is automatically selected ZNEU as message type?

Hi,
In MN04 or MN05 setup the output master record for your output type. Select the key combination, say, document type / pgrp etc. For the values that you use in PO, setup the output master record here. Print immediately check box just helps you not to be queued in spool list. That is not the one which prints immediately. Processing Time 1 - Immediately while saving is the one that prints. Go ahead and set this up. You will be good to go. It helps, don't forget to reward points.

Standard ALV Report default print parameters

We recently upgraded to ECC6. In some of the ALV reports for example F.35 (Credit Master Sheet) default print parameter has wider column specifications (X_65_255) as against earlier version (X_65_132). It might be due to flexibility in increasing additional columns but for our purpose X_65_132 was sufficient.
Now when we print with the standard settings the fonts are small. Individual users can change that default settings but due to large user base we want to default it at a global level but only for transaction F.35.
Also we want to turn off ALV Statistics at this global level. We dont want to add a task for end users.
Can this be achieved just for a specific report ? If not then for all reports? Please advise.

The no shading as well as many "extended print parameter" are no part of the OLD structures used by the OLD reuse FM, they are stored in memory (MEMORY ID 'EXTPAR')
Check if 1703403 - Missing interface for extended print parameter can be applied in your system ?
Nevertheless, could you try a single call like
call function 'GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS'

Transport of User default printer (Parameters).

Hi All,
We have just upgraded our dev and qa system from 4.6C to 7.01 (ecc). Our security team imported the users and profiles from Production system (which is yet to be upgraded). All the users and aurhtorizations are there in QA sytem and regresssion testing is going on.
BUT The problem is...
User default printer details are not same as production system they are blank in QA system. But we need this this default OutputDevice also to be transported.
Is there any way to transport the default OutputDevice for each user? as as production?

That the precise problem. USR01 of production is not equal to QA. I mean SPLD column of QA system is having blanks whereas in PRD it has the data.
Need to know ... how we can bring this entries from PRD TO QA. Is there anyway ...

This is setup in the output conditions which can be setup via transaction code NACE.

Problems with the print parameters of REUSE_ALV_GRID/LIST_DISPLAY

I would like to put the printing parameter IS_PRINT of the REUSE_ALV_LIST_DISPLAY. I can fill the structure but it doesn't work.
I've try the following cases:
- get the default print parameters, change this, set the print parameter (GET / SET_PRINT_PARAMETERS)
- set the structure print_cntrl of the parameter is_print
Additional I've test the programm BCALV_TEST_LIST_PRINT2. I can fill the selection parameter for pages, for the printer, etc. - when I debug, the structure is_print is filled, but it hasn't any effect.
I need this function to change the field armod to put the list into the archive.
Just, I haven't an idea. Perhaps has anyone this problem too.

Changing default printer in Purchase order

This is Mohammed. Khan, when we are working with these purchase Order T-codes (IW32, IW21, IW28, IW38) When ever we are trying to give purchase order print, than automatically it will take $MECH,at present this printer is not available in our landscape, if there I donu2019t know where this printer is defined exactly, I am searching this particular printer in Output devices(SPAD) but this is not available in that list, can any body tell me how to change the default printer, from purchase order printing list, and also let me know how to set different printer in the place of $MECH printer..

Try checking NACE transaction, for your output type the default printer assigned (in communication method). And also check defaults tab in user record in SU01 tcode.

Print parameters in Excel sheet

Hi,
I have a question regarding print parameters of an excelsheet.
we have a report program which downloads the data into Excelsheet. The users run the program online, and once the excel is downloaded, they will take a print out.
This excel has different tabs. The users need to change the print parameters like changing from lanscape to potrait, setting the margins etc.... and then take a print output. can we avoid this manual process programatically.
our developer has used classes to download the excel.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

So it is downloaded, then the user opens the document manually and prints it. Have you looked into OLE.

Using OLE, you can automatically print out the excel documents. I would also assume that you can change the parameter as needed.

Override default printer when printing ALV

Hi,
I have built an ALV OO report. When I click 'Print', the popup with the print parameters is defaulted according to my default user profile.
I'd like to change the default printer. I tried to use the parameter 'IS_PRINT' of the method 'SET_TABLE_FOR_FIRST_DISPLAY'. It does not work. I tried to use the function module 'SET_PRINT_PARAMETERS'. It does not work.
Is it possible to change those parameters at all? Any idea what I am doing wrong?

I found out that there is an ALV print version that is considered. It is by default V04 in our system (abap 7.02). I can change that version in transaction SALV_PARAMS. When I change it to V03, it considers the print parameters that I pass to the ALV class. When it it V04, it doesn't.
I am not sure what the impact of changing the version will be.
Any idea?

i want to set the default printer from Program not from User Default device.
i am using below fields to set...still system taking printer from user defaults...

The default printer in SP01

Hi all,
we have a custom program ZHSP_RM_AUTINV_0001.
we execute this program giving co.code and vendor number.
while executing it ( "Execute and print" OR "Background" ), selecting the output device as 'X'.
and when i go and see in the spool (SP01), the output device default taking 'Y'.
whatever output device i select OR leave blank while executing program, the default printer in spool remains 'Y' only.
please let me know how to change this default printer ?
i want to print to which ever printer i select during execution.

Hi,
U can change the Default Printer in SU01 (User Own data Maintainance).
After entering into SU01 give the user name and click on change button, here select 'Defaults' tab.
In Defaults tab in block Spool Control, give the OUTPUT Device name whatever u want.

Default printer during printout program

how does system get the default printer for report printout if the su01 for default printer field is empty

the program uses FM BP_JOBVARIANT_SCHEDULE to submit background job.
For user A , it always set the default printer to LPO3 even SU01 sets to NWO5,
while user B can get the correct printer NWO5 as per its SU01 setting.. how come both users can get different printer from the same program .
Initially i thought it depends on SU01 , but even user A has changed its default printer to NWO5, still system will take LPO3.. plz advice

I came across a issue regarding print options when issuing output from the billing document.
my first question is, this default print options seems to be coming from my output record as for print immediately option. where does Recipient come from?
my second question is, is it possible that I make the "print immediately" option default by user own settings in SU3?

The recipient normally is the person which is logged in, during the NAST-Entry is saved.
I know, there are several options available in the customizing, but I'm really not sure, so perhaps you can work through the official help located here:
Output Determination (SD-BF-OC) - SAP Library
The "print immediately" option cannot be set to the user-parameters via customizing. I think you have to use a userexit in the messaging to put some lines in there to make this work, but also please work through the official documentation.

Default Printer Settings

Am just setting up my first Mac. Have connected a Brother 5150D printer which works fine both on Mac and on wireless network but..... as most of my printing is duplex (to save paper) I want to set this as the default and get two-sided printing each time I click the print icon in Office Mac or any other application. I have set up the printer and gone to http//:127.0.0.1.631/printers and set the parameters to duplex - no tumble and set the duplex option in printer preferences/layout. Despite these default settings when I click the print icon it always prints single sided. The only way I can get duplex printing is to click file/print/copies & pages/layout/2 sided/long edge binding and hit print. I have restarted the Mac after changes, recycled the printer, deleted and reinstalled the printer but the icon default seems to remain insistent on printing single sided

Default printer setting for users

Hi,
We have a requirement.
User wants to get the print out at his own desk.
Can we set up like the print out should go to the printer assigned to perticular user who execute the transaction.
If user X is assigned to printer 123. and Y is to 456. the printer should default when he trying to process output (Logical destination). I tried maintaining Output type print parameters as USER PARAMETERS. and a printer is assigned to users own data SU3. but still system is asking for output device to assign while processing.

O/P is ZF12 and it is for printing Shippment TAG, in T code VT01N.
But i feel the solution might be general not specific to output type. any way it is not a standard form.
Can we create new condition record using Output device from SU3.
If it is possible also is there any other method to achieve this.
