Subforms -- Column Overflow Back to Top instead of Left to Right

How do you set up a subform so that on the Landscape page you can have 3 columns. When the data has filled up Column 1 on page 1, it will go to the top of Column 2, on page 1, and the top of Column 3 of Page 1.
If there is still more data, then it goes to Page2 Column 1.
Please help!

Displaying (Chinese) Text Top to Bottom, Left to Right

I would like to display text vertically in a JTextArea starting from the top-left, going down in columns and continuing from left-to-right in Chinese like this:

I looked at the API description of the ComponentOrientation class, which at first seemed to indicate that this could be done but there isn't static constant "ComponentOrientation TOP_TO_BOTTOM" that can be used.

I tried setting the locale of the JTextArea to TRADITIONAL_CHINESE, CHINESE, CHINA, JAPANESE, but with no luck. The best I could get is text going from left to right in rows rather than columns.
Is it possible to (easily) do this or do I need to do something fancy.

The core i18n libraries and Swing do not support vertical writing at this time. However, this is not an unreasonable request for some scripts.

Using HP 7525, any way to print right-to-left of the page instead of left-to-right ?

All printers (I think) print the page, say legal size paper, starting from the left-hand side to the right hand-side.
Anyway to reverse this? In other words, print a page from right to left.
For wexample, I have MS word doc page with some graphics. The print command prints the page from left to the right.
I want to print the page right to left??

So Idon’t know if these will work for you but I gave this a bit more thought.
1) Some printers allow for custom paper sizes, if you have this option in the driver you can try to create the size you want. I am not familiar if your printer supports this.
2)My home printer seems to start printing from the bottom of the page when it is set up as a duplex job (2 sided printing).
3) Another option might be to print if off normally and then start a copy job with the paper on the scanner flipped around.
4) Try different software that will retain the quality when flipping the images/text
This is all the ideas I have, I hope one of them works.

No, I don't mean adding a column (I did that right away). I'm referring to the 'Songs, Albums, Artists ,Genres, Videos and Radio' at the top. The fact that 'Songs' means something completely different in Classical Music (all instrumental are called 'Pieces' and 'Songs' are limited to works with voice) is something I've had to resign to over the years; this further bias against that kind of music makes iTunes an even poorer fit. Too bad there's no music player optimized for Classical Music...

Same way as before - click on the top. But the area to click seems to be slightly lower ... aim for the touch of the grey and black instead of the black.

Back-to-Top Link in BW Report in Portal

Hi,
I'm trying to determine the best way to insert a back-to-top link in a BW Report. The Reports are displayed in the Portal as an iView or External Service depending on other factors.
Portal is EP5 SP5, BW 3.0B and using the Web Application Designer to create the Portal Report.
Would like a link at the bottom of the report which takes the user back to the top. Similar to what is seen on most pages. Using simple Bookmark and link does not seem to work.

It still works on my iPad - is it working on any of your apps e.g. Safari, Mail, Notes, and are you touching right at the top of the screen (I've seen a few other posts implying that the area of the screen that you need to touch isn't quite as deep as it used to be) ? Have you tried a reset to see if it works after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

Reading PDF reports from Top to Bottom instead of from left to right in WS

When viewing a PDF Report in workspace and you choose next page, it goes left to right then down to the next section left to right when you have multiple members in the column. Is there a way to change this so that the view goes top to bottom for the first member then moves right and does the same for the other members. I thought I once saw a setting for this.

We have also tried to the same requirement. But we can't.
Only one thing we can do is, the end report can be set at the bottom with the property of "Align to bottom". But the Horizonal, vertical lines and grid not fills from the last item to end of report beginning.
I think this is most required to view the document perfectly or neatly.
Particularly in indian localization this is the must since the customer need to be declared the specific neat format to the legal departments.
Hope SAP Support should solve the issue. But I am wondering this question has been posted many times by many people but unfotunately nobody I think get the solution.

BEx Query Columns come back in different Order after drill?

I have a strange effect when I work with BEx Queries in Xcelsius.
On default, I open and display the Bex Query "A". Columns are in order like defined in BEx Designer (Column1, Column2, Column3.....)
I want to do a drill, and so in Xcelsius BEx Connection settings I set the Filter on Field "X" in the XLS and in "Query Usage" I addionally apply the setting "Refresh when Trigger Cell "X" changes".
Starting the report works fine. But when I do the drill and the Query refreshes, the BEx Query Columns come back in different order?!?
It looks as if Column 2 and Column 3 are exchanged.
How can I fix that?

After some testing....
This issue is independent from the filter value. But it only seems to occure when a second BEx Query connection is defined.
The BEx Query Data Columns come back in different order after
- Refresh on Trigger
- Refresh after XY Seconds
Any Ideas?

How to resize the stage from the top instead of the bottom?

Hi I am trying to resize the stage in Flash CS4 from the top instead of the bottom, as I left too much space at the top of the stage and don't need the stage to be so big. By default Flash resizes from the bottom.
So is there a way of resizing from the top?
Failing this, is there a way of moving all the symbols/objects in my project so that I don't create a motion tween but just move the objects for all of the frames in the project (i have quite a few tweens in the project)?

You can add a HTML snippet with the following code just above where you want the window to open,
The top of the window will be approximately at the bottom of the widget. To find the URL for that position publish the page and go to it. Then add #widget1 at the end of the url and hit the enter Key. If 1 doesn't sent you where you want replace it with 2, etc. It's a trial and error if you have many widgets on the page. The you use that URL for the hyperlink of the button. The resulting code will look like this: http://web.me.com/toad.hall/Demo_3/SimpleViewer.html#widget2

Placing ScrollBar Back On Top Of The JScrollPane

Hi....
Just a tiny problem......I have a problem placing the scrollbar back on top of the JScrollPane after few sentences of words are placed into the JTextArea at once. The JTextArea is within the JScrollPane.
Does anyone has any idea on how I can position the scrollbar back on top of the JScrollPane after the words are placed into the JTextArea.....???

Just some additional comments for anyone who is searching for this solution in the future (as I was today)...
Neither of these two lines of code did anything by itself. The scrollbar was left at the bottom of the text area.
myScrollPane.getVerticalScrollBar().setValue(0);
myScrollPane.scrollRectToVisible(new Rectangle(0,0,1,1));This line by itself basically worked - the scroll pane was reset to the top so that you could see the top line of text. However, if I had previously scrolled down, the scroll bar was not reset all the way to the top (it was just a tad below the top).
myTextArea.setCaretPosition(0);To get the scroll pane AND scroll bar to reset to the top, I used BOTH of the following lines of code. This is definitely the best solution I have found:
myTextArea.setCaretPosition(0);
myScrollPane.getVerticalScrollBar().setValue(0);Something else I had tried in the past was this:
SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
public void run() {
myScrollPane.getViewport().setViewPosition(new Point(0, 0));
});This worked in that it reset the scroll pane to the top, but you could see it scroll down to the bottom as text was added, and THEN it reset to the top, causing a "flashing" effect.
