Style Cover SCR24 and Music Player problem

Hello; I need some help. I just bought a Style Cover SCR24 that I am using with my Xperia Z3 Dual (D6633), everything seems to be working normally with exception of the Music Player that when in the window of the Style Cover curiously doesn´t show the image of the album playng and the name of the music playing. I know that at least with the normal Xperia Z3 this appear, so I ask why this situation. The problem is not in the phone solely because the Music Player in there works just fine, its just with the Style Cover that this happens. Will it be that the SCR24 with the Xperia Z3 Dual (and not Z3) causes this bug? Do you have means to replicate this situation and tell me if it is normal happening, or could there be any problem of software or hardware in my Z3 Dual or SCR24?I already installed the Style Cover several times but the situation mantains.Waiting your answer. Best Regards; Nuno Oliveira

The style cover music player widget does not work with my Sony Xperia Z3 - and that's the main reason I bought it. The controls are greyed out. It tells me: "to enable, open cover and start music" but starting music in walkman or any other app makes no difference.
Waiting for a fix.

  • Problem with S60's Gallery and Music Player.

My question is about my phone's OS itself, I have an N81-3 phone (Symbian S60 3rd Edition FP1)
I had lots of videos, musics and apps on my 2GB memory card but yesterday I just noticed I can no longer access any of my images and videos using the phone's Gallery, also the Music Player does not show any of my songs, but I can access them using Tools>File mgr. and in Data storage mode on my PC.
I turned the phone ON and OFF, also removed my memory card and insert it again but still I can't see anything, gallery says "no images or videos"...
Applications and games which are on memory card are fine and I can still use them and problem is only about Music Player and Gallery.
How can I fix this problem?!
I must add when I tried to backup my images and videos, I noticed there are some files in the images folders which looks corrupted, their are like this: 8╟ΘukΩ+h.!~p or ─ë█#=
    Q
And when I tried to delete them I got this error: The file name you specified is not valid or too long.
or this one:  The file "File name" is a system file, if you remove it, Windows or another program may no longer work correctly.
Also these files show a size even larger than my memory card, my memory is 2GB but those corrupted files in Images folders show 12GB!

And I must add something else, I can't format the memory card, I have some important applications installed on the memory card... and I don't know how I can move them to phone's memory, a new memory card or take backup...
I appreciate if someone help me with both problems.

  • New n97 v2 firmware and music player /firmware v2

just wasted five hours manually updating album art on the n97 for albums thats artwork wasnt recognised using the album art/change function then as usual after being connected in mass storage mode refreshed the music library and it removed all the found artwork and some alterations to file names thanks a lot nokia for the five hours wasted tempted to send you an invoice for my time !!
the only way round this ive found is to use nokia music to add files then theres no need to refresh the library
but this is a pain as i already have most of my music in itunes and album player and when youre dealing with importing 3000+ tracks is terminally slow never mind having to optimise the artwork for the phone
other than that apart from that am overall v pleased with the new firmware kinetic scrolling more mb on c drive
and seems more stable having said that last night the phone was very nearly being repackaged and being sent back to nokia

I use Mediamonkey to ID-3 tag all my music. This is what the media player uses to identify music titles and album art.
With Mediamonkey, you simply drop and album into it, select search and it finds your album or you have the option of a manual search. Select save to Tag and It saves the album cover to the ID-3 tag and adds all relivant information such as
    Album name
    Album Artist
    Year
    Song titles
    Ttrack listings
    Record label
I have used this software with my current N97 and previously on my N95 and other Sony Ericsson phones. I have over 16Gb of music currently on my N97 and all of it is tagged with the correct album art.
Give it a go. This will solve your problem.

  • Music player problem after 2.3 update

    Hi all,
I updated my x10i to 2.3.3. After the update most of my music on sd card was not showing up in the music player. Some of them are, but majority is missing. Every piece of music is ripped with Windows Media player and transferred with PC companion. I can play them if I navigate there with file manager and open manually. Music player plays them, but says "unknown". They were all working fine before the update. How to fix this problem?
    BR,
    Antti

Unfortunately this appears to be fairly standard across the board from what I have seen in regards to the .wma file extension. What I would advise to get you around this would be to use the MediaGo software to transfer these files back to the handset so that they are converted to a supported format. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

  • 5800 v50 music player problems

i just updated my 5800 to v50 and had a few annoying problems with the music player... first when i opened the music player refreshing the library took eons and it seemed that it stuck at 10 files added... then i finally i decided to delete all the mp3s for the phone and add them using the ovi player but sometimes when i touch a song to play nothing happens and then i can't exit the player only by turning the phone off and when i do sometimes the phone gets stuck at a black screen and then i have to remove the battery and reinsert it to make the phone work again!! i don't know what other problems this version of firmware has but i regret updating!! before this i had v20 and was very happy with it

    1. Complaining may or may not bring it back in next release. The usual modes is snail mail to your local Nokia Head Office or the Contact Us button at the top of the page.
    2. Downgrade is not possible without a heavy risk of bricking the phone.

    Hi,
This same problem is with my n97 mini but not with the music player since I\ve never tried using it. It happens with me when I sometimes open my images or other stuff, the screen goes black and than it restarts itself or it shuts down. Even my WLAN is not working properly ( may something wrong in the settings. Anyways did you tried to update your music playlist on phone?
I think whenever you transfer songs, you will to update the playlist.

It is also occurs in mine, after added hundreds song it will make the music player and the phone itself going to hang.so i prefer to add the songs manually to the playlist.the playlist can be found under folder e:\playlist\ and the format is commonly used .m3u.if you dont want to make your phone freezing, add only few songs once in time and refresh the playlist, and so on.

HI even my phone has stopped responding. I had a backup file in .nbu format created using the PC suite. I restored the phone using the backup file but it didnot help me. I cannot play even 3 songs consecutively, the player is getting hang and I am forced to restart. Please do not update your firmware. All the problems after I updated my firmware to 40.0.005 version. I am planning to take my phone to nokia care and reset the whole software once again so that it comes with the factory settings.

  • Music player problem on E63

My music player does not work properly. It's not refresh more than 120 songs. I format my memory card but problem still here. Plz help.

    Hi Khakedbd,
    Welcome to the forum!
You can  try resetting the phone:
To reset some of the settings to their original values, select (depending on your device):
Menu > Tools > Settings > General > Factory settings
Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone mgmt. > Factory settings
To do this, you need the lock code. The default lock code is 12345. After resetting, the device may take a longer time to power on. Documents and files are unaffected.
Note: If your Nokia device support encryption of the device memory or the memory card, make sure you decrypt them before you restore the factory setting or your data may be lost.
If the steps will not solve the case, you might have to perform the hard reset (key in *#7370# using your keyboard) wherein all the data on your phone will be deleted. Creating a backup first is highly recommended. You can use Nokia Suite which can be downloaded  here. Using the Nokia Suite application, you can also check for updates.
Here are the steps on how to check for updates using Nokia Suite:
Connect your phone to your PC with a USB cable
Start Nokia Suite and select Tools > Software Update
Select the updates (if there is an available) you want to download and select Install
Try to reinstall the software if phone's software is up-to-date
Afterwards, try to transfer the songs and then refresh your music library : Menu> Media> Music player> options> Refresh.
    Best regards,
    Ricky07

  • N79 - Music Player Problem

I have stored my songs in 1 folder and other sound files in another folder. Problem is that, music player scans all folders, due to which, these other sound files are shown along with song files.
I want that only my songs to be shown in music player and not other sound files.
How to make music player to scan a particular folder only ???
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

It is a bit of an inconvenience, but you do have the most control over which music selections play when and in which order when you organize them into separate playlists.  In doing so you can also override the limited way in which the Nokia Music player orders tracks (due to the way it interprets mp3 tags) within an "Album".

  • Radio and music player switching with ipod nano 5G

With nano 5G how can i listen to the radio and then back to the music player where i have stopped before, without having to start all over again

I had the same issue with my 5g video awhile back. The computer wouldn't boot with the ipod connected as it was recognizing it as a HD and looking for an OS to load from it.
I solved the problem by going into my BIOS and removing "boot from removable media" from the boot list. I'd give that shot, though not all BIOSs have that as a change able option independently.
    -edit-
The specific computer I was having an issue on with this was an HP pavilion a1340n, but the BIOS I had installed was a custom cough*hacked*cough version I was using to install Vista and later 7.

  • Droid Incredible Music Player problems

I'm not sure if this has already been resolved here, but my patience has worn very thin trying to fix this darn problem.
So ever since I upgraded to Froyo months ago, my default music player started listing several of my music artists as "Unknown Artist", and some songs it doesn't even display in the music library, despite acknowledging that the songs are sync'd to the device.
    A few things to note:
    - All my music files are mp3's, and my computer's media player is Windows Media Player.
    - Several of the music files that I have are legitimately purchased songs off of CDs that I ripped into WMP.
    - However, even more several of these music files I have downloaded from Frostwire, but they all are still mp3's.
    - I am not looking to install a different music player on my Incredible. I tried doubleTwist at someone's request before and it did little to nothing in terms of fixing my problem.
    - I do not have any music sync'd on my mini-SD card on my phone.
    - Sometimes when I sync my music onto the phone, the music player insists on displaying the song/album title/album art/artist info incorrectly despite me already editing all of that info in WMP to be absolutely correct.
    - I have tried removing every song off of my Incredible and re-sync'ing it, yet the problem still persists.
    - Before I upgraded to Froyo, the only problem my music playe presented was not displaying album art occasionally. Artist info and everything else displayed just fine.
    - As I mentioned before with some songs not being displayed at all on the phone even though in WMP they still show up in the list of songs sync'd to the device, the only songs that I have noticed so far that this problem is with are every track off of Metallica's "...And Justice For All" (which I purchased and ripped from via CD) and DMX's "Party Up" (downloaded from Frostwire).
If anyone could give me some help or suggest some solutions to fixing this problem, I would deeply appreciate that. Since I am a very organized person, it irritates me to see my music library in such a mess like this and me not being able to fix it. Also, if speaking about programs like Frostwire is prohibited on these forums then I apologize, but I feel the need to mention that in case that may be part of the problem.

I just went through this with my TB upgrade.  With regard to album art, WMP sync is simply not copying the jpegs (^Note1).  The good news is that WMP properly organizes your music to enable "syncing" to your device.  Here's what to do:
    1. Mount your phone as a USB mass storage and open the $removable_drive/Music folder (where $Removable_drive is the drive letter assigned to your phone's USB storage).  (^Note 2).
    2. Select/Copy folders under "My Music" directory and Paste into "$Removable_drive/Music/" (^Note 3).
^Note 1: The jpegs are stored as hidden system files in a given My Music/$Artist/$Album/ folder but are not getting copied during a WMP sync.
^Note 2: Under "$removable_drive/Music/" you'll notice the same folder hierarchy as in your WMP libraries, e.g. "My Music".
^Note 3: Since the folder hierarchies are the same, you can just drag/drop the file folders into your $removable_drive/Music folder -- this is the way music is intended to be "sync'd" in Android.  This copies the hidden system files as well.  In my case, I first deleted the folders on my phone, so I didn't have to worry about over-writing files during the paste.
