Sub-folders and synching from hotmail/windows live mail

Hi there
I have a hotmail account which I use via my home laptop through Windows Live mail. I have various sub-folders in my hotmail which also appear in my Windows Live mail.
Whilst I can access my inbox and sent items from my iphone I cannot see my subfolders which I need to distribute a large amount of mail to.
Can anyone tell me how I can get these folders to appear on my iphone (3 - not sure which OS).
Also, when I delete items from my iphone they do not delete on my hotmail/live mail. Is there a way of addressing this?

To do what you want, you need the mail account to be set up as IMAP, which syncs the contents of the server with your device. It sounds like yours is set up as POP, which doesn't work that way.
I've lost touch with Hotmail, but I saw this which might help (you'll need to set up a new mail account on the phone to make it work)

How can I transfer Outlook Express / Windows Mail settings and contents etc, to Windows Live Mail?

As a system reseller and support provider, I know that this is going to be a major factor for many home users. I know that Windows 7 does not have a mail client by default, and I know that home users will be expected to install Windows Live Essentials.
Windows Easy Transfer doesn't transfer emails, contacts etc from OE/WM (although it will transfer Outlook).
Therefore, what is the easiest way to migrate from OE/WM to WLM?

Here is the complete transfer procedure from OE to WLM:
MAIL BOXES EXPORT
1. Go to Outlook Express > Tools > Maintenance Tab > Store Folder.
2. Make a note of its location and navigate to it. If you haven't moved it, it's here C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{GUID}\Microsoft\Outlook Express. You may have to show 'hidden' files in Folder Options to see it. Close Outlook Express.
3. Copy the whole folder (not just the .dbx files) to an external source. Remove any ‘Read only’ attributes via right-click > Properties.
As an alternative to 2 above, you could move the mail boxes to an ‘easier-to-get-at’ location, i.e. Open My Documents and create a folder named Mail Boxes. Now go to Outlook Express > Tools > Maintenance Tab > Store Folder > Change and type the location of the new folder, e.g. My Docs\Mail Boxes. Close Outlook Express. The store location is now easier to navigate to and it is not hidden.
CONTACTS EXPORT
Go to Outlook Express > File > Export > Address Book and select Comma Separated Values (CSV) > Export, select the fields you want or, for more safety, select all the fields and save it to an external device.
MAIL BOXES IMPORT
Go to Windows Live Mail > File (press Alt if the Menu Bar is not showing) > Import > Messages OE > Next > Browse to the location where they are stored and follow the wizard.
CONTACTS IMPORT
In Windows Live Mail > Click Contacts in the bottom left corner > Menus top right (or Alt+M) > Import > CSV (Comma Separated Values) and browse to the file you exported from Outlook Express.

Move a folder, sub-folders, and documents under that folder from one document library to another within a Workflow

Hello,
I'm building a workflow in SharePoint Designer 2010 (Unfortunately we are not on 13 yet), and in that workflow I need to move a folder (with all it's sub-folders and items) from one document library to another document library.
I tried a copy item but that kept failing, I checked content type, columns, and permission and it all looks good.
the other option I started looking into is to Create the folder in the document list and them move all the items under that folder to the new folder. However I can't figure out how to loop through each items in that folder.
Has this issue been addressed? or does someone has a solution.
I looked and searched and all I found was tutorials on moving single items into a folder, but not entire folders.

Why to take pain in creating a workflow that copies folders, sub-folders and all of its contents from one document library to another.
Simply open your source and destination document library in Windows Explorer mode and start copying your folder, sub-folders and contents that you want to copy out of the box.
You will find "Open with Explorer" button under the Library tab on the ribbon of document library.

I would like to move all my Email data from MS Windows live mail to MS Office for Mac Outlook. Can it b done??

OK.
Your provider supports IMAP and POP, so, easy way first.
Go to System Preferences>Mail, Contacts, Calendars and enter the ntlworld account, SMTP for sending and IMAP for receiving (use 'other' as the account type), this will activate the account on the Mac and (depending on how set up on the PC) either sync all of the mail, or only the new mail. Post back and tell me which.

Sync PC Suite and Windows Live Mail - Possible?

I had Microsoft Microsoft Outlook and Nokia PC Suite in Sync.
But I've changed my Laptop and now I have Windows Live Mail and Outlook

I'm using only the Windows Live Mail, that has a calendar also.
When I install Nokia PC Suite, it says that it syncs with Outlook
Express and Outlook.

I am fed up!!!
Apparently Nokia is not listening to their customers and instead diverts them to a damn Nielsen forum to write down all their frustration and needs again and again.
Why is it so complicated to provide an easy syncing tool between Windows Live Mail calendar and the N8 and C7 or E52 phones i.e. their built-in calendars (e.g..). Yes Nokia, I have bought all three phones within a time span of 5 months and have NOW FINALLY DECIDED to end my Nokia-sympathy due to lack of listening support. It comes as a joke that the internet is full of grief towards this standard problem and that none seems capable to do something. Apparently none wants to do anything as the whole situation looks like a "friendly agreement" between Nokia and Microsoft. They call it Marketing, I call it short-term-wannabe-software- regulation-policy as an aim to support, e.g. Outlook!!!
Goodbye Nokia. I'll turn to Apple! Please excuse my frustration

ITunes sync with 'Windows Live Mail' / (not local Windows Contacts))?

Are there any plans to add an option in the 'Info' panel's sync contacts choice dropdown for 'Windows Live Mail'?
There's currently "windows contacts", "outlook", and "Yahoo! address book" for contacts sync choices.
Problem is, in Vista, there's no more outlook express.
I used to sync iPhone to windows address book in iTunes, then in OE, you could add your hotmail account, then open 'address book', click tools/synchronize, and it would sync your windows address book with your online hotmail one.
Now in Vista, no more OE, there is Windows Mail(uses local 'windows contacts') and you can download 'Windows Live Mail' but it uses hotmail's online address book exclusively..
..and iTunes doesn't give the choice of 'Windows Live Mail' for contact sync.
so im not able to sync contacts between iPhone and Hotmail anymore.
Ideas?

Windows Live Mail ? Links to this forum not working correctly.

I got a new computer running Windows 7 and have been using Windows Live Mail.
This is where I get my e-mails for updates to messages on this forum.
The link for the message thread has a link that includes the # sign with the correct message to go to on the page.
Now with Windows Live when I click the link it leaves the number after the # sign and just goes to the top of the thread instead to the exact comment.
I can copy and paste the link into a browser and it works fine but if I just click it it does not work like it used to with Outlook Express.
Any ideas if this might be fixable.

My new Windows 7 only has Windows Live Mail so I have to use it unless I get another program.

Synching Blackberry and Windows Live Mail

Hi.. I am new to the world of Blackberry and not very technically minded !
I would be very grateful for some help with the following please:
I use Windows Live Mail for all my email addresses. When I delete an email from Blackberry this does not delete in Live Mail. How can I set things up so that when I delete an email from Blackberry it deletes the email from Live Mail too?
I would like to keep calendar on my Blackberry that synchs with a calendar on my laptop.. so information is viewed the same on both Blackberry and laptop and updates both ways regardless of where the information is inputted.  Is this possible to do and how?

Reconciliation between your BB and your email server will be governed by this KB:

From what you are requesting, it indeed should be possible. Therefore, please also check this KB:
KB13509How to reconcile email messages between the messaging server and the BlackBerry smartphone
and ensure that you have configured everything correctly. Also be sure that you are waiting an appropriate time length...it has been witnessed for deletion reconciliation to take up to 8 hours at times (it varies quite a bit based on a number of factors).

For this, it is indeed possible, but again depending on circumstances. You can reconcile your BB to the following desktop calendar applications:

Assuming you already have one of the compatible applications and it already has all of your data, then I suggest the following steps. It is advised that you be logged into the PC on an account with full admin rights. Further, under Vista/Win7, use the "Run As Administrator" option for everything.
1) Download, to your PC, the RIM Desktop Software:

How to transfer folders from Windows Live Mail to Mac

I'm trying to export my mail folders from Windows Live Mail to my new Mac but I can't seem to be able to do it. When I export folders as windows live mail and then import them into the mail on mac, I only get the first email in the folder and not the rest. I'm having a nightmare - can anyone help?
