SU53 after logoff/logon

Hi, all,
When user gets "not authorized" message and runs SU53 he gets a report on failed authority check. However, if he logs off and logs on, the SU53 reports "The last authorization check was successful". Is it possible to keep the record of last failed check even after logoff/logon? I've heard that there's some setting somewhere for this.

Hi
As far as I know you cannot keep the records of failed authorizations for all the users after login and logoff.
Because of the fact that when u logs off the user buffer is reset and all these settings are stored in User Buffer.
To do this, you can activate the trace for a particular user using ST01.
But this is not recommened to activate all the times as it would take lot of system resources.

We've noticed during testing an issue around Local Group Policy applied via ZCM...
- user A logs in, policy applies correctly (folder redirection, taskbar settings etc)
- user A logs off
- user B logs in, policy applies correctly
- user B logs off
- user A logs in again, policy does not apply
The only way to get policy to apply again for user A is to either reboot or delete the local profile for the user manually
A few other details...
- Windows 7 SP1 Enterprise x86
- DLU Policy applied (non volatile user)
- user does not have admin rights (in the Users+ group)

Hi there! When I read your post, I realized that a clean boot or a safe mode might help. I suggest you read the articles on them if you are not familiar. Hi,
log on (as sap* to the portal) and navigate to system administration --> system configuration --> user management configuration --> data sources.
There you should find a dialog for (de-)activating sap*.
note that the navigation path could be slightly different (my portal ist set to german, so I translated the path on my own).

App-V Refreshing Apps without Logoff/Logon or Client UI

I have a customer who wants the following functionality:
- User gets added to AD group
- Client refresh happens without having to logoff/on or initiate manual "Update" on the Client UI.
I understand the task that initiates the refresh is contained in a scheduled task that runs at Logon, but would it be feasible in a VDI scenario with 200 servers to run this refresh so frequently that the user would receive apps almost immediately after
being added to the AD group.
I'm not sure anyone has even considered AD replication but all the DCs would be within datacentre obviously so that replication would be quick.

Hi, by GPO you can configure the 4 scheduled tasks to perform a refresh:
@logon global/user
@interval global/user (interval can be set to run for instance every hour if you want to)
De default refresh internval on the appv5 backend is set to 10min, but can be adjusted bij a registry key. In a production env. I would keep it 10min.

Can you boot into single user mode? If so, run fsck and post the results.

Problem after change logon module

i'm using EP 6.0 SP13
I want to change my logon page.
the branding_image & branding_text i was changed.
ther are so many forums available regard to logon page.
now i just want to change the copy right tag & remove saplogo from the logon page.
both are referenced in umLogonBotArea.txt
i'm done all step according to help.
now problem was after changing the logon module when i run portal it's give a dump instead of logon screen
when i revert back the original logon screen appear.
so how can i solved this?

Have you tried the option of going to Direct Editing and changing the logo.
For this goto System Administration-System Configuration-UM Configuration-Direct Editing.
Check the following properties.

ume.logon.branding_image=/logon/layout/branding-image.jpg
#Defines the second logon image (e.g. containing text)
(Type: String, Default: '/logon/layout/branding-text.gif')

Give path of your desired image in ume.logon.branding_image and <b>restart the server</b>

Task Sequence (LiteTouch.wsf) does not restart after first logon on Windows 8.1 deployment

I can't figure out what cause the issue.
First, this is my setup :
ADK installed
MDT 2012 (upgraded from 2010 update 1)
Boot wim regenerated from scratch
LTIApply.wsf edited http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2797676/en-us
Windows 8.1 configured and captured (my first Win 8/8.1 deployment)
New task sequence for that wim.
My issue is :
The task sequence windows won't show up only with windows 8.1 deployment after the first logon. (I tried with a Windows 7 with the same setup, works flawlessly)
I can see the desktop, but nothing show up. I have all the folders and files on the c: (MININT, _SMSTaskSequence LTIBootstrap). I clicked twice on LTIBootstrap, did nothing. I did an LiteTouch.wsf /start, nothing.
I recaptured my Windows 8.1 (it was on a virtual machine) and I did a new TS. The issue still there.

Someone can help me on this? I'll be very happy!

I am having a similar issue. I deploy a custom Windows 8.1 image to a system and I get through the OS install, but I end up at the user login screen without the task sequence resuming (thus not running any windows update, doesn't join domain, or any post-install
tasks). The built in administrator account also shows up as disabled.
The only changes I have made to the unattend.xml for that image are *maybe* to fix the IE 10/11 error that crashes the deployment by deleting the IE welcome tag, and I have no choice but to make that change when it happens.

ODI 10.1.3.5.3 and Windows 7 64 bits: ODI freeze after the logon window

I'm trying to use ODI 10.1.3.5.3 but i can't open the application.
It show the logon window and after click ok, ODI show the splash screen and nothing happens (the splash screen stay open forever and i need to kill javaw.exe process to close).
I'm using windows 7 64 bits and tried with java 5, 6 and 7.
Where ODI generate logs that are helpful enough to solve this problem ?

I dont think ODI 10 is compliant with 64 bit java.
You should try installing Java 32 java and configure ODI to use that.

I have Windows7 Ultimate (MSDN) installed on my W700 and installed the Thinkvantage Fingerprint Software from the Lenovo Windows 7 Beta Page.
Often i logon in Windows the Splash-Screen of the Fingerprint-Software is hanging. Is it possible to disable the Splash-Screen via start parameter like /NoSplash or a Regkey entry?

It used to happen on my W700 with Win7 x64 too. What's worse, the FPR worked after the initial reboot after installation but failed to work after a further reboot: it would then hang on "please wait" and increase the password logon time. I uninstalled the FPR software and no longer use it...
The mentioned problem has been solved by installing the latest fingerprint software: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=WIN7-BETA#autc (7wf459ww.zip).

To capture the error after processing LOGON function

I want to capture the exception after the execution of the LOGON function. Scenario i need to capture is when the user account been locked, password expired and password will expire in N days.
I made the user account locked and password expired through backend.
In the when-button-pressed trigger I make a call to the procedure where the Logon function is coded

Hi,
I got struck with the similar case. i.e.., if the user enters the login details incorrectly or login details are not provided then I've used exec_sql package. This package is been used to check whether a connection can be established or not. If the connection cannot be established then I'll pop up a message saying that the login details are incorrect.
Though my case is different than that of yours, but i think that this will give u some idea to kick start to your solution.

After booting up for the first time I was met with the slick Logon Screen...Sweet Right?
I login my menu bar loads, my desktop background loads and then I get nothing but beach ball...No Dock just balls...
Its been like this for over an hour now and i don't want to force a hard shutdown. I have searched online and am told that others had a similar problem and let their mac index for 24 hours and a fresh install should be performed...BOO!
What do I do? I am missing my OS X SL 10.6.8 now, can't work and I am stuck ...

Remote Desktop Connection Crashes after Interactive Logon

We have a GP on our domain with an interactive logon set. When using RDConnection to logon to a Win10 10074 machine on the doamin, as soon as I click the OK button to get past the interactive logon the RDC crashes and I am back to my desktop. If I take that
Win10 off of the domain and remove the interactive logon, I can use RDC like normal. Interactive logon is an enforced top level domain policy. It was fine in build 10041.
FYI? Suggestions? TY
(I updated a second Win10 to 10074 and the same thing is happening.)

This is probably due to the new LogonUI. Verify on the Event Manager if its failing. If that's your issue then try this in REGEDIT:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI\TestHooks
change Threshold from 1 to 0
This should revert back to the old login screen.
