SU05 User Migration
We are trying to move the time entry users from SU05 to SU01 (SU05 is obsolete from EHP4)
How can we migrate it and how to define the users as internet users only ?
thanks
Anands
Hi,
SAP provides relevant migration paths for specific applications. One example is [here|http://help.sap.com/SCENARIOS_BUS2005/helpdata/EN/42/ea507c35713ee0e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm]. There are some notes on marketplace dedicated to internet user migration. I would start with note 1324366.

Migration SU05-users to SU01-Users
Hello all, we have updated our ECC 6.0 QA system with the EHP4 update. As mentioned, in the OSS note for the EHP4 update transaction SU05 is no longer available but the note mentioned and no other notes give information on how to handle these users from this point forward. Through some posts on this site it appears that there is a function module SUSR_INTERNET_USER_MIGRATION that may be the way to migrate these users. I have also read there may need to be an internet reference user set up prior to running this migration but haven't been able to determine specifics for this user (for example, does the username have to be a specific one, what roles or profiles should the user have, etc).
Any help in this matter will be very appreciated.
Thanks,
ScottHi,
Have you checked [this thread|Migration SU05-users to SU01-Users;? Wolfgang's post looks like one which answers for you. Have a look also if there is a migration solution from SAP for your scenario.

Hello will there be a user migration utility in Windows 10? If so I would like to test it. Will the User State Migration Tool work in windows 10?
Hi Morgan Ecklund,

Exchange 2010 to 2013 users migration
Hi,
I am migrating users from Exchange 2010 to 2013 and facing a lot of migration issues. few of them are as follow.
1. It hung up at "syncing" and end up with a failure.
2. After a long migration i got the following errors
Error: MigrationPermanentExeception: Failed to reset the target mailbox after the move. Error Details:MaipExceptionADUnavailable: Unable to prepopulate the cache for user :: on domain controller xyz.domain.com (hr=0x80004005,ec=2414) Diagnosti Context: Lid:

Error details: Target mailbox connection was lost.
3. users migration is taking a lot of time although mailbox size is not big and both servers are in same datacenter.
Need urgent help pls....Hi,
Here are the general steps for troubleshooting mailbox moves:
1. If the move request didn't complete, view the Move Request Statistics.
2. If the move request completed with errors, view the move report.
3. View the Event log on the Client Access server running the instance of the Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Replication service that's processing the failed move request.
4. use the Exchange Management Console or the Exchange Management Shell to increase the diagnostic logging levels on the Client Access server for the Mailbox Move and Service categories of the MSExchange Mailbox Replication service.
For more detailed information about general steps for troubleshooting mailbox moves, you can refer to the article below:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd638094(v=exchg.141).aspx
Additionally, in order to narrow down the cause, I’d like to confirm the following information:
1. Are the problematic target mailboxes in the same database?
2. Is there a time boundary? After that, you cannot move mailboxes:

In 9.3.1 we have MSAD users provisioned. We need to migrate provisioning.
we tried to migrate the provisioning using FDM - User migration utility. But its not recognizing MSAD user names......We are getting " Username not found". though in SS these names are present.
................How to solve itHow many users do you have that are MSAD accounts?
Is the user you are using to run the migration tool a Shared Services Provisioning Manager? -
hi..
can u pls tell me how to do user migration from BW 3.5 to EP .
thanks in advance
nishaUse Prefs, lockPrefs or defaultPrefs in your file.
lockprefs obviously locks the setting so it can't be changed.
Prefs allows per session changes then reverts back.
defaultPrefs sets the settings and allows user changing.
You will also want to use the mozilla.cfg since we're at 7 now. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locking_preferences

User migration vom SAP DB to LDAP: Problem when userId not equal to logonId
Hello
I have to write a migration tool which migrates the users stored in the SAP DB to LDAP. Thereby the logon ID of the users in the SAP DB is not equal to the user ID.
The migration works fine and in SAP Identity Management (IDM) everything is ok.
But when I try to log onto the portal with a migrated user, the portal tells me that no portal role is assigned to the user. But the IDM shows clearly that the portal role is assigned to the user.
Investigation showed that when I create in the LDAP a user with the same logon ID and user ID, the log onto the portal works ok. As soon the logon ID differs from the user ID, the portal does not find the assigned portal role anymore, although in IDM everything works.
How can I solve this problem? It is important that the logon ID and the user ID are different as otherwise all the stored data has wrong references.
Greetings
Rolf
Edited by: Rolf Grüninger on Jul 19, 2011 6:08 PMProblem solved:
The naming attribute of the user account has to be set to the same attribute as the one of the user object and not to the user logon ID. -
Hi,
How to migrate all the worklist users (User details, roles) from 10G to 11G server?
In 11G we use default authentication.
Thanks in Advance
PradeepHi Pradeep
I am not familiar with 10g version. In 10g where exactly are the Users,Groups,Roles stored. Do you have any Active Directory (LDAP) that has all this data or any custom Authenticator like that. In 11g, there are many options to configure the Authenticators like from Weblogic Admin Console you can configure LDAP AD (any kind) and make this as the default authenticator. Or use and configure any custom authenticator. Or just use out of box default authenticator. The only limitation is for soa/bpm only one authenticator listed in the top (first) can be used. So currently if you have AD in 10g, then it just takes few minutes to configure this AD with 11g weblogic server. Refer Weblogic Server 11g docs for security configuration.
Thanks

AD User migration to new domain
I have SharePoint site in Domain A with 1000 users. There will be new domain B setup. I need to migrate ShrePoint Site from domain A to domain B. The AD users SID will remain the same. Below are two possible solution
1. Install new SharePoint in Domain A. Restore the site from Domain A to Domain B. Migrate all 1000 users using move-Spuser or Stsadm command.
2. Change the domain for System hosting SharePoint. Then migrate the 1000 users using move-Spuser or Stsadm command
Will the permission remains same in case user is migrated or what can be other issues.
Please remember to mark the replies as answers or vote as helpful if they help.So one thing to keep in mind is that disjoining/joining SharePoint farms from one domain to another isn't supported. Instead, the general process is to build a new farm in the target domain and recreate it, restoring backups of content/service application
databases as necessary.
Users cannot be moved from one domain to another without a SID change. Part of their SID stems from the domain they're a member of, and that changes when they're moved. There is a function called SIDHistory which stores previous SIDs from previous domains,
and this is commonly used. Despite that, you still need to issue a Move-SPUser, not only because their SID has changed, but because their domain name has changed.
One thing to note is that if you're using a Claims-enabled Web Application, you still must issue -IgnoreSID in the Move-SPUser cmdlet, regardless if SIDHistory is used or not during the migration.

Users migration from ifs 9.0.1 to ifs 9.0.2
I have 2 installations of ifs:
1) IFS 9.0.1.0.0 on Linux RH 7.1 (iAS) and Solaris (db)
2) IFS 9.0.2.0.0 on Linux RH Advanced Server 2.1 (Infrastructure and iAS on the same machine)
On installation 1 I've some 50 users, which I want to migrate on installation 2. I tried with ifsexportusers/ifsimportusers (and ifsexportcontent/ifsimportcontent), but when I tried to reimport on installation 2 the ExportSet created with installation 1, I received:
IFS-47003: ClassObject (ACCESSCONTROLLIST) has a different number of attributes on import system than in ExportSet. Correct and try again.
With ifsmgr I can see that ACLs in 9.0.2 have an attribute which is not present in 9.0.1 ACLs: COMPONENTACLS (datatype: PUBLICOBJECT_ARRAY): I think therefore that I cannot resolve this problem if I don't change the attributes in 9.0.1 (add), or in 9.0.2 (delete), but I think this is a bit unsafe...
Do you Know another easy and fast way to migrate users? (Yes, I can recreate users and copy their documents manually, but this is a very slow and error prone way).
Thanks, bye.
AngeloAngelo,
You shouldn't eb using the ifs export/import for migration we don't support using export/import on diffrent versions. Did you check the installation guide it explains how to upgrade from 901 to 902.

Core audio stutter after user migration (with system settings)
my girlfriends mbp recently fried its logicboard. Shes got a new 13" now, but migrated her user to my mbp in the while waiting. She also imported the system settings (machine name was changed) and since then my core audio is messed up. I use a Tascam US-122, Motu 828MK2 and Digi 003 and at the moment only the Motu and built-in audio drivers work normally. The other two stutter. Re-installing drivers for the devices did not help.
Any advice on what to trash or should i try to install 10.6 on top of this again?
This is a 3 month old install and i'm not keen on doing it again.anybody?

We currently have a single Windows 2008 R2 Active Directory domain controller, and an Exchange 2010 server. We are in the process of adding a child domain on a second Active Directory server for an offsite office location for a subdivision of our company.
The two locations will be connected via VPN.
Currently users exist on the root domain with Exchange accounts who will be moving to the new offsite company/location. We would like to be able to move these user accounts to the child domain while maintaining their existing Exchange mailboxes and
email addresses. Is this possible, and if so how would we do it?Hi Srinivasa,
According to your description, I think you have done all the preparation.

I bought a new iMac. It's beautiful.
I used migration assistant to bring over to the new iMac my old users and applications.
Now I can't replace apps in the application folder. I have to throw away the app I want to overwrite first and I have to enter my admin username and password first too.
Plus I can't run install scripts either. They flash for a second in the dock then disappear.
I have fix permissions and run YASU, but no luck.
Any advice?I'd first create a file, then use the Finder's menu option File > Get Info to verify what user owns it. Then perform the same operation on those application files. I'll guess that you'll see a different owner. To fix the problem, you'll have to change the owner of the application files.

OWA still lands at Exchange 2010 for users migrated from Exchange 2010 to 2013
I never had any issues with OWA redirection for a few users that I migrated from Exchange 2010-2013 initially. For users that I am migrating in the past few days, the OWA 2013 is landing on Exchange 2010 despite the mailbox being successfully migrated to
Exchange 2013.
Troubleshooting:
1. I have restarted the IIS Services
2. I have restarted MSExchangeOWAAppPool.
3. I have also checked the homeMDB attribute of the 2013 migrated user with the Exchange 2013 database.
I would really appreciate if anyone could share their experiences on similar issues.I have checked it, the migration status is completed. In regard to the namespaces, both CAS 2010 and 2013 are set to mail.domain.com; CAS 2013 is the internet facing. I have also checked the internal access for OWA, it's the same scenario. Migrating them
back to 2010 and 2013 won't resolve the issue in my case, because the issue persists for every new user that I am migrating.
I recently found the following when I login with a user who is not effected and then logout:
1. Login in back with the affected user without closing the browser or clearing the cache, it lands at CAS 2013 OWA.
2. However, I get the below listed error message when I logout.
Your request couldn't be completed.

This may have occurred for security reasons or because your session timed out.
