Stylesheet issue in MSS page

Hi,
I am getting stylesheet issue with MSS page after Support Pack Upgrade in our SAP system.
Prior to upgrade the button was appearing with yellow background color.This has changed after upgrade and now there is no backgroud color for the button.Please suggest.

yes its mandatory to upgrade both FRONT END And backend to the compatible levels.
You cant have one at a higher level than other.
You need to read the notes which are regularly updated by SAP.
You can search for these notes by giving Stack level
Service.sap.com

Try this.
Type in the address bar about:config.
Accept the warning.
In the page that appears, in the Filter box, type network.http.max-connections. Change the value to 32 (which is probably set to 256 in your case).
Close that page. Restart the browser.

Issues with having pages display correctley. It does this in multiple browsers, Chrome, IE, and FF. Some pages display correctley.

I have been having trouble viewing pages in multiple browsers since last night. It has done this with me before. I am using an Acer Aspire and also Firefox version 23. I've tried looking online and following suggestions such as clearing the cache, retarting in safe mode, etc. Nothing seems to work. It's only on certain pages. For example- Facebook works and displays fine. It's when I go to websites like Amazon, Wix, Ebay, and others that I get the issue. The pages are displaying with a white background and just text/links and basic images. I've checked the page style and it is on Basic Page Style. Here is what I have:

Issues and Risks Page: How is this page's data displayed? PSI or Reporting Database?

The Issues and Risks page (issuesandrisks.aspx) serves up a list of issues/risks that are assigned to me. Is this a PSI call behind the scenes, or a call to the Reporting DB? Has anyone gone to this level of detail? Any help on how to

Very urgent Decimal issue in ADF page

Hello friends,
i have an issue in ADF page which was weight field, issue has below.
1) weight filed was validated that without entering 5 digit value in filed, example suppose i enter 12345 in weight it is showing that in small dialog box -weight value should be 0 to 9999.999 only. but it is let me to go next field and submit button. it is happening only in create page only.
2)but when i go to detail page , same weight fild is populated there - i enter invalid weight something 12345, it is showing that in small dialog box -weight value should be 0 to 9999.999 only. but here let me not go to another filed until i ENTER valid value.
create page weight filed need to work same as detail page.i am new to ADF development, how to check where this validation done and how to fix this.

If you use ADF BC, open the entity and choose "Business Rules". You can then add validation rules such as range limits under the attributes. It is usually best practice to include validation rules in the entity (model layer), this way they apply automatically to all view objects based on the entity and you are guaranteed to have only valid values in the database. (View layer validation may have its place as a convenience supplement.)

Having an issue with a page in the internet

I registered to the forum a few days ago but did not introduce myself. Please accept my apology.
I have a Blackberry style 9670 model, of which I am very happy with.
I was having an issue with a page in the internet, in which I was receiving errors on my device. My daughter has a Blackberry Curve and she was able to access the page without any errors. I can not figure out why I do.

I am not sure if this is the same issue but there was a bug that caused small exchange numbers to become negative which was resolved in one of the 11.1.1.3 patches, it is worth logging into My Oracle Support and having a look at the patches available.
9588147 – In exchange rates table, entering very small values become negative after you save the data forms. For example, 0.000071 becomes –7.1E-5 after you save the exchange rate.

Prompting issues on dashboard pages

I have a 3 page dashboard that conform to a form of hierarchy
-- Page one summarises the highest level of date by month (based on a dashboard prompt)
-- Page two shows the middle level of data based on a prompt from Page one
-- Page three shows the lowest level of data based on a prompt from Page two
For example:
Page 1 shows Car sales by Maker (Ford, Chrysler VW etc), clicking on one of these will take you to Page 2 which shows the sales per Model (Focus, Fusion, Taurus etc) and clicking on one of these will take you to Page 3 which shows the sales by Package (S, SE, SES, SEL etc).
This all seems to work fine, the date selected on Page 1 is passed to the other pages. The problem arises when I go back to Page 1 after drilling-down to either Page 2 or 3. Returning to Page 1 after this means that the chart & table there only shows data for the Maker for the Model and Package selected on Pages 2 & 3.
The only prompted field on Page 1 is the "month" field that takes its prompt from the dashboard prompt, I can't see why this is picking up selections from the drill-down & not just returning the full data set. Can anyone help?

Hmmm, further Googling suggests it may be an issue with Dashboard Page State Persistence in config.xml. Has anyone else come across this?

They're column based & each page has a seperate report. I hadn't protected the filters on the top level report - I have now & that seems to have sorted it.
Thank you, that was really bugging me. We're still in UAT & all these little niggles that aren't in the manuials are cropping up.

I'm having issue loading a page in Safari.

I'm having an issue loading a page from a wesite in Safari. I only have this issue with this website. I can't figure this out. I have tried resetting Safari, emptying the cache, clearing the cookies, deleting the history, logging on as a guest and everything else I can think of. It worked once but now no matter what I do it won't load. I see the header and footer but all the content in the middle is gone. Any suggestions?

Also, Linc's advice to try another browser is not just a good idea if you have troubles accessing a site, but if Safari is giving you problems, you can use the other browser for downloading any necessary files to repair Safari.

Absolute and relative addressing for stylesheets: issue with IE6 and pages not in the root

The following conditional comment gives me a problem when I arrange my site into folders (instead of all pages in one directory, or all in the root). The directories are built according to the site hierarchy.

What do you suggest I do to get the pages not in the root to read the dropdown_ie.css file when using IE6?
And I have a feeling that the way I import the styles may not be right, but I am not sure.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I solved this one by changing the relative addressing of my stylesheet location in absolute addressing. And I had to do this not only for the stylesheet, but for all addressing in the html related to this drop down menu:
href="http://mysafety.be/styles/dropdown_ie.css"
Changing the location of my files into subdirectories (and removing the spaces in the file names) also means that all my google indexing got screwed up; I submitted to google the whole list of addresses for removal from their cache. It will be another 4 weeks before everything is indexed correctly again, but I guess I better do this now before the site becomes fully operational.

The query runs fine (thanks to help from the XML DB forum). I'm now trying to use the docbook.xsl HTML stylesheet but I'm not sure of the following:
1) Where do imported stylesheets need to be stored for the XLST processor to find them and can we change the default location (DocBooks has loads of associated stylesheet includes)? I've tried several locations and corresponding hrefs but nothing seems to work.
2) Since the output contains a mixture of both DocBook and non-DocBook tags, I'm guessing/hoping that the XLST processor can parse the string extract and all what I would need to do is use is the <xsl:import/> and <xsl:apply-import/>. Is this correct?

Just closing the loop on this one...
1) After more trial and error, I found that the XLST stylesheet need to be in the same location as the *.xsql page. To check, I wrote a simple XLST to output HTML rather than confuse the issue with applying the docbook imported stylesheets. This worked as expected with the resulting HTML output, bar the fact that I now have a security issue with my stylesheet sitting in the /PUBLIC_HTML folder. For the moment this is OK since the application is for internal prototyping purposes.
2) If I want the XLST processor to parse the underlying XML tags, then the data needs to be returned as XMLType and not a VARCHAR2 string which my <xsl:query extract().getStringVal())> does.
Unfortunately I now have an enviromental problem retrieving XMLType data through my XSQL query. I believe this has something to do with my JDBC driver and/or missing libraries.

ICONS Not Showing Up on ESS/MSS pages

Hi All,
I'm Setting UP ESS / MSS on EP 6.0 SP9 with ERP2004 on the backend. The basic pages for ESS/MSS are displaying ok in the portal, but none of the icons for the menus are displayed. I checked the portal server, and all the images are there, but they are not located in the directories indicated by the URL's show in the properties of the ESS page.
Example: here is the URL of an image as captured from the properties on the portal page.

Here is where I actually found the images on the server (in 2 locations)

D:\usr\sap\DEV\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\portalapps\com.sap.portal.navigation.mimeservice\images
Any idea why the URL points to a different location? Any why are the images stored twice?

Is anyone having a similiar issue with images not displaying in the portal for ESS/MSS for ERP2004? I can go into the IMG and change the text associated with the Area pages. I have defined a server for the resources, and attempted to put in a URL directly to the image file, but no luck getting any images to display on the pages.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Issue with login page

Hi,
Can anyone help me with the following issue: When I try logging into the login page using the URL_*(http://hostname.domainname)*_ the page is re-directed to the same URL but with https:_ in front of the URL but the login page is not displayed/shown.
But when i remove the 's' from https:_ and press enter i get the login page.Once i Login with the credentials also it is again re-directed to the https:hostname.domainame_.
Again only if i remove the 's' from (https:hostname.domainame) and press Enter do i get the responsibility page.This is happening each and every time when i click on responsibility its re-directed to https: link and i need to remove the 's' from https and press Enter to get the responsibility displayed.
Can anyone help me out with this issue.

Do you have SSL implemented? If not, please review the application context file for any referenced to https and change it to http then run AutoConfig and bounce the services.
Also, check if any of the profile options is set to https and change it to http -- How to Search all of the Profile Options for a Specific Value [ID 282382.1]

Issue with normal page link redirecting to SSO page / forbidden page

Hi,
I am having an issue with a number of pages within my portal.
I have a 'List of Objects' that has been working for some time, each link in the list linked to another page.
Just lately a number of pages that are linked to within this list are not loading correctly.
When one of the items is selected, the correct page is initially displayed, but then after a couple of seconds the page is redirected to the 'Single Sign-On' page, or alternatively the page is redirected to a 'Forbidden' page with this error:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /pls/orasso/orasso.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login on this server.
(This page will also show up after the user tries to login when the page is redirected to the SSO page).
As well as this issue occuring at the front end, the same issue is happening when the pages are loaded from the back end, in the Navigator.
This issue is even happening when the page is opened up in 'edit' mode using the ORCLADMIN user.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Figured it out...

I upgraded my 3rd generation ipad to ios 6.0.1 and now am experiencing various issues. Neither Pages or Numbers will open. I just see a gray screen that says Pages or Numbers at the top and all of my documents are gone.

I upgraded my "new ipad" (the 3rd generation I think) to ios 6.0.1 and now am experiencing various issues.
1- Neither Pages or Numbers will open. I just see a gray screen that says Pages or Numbers at the top and all of my documents are gone. The icon that allows me to create a new document also does not appear. I went to icloud.com to see whether my documents still existed, which brings me to the 2nd problem.
2- It appears that all of my Pages documents are still on icloud, but all of my Numbers documents are gone. There were only about 10, but I access 2 of them nearly every day, so this is a big issue for me.
I went into Settings and all of the icloud information is correct and it "Documents & Data" is on. When I look at the storage, I see the Pages documents but not the Numbers ones. The next thing I did was turn my ipad off and back on, but this didn't fix anything. Since my Pages documents are still on icloud, I then tried to delete the Pages app from the ipad so that I could reinstall it, which resulted in the 3rd problem.
3- I cannot delete any apps. I can get all of the icons to shake and the small x IS available, but everything freezes when I click it. I can't do anything at that point except reset the ipad or wait until it eventually restarts itself. I've tried this with Pages as well as multiple other apps, all with the same result. I've also tried downloading a new app (which worked fine) and then deleting that one, but I got the same result.
3a- A small related issue to this that I am far less concerned about is that when the ipad restarts itself, it comes back on and the screen is really dark and I can barely make out what appears on the screen. If I enter my password right away, it stays that way until I go into Settings - Brightness & Wallpaper and touch the brightness setting (although I'm not actually changing the setting because it already shows that the brightness is turned up a little over halfway). If I don't enter my password right away and let it go completely dark, then click the home button, the brightness is fine.
So now I'm stuck. My guess is that I will need to restore it, but wanted to check before I take that step. Unfortunately, my laptop is on its deathbed so I haven't been synching my ipad to it and I fear my Numbers documents are gone forever. I'd like to try everything I can to fix these issues before doing the restore in hopes that I can get the Numbers documents back.
Any suggestions for any or all of these problems?

In a word, yes. In a little more detail.... When you restore from an iCloud backup, you must erase the device and start all over again. There is no other way to access the backup in iCloud without erasing the device. Consequently, you are starting all over again. Therefore, it would also be my assumption that Pages and Numbers will work again and that the deleting apps issues would be fixed as well.
If the documents are not in the backup, and you do not have a backup elsewhere, the documents could be gone forever.

Timed out issue in jsp page!

It is really amazing for me to see this issue in my application which I deployed in Oracle Application Server 10g r2.
I am using JDeveloper 10g to create jsp pages.
On one jsp page i am displaying 15 html tables for a report.
All tables have 1 query to get records from oracle 10g database.
Am opening one connection and than one by one running queries just before each table and rendering data through ResultSet
(which is scrollable).
If I test this page from JDeveloper, it is displaying fine.
But when I deploy this page in Oracle Application Server 10g,
and create a portlet and show this jsp page in portlet and open this page,
this page most of the time giving 'TIMED OUT', and a few times displaying report properly.
I tried PreparedStatement to run multiple queries for Oracle DB, but couldn't make it successfully.
BTW,
I checked my OAS log, it shows following error:
