Sub-Organization's Network control Policy used by a vNIC Template causes Warning

Hi,
using UCSM 1.4.(1i) if a Network Control Policy defined in a Sub-Origaniziation is used by a vNIC Template the following warning shows up:
* Description:
** Policy reference nwCtrlPolicyName does not resolve to named policy.
* ID: 792882
* Cause: named-policy-unresolved
* Code: F4526851
This does not happen if the network control policy has been defined in the "root" organization.
Any ideas on how to get rid of that warning?

I have had the same problem in my environment for awhile. I have been ignoring it because even though the warning says the policy can't be found when I check the NIC Templates in the server OS they are able to see the CDP information so the settings have been working. I found that if I just go ahead and create another policy in root with the same name the warnings all clear. I figure this is some buggy alert. I know the change in setting was getting recognized and if the vNIC Template can't find it then why would it be an option in the drop down right? Either way taking advantage of the fact that if it can't find it in the sub-org the UCS automatically searches for the same named item in the root org, I didn't need to change vNIC Templates I just had to let it find the new one in root.
I also find it interesting that no VNIC has this problem just VNIC Templates.

You are making some progress with setup of wireless network. Apparently there is reliability problem with the wireless connection. Perhaps you want to refer to following Apple support documents and start tweaking parameters in the router to improve the reliability. I used to have third-party routers such as Belkin and Netgear but switched to Apple Airport routers (Time Capsule then Airport Extreme for now) because of incompatibility issues whenever Apple upgrade Mac OS X. But since Apple develops Airplay protocol as alternative to Bluetooth for wireless audio/video streaming (with much better bandwidth) and must be deployed in any wireless network, there is no reason third-party routers not working for Airplay protocol.

has someone an example on applying QOS (marking cos) using a network segmentation policy with NSM feature enabled and VshieldManager/Vcloud on Nexus1000v?
I'm using the current default policy

Good day. May I ask if anyone experienced this error when trying to access remoteapps in Azure? We are using IaaS and set-up RDS using Windows 2012 R2 but we are getting an error below.
"Your connection was denied because of a Network Access Policy (TS_NAP). Please contact your server administrator.
Various roles and services (Broker, Session Host, RD Gateway and Web Access are installed on each VMs).
Please advise.

1> Open AD console > run query > export with CSV file.
2> Run “CSVD” command as per your requirement.
3>Download Manage Engine Software > Install to any computer of Domain member > Set credential for domain controller access > Export the customized information, as per your requirement with XLS, PDF,
CSV or Ect.
3rd option is very easy to export customized reports

Cisco Network Control System software

As far as I know, the NCS is an appliance. But today some people told me that he has a copy of Cisco's Network Control System software. I am confused. If what he said is true, can I install the software on the Windows platforms like Win2003 or Win2008?

Create standard Network > Create Activities in Standard Network > Assign Milestone in Std NW > Define Milestone functions/Parameters > Now with the help of this Std network number you can create Sub Network as you wants [In CN21 Transaction code input Std NW number then automatically system will create all subnetwork from that Std Network

Cisco NAC web agent Network Security Policy

I have a computer with an installed McAfee Antivirus that us up to date. However, each time try to access one of my client's server via VPN, I successfully connect to VPN using Cisco Anyconnnect but whenever I try to download the web agent and the device security check is being run, I get the feedback "Host is not compliant with network security policy". It also tells me a Remediation description of "please update your antivirus". (see attached screenshot)
Please note that I already have my McAfee antivirus updated and I have done everything to keep my computer in good shape in terms of security.
What is the possible cause for this?

That means the CAM hasn't received an SNMP trap for that MAC address. Double-check that the WLC is set up to send traps to the CAM: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/nac/appliance/configuration_guide/47/cam/m_woob.html#wp1290626
You can see if the CAM's received a trap for a specific MAC by looking under OOB Management > Devices > Discovered Clients.

Network Control System - one device for whole world?

Hi all,
we have Network Control System located in South Africa. Would it be possible to effectively use it also for devices in e.g. LATAM, Europe or Australia? Round Trip Time for these locations can be up to 500 ms, ocassionaly, during busy hours, this can go up to 800 ms.

OS X 10.5.7 Network control panel / diagnostics

Since updating to 10.5.7 the diagnostics accessed from the network control panel no longer show a correct status. That is, it shows both ISP and Internet as "failed", even though I am successfully connected to both. This persists even if I create a new location from scratch. Any suggestions?

I am sorry I am not sure what you are referring to. There is no such thing on a mac called the network control mac, control panels have not existed on a mac since OS9. Microsoft stole the term and they still use it on their systems.
If you are referring to the Network System Preference Panel found in
System Preferernces --> Network
Diagnostics are found by clicking on the 'assist me button'
If this is what you are referring to, when you say its not showing the correct status what exactly does it state.
Can you also state how you network is configured are you using DHCP or a fixed IP address. What is the make of your router?

IP Networking Control Files

I use both Linux and Mac OS X. Under Linux, there are IP networking control files but I don't see any under OS X. I was curious how IP information is stored under OS X, if not in control files.

Mac OS X uses its .plist for most elements of system configuration, including networking.
You can find the relevant file in /Library/Preferences/com.apple.networkConfig.plist
It's a binary plist file, which you can convert to text (XML) using plutil, or use a property list editor.

Those are the NNI to GBNET IPs for Dominican Republic. They are Network IPs. You should be able to ping them-that means they are working.

Unable to capture the Citrix network response time using OATS Load testing. Here is the scenario " in our project users logs into Citrix network and select the Hyperion application and does the Transaction and the Clients wants us to simulate the same scenario for load testing. We have scripted starting from Citrix Login and then launching Hyperion application. But the time taken to launch the Hyperion Application from Citrix network has not been captured whereas Hyperion Transaction time have been recorded. Can any help to resolve this issue ASAP?
