is still there, and because I have halted it it tells me to resume. I can’t, because the same thing is going to happen. I have tried all the various troubleshooting tips supplied by my ISP and also Apple Support with no luck. I am currently working on a IMac OS 10.6.7. Has anybody got any ideas? Any suggestion would help. Thanks

Not much consolation but even new products can have issues and might need a trip to a store to return/replace.
The reason i asked about the LED on the AppleTV is that occasionally it thinks it's paired with a specific remote and ignores others - the unpair keypress I described is quick and free.

How do I display more than one month calendar in the day-view?
iCal has always had a nice feature that allowed me to display little, what I call, mini-month calendars while in the day-view. This allowed me to quickly jump to a day two or three (or more) months ahead (or behind) to check appointments on that day or set an appointment, without switching out of the day-view.
The mini-month was a small clickable calendar that looked something like this:

There was also a forward and backward arrow box [ < ][ > ] that allowed me to quickly scroll to the mini-month to find the day I wanted to click into. And, if I wanted to give it more room by adjusting the frame, I could display up to three months at a time within my day view.
Since upgrading iCal to 5.0 with the Lion upgrade, I can no longer display more than the current mini-month calendar on the day view.
This is REALLY inconvenient. Now, there is no way (that I know of) for me to stay in the day view and be able to jump ahead to a specific day two or three months out, or even to a day in the NEXT month without either going to the year view (a big waste of time) or click on the last day of the current month and then clicking the ">" day arrow to get to the next day which then shows that month's mini-calendar.
How do I display more than the current month's mini-month calendar in the day view on Lion?Unfortunately you can't do what you want. Many people have complained to Apple about this. I suggest you provide Apple feedback directly at http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html. They will not provide a direct response but hopefully if enough people provide feedback Apple will fix this.

Had iPhone for a while and generally happy, but it seems I still need to keep my old nokia E72 because I cannot seem to use the iPhone as a modem, nor does it support rSAP.
Also, while I like the threaded sms view, I'd also like the option to create sms folders to stash away my banking sms info, all of which comes from different numbers, and filled the sms inbox with hundreds of messages.
Lastly, having the meeting for the day diplayed somewhere on the home screen would be great if there were a way to do it. Yes, I can go into calender easy enough, but unless I develop the habit of checking it all the time, I often forget about a meeting whereas on the old nokia, it was always displayed.
What gives with the lack of flash support? Maybe ol Steve dislikes adobe, but it seems like a serious lack to me. Even the old nokia has some flash support.
Given that, I must say I love the seperate calenders and contacts. It's great to be able to keep home contacts seperate from work ones, but still have them on the same phone. Email is great two - full html support seems like a given but it works really well.rSAP has largely been supplanted by ABAP, which the iPhone supports. Most modern smartphones, including the iPhone do NOT store any information on the SIM.
SMS inboxes. Not much to say. I've never had a desire to do this. I understand it could be useful, but it's unlikely to change.
As for meetings on the home screen... Wait for iOS 5
Flash: it's not JUST that Steve doesn't like flash. Adobe has failed to produce a workable version of Flash for iOS. Blame has to go to both sides. I say good riddance to it. -
I cannot find a way to enable my child's iPad to require a passcode only at certain times of the day.
Yes I have used the clock/timer/ countdown - great to restrict how many minutes of iPad usage they get a day.
But as my child requires the iPad in school for class lessons the usage at school varies maybe 30 mins 1 day and a few hrs on other days
I want the ability to say set the iPad to not work between say 7pm and 7am, ( unless a passcode is entered) so my child isn't playing games on it in the middle of the night...
Apple I cannot see anything in the settings that performs this function
