Sub Asset No layout Change

He Experts,
My client req is -- when they are trying to create sub-asset number for all Asset classes,
depn.key, useful life & original depn. start date are not editable.
Please advise me how to edit dep key and useful life in sub asset master.

Hi,
In transaction AO21 you can check the screen layout for mainnumbers and subnumbers. You have the options 'Required', 'Optional' and 'No'. In order for the field to have ready for input you need to choose at least 'Optional' and allow this for 'SbN' (subnumber).
To check which screen layout is used in your asset class, you have to go to transaction OAYZ.

Dear Experts,
I am having the requirement that, all the main asset should have the memo value Rs 1.
For this I have specified the memo value in OAYI. But system is taking the memo value for Main asset as well as Sub asset.
But we don't want to keep the memo value for sub asset.
I hope, I am missing some settings. Could anyone please help me to solve this.

You need to review your copy settings for sub assets for your relevant class's screen layout in SPRO...Financial Accounting,,,,Asset Accounting....Master data....Define Screen Layout for Asset Master Data....Select the screen layout which has been assigned to your asset class in OAOA. You will not find any field for value copied. So it is not possible to avoid this happening becuase it is done a t CO code level.

Asset History Layout

Hi SAP peeps,
I have some question about the Asset History Layout. In my current Client e.g. 100, I ran the Asset History w/ the groups total only radio button click.I define my layout output and after seeing the report the Line items of each asset class are displayed. Which is not the output I want.
However, I tried the same transaction in other client e.g. 200, fill up the fields in Asset History interface, after I ran and selected the layout which is definitely the same in client 100. It shows the asset in groups total only. NO line items where displayed. Which is the correct output I want.
Any idea how to solve this issue? Take note that the layout I have is the same for both clients.

I don't see the point why I need to see the local and group currencies?
As I have mention:
1. when the radio button 'group accounts' is tick in one client (100) the asset still display the line items - Wrong
2. when the radio button 'group accounts' is tick in one client (200) the asset display the sub total per Asset Class - Correct

Process of Sub Assets

Hi Gurus,
Can you please tell me the process of Sub Assets in AUC and in normal assets as well?
How to capitalize it, retire it, what to do if any sub assets is gone for repairing?

Hi,
A sub asset is one ore more subs on an main asset.
When you use investment orders/projects I think you can't use sub-assets.
When you have sub-assets for AUC in asset accounting it is possible.
Sub assets you are use to make a group of assets that belongs to one object.
In the fieldstatus you can set up the copy rules from the main asset to the sub-asset and what you can change.
In the sub asset you can have different depreciation rules, cost center,.. from the main asset.
Like the boulding (main asset) depreciation is 40 years. In year 5 you do an investment then you say 35 years
You have to retire the main and sub assets separate
How and if to use sub assets is based on your requeirements, first the requirements and then to found a solution and not the way arround otherwise you have still 100 options

Asset screen layout - asset class maintenance level - where to configure?

When configuring the asset screen layouts, there are few maintenance levels eg. class, main and sub.
If choosing class level, where do we maintain such? I can't find a configuration for this. Or is there an asset class creation transaction?

You need to configure Asset Class first.
Financial Accounting -- Asset Accounting --- organizational structure -
Asset Class. First you have to define Account determination and screen layout based on these only you need to Configure Asset Class.
After Configuring Asset class, you will create Main asset base on Asset class in AS01 and create Sub-Asset from main asset as in AS11.

Settlement of Investment Order - Auto creation of Sub asset for settlement

Request your help on Investment orders settlement.
We are doing settlement of Investment orders to sub asset numbers, where sub assets are created well in advance.
Our client want system to create sub asset numbers automatically, while doing the settlement of Investment orders itself.
Is it possible ?, If possible, please let me know, what are the settings I need to do to meet this requirement.

Hiya,
Go to IMG --> Controlling --> IO --> Actual Postings --> Settlement --> Automatic Generation of Settlement Rules.
There is no SAP Standard created for settlements to sub-assets, so you'll need to create one using option 4 there "User-Defined Strategies for Automatic Generation ...".
Once this is done, get an ABAP Developer to code the settlement rule by creating a custom project in that same transaction. The rule will be similar to the SAP Standard ones created in option 1 of the same node.
Once this is done, create strategy sequences for this, and assign to Order Type(s).
If your users can maintain a basic investment profile when creating the Order Master Data, the developer can be directed to pick that data (aka fields) for the creation of the subasset number.

Automatic creation AUC sub assets at the time of settlement

Hi,
I have created the investment profile,AUC asset class,Source structuce(Hard,Pave and Soft) and cost element group(Hard,Pave and soft) . Then assign these three source structure to Investment profile.
I created WBS element under project and released the WBS.
After that I posted the values against the WBS different cost element . At the time of AUC seetlement thru CJ88.I am getting Three AUC asset with Sub number -0(1000-0,1001-0 and 1002-0) automaticaly. But Business is expecting to settle automatically(1000-0(Hard),1000-1(Pave),1000-2(Soft) respectively.
Is there any way to settle AUC sub asset wise(Eg: 1000-0, 1000-1 ans 1000-2)automatically.
Please share your suggestion on this.

I am trying to settle WBS to AUC settlement thru CJ88. In this case We need to settle WBS to AUC sub number wise 0,1 and 2 respectively based on the cost element. Is there any settings required to create AUC asset sub number wise creation?

What happens to iweb-built site when I upgrade from Leopard (10.5.8) to Snow Leopard (10.6.3), and subsequently upgrade to 10.6.8 or even 10.7? Will fonts stay the same? Will layout change? Or anything else change? Thanks

What happens to iweb-build site when I upgrade from Leopard (10.5.8) to Snow Leopard (10.6.3) and subsequently update that to 10.6.8 or even to 10.7? Evidently iweb has been discontinued. I have version 3.0.3 of iweb now but understand that there's been an update for OS 10.6 so same question goes for this update.
Will fonts change? Will layout change? Will widgets still work? Links? Will Google Analytics PlugIn still work?
(Since MobileMe is disappearing, I now save iweb site to local folder on my computer, then upload it to GoDaddy using Cyberduck. I run Google Analytics plug in on folder before its uploaded.)
My computer, MacBook Pro came with iweb, which has been updated to 3.0.3. Since iweb is discontinued, will upgrade of operating system just ignore iweb so that iweb will run the same as before? Or will it wipe it out? Or change how it currently works (questions above).

As you now know iWeb and iDVD have been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. HOWEVER, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
Currently if the site is published directly from iWeb to the 3rd party server the RSS feed and slideshow subscription features will work. However, if the site is first published to a folder on the hard drive and then uploaded to the sever with a 3rd party FTP client those two features will be broken.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

However, Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. Error when uploading Sub-asset numbers using LSMW

Hi All,
We have a requirement in which we need to first load Main asset numbers from Legacy system through LSMW and then in the next load the sub-assets for the Main Assets created.
We are using Direct Input method(program RAALTD11) in LSMW for transaction code AS91 for loading Main Assets.
And then using a file with similar structure, but with sub-asset numbers filled for creating Sub-assets using AS94 and Direct Input Method.
While doing this, we are getting error:
AU 256 Different asset class <asset-class> in sub-number.
I have seen that there is a similar thread in SDN but the solution provided there is not useful to us, so I am raising again.
I am not using Batch input method, as it is giving rise to many screen errors like "<Field> is not an input field".
Please let me know how to get rid of this error.

ensure that the sub-asset has the same asset class than the main asset, no matter which inout method you are using.

Report Layout Changed After Upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6

Dear Gurus,
I do functional test of every process in ECC6 after upgrade from 4.6C. I found all report layout changed without variant (it's happen to all Query/SQ01 reports ). So I've to assign manually the fields for the reports, and create a default variant then.
Why it happen ? Is there configuration or setting missed or this is standard while we do upgrade ?

Layout change for S_ALR_87012143/1099 Listings report

Hi Experts,
is it possible to change layout of report S_ALR_87012143 - RFKQSU20 by some means other then abap code change?
We need to add Vendor master related data (such as PO BOX , City etc to the output ) when report is being extracted as excelsheet. This sheet should later be used to submit to 1099 Express.
Are there any other alternative provided by SAP for S_ALR_87012143 - RFKQSU20 ?

As far as I know, all the relveant information required by you are
available for report RFIDYYWT.
In main screen of report RFIDYYWT:
-> go to'output control' section-> 'tax per business partner'->
click on 'configuration'-> from menu, click 'settings'-> 'layout'->
'change'-> select the fields from the right box and add it to
the left box-> click 'copy'.

ALV - Reflect layout change into internal table

I have an ALV :
CALL METHOD grid1->set_table_for_first_display
            EXPORTING I_STRUCTURE_NAME = 'Z_ALV_STRUCTURE_01'
                      IS_VARIANT = GS_VARIANT
                      I_SAVE = X_SAVE
            CHANGING IT_OUTTAB = itab
                     IT_FIELDCATALOG = gt_fieldcat_lvc1[].
This internal table itab has for example the fields: matnr, plant, stock, vendor
If for example the user changes the sequence of the columns in the ALV grid display into: stock, plant, vendor, matnr
Is there an easy way to get the layout change reflected in my internal table or is the only possibility to built dynamically a new internal table based on the front end field catalog?

Can't u use the std icone to create an excel file?
Anyway in this case you should use the method get_frontend_fieldcatalog in order to get the status of the catalog and so fill the table for the excel in the right way.
I believe the problem should be on how to create the table for the excel, i.e. you need to consider the sequence of the fields in ordert to create the table for the excel.

Create pdf from Word fails at page layout change

I have an 87 page Word 2010 (Mac) document with both portrait and landscape pages. Acrobat 9 (Windows) converts it perfectly to .pdf. Acrobat XI (Mac) cuts file off at page layout change. Is this a bug or have I missed a setting somewhere ? I could convert in chunks and then remerge, but that would be silly, especially as the Windows version copes OK.

Can you print a Word document to the "Adobe PDF" printer?
Is there an Acrobat menu in Word, and does it let you make a PDF?

Complex key combinations get eaten by keyboard layout changer

I am using gnome 3 and have a layout switcher on ctrl-shift. However any key combination which involves ctrl-shift (for instance ctrl-shift-n in chrome) causes a layout change (ctrl-shift) and nothing happens when I press N. I also can not select any text in words since it involves ctrl-shift + arrows while selecting by ctrl-arrows works fine.

I am getting desperate. Is it only me having this problem and no solution?

Layout change causes photos to be discarded

I love having a book making tool built right into Lightroom and Adobe has done a commendable job on the first release of the Book module. So far the interface has generally worked well for me. However...
Try this: Start with an auto-layout with 3 photos per page. Then, change one of the pages from 3 photos to 2 photos per page... Where did one of your photos go? Upon investigation, you'll notice that Lightroom randomly picks one of your photos to discard and does not place it in a new page or anywhere useful. It just gets dropped without a trace! Unless you're very aware of what is going on, you could quickly make a book with many missing photos.
This could be better handled in a number of ways, for example by automatically adding a new page for the dropped photo, or floating the dropped photo in the grey area outside of the page. In fact, the grey area could be very useful as a "working area" for shuffling photos around by drag & drop. Additionally, an animation could be used to show what's happening when the layout changes and a photo gets bumped off.
Also, and perhaps this is a bug - sometimes when changing from a 3-photo layout that only has 2 active photos to a 2-photo layout, the second photo gets bumped off even though there's an available spot for it in the new layout. The layout engine appears to sometimes prioritize the empty photo area over an actual photo - not good! I've also had instances when a photo get dropped when changing from a 3-photo layout to a different 3-photo layout. Very frustrating.
The photo usage count in the filmstrip is sort of helpful to find photos that were discarded but in my opinion, too disconnected from the layout area to make for a seamless working experience. As a side note, it should be possible in the filmstrip to locate where a photo is used in the book and vice versa.
Other than this, the Book module is a great start at book making from Adobe.

Your issue seems to be with the underlying file system, not with iPhoto.
Some background:
Events in the iPhoto Window correspond exactly with the Folders in the Originals Folder in the iPhoto Library package file (Right click on it in the Pictures Folder -> Show Package Contents).
You can move photos between Events, you can rename Events, edit them, create them, as long as you do it via the iPhoto Window. Check out the Info Pane (wee 'i', lower left) the name and date fields are editable. Edit a Event Name using the Info Pane, the Event Folder in iPhoto Library/Originals will also have the new name.
When you move files between Events they are also moved on the HD.
Couldn't convert path /Users/dominika/Pictures/iPhoto Library/Originals/2001/Inne/070_RockyNeckCT14.jpg" to an FSRef to put on the pasteboard.
means that, for some reason, the file system is unable to execute that move. (That's the reference to the FSRef). However, iPhoto thinks the file was moved, hence the !.
I've simply never seen this issue reported here before. Is everything else on your Mac working correctly?
First off:
Check your HD for errors with Disk Utility, see if that reports anything.
