Stuttering flash videos on Firefox 4

I just upgraded to Firefox 4 and noticed that Youtube videos (and other flash player videos) stutter. Doesn't matter if it's in 480p, 720p or 1080p, if the video is precached or not. It's not constant, but it does happen several times throughout the video and it's quite annoying.
They were playing perfectly before I upgraded to Firefox 4.

I had this problem, and here is how I solved it: some time ago I had "signed" up for the YouTube HTML5 trial.
As a result my computer had a cookie stored, and YouTube served HTML5 content.
Turns out that Firefox4 has trouble with some YouTube HTML5 videos, and it results in audio/video stutter/freeze.
Signing out of the HTML5 trial, and getting back to using Flash solved the problem.

Configuration I am using: OSX 10.6.7, MacBookAir, Firefox4.

Fan speed and CPU temp viewing Flash video in Firefox vs. Safari ?

My MacBook (two months old) running the latest Safari version (3.1) seems to be working unbelievably hard when viewing a flash video. The temps seem to cycle between the high 60s and mid 70s, and the fan blows at max speed constantly. On the other hand, when viewing the same flash videos using Firefox (2.0.0.12), there is only a slight boost in temp (high 50s to low 60s) and the fan speed hardly increases at all.
Has anyone else noticed this?
Why would the flash player on one browser be so much more efficient than another (Safari seems to labor, while Firebox breezes along)?

Well I guess the code in the Safari browser just wasn't well written. This is true even of the later version of Safari. It does work much better in FireFox, with no crazy heat-up or fan action.
I've pretty much given up on Safari now on everything by my iPhone and iPt, and only because I have no other choice.

How to download flash video with firefox only?

I leaned that I can download flash video clips using only firefox browser without using 3 rd party
software,so when a video starts playing I select tools- page info -media, then I should select the video
file and save it,I am looking for a file with swf extension in order to save it, but here is the snag as many video file names are so long that it is impossible to see the extension which is normally at the end of the name,what shall I do?

This is a follow-up to the discussion in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/956602
entitled: "Since upgrade, FIrefox 20 and Adobe flash player 11 eat up all my CPU wieh playing streaming video." I would post it there, but since that thread is "archived" I cannot. I wish there was a way that I could get readers of that thread to see this solution.
On September 3, 2013, I posted that this problem had been affecting my Windows 7 64 bit system as well: After playing a Flash video with the latest Firefox and Flash player, my CPU usage was 100% consumed by an unknown process. The only fix was to reboot, and its effects were only temporary, until playing the next flash video.
Yesterday, a routine scan by Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (MBAM) discovered, and recommended removal of, an application called Link Swift, which according to my Control Panel / Programs and Features, had been installed on 9/1/2013. I have no memory of deliberately installing it, and so I let MBAM uninstall it. Since then my system seems to behave normally again.

Sigh. No, it's not fixed. Despite my optimistic report of yesterday, after a few more web sites, a few more videos, the CPU utilization climbed to 100% of each of my four processors, my system became unusable and had to be re-booted. It is as if Firefox gradually consumes some resource which is eventually depleted, and not restored even when Firefox quits.

Skipping, stuttering Flash Video

and Microsoft found that if the media buffers video but never loads
the clip or loads the clip but the video stutters then your
DSL/cable providers using Network Address Translation (NAT) may not
be forwarding UDP packets properly. The solution is to disable UDP.
My question is HOW???? How do I disable the UDP on Flash?

I've tried all the troubleshooting from Firefox's troubleshooting guide to no avail.
I'm unable to view videos that require flash.
I can watch YouTube, but I have to enable flash first.
This has never happened before, but now it won't go away.
System: Windows 7 (64-bit)
Adobe Flash version: 16.0.0.287
Browser: Firefox 35
An example of videos that I used to be able to watch were from the Arrow and, ironically, The Flash TV shows.
Now this is the error I receive:
CWTV requires Flash Player 10.2.0 or higher.

the video plays normally only the audio and video come in breaks
for example 0,5 seconds play 0,3 seconds pauze repeat repeat infinity
i could play any video fullscreen in 1080p on any website in the past
i didnt made any major changes to my computer or any changes to flash or firefox
i am insured i have the latest updates installed and made a reboot to be sure
maybe there is some simple solution but im not a professional
with chrome from google i have no problems with flash i just prefer firefox
now i have to switch browsers each time i come to a video or i just skip the video

Embedded Flash video in Firefox plays for 3 seconds and stops

I looked at the forums for a solution but it didn't solve my problem. I'm running OS 10.5.6, Firefox 3.6.13, and Flash 10.1.102.64. I recently had my MacMini's memory upgraded to 2GB and when I got it back home, the problem arose.
Per this forum, I tried uninstalling Flash, restarting, reinstalling Flash, repairing disk permissions, restarting again, and trying to play the video. Same problem with any site like LiveLeak, FunnyorDie, or Break.com. YouTube and Vimeo don't seem to have the same problem. I tried going into Firefox's "Tools" menu, disabling the Shockwave Flash plugin, reenabling it, and reloading the video. No luck.
Is there anyone who can tell me why these videos suddenly stopped playing after I had my RAM upgraded? Help!

I disabled the option "interference robustness" everywhere I could found.
And additionally, I reconfigured the express station as a client instead as a remote WDS, because I stream from an iMac to an extreme station an finaly to an express station where my hifi components are connected to. No drop outs anymore for me.

Problems watching flash videos in Firefox.

I have a strange problem with Firefox.. I can't watch some videos in YouTube (for example). I click on the video, but all I see is a black screen.. I can hear the sound from the video, but I can't watch the video.. The process bar is not moving, but if I click on the screen I can pause the video.. But I can't watch it..
I'm having this problem since I updated my Flash Player..
In Internet Explorer I don't have any of these problems and everything is working there.. :(

I have the same problem with the exception that mine works with Youtube but not with other sites.
Everything including Java and Flash Player are all up to date and hardware acceleration has been turned off for flash player.
Flash Player works fine with IE and Comodo Dragon hence, based on number of related posts regarding this issue I am to believe the issue is Firefox or Flash Player (non IE) related.
So much for keeping everything up to date.

Longer Flash videos cause Firefox to hang.

I let the video download completely and it will play, skipping a few frames on occasion for approx. 10 min before the video freezes. The audio continues but Firefox hangs and takes about 98% of my CPU according to Task Manager, making it nearly impossible to run anything else. It used to run pretty good. Maybe it's the upgrades? Short videos work okay mostly, but the longer ones die.

cor-el: Nothing works. It is the shockwave flash plugin + >=v23 that is the problem. I've tried safemode, I've completely deleted everything eg moving the .mozilla directory and started a virgin firefox with the same results.

Problem viewing flash video on Firefox

just came across a very odd problem happening with Firefox only.
The video loads first time and plays, however if you click the next time it comes up saying cannot access/access denied, couldn't replicate in any other browser.
Basically it works fine first time after clearing the cache in FF.
it's odd, would need a resolution immediately.
- you should get a video link on the home itself.
