Subcon process Scenario -- Is the below process poosible
Hi,
We wiill raise a purchase order on supplier #1 who is required to send these parts to supplier #2. We will then be sending,
from our stock, some additional parts to supplier #2, together with a purchase order to manufacture a part, which we require
them to ship directly to our customer.
How will be mapping this above scenario in SAP.
Thanks,
Kiran

1. Create a Purchase order for supplier 1 and in the delivery address tab at item details level in the vendor field give the supplier 2 number, system will automatically populate the vendor address(supplier 2) in the vendor address field.
2. Do the GR for the PO, stock will be at supplier 2 physically.
3.Create a Subcontracting PO for supplier 2, issue the spare parts and the parts from supplier using 541 movement type.
4.Create a third party PO to send the finished goods to the customer.

We are trying to implement a process so that any document that needs to be printed through our Java application will be printed as PDF using Adobe Reader. For which, We created and execute the below command line to call Adobe Reader and print the PDF on a printer."C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe" /T "\\<Application Server>\Report\<TEST.PDF>" "<Printer Name>". Current Situation: The above command line parameter when executed is working as expected in a User's Workspace. When executed in a command line on the Application Server is working as expected. But, the same is not working while executing it from Deployed environment.Software being used: 1. Adobe 11.0 enterprise version. 2. Webshpere Application Server 8.5.5.2. Please let us know if there is a way to enable trace logs in Adobe Reader to further diagnose this issue.
This is the Acrobat.com forum. Your question will have a much better chance being addressed in the Acrobat SDK forum.

How to deal with BRS for the below scenario?
Hi,
I would like to know the solution for the below scenario for BRS:
I have a customer who was maintaining their accounts with Tally software for their previous Financial Year. This year they have shifted to SAP B1 2005B. They have issued few cheques for their vendors in the month of march 2008 which has been realised in the month of April 2008. As per Tally, the closing balance of their bank is 8 Lakh but as per the bank statement, their closing balance is 23 Lakhs. In SAP, the opening Balance for the bank is considered as 23 Lakhs. Now there are 15 Lakh worth cheques which were not realised for the month of March 2008.
Example:
abc a/c - 3Lakh
def a/c - 5lakh
xyz a/c - 7 lakh
How do i reconcile for this scenario and what procedures do i follow in SAP?
Thanks and Regards,
KaushalHi Kamlesh,
Thanks for your response.
Actually, In the "Process External Bank Statement" window, i see that there are few entries which is for the previous year and which has not been reconciled. I have never worked practically on BRS and hence, i am scared to make any changes in the clients database without being confident on what i am doing. I need to reconcile for one of their Bank a/c for the month of April '08. I have the copy of the statements for the month ending 31st Mar 08 and 30th Apr 08. The closing balances are as below:
31/03/08 - 2300000.00
30/04/08 - 3100000.00
Now my OB for Bank a/c for April '08 in SAP is 2300000.00 Dr.
When i go to External Bank Reconciliation - Selection Criteria Screen (Manual Reconciliation), here are the detail that i enter:
Last Balance: INR -7,000,000.00000 (Grayed out by the system)
Ending Balance: INR -3,100,000.00000 (Entered by me)
End Date: 30/04/08 (Entered by me)
"Reconciliation Bank Statement" Screen opens up and shows the below balances in the screen:
Cleared Book Balance: INR -7,000,000.00000
Statement Ending Balance: INR -3,100,000.00000
Difference: INR 3,800,000.00000
As per the Bank statement, i have found all the transactions listed out here for the month of Apr '08 but, i also found that the open transactions for the previous month from April '08 have been lying in "Process External Bank Statement" window.
Could you please help me solve my issue as to what needs to be done or could you also get me some links from where i can get few documents for processing External Bank Reconciliations?
That will be of a great help for me. I need steps as to what needs to be done first and then the next so that i can arrive at the correct closing balance for the month April '08.
Thanks in Advance....

On Day 4:
DS--->DSO
Document Number| Customer | sales value|STOR_NO(ROCANCEL)
1001| RAMLAL | 10000|C
What will happen to the Sales Value in the cube?
What will happen to the Req1&Req2 in the cube?
Thanks
TanyaTanya,
Please explain with example
Scenario 1: Req1 & Req2 are deleted ONLY from change log on Day 3
On Day 4:
DS--->DSO
Document Number| Customer | sales value|STOR_NO(ROCANCEL)
1001| RAMLAL | 10000|C
What will happen to the Sales Value in the cube?
What will happen to the Req1&Req2 in the cube?
Document Number| Customer | sales value|STOR_NO(ROCANCEL)
1001| RAMLAL | 10000 |C
--> Here 1000 is not correct value, as 1000 is change to 3000. It should be 3000. record should be as below.
Document Number| Customer | sales value|STOR_NO(ROCANCEL)
1001| RAMLAL | 30000 |C
--> As this data related to sales, and i hope you are using standard ABR extractors(Business Content).
ABR datasources delivers before and after images.
Before image:
Document Number| Customer | sales value|STOR_NO(ROCANCEL)
1001| RAMLAL | -3000 |C
Before image:
Document Number| Customer | sales value|STOR_NO(ROCANCEL)
1001| RAMLAL | 0 |C --> value changed from 3000 to Zero.
If you are loading in additive or Overwrite into an ODS total sales for 1001 at end of day 4 will be Zero.
Hope it helps

Looking for information on the below questions on ASM
Scenario: (Oracle 10g on Windows 2003 with EMC storage)
ASM Partition table crashed for LUN 20 on 18th July
DB was up and running till 23rd July (New LUN (LUN 36) was presented and the RMAN backup used to restore the data that were residing on the corrupt LUN)
End of the day everything screwed up and the complete grid (4 nodes) was rebuild.
Links:
As mentioned in the link: http://www.exforsys.com/forum/oracle-database/487-what-asm-instance-oracle.html
"The ASM instance is only involved during the creation or deletion of files and when disk configurations change (such as dropping or adding a disk). When these types
of changes occur, the ASM instance automatically rebalanced the disks and provides the necessary information to refresh the extent map in the SGA of the database
instance. Of course, this process requires that the ASM instance run concurrently with the database instance, and only shut down after the database instance is
closed."
As mentioned in the link: http://www.orafaq.com/wiki/ASM_FAQ#ASM_disk_header.2Fsuperblock_backups.3F
"ASM disk headers (super-blocks) cannot be backed up and restored in Oracle 10g. By implication, if you use EXTERNAL REDUNDANCY and a single disk's header is
accidentally overwritten, the entire disk group will have to be restored."
As mentioned in the link: http://www.datadisk.co.uk/html_docs/oracle/asm.htm
"ASM is a special instance that does not have any data files, there is only ASM instance one per server which manages all ASM files for each database. The instance
looks after the disk groups and allows access to the ASM files. Databases access the files directly but uses the ASM instance to locate them. If the ASM instance is
shutdown then the database will either be automatically shutdown or crash. "
With the above scenario and the documents provided in the links above, I am unable to get the complete picture of what went wrong. Will be great if some one could
through more light on the below questions. (Note: we have multiple vendor engaged managing different part of this outage and unable to get the real fact of what went
wrong)
1, The ASM had given the details of the disk to the DB, and the DB is managing the disk directly. Also the DB and the ASM instance were up and running till 23rd is
what i understand going by the details given in the above links, in this scenario how can we confirm that the partition table is corrupt / missing. Is their a way to
check the same?
2, ASM disk headers (super-blocks) cannot be backed up, that means that it can not be read directly. Then is it possible to say that the ASM disk header is corrupt /
missing?
3, If the ASM disk header / partition table of LUN 20 is corrupt on 18th, can the DB run till 23rd without any issue? will the ASM & DB does not crash?
4, ASM will strip the data across the available LUN's, will it not be able to rebuild the data on the newly presented LUN 36 instead of using RMAN backup to rebuild the
data? or is the ASM not configured as it should be done. (WE have multiple LUN's presented to this Grid)

About Flashback malware
Back up all data, if you haven't already done so.
Select ▹ Software Update to install the latest Java update (if Java is already installed) or the Flashback malware removal tool (if Java is not installed under Lion), as well as any other available updates. Installing either of those items should clear the infection in most cases. You must update to the latest version of Mac OS X 10.6 or 10.7 before you can install the Java update.
The removal tool runs automatically in the background and is then deleted. Don’t look for something to click. If the malware is removed, you’ll be notified.

Unable to Load the Integration scenario into the Integration directory
Hi All,
I am new to using SAP XI.
Require your help on the following issue.
I have built an Integration scenario, added Component Type: Product Version, inserted actions and connections.
I did check for any errors. I found no errors.
When I am trying to load this scenario into the Integration directory its not showing up the scenario in the popup.
Navigation:
Directory > tools> Transfer scenario from repository
The status of Integration Scenario in the builder shows as
"Being processed".
I created the scenario 2 days back.
Can some one help me in this?
Regards,
MeherHi All,
Thanks to all who helped me.
michal, divija : Can you please let me know in details how to activate Business Scenario?
I did not create any business process.
Sridhar: I did releases some locks on my process, no luck.
Can you please explain me in more details?
Should I have a process build for my Integration scenario to be activated?
Thanks,
Meher -
Hello i m sharing to the forum the discussion we had in fb about my issue with a host see below:
Guys anyone saw this error when u try to add the ESX to n1kv it give the below error
vDS operation failed on host esxXX, An error occurred during host configuration. got (vim.fault.PlatformConfigFault) exception
on the esx it shows correct version of vem version
/var/log # esxcli software vib list | grep cisco
cisco-vem-v162-esx 4.2.1.2.2.1a.0-3.0.1 Cisco PartnerSupported 2013-10-29
I did try with the version Nexus1000v.4.2.1.SV2.1.1 and then with this is the latest version of cisco Nexus1000v.4.2.1.SV2.2.1a but shows same error
maybe u guys saw it before
- Robert Burns - Usually means the VSM doesn't have the appropriate VIB file for that version of ESX. You can simply manually install it using ESX CLI. You can pull down the appropriate VIB from VMware's site. Which version of ESX (Build) are you running?
- ME - i think maybe is related to old config of old n1kv i tried add another host and it works but it doesn t show the same dvs switch name
cannot add this host to n1kv
/var/log # net-dvs -l
switch 38 51 17 50 5d df 21 d0-29 b5 8c a7 df e8 e0 1b (cisco_nexus_1000v)
working ifne
~ # net-dvs -l
switch 09 72 17 50 f3 d5 87 8f-71 5b 8c 57 f5 fe b8 6a (cisco_nexus_1000v)
- ME - by the way both esxi have same build
~ # vmware -vl
VMware ESXi 5.0.0 build-1117897
VMware ESXi 5.0.0 Update 2
/var/log # vmware -vl
VMware ESXi 5.0.0 build-1117897
VMware ESXi 5.0.0 Update 2
- Robert Burns - Are the two N1K's different versions? Likely yes. In that case your VSMs have the appropriate VIB for ONE version of VSM, but not the other.
- ME - both have the same version
~ # esxcli software vib list | grep cisco
cisco-vem-v162-esx 4.2.1.2.2.1a.0-3.0.1 Cisco PartnerSupported 2013-10-29

cisco-vem-v162-esx 4.2.1.2.2.1a.0-3.0.1 Cisco PartnerSupported 2013-10-29
- ME - but one is already now part of n1kv and the other doesnt want to be added
- Robert Burns - Have you tried doing a hotswap -u - reboot - then try to re-add the host.
- ME - the command vemcmd show card shows that he still think he s part of the old n1kv switch i will try the reload maybe that will help
- ME - /var/log # hotswap.sh -u - reboot
The following switch is of type cisco_nexus_1000v: DvsPortset-0
Starting time: Tue Oct 29 17:22:18 UTC 2013

did it and tried to re-add and it shows the same error...
the net-dvs still shows another switch name

switch 38 51 17 50 5d df 21 d0-29 b5 8c a7 df e8 e0 1b (cisco_nexus_1000v)
- ME - i m trying a reboot of the host ...crossing fingers
- Robert Burns - Let's take the issue over to support forums and save the group of the spam
- ME - it s working after a reboot of the esxi host , it was showing a warning out of sync and i did re-sync in vsphere and it removed the warning. So just to be clear - your issue is resolved?
Robert -
From the Parent Table i need to insert rows which are all under this column {(TradeIn_1_VIN),(TradeIn_2_VIN),(TradeIn_3_VIN) } into SALES_TRADEIN Table .
I have used the below Query,
But it reads only (TradeIn _1_Vin) Column in the SALES_TRADEIN table rest 2 records got skipped..
INSERT INTO SALES_TRADEIN
SalesID,
TradeIn_VIN,
TradeIn_Make,
TradeIn_Model,
TradeIn_ExteriorColor,
TradeIn_Year,
TradeIn_Mileage,
TradeIn_Gross,
TradeIn_Payoff,
TradeIn_ACV,
TradeIn_InteriorColor
VALUES
@SalesID,
case when @TradeIn_1_VIN is null then @TradeIn_2_VIN else @TradeIn_1_VIN end,
case when @TradeIn_1_Make is null then @TradeIn_2_Make else @TradeIn_1_Make end,
case when @TradeIn_1_Model is null then @TradeIn_2_Model else @TradeIn_1_Model end,
case when @TradeIn_1_ExteriorColor is null then @TradeIn_2_ExteriorColor else @TradeIn_1_ExteriorColor end,
case when @TradeIn_1_Year is null then @TradeIn_2_Year else @TradeIn_1_Year end,
case when @TradeIn_1_Mileage is null then @TradeIn_2_Mileage else @TradeIn_1_Mileage end,
case when @TradeIn_1_Gross is null then @TradeIn_2_Gross else @TradeIn_1_Gross end,
case when @TradeIn_1_Payoff is null then @TradeIn_2_Payoff else @TradeIn_1_Payoff end,
case when @TradeIn_1_ACV is null then @TradeIn_2_ACV else @TradeIn_1_ACV end,
case when @TradeIn_1_InteriorColor is null then @TradeIn_2_InteriorColor else @TradeIn_1_InteriorColor end
END TRY
Actually my problem is
If [(TradeIn_1_VIN),(TradeIn_2_VIN),(TradeIn_3_VIN)] these 3 columns have details i need all the 3 columns details need to be read to SALES_TRADEIN table.
Suppose if we have data only in [(TradeIn_1_VIN),(TradeIn_2_VIN)] then these column details need to loaded in the SALES_TRADEIN table.
If any columns are blank no problem it can move next process.
Please help me change those particular lines to insert all the 3 records (TradeIn_1_VIN) (TradeIn_2_VIN) (TradeIn_3_VIN) in to the table. From SQL2008 on, besides INSERT-SELECT, and INSERT-EXEC, the INSERT-VALUES form of the insert command is improved. It can insert multiple rows like this:
INSERT INTO my_table(MyColA, MyColB)
VALUES
(1, 1),
(2, 2),
(3, 3)
You could also use that in SELECTs, like this:
SELECT *
FROM
( VALUES (1,2), (3,4)
) t(a, b) -
