Subcontracting - Material temporarily comes back into Own Stock

Hello all,
My client has the following business process:
Raw Material is sent to the SC vendor for processing. SC Vendor does some processing and brings it back to the plant, say as SFG-1, for the partly processed material to be put to temperature treatment.
The SFG-1 that was brought in for treatment is taken back to SC Vendor's place as SFG-2. SC Vendor does further processing and provides the FG.
From my understanding, this is achievable using 2 Subcontracting POs and a Production Order for the temperature treatment. However, the client doesnot wish to break up the SC order and have it as one order, and at the same time, capture temperature treatment cost.
Request your suggestions on how to handle the situation. Thanks in advance.

Could you not have One PO, for which you do 541 and bring the partially processed material (provided it is the same material number) using 542 to a different storage location (created for temp treatment) and then again do 541 to send this material back. This way you will be able to handle the entire operation with just 1 subcon PO and also be able to track the material movement to and from the subcon vendor.

For ur scenario, u have carried out external service management process.
Because , subcontracting is nothing but , u have to X material and receivea as A materia or some different material.
SO if u r going to receive the same material , u can do it as service process.

Customer return cycle- GR of defective spare into own stock.

Hi All,
I am doing a returns cycle, in which the business process is as follows.
We have sold a machine to the customer and have taken an AMC.
Now if some component of the machine goes faulty, we replace it with a new one. However, we take back the defective component into our stock.
Now the problem is - how to take that component into our stock ?
I am trying by making a refurbishment order with the following data -
To Valuation type:
To plant:
To storage location:
I keep the from fields empty.
I select the object list and enter the serial no of the component.
The i release and save the refurbishment order.
Now when I try to do a GR with IW8W. it does not show me the serial no which i had selected.
I cant save and it gives an error "select serial no".
So please help.

If the material has a suitable serial number profile I think it will show a serial nos. button in the refurbishment order. But before that the standard process even for replacements should be the repair order (RA or RAS with service order type SM03). It has all the controls you may require in the repairs tab at item level. It has all the functionalities of the sales order also. You can from there get a snapshot of which serial number was returned, which was scrapped, which one was loaned, which one was replaced and so many other functionalities including providing a credit note to the customer.
So use, the repair order. Actually, it is the SAP best practice and you ideally should not use any other option. Also, the repair order can accommodate any other future requirements you may have. The refurbishment order (I think PM05) is for taking from stock, servicing and returning to stock but within the enterprise and does not accommodate the customer in it.

Problems with image names when exporting - images that have come back into lightroom from photoshop

Can anyone help ? When I need to take an image from lightroom into photoshop then back into lightroom and then I export that image, the original file number disappears and is replaced by dashes. Does anyone know how to solve this ?

The appearance of dashes usually suggests some kind of pre-set e.g.
Wedding-20150106-0001.jpg
The only suggestion I can make is that you check to ensure you are using the correct parameters in the templates manager.

Deleted Emails Come back into Inbox

I have a iPhone 3GS with POP3 email account. When i delete emails from the iPhone inbox, occassionally I'll receive the same emails as "new" emails into my inbox again...after they've been deleted. Sometimes i delete by sliding the message to show the delete button, sometimes i use the edit to delete multiple emails and sometimes i delete from within the message. i have the settings set to delete from server when deleted from inbox. any thoughts?

I have the same problem on MacBook Pro using os 10.5.8 with Mail 3.6.
I discovered that if I look at emails that have been sent to trash select them and press delete they all come back. When I do the proper erase deleted messages then they don't.
This might be useful on your iphone.
I now have emails coming back to me weeks, or months after I have deleted them, particularly ones with photos attached that I have sent through Kodak EasyShare, and copied to myself!! does anyone know what I can do about this? apart from being a waste of time, I might receive 100 photos in one day which slows everything down and effects my data usage.

Trouble with iPodrip - won't come back into iTunes, just to hard drive

This question may be simple to answer, but I am racking my brain and becoming more frustrated. Used iPodrip to get my music back into iTunes from my iPod, but it wouldn't bring it into iTunes and their support was no help so I tried to bring it back just to the hard drive instead and that worked. Problem is, now I have 5200 songs sitting on my hard drive and since they are not in the iTunes library I get the error that the original wasn't found and would I like to find it. Even if I drag all the files into the iTunes library it does this. Anyone with a quick solution other than going into each music file and re-routing the directory?

Well, it's there, I didn't glue it back because I didn't know what sort of glue to use and I figure this region gets really hot, so it shouldn't be just any kind of glue. I just slid the hd in with it, it's as good as glued.
A hint here: if you close the upper case just a bit wrong, chances are your dvd drive won't work anymore, it will start spitting discs and behaving like it's broken.
I for one wouldn't advise anyone opening the macbook case, it's absolutely painful and a lot can go wrong. But if you, like me, wasn't satisfied with the Apple Care service - here in Brasil the service provider I sent my mb to changed my battery for an older one and dented one of the tips of the battery case to the point it lost it's color - and you have a spare mac (I have a Core Duo mini, then good luck!

Downloaded Material Wont Come Back

I had to do a full system restore on my computer and all of the music I had downloaded off of my old iTunes is now gone since I had to start all over. Is there anyway for me to bring that stuff back?? I spent some good money on those cd's.

You don't maintain a backup of all important info/music/pics/docs/etc?

You can try e-mailing itunes support to see if they will make an exception, but they are not obligated to do so.

I am having a problem with email, when I delete messages from my Ipad, they come back into trash whether they are on my PC or not. The only way I can delete them is to to my providers site and delete everything there.

I am having a problem with email. I can receive and send, but when I delete, the deleted messages return into either Trash or Bin or both whether or not I have deleted them from my PC.
The only way I can get rid of them permanently, is to go into my area of my providers site(Sky) and empty all of the boxes there. I imagine it's a setting, please advise.

In email (gmail) when I delete a message in one of my email accounts inbox and then close email, the next time I open email for that account all of the deleted messages reappear in my inbox. My email settings are to move all deleted messages to Trash upon closing email but but that doesn't work in one of my email accounts. It works fine in another gmail account I have. How do I get rid of the emails I wish to delet permanantly?

I am wondering if anyone is seeing my question? This is my first time and I am not sure if I am communicating correctly. If you are seeing the question above regading deleted messages reappearing please reply so I will at least know I am getting the message out.

Movement Type from Customer owned Stock back to Plant Stock

Is there a Mov. Type that allows you to transfer from Customer owned Stock back to Plant Stock, without creating any FI Documents? Please help thanks in advance Carlo

What is customer owned stock?
from my point of view it is any stock that you and others sold to this customer. not in your system at all.
If you want to get it back to your promises, then you have to create a customer return.
The customer return goes into return stock, this does not create any financial postings.
But if you transfer the retun stock into own stock, then you create an accounting doc with value (quantity * price / price unit)
You cannot create stock for a valuated material without any financial document

Transfer Cost center stock into Own

Dear all,
Material procured against cost center and GRN made accordingly (Cost center). Out of these stocks partial goods issues also done.
Now the remaining stock (showing in cost center) want to take into own stocks i.e Cost center stock to Own stock. Please suggest the steps and movement types doing this and any accounting related issues to take care while transferring these type stocks??

are u saying that the material procured via po with accoutn assignement cost center and it is stored in sloc
i afraid this is not possible as at the time of gr system will hit the consumption account and goods are considered to be consumed so there is no question of stock avilabe for accoutn assigned po that is for the cost center
and if in any case u are able to do so then do the materia to material transfer via tocde mb1b and movmeent type 309
but in that case u need to creata material master with same material type and valuation calss as that ofcost center material

It then takes me into google maps where I constantly discover that the pin has moved. It often moves off the property of the addresss or building I dropped a pin on. I am trying to solve this. You cannot jump back to the executeion section from its corresponding exception handler. If you wanted to continue processing after handling the exception, then handle exception locally.

Color change after merging to HDR Pro, going back into Lightroom

I recently updated Lightroom and now when I "merge to HDR Pro in PS" the photo then comes back into lightroom with highly elevated contrast. I have set the color options to ProPhotoRGB in Lightroom and Photoshop. and the image looks fine when going from LR to PS, and it looks fine in "preview" after saving the image as a TIFF. But once that TIFF gets imported back into LR it has all those weird color changes. I'm not sure what to do, and I never had this problem until I recently updated photoshop and lightroom. Any help you would be appreciated. thanks!

The image will look different in PS than in LR. PS uses the embedded preview and LR uses the actual 32 bit image data. You need to apply the LR Develop module Basic panel Tone settings to the 32 bit HDR TIFF.
