Subcontracting PPMs for two subcontractors

Hi all,
We have an issue using subcontracting in SNP.
The demand from the customer is to have two subcontracting options available for a material/locations, and the planning to be split by a quota.
In ECC we have in the material master a prod. version (X001), using a dummy subcontracting work-center.
Also we have two info-records, both having the production version (X001) attached.
In APO 4.1 we have two external procurement relationships (as expected from two PIRs) and two PP/DS PPMs (for both subcontractors).
But both PP/DS PPMs have the same Plan name, they differ only by the source of supply. And as the mode generation combination is created by the PP/DS Plan name, it creates only one, therefore we get only one SNP PPM - using one (the older) of the subcontractors. If a planned order is created in the second one, the order has no source of supply.
What is wrong in our scenario? Is there a way to use two subcontractors at the same time (for the moment the only problem seems to be the missing SNP PPMs)

Does your vendor's supply more than 1 plant? If so, you should use location type subcontractor vs vendor.
You will need to modify the naming convention for SNP PPM's.
Most of the clients I have been at, modified the naming convention for both PP/DS and SNP PPM's to match a more simplified and logical naming convention.

Sub Contracting Cycle
(1) You have a material that can be procured externally, and you have maintained BOM with components. Any waste generated and received during subcontracting process can be maintained as component with negative quantity.
(2) You create a subcontracting PO (PO with Item Category L). You can also maintain Purchase Info Record for Subcontract category for material and subcontractor.
(3) You make a transfer posting to issue components for SC PO. Material is sent to subcontractor. As material remains under your ownership, system does not make any value entry. But quantity is shown as "Material Provided to Vendor"
(4) You receive finished material against SC-PO. You also specify components consumed in manufacturing of finished goods. Additionally, if you have negative components in BOM, now you'll also receive subcontracting by-products. There are three events, so three accounting entries are generated:
DR FG Stock/ SC By-Product Stock
CR Change in Stock (FG/ SC By-Product )
(for finished goods received)
DR Subcontracting Charges
CR GR/IR Clg
(for moneys payable to Subcontractor)
DR Consumption (Components)
CR Change in Stock (FG/ SC By-Product )
(material provided to Vendor is now charged to expense)
(5) You do the IV for SC Invoice, and the process is complete.
Process of Subcontract in MM
Sub-contract business process:
You want to buy material from the supplier (processed material/ assembled item) , but for some reason (quality of certain item / price ) you will give some component to vendor .
Vendor shall process the item / use the item provided & supply the final item.
SAP process:
1.Create the finished goods material code.
2.Maintain the BOM for the material.
3.Create PO with item category as "L" .
4.Issue material to vendor with movement type 541
5.Receive the material against the PO with movement type 101.
6.MIRO to account for vendor's invoice for the service charge& material used by him.
Can anybody tell me how a process has to be given to subcontracting?
Suppose, I have 3 operations 1)weaving 2)dyeing 3)cutting & packing
if no 2 process (i.e Dyeing) has to be given to subcontracting, what process should i follow ?

The following process to be followed for subcontracting.
1. Item code(material master) to be created at the stage of before dyeing.
2. Item code(material master) to be created after Dyeing as subcontracted item.(F30)
3. Bill of material to becreated for the material(2) calling for material(1)
4. Inforecord and source list to be created for material(2) with the corresponding vendor
5. PO to be released for material (2)
6.Along with PO the material(1) to be issued to vendor
7.On receipt of material when GR is made the stock with vendor will get updated.

How to Create a Subcontract Order?
To create a subcontract order, proceed as follows:
Enter the material you want to order and the item category for subcontracting (L) in the order item.
Press ENTER to display the screen for component processing.
Enter the components that the vendor requires to manufacture the product.
Please note:
You do not need to enter the date required for the components. This date is proposed by the system when you press ENTER.
It is calculated as follows:
Delivery date of the item - Planned delivery time
If you do not want the quantity of the components to be changed if the order quantity of the end product is altered, set the indicator Fixed quantity (column F).
You can determine whether the components are available on the date required by selecting Edit -> Availability check.
If you entered a bill of material as the material in the subcontract order, the components are created automatically.
If you want to determine the components in the bill of material at a later date (for example, if the bill of material is subsequently changed), choose Item -> Component -> New BOM explosion. The existing components are deleted and redetermined in the bill of material.
Save the purchase order.
When you print the purchase order, the components are printed per order item

In info record vendor should be maintained as subcontractor.
Vendor (Subcontractor) receives the components used to manufacture a finished product directly from your company or through third party.
Your company should place a purchase order for the finished product. In this manually you can enter the required individual components or it can be determined via the explosion of BOM (if exists).
Stock check at vendor level: ME2O
Company stock check: MMBE
GR for individual components through movement type: 501 or 561 (if with out PO or without reference).
GI to subcontracting vendor: through movement type 541.
GR from sub contracting vendor: through movement type: 101
Movement type 543 is displayed to cancel the material cost account.
If the subcontracting order has to be generated through materials planning,the special procurement key has to be set in MRP 2 screen.

Two Subcontractors involved

Pls advise on how to proceed for the below:
Material is sent from Plant to subcontractor A and from there to subcontractor B. We have subcontracting info records with both suppliers but in the PO only one is taken into account in the price calcualtion.
The "SC vend" check box on the "delivery address" tab is also checked.
Is it possible to involve prices from both the suppliers in the PO.

Hi rajat,
You need to create seperate SC PO's for two vendors, as the component changes from vendor to vendor.
Create a SC PO vendor for first Vendor, when the Material is transferred to to the next vendor create a GR for the first vendor and PO for the next vendor, though the material is not exactly in your premisis.
Here first vendor finishid matl is the component for the second vendor and the final mtl is the matl you receive a your finished mtl.

Difference between Prod.PPM & a Subcontracting PPM

Guys,
I am working on the following subcontracti ng Scenario:
1. First Point to be noted "WE NOT PLANNING FOR THE COMPONENTS" . PLANNING IS DONE ONLY FOR THE FINISHED GOOD (FGI).
2. Plant will only have Componay owned Components stock (i.e for instance if an FGI reuires components 1,2 & 3 then our Company Plant will maintain stock only for 1. Therefore when a demand of 100 units of FGI comes from a DC to a plant. Based on the PPM (which has BOM in it) the plant will supply the required Quantity of component (1) Stock to the Vendor & the Vendor will mange by itself the number of components 2 & 3 & finally supply's the FGI to the Plant.
In this Scenario what kind of PPM do we have to send accross to APO plant?
Is it a Prod PPM or a Subcontracting PPM?? (This option of Prod PPM & Subcon PPM is present in the Integration model.)
Please advice.

Hi ,
The main difference between normal and subcontracting PPM is that the subcontracting ppm is created at the vendor location in APO and creates planned order at the vendor location for generation of the dependent demand for components. In your case you only need to have component 1 in the BOM and the stock transfer to stock at subcontracting vendor for component 1 only.
As you said you can map it through the Subcontracting PPM with Vendor location in APO. There is also an alternate method in PPDS where you can create as a normal PPM without vendor location. you can refer to subcontracting in PPDS without source SAP help under crosslocation topics. But this has a constraint that if the same vendor is used by multiple plants then it is not recommended.
I would suggest you can map it through the subcontracting PPM in PPDS.

Disregard the question. The solution has nothing to do with any "Firefox bug". Turns out that my session wasn't being managed properly. Or rather, I was accidentally deleting other users' information when new users logged in. So if I had user 1 and user 2, and user 2 logged in after user 1, some of user 1's information would be deleted, resulting in the errors.
Oops; sorry about the false alarm. :)
(Was hoping to retract the question, but it looks like others have a similar problem.)

Why is 50GB of music gone? All music should exist on the computer. Only a fool would rely on a single device which could easily be lost or stolen to store their content on.

Hello mlazaretti. Vacation time is awesome. (Especially a road trip!) Since you will be going out for two weeks, you never know if having extra data may come in handy. I highly recommend switching to the next tier up so this way you have more data. This way it is only $10.00 more versus $15.00, and you dont have to worry about overages. Then change back at the start of the next billing cycle.

How to do Apache configuration for two different domains

I was just trying out some clustering workshop on weblogic. I faced a issue..here is the scenario :
I have two clusters :
Cluster1 : 3 managed servers (server1,server2,server3)
Cluster2 : 2managed servers (server4,server5)
I have two sample applications which i have deployed on these two clusters i.e app1 on cluster1 and app2 on cluster2.
These two aplications are deployed successsfully as i am able to open these applicatons from browser by calling the individual port of the managed server like : http://localhost:7003/app1.
Now i have installed a apache server on my laptop and configured the http.conf file.
Issue : I am not able to call both the application from apache. If there is only one cluster then it is working fine and for two application only one cluster (application) is working that too whose port is defined in the last.

So here for the above configuration only app2 i am able to call and for app1 its saying "404 page not found".

This configuration is weird little bit. There is MatchExpression /app1 and MatchExpression /app2 and at the same time two <Location /weblogic> sections. Are you sure you understand what that configuration stands for?

We are fellow users here on these public forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support - I've asked the hosts to remove your email addresses and password from your post. If that is your current password that you've posted for everyone to see then you should change it IMMEDIATELY.
I'm not sure that I understand all of your post. By 'google' do you mean your gmail email accounts ? If you do then how are you trying to access your email, via the Mail app and/or another app on your phone, the Mail program or a browser on your Mac ? If you are using the Mail app on your phone and you've checked your email account's password then you should be able to add that new password on your phone by tapping on the email account in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, then tap on the 'account' at the top of the next screen, and you should then be able to enter the new password. If you are using the Facebook app on your iPhone, and you've changed the password for logging into Facebook, then you should be able to update it on your phone via Settings > Facebook
If you are using the Mail app on your Mac, then to change your gmail password in it (assuming that you've changed the password for it) then go into Mail > Preferences (command-comma), select the Accounts tab on the preferences, select the gmail account on the list of accounts, and on the right-hand side of that screen you should be able to update its password.
If the problems are on your Mac then you might be better off re-posting in one of the other forums (e.g. Safari, and there are forums for various Mac OS X versions), and there is also a Using iPhone forum - this forum is for the iTunes Store e.g. buying, downloading content from iTunes.

My Apple ID is valid but My icloud account does recognize it. I've had iPod touch for two years

I've had I iPod touch for two years and have find my iPhone on it. I've lost it and now when I try to look for it it says my Apple ID is valid but does not have an icloud account. Like I said I set it all up when I first got it and use it a few times why won't it work now and is there some way to reassociate it with my ID. Is there somewhere my info is stored?

I suspect not and that the iPod has been restored and thus your account removed for the iPod. Then you iCloud account was deleted since you not longer have a device using it.

Unfortunately you've discovered too late how important it is to maintain an up-to-date backup of your iTunes library (and all other data of value). You could, before wiping the drive, have considered making use of a commercial data recovery service that could (albeit at considerable cost) have extracted your library from the hard disk, even if virus infected.
In the absence of that option, you will need to restore the content of your library from its original sources:
Depending on your location, you may be able to re-download any iTunes Store purchases that are still available on the Store
Likewise, most digital purchases from Amazon (including auto-rip copies of purchased CDs) should be available from the Amazon Cloud and via the Amazon Music application - the same may be true of other commercial sources for digital downloads

The specific situation that you describe regarding the music imported from your friend's external HDD suggests that either the source is badly organized and/or originates from a source other than iTunes (other media players may use alternative tags for information like artist, title, album, etc. that are not wholly consistent with how iTunes handle these). Without details of the issues you're seeing it is difficult to suggest a remedy other than going through the media album-by-album, track-by-track, and correcting the inconsistencies.
In the absence of a backup or access to the original library data there is no option other than painstakingly recreating your library as described above. IPod 5th Gen doesn't find any WiFi signals after battery was dead for two days.

I recently bought an ipod 5th generation, it only has the selfie camera (no back camera).
My battery then ran out, and my iPod was dead for two days.
My iPod charging cable wasn't working, so i went out to buy a new one.
After charging it with the new cable, it would not connect to the internet.
My brother has a 4th generation ipod and his picks up and connects to the wifi signal we have here at home, but mine won't even pick up the signal, or any wifi signals period.
I looked around here on the Apple Support but found nothing that helped, I already reset my network settings.
Is there any way to fix this?

How to create a single delivery for two sales orders?

Hi Experts,
I need to create one delivery for two sales orders. But it fails.
The route, shipping point, ship to party are same for both orders but INCOTERMS are different.
Delivery date, Good issue date, loading date,material availability date, transportation planning date for 1st order is 12/07/11 and for second order is 14/07/11.
I have created delivery on 14/07/2011 but the delivery is created for 1st order only, the second order is missing in the delivery.
It not happened because of incoterms.? different dates
Kindly help regarding this.

Prerequisite for Grouped delivery
1. Header data should be same like Inco terms,Payment terms
Go to VL10A
Enter the sales order Numbers and execute
Select the sales order Nos for the group delivery and select "Background" Tab in Tool Menu Bar
If delivery is created coloured line items will get generated
