Subclips have different length in Canvas than in Quicktime Export

My subclips show perferctly fine and correct in the canvas, but if I export them to Quicktime (whatever format) the in and out points are not as specified and scenes are shown that shouldn't be part of the video.
What can be the reason?
Is this a bug? Do I miss something to configure?

After all other codecs show only a different delay, which you don't notice on short pieces. The in and out points are still not handled correct, even with Apple ProRes (HQ) Codec.
I noticed the wrong in/out export again with a 7 minute source (nearly 6 GB - recoded with Compressor, original file created by recording World of Warcraft scenes), where I wanted to cut a little sequence of 16 seconds (at minute 4:16). Set in and out points in viewer and created subclip.
Subclip starts about 3 seconds later than defined if exporting or showing in browser - in viewer it shows correct.
I had to set the in and out points incorrect starting 3 seconds earlier to get the scene I wanted.
Strange thing - until now Final Cut causes me more problems than solving ...

It addresses this exact issue. You'll be able to configure different pre-set snooze times, enter custom snooze times when an alarm triggers, etc. It's what snoozing should've been from the get go.

Is there a way to have different length needles on a gauge?

I am trying to simulate a clock face on a gauge using different length needles. I have tried extensively to change one of the needles, but it doesn't work. When I use the control editor to change the length of 1 needle, it changes the length of both, even when I right click and choose "independent sizes." Am I missing something? I have been trying to find the answer to this on the discussion forum for awhile now. I am using LabVIEW 6.0.2. Thanks,

Hi Matt,
It is an Interesting Problem. Using Control Editor Can be tricky and Frustrating.
Some times I use a trick for many such problems. What I did is this - Created two Gauges with Identical Scales. One is Smaller than the Other in Size. So we have a Large Gauge with Large Needle and a small one with Small Needle.
Now I color My small Gauge - Border, Face and Center Pivot - Transparent. I leave the needle as is.
Third I Put the Smaller Gauge on top of the Larger Gauge. Make Sure the Large Gauge is Moved Backwards and the smaller Gauge (Transparent) is in Front.
Now You actually are Looking at a Gauge With two Sized Needles!! Purists Might say, hey thats not fair. But I had the clock face ready in 5 Minutes Flat!!

After update all of my subclips have different in and out points

After updating Premiere Pro CC all of my subclips now have different in- and out points. It´s hundreds of subclips and they have nothing to do with how they´ve been before. The In-Point is always the In-Point from the original Master-Clip, the out-Point seems to be totally random. So I can´t work with them at all. Can I go back to the previous version or can I get my subclips back somehow? THANKS!!

Mac OS X's Desktop is the de facto location for downloaded files, and for many users, in-progress works that will either be organized later or deleted altogether. The desktop can also be gluttonous, however, becoming a catch-all for files that linger indefinitely.
Unfortunately - aside from the effect of disarray it creates - keeping dozens or hundreds of files on the Desktop can significantly degrade performance. Not necessarily because the system is sluggish with regard to rendering the icons on the desktop and storing them in memory persistently (which may be true in some cases), but more likely because keeping an excessive number of items on the Desktop can cause the windowserver process to generate reams of logfiles, which obviously draws resources away from other system tasks. Each of your icons on your desktop is stored as a window in the window server, not as an alias. The more you have stored, the more strain it puts on the window server. Check your desktop for unnecessary icons and clear them out.
Keeping as few items as possible on the Desktop can prove a surprisingly effective performance boon. Even creating a single folder on your Desktop and placing all current and future clutter inside, then logging out and back in can provide an immediately noticeable speed boost, particularly for the Finder.
And it is why Apple invented 'Stacks' for Leopard.

How to divide the waveform into small pieces (which have different lengths)

I have a long waveform which is just a combination of a waveform + 0 + another waveform + 0 +...I would like to have small pieces of the long waveform. The problem is I cannot think of anyway to detect the 0 in order to seperate them. Any hint would be appreciated.

How are the zero segments generated? Are they exactly zero or average zero but with some noise? Do you know the length of the zero segments? Is it always the same? Do any of the waveforms have segments where the real data is zero, and, if so, how long can those segments be?
My first thought is to use In Range & Coerce with limits just slightly above and below zero. The check the length of any set of samples not In Range.

Help - Pages have different lengths in Safari (and Chrome) vs Firefox

I have a website created with iWeb '09 that contains some rather long HTML tables that I inserted using HTML snippets. These tables display properly in Safari v 5.0.2 and Chrome (6.0.472.59), but get cut off at the bottom when I use Firefox 3.6.9.

I had the same problem... I am using phpbb3 table/message-forums on my site, and used an iframe that I found on a youtube instructional video, and it worked fine on safari and chrome, but the forum/table was only like 3 inches long on firefox.
I tried the code in the response above in place of my original iframe code:

and I entered the same height/width dimensions from my original iframe and ended up with an even smaller table. So I went back to my original iframe code and made the height 1500px instead of 100% which is below:

Read two lvm files with different length

I'm trying to read to same graph two different measurements with same starting point, starting point is OK.
But when the shorter file is coming to the end the VI stops with following message:
"Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW: End of file encountered.
=========================
NI-488: Invalid argument or arguments to function call."
How can I come over this and get both measurements into same graph in their full length with same starting point?
PS I have attached the VI file, a short and a long measurement file. Changed the file extension from LVM to TXT

Apprently your LabVIEW is set with the option "enable automatic error handling", you can change this in tools >> options block diagram untick the option.
Doing this will only get ride of the dialog when the error occurs but not get read of the error.
So you are reading your files chunk by chunk in your while loop, so at some point you will get to the end of your files, when you do the VI you are using return an error 4 "end of file reached", from here you have different possibilities, if you want to be able to read files that have different length, here is a quick way to ignore the "end of file" error on both files independantly.

this is an issue with my client.how shud i revert back the mail..
Can you see why the R3 client QTY300 would have different BI delta triggers than the R3 client PRD300?
We are using standard extractor 2LIS_11_VASCL, and in test cases in QTY300, we were able to make some changes and see the results of the changes in tcode rsa3. When we try he same changes in PRD300, no changes are triggered and tcode rsa3 shows no changes.
Is there a way to see if the extractor is setup differently in QTY than PRD?

In order to get your delta in RSA3 you must enter your target system (your BW) and change the mode to D...
Or open RSA7 and check there if you have data....

To examine the conversion settings in Acrobat, do the following:
1. Select Edit > Preferences
2. In the preferences dialog, select the "Convert From PDF" category.
3. In the "Converting From PDF" list, select "Excel workbook".
4. Click the "Edit Settings" button to view your conversion settings.

Video Different Length Than Audio

I created a reference file in FCP and encoded through compressor. For some reason, the video length is a few frames longer than the audio. This is confusing my timeline in DVDSP.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I am shooting and capturing in DV-CAM, editing in Final Cut 5, and exporting using Compressor for DVD. I'm not doing any sample rate conversions or changes in frame rate.
The interesting thing was, after I investigated further, on some of the clips, Final Cut and DVD Studio Pro saw the compressed MPEG-2 video as being different lengths. Also, even though the audio and video showed as being up to 1 second different in length in DSP (on a 24-min. clip), when I put both on a timeline, they reconciled within a frame. There must be some kind of imbedded time code that is keeping them in sync.
