Subcontracting stock initialize in vendor's place

Dear All,
Right now we are about to golive and for that we already initialize the stocks in the plant and storage location level by MB1C with 561 MT. But I have to initialize the stocks in the vendors place and also create the subcontracting challan for the same.So kindly guide me how to do the same in standard SAP.
Waiting for your earliest response.
Thanks and Regards
AKS

the process overview says create subcontract PO (ME21N) - move goods to subcontractor (MB11) - create Subcontracting Challan  (J1IF01) - MIGO - Reconcile Challan (J1IFQ)
As you have to enter the material document that moves the goods from your side to the vendor when creating the challan, then I would says you need to load the data in 2 steps: first you load it into own storage location with 561, and subsequent you do a MB11 transaction with movement type 541 to move the stock from your site to the vendor

  • How to clear the stock of material provided to vendor(subcontracting stock)

    Hi SAP Gurus,
Please let me know how to clear the stock of material provided to vendor(subcontracting stock) and need your help in what senario this stock will show in " Matl prov. to vendor "
    Thanks and Regards,
    SHARAN.

    Hi Sharan,
Matl Povided to Vendor stock will appear in Subcontracting scenario.
If at all you have given some material to a subcontractor , this will be consumed automaticaly when you will recieve the ordered material from subcontractor.that is 543 movement will take place in the backgroung when u do the GR.
In case if u need to clear the stock u can do 542 and take the stock back to unrestricted.

  • Subcontracting stock at vendor

    Hi SAP Gurus,
I have an issue with subcontracting stock at vendor. The scenario is we sent materials for subcontractor processing and we also did a GR against the subcontracting PO. now in MMBE, the unrestricted stock is shown in current quantity but it is also showing that stock is still with the subcontractor( the quantity which we initially sent with subcontracting PO for processing). Why is it so? can anybody pl help me on this.
    Thanks in advance
    Anusha

    Hi Srinivas,
Thanks so much for the reply. I just had a quick question. When we receive the goods from the subcontractor, i mean after the GR, when we go to ME2o, do we still see the stocks at subcontractor? becuase we have completed the GR process and also do we see the stocks in MMBE? please lemme know. Thanks in advance

  • Subcontracted Stock at Vendor has quality problem - must be blocked

We have stock at a Vendor (Special Stock Type O) that has a possible quality problem.  It must be put on hold until we determine the extent of the problem.
It is still showing up in MD04 as available stock.  I tried to move it to QI with movement 322 but it still shows up as available.
How can I block that stock from consideration by MD04 without physically removing it from the Vendor?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards to all!

    Hi ppkk,
    Thanks for your thoughts.
The problem is that this stock is at the vendor, so there is no storage location.  We have Quality related Storage Locations for stock in the plant, and if we move parts to those storage locations they do not show up as available stock in MD04.
But the Special Stock type O is just "Stock at Vendor" with no Storage Location.
I think that we would have to receive the stock back into our plant in order to move it to a Quality related Storage Location.
    Does that make sense?
    Thanks again.

    Hello,
If i wanna procure from second vendor and wanna get delivered material to the subcontractor directly.
Then what is process to follow??

The GR of a 101 will place the stocks at the vendor's location (seen in ME2O - SC Stocks per Vendor).  This should take the place of the 541.

  • How can we transfer stock from one vendor to another vendor?

    Dear Gurus,
How can we transfer stock from one vendor to another vendor?
pls tell the steps to follow..
    Thanks..

This is the Normal Third Party Sub Contracting
    Follow these steps
If components to be provided to a vendor are supplied not by your company but by a third-party, you can order the components from the third-party and specify the subcontractor in the purchase order as the delivery address. At goods receipt the components are posted directly to the stock of the material provided to vendor.
Entering a Purchase Order for Components
To order components for a subcontract order from a vendor and have them delivered direct to the subcontractor, enter a standard purchase order with a different delivery address:
From the Purchasing menu, choose Purchase order ® Create ® Vendor known.
Maintain the data on the initial screen. Make sure you enter the vendor of the components and the plant concerned.
    Enter the items.
Then choose Item ® More functions ® Delivery address.
A dialog box appears in which you enter the delivery address.
In the field Vendor enter the number of the subcontractor and select the SC vendor box.
Selecting the box causes the components at goods receipt to be posted directly to the stock of the material provided to vendor when the goods receipt is posted.
    Save the purchase order.
Posting the Goods Receipt of the Components
If the subcontractor lets you know that the components have arrived, you can enter the goods receipt for the purchase order. The components are posted directly to the stock of the material provided to vendor.
    Stock Update
A goods receipt posting has the following results in the system:
the stock of material provided to vendor at plant level is increased. The stock of material provided to vendor is not managed at storage location level, since the stock is no longer stored at your company.
Valuated stock at plant level increases.
    Documents
An accounting document is created for the material document.
After this normal subcontracting order for finished product.

  • About Movement type used in Goods Issue from Subcontracting Stock directly

    HI SAP MM Expert,
We have transfer material to subcontractor through transfer posting using Mvt. 541 and raised subtracting challan also. Material is not returned by Subcontractor and  now we want to debit Subcontractor A/c . For w we want to mkae Goods Issue (Direct consumption)  from Subcontracting Stock and raised debit note subcontractor through FI. In this case what movement type & Transaction code  should be used to consume stock from subcontractor account and t.code for raising debit note to subcontractor in SAP R/3 system.
    Pls. suggest the process.
    Regards
    VKM

For subsequent adjustment to subcontracting stock use transaction MB04
If the vendor informs you that a greater or smaller quantity of the components was actually consumed than planned in the purchase order, you must post a subsequent adjustment to correct the goods issue posting. The value of the goods receipt is recalculated to include the
subsequent adjustment quantity. (SAP transaction MB04)
Subsequent Adjustment to Subcontracting PO (Move 121/544)
Negative adjustment (Vendor Consumed Less but you Consumed
more in SAP and subsequently you did minus adjustment to component consumption
    in SAP)
    Debit
      - Raw Material Inventory (S)
    Credit
    - Vendor Subcontracting Charges (H)
Subsequent Adjustment to Subcontracting PO (Move 121/543)
Positive adjustment (Vendor consumed more but you consumed
less in SAP and subsequently you added further component consumption in SAP)
    Credit
    - Raw Material Inventory (H)
    Debit
    - Vendor Subcontracting Charges (S)
    Thanks

  • Subcontracting Stock Ageing

    Dear Experts,
Can anybody tells me, how to know subcontracting stock (MBLB) ageing. Means how to know, how much subcontracting material is lying with subcontractor for 30 days 60 days 90 days etc.
    Full Points to helping answers.
    GR

    Hi,
The Stock Aging Report displays the description of material that are stocked for n-number of periods at particular inventory locations( may be trading plant or manufacturing Plant). {{This is define in overall stock on value based, suppose a material is received in Feb-month, same material is received in Jan-2007 , DEC-2007  also. The total value of this inventory is say 90 lakhs, ( 30 lakhs of each month) so  system will show inventory aging as below
stock aging less than 30 days, 90 lakhs
stock aging more than 30 days but below 60 days 60 lakhs
stock ageing more than 60 days but below 90 days 30 lakhs
    Assuming that no issue taken place if issue is taken place, it will be deducted by default FIFO method.}}}
The details, which are displayed, are about the aging period for the selected items
    Try with T code are
    WSL7,MC.9,MC.A,MC.B & MC.C
If the above reports not meet your requirement, you should develop your own ABAP program to meet your specific business requirement.

  • Stock provided to vendor in outsourcing WM

    Hi,
I need any clue to "link" WM environment with the IM related to the supplier stock in the outsourcing (subcontracting).
In IM once you "Post Goods Issue" appears differentiated the stock provided to vendor from the stock in the warehouse.
I'm not sure about the best way to reflect this situation in WM.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Warehosue Management has nothing to do with subcontracting.
I mean the stock provided to sc-vendor leaves your SLoc via mvt 541 and gets to vendor's special stock, that is identified by 'O'+vendorID.
It leaves the Sloc and that's why it 'paralelly' leaves the WH as well.
No stock physically at you > no stock in SLoc, no stock in WH - since the stock is no more in the SLoc, it is no more in the WH as well.
I'm not sure about the best way to reflect this situation in WM.
The stock will be stored in the sc-vendor's WH that's why I don't understand your doubts about this.

  • HU:s at subcontracting stock??

Is it possible to make subcontracting stock HU managed?
I know that i can send HU:s out of my warehouse throuh ME21n->ME2o->VL02n
But is it possible to have "our" HUs visible at subcontracting vendor stock?

The information about special stock ('O') and the sc-vendor is sored in VEPO (VEPO-SOBKZ, VEPO-SONUM).
You can see this information in HU03 also on "Conts." tab.
In HUMO, on "Contents" tab you can get a stock report where you can also give the subcontracting special stock segment as selection cr.
So, the info is in the system, and you can get your report...if you also want to have the sc-vendor on selection screen and/or get a more friendly report, you have to got to development.

  • Batch determ. in Process Order doesn't consider Stock Provided to Vendor

    Dear Forum,
We have a problem with the following scenario:
We use Process Orders to manage our Subcontracting process. This is standard SAP, where the Operation is defined as 'external', and this works fine.
The scenario which we can not seem to be able to work is the following:
When executing batch determination for the component(s) which are batch relevant, the system does not show the batch stocks which are already at the subcontractor, i.e. Special Stock 'O' stock provided to vendor.
    This is strange, because:
    - In the availability check the flag 'W/o subcontracting' is not set.
    - The batches in the subcontracting location fulfil the selection criteria which have been defined in the batch determination Selection Class.
Does somebody have experience with this? Any hints are welcome.
    Thanks, Mark Voet

    Hi Mark,
As I understand you determine the batches in the process order.
From SAP point of view it means that you determine the stock which is to be provided to the vendor. Components with batches are copied into the PO when it is created from the PurReq and system will use this stock (batches) automatically when you execute MB1B541PO reference.
Later, when you do the GR against this PO, the same batch(es) will appear automatically for components-to-be-consumed (by mvt 543).
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/8b/55a026995011d195a2080009c17b92/frameset.htm
So, SAP's concept is that the batches which are determined in the order are those batches which are to be sent to the vendor - these batches will be posted from your storage location to the subcontractor. Stock in special stock segement "O" ar at the sc-vendor.
As per my best knowledge there's no solution in standard system for that if you want to determine such batches in the order which are located at the subcontractor...

  • Ways to consider the stocks provided to vendor on the MRP output

    Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement where the business want the stocks provided to vendor to be considered when running the MRP in plant.
This is a subcontracting vendor and when checking the MD04, the stocks was displayed as special stocks. Is there any way that we can consider subcrontract stocks for MRP?
I have checked already the MRP areas, but I since we have a lot of existing plants in our system. I intend to not use the MRP area as it might cause issues to planning in our existing plants. Is there any other way?
Please let me know your thoughts on this.
Edited by: ellen gatchalian on Jan 30, 2012 1:08 PM

    Hi Elen,
I believe by having BAdI- MD_SUBCONT_LOGIC implemented in your system, you can consider Subcontracting Stock in MRP.
Check with technical team to do the needful coding.
    Hope it will help.

  • Stock at SC vendor

    Hi
I am working on the subcontract report where the requirement is similar to MBLB except for the additional details.
I need to get the stock at the vendor along with the SC purchase order numbers. Now MBLB provides all the details except the PO numbers. I can view these details in MD04 and its also available in ME2O. Could someone tell me how I can retrieve this info in MD04 and from which tables this can be extracted for the report
    Thanks
    Venugopal

    Hello Venugopal ,
Based on the thread you have posted , I understand you want to get information on "SC Stock " from MD04 which need to be used in a report , for this you  can use FM (Tcode SE37 )
    Functional Module : MD_STOCK_REQUIREMENTS_LIST_API
            EXPORTING
              matnr                          =    Material code
              werks                          =      Plant
              display_list_mdpsx             = space
              display_list_mdezx             = space
              display_list_mdsux             = space
           IMPORTING
              e_mdkp                         = w_mdkp
           TABLES
              mdezx                          = t_mdez:
Upon its execution you get the data exactly as per MD04 lines ,(Table : mdezx)  Later on you can filter the output based on
t_mdez1 BY delb0 as "MatSub " to get the exact quantity lying at subcontractor (SC Stock) against vendor code (which is displayed in field EXTRA )
    Hope this clarifies  ,
    Thanks
