Subcontracting in SRM

Hello,
We are operating SRM 5.0 in Extended Classic.  We are aware of the special stock restrictions in the SRM environment but would like to know if anyone has succeeded in implementing the following scenario.  (Note: Understood that custom development is involved):
1.) SAP Purchase Requisition is created with Item Category L (Subcontracting)
2.) SAP Purchase Requisition is transferred to SRM Sourcing Cockpit for Subcontracting PurReq
3.) Requirement is converted to SRM Purchase Order with read-only copy being changed so the Item Category L indicator appears on the replicated SAP Purchase Order from SRM.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
To my knowledge, Subcontracting process is not supported in SRM and hence you face this problem.
In any case Subcontracting Orders should have a transfer posting through mvmt type 541 for input components i.e(Send materials to vendor) and only then GR could be posted for the finished component.
Hope this helps.

  • Confirming subcontracting PO's in SRM

    Hi Experts,
Did any of you managed to confirm a backend subcontracting PO in SRM using transaction BBPCF03?
Confirming non-srm backend PO's is possible within the standard, but when I try to confirm a subcontracting PO the system issues the following message: "PO contains no items for confirmation".
I managed to confirm 'normal' backend PO's.
    Thanks for your help!

  • Use material number with profile serial number in SRM

    Hello,
I created a material number in the back-end and I transfered it to the
    SRM.
After creating and approving the PO with that material number, I tried to
create a confirmation in the SRM and I got the error message:
"Maintain serial numbers for total quantity".
I do not have an a suitable field in the SRM.
    Please advice.

    check it up in ECC.
even if you do MIGO, you will get same erro message.
    Note 1278707 - BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE: Message M7 175 during goods receipt
You are using BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE to perform a goods receipt posting for a subcontracting purchase order where the materials being received are serial number managed. The BAPI incorrectly returns the error message M7 175 (Maintain serial numbers for total quantity) even though the correct number of serial numbers are being passed over in the parameter table GOODSMVT_SERIALNUMBER. This error also occurs when the serial numbers should be automatically created during the goods receipt posting (controlled by the field SERIALNO_AUTO_NUMBERASSIGNMENT in the table GOODSMVT_ITEM).
Note 1337306 - Goods receipt for stock transport order with serial numbers
In transaction MIGO, you post a goods receipt for stock transport orders for a material with serial number requirement and the system issues error message M7 175: "Maintain serial numbers for total quantity". On the "Serial Numbers" tab page, all you are told is that the item is not relevant for serial numbers. You are therefore unable to maintain serial numbers, even though there is a serial number requirement for this transaction/event. You can post the goods receipt in transaction MB01.

  • SRM 7.0 & Ordering for stock / inter-company-code stock transport orders

    Hello SRM Colleagues,
We are implementing SRM 7.0 used with ECC 6.0 and the client has the requirement to be able to order goods for stock and to initiate the inter-company-code stock transport orders (which I mean is actually and MM standard function).
Any advice about this topics please?
    Thanks in advance,
    Michal

    Hi Michal,
The client want's to use SRM as a tool for issueing all requisitions among the company and transfering it to ERP.
    Seams, there will be limitations.
Does this mean that your client will not use ECC MRP for planning the intercompany requirements. This is just for my calrification.
IF you are using calssic scenario there will be limitation while you create SC for the intercompany requirement, as it is required to falg "Order as direct material"(for direct stock procurement) in the SC system starts treating this as a extended calssic scenario to overcome this you have to enhance and trick the system by assiging as dummy cost object to SC cart in the background and strip off the cost object while sending the SC to ECC for creating PR or PO as per your client requriement.
Is your client requirement only restricted to inter company procurment using SRM or do they want to use SRM for all direct procurement(project stock, consignemnt, subcontracting). Irrespective of Classic to Extended classic SRM will not support out of box all the specail procurement scenarios.

  • Stock Purchase in SRM

    Hi Guys,
I need some urgent help. We are on ECC 6.0 and using SRM as an Add-on component.
We are planning to create SC for Stock items also. We also use special stocks i.e. Consignment, Sub-contracting.
OSS Note 586231, says that we can't post to Special Stock if we are using Account assignment. But I could not find any information regarding the Inventory Procurement.
    So I've two questions.
    1. Can we use SC for Stock Items (Let me remind you guys that we dont have Plan Driven Procurement)
    2. Can we handle special stocks
Can anybody throw some light here quickly.
    Thanks
    Deb

When you create a shopping cart, if you goto the basic data tab there should be a button "Order as direct material".  This button removes the account assingment data and allows you to order to inventory.
As for special stock support, there is nothing in the standard to flag an item as consignment or subcontracting.
I havent tried, but perhaps you can add those item categories on the PR or PO afterwards?

  • How much ABAP programming is required for a typical SRM install?

I was wondering if there is a document that defines best practices for the use of ABAP with the installation and customization of SRM. Such as amount of ABAP coding typically required, and best practices around the use of ABAP for customization and configuration.
    Thanks.

    You may need following developments...
    - Validations for data with SRM Data or with ECC Data at BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI
    - Changes to the Data in SRM at Document Creation / Change BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI
    - Based on your Purchsing Contract Settings in Backend you may need some Enhancements.
<like mapping SRM conditions to ECC, creating consignment or subcontracting Contracts e.t.c>
    - Most importantly customization of workflows.
    - If your Buyers has any specific Requirement to be validated or evaluate then you should go for SOCO Custom rules.
    - You can group multiple Requirements (SC) into one Purchase Order.
ABAP is required at the time of standard issues with SRM5.0, to debug and find which note to apply -- I believe this is a critical part where an abaper can help in  SRM instalation.
    All the best,
    Vamsi

  • Auctioning subcontracted materials

    Hi all,
we have implemented SRM 4.0 with pland driven and strategic sourcing scenarios.
My client wants to auction the services related to the subcontracting process. I know PREQs with subcontracting items aren't relevant for plan driven procurement, but i was wondering: since in plan driven procurement it's the PREQ to make the rules and the PO is simply created with reference to the PREQ and takes all information from it (apart from price and conditions which come out of the strategic ousrcing negotiation), would it make sense to transfer the subcontracting PREQ forcefully, even loosing the information about the subcontracting (so beig treated as a standard preq), get negotiated through strategic sourcing and then send the PO back to R/3 as a standard PO? Would it take the subcontracting position type autoamtically from the PREQ? Has anyone tryed it before?
    Thanks for you help
    Simone

    Hi Simone
    Ofcourse, you have another solution...
Do not bother about the extended classic/classic etc.
Just pick the data from accepted bid in a custom program and create a PO in the backend by calling BAPI_PO_CREATE1.
Also ensure that you remove the 'External procurement profile' in PR before creatign PO. It will surely work but you will not be able to use Conf/Inv in EBP anymore.

  • Consignmant in SRM 7.0

    Hi Friends,
Im working with SRM 7.0 and I have a question.
Is consignment scenario support in SAP SRM 7.0? I understand that SRM  4.0 does not support consignment and subcontracting.
There is any way to use consignment in srm 7.0?
What is the relation between ECC and SRM in consignment?
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi
As rightly said Consignemnt is not yet supported in SRM7.0 as well, please refer the SDN link for more information:

  • Creation of a Goods receipt based on an ASN in SRM

    Hi,
we want to implement a scenario like this (with SRM 7.0):
    1) Requester creates Catalog SC;
    2) SC gets approved;
    3) PO is created (at this moment we haven't chosen between classic or Extended Classic scenario)
    4) Supplier Connects to a Portal (not SRM) and post an ASN in SAP Backend
    5) (THIS IS THE QUESTION): is it possible for the Requester (who created the SC) to post (in SRM) a GR based on the ASN that it has been created in SAP?
Additional Info: in this scenario SUS system is not foreseen; only SRM (EBP) and SAP backend system

  • How to get the values from table SKB1 R/3  to SRM

    Hi Gurus,
My requirement is to get all the values from the table SKB1 to SRM (i.e. in to an internal table) for doing some validation(G/L account XXXXXX requires an assignment to a CO objectXXXXXX.)
Like wise I have many tables for doing validation in SRM
Help me how to get this, suggest me any Function module with sample code.
    OR
Any Standard FM which will give all the values of the fields in the table SKB1 when I pass the key fields G/L account & company code alone so that I can improve the performance.
    Suggest me.
    Regards
    Paul

    Hi,
You can use the FM 's META_READ_TABLE Or RFC_READ_TABLE
Which SRM / Backend system version are you using ?
Are you taking care of the Importing paramater - DELIMITER in this case.. ??*
    See related links ->
Re: Retrieving data from R/3 into SRM
    Re: Product Search TIME lag
Else you can just call the remote enabled  FM "BAPI_GL_ACC_GETDETAIL"  from SRM.

  • Open and close a PO in web dynpro in SRM 7.0 screen .

    Hi All ,
I am creating a PO in SRM 7.0 by using excel upload via web dynpro screen .
After the upload , I see that there are some problems with the PO in web dynpro .
For example , when i click on the line item it dumps and there are some other similar problems .
When I save the PO close it and reopen it , the problem goes away . May be the system handles them in some way
So , is there a way in which I can close and reopen the po through coding ?
I know there are buttons at the top that close the PO , but some how I could not get the code for that .
I will really appreciate the help here .
    Thanks in advance ,
    Ambar Patil.

    Hi...
By first instance, i think that problem may be with uploading from excel. because sometimes excel data conversion will not done properly. So due to incorrect values, PO may go into dump..  that is my thought.
if not lets wait for others answers
